It was fair to say that Dominic was looking forward to another term at Hogwarts. For starters, Diagon Alley had already proven to be quite adventurous even by just observing the students. He knew it was in no way going to be short either, nor without drama, considering all that had happened to him. Including but in no ways limited to getting his ear bitten, getting yelled at multiple times by Kayla Winters, encountering conflicts with first years, getting a bucket of water dumped on him by Cel-an-dine, embarrassing himself in the Quidditch Shop, arguing with the Malkin's Shopkeeper, and more.

Oh yes, the fifth year was off to a splendid term.

Rolling his wooden trunk behind him, the tall brown-haired boy pulled an official looking parchment from his robes as his golden eyes scanned the lines he must have read hundreds of time before. Meet in the Prefects' Compartment located at the front of the train to go over some general guidelines. Well that was a given; the fourteen year old would rather sit in the front anyway, even after his encounter on the train ride home with Frederic. Stupid angsty older boy.

Now where was that Prefects' compartment? Dominic sighed quietly as he peeked into each compartment in search of the one he was meant to arrive in first.

Ruby stepped on to the train and sighed she had left most of her dresses at home as mother had told her that she couldn't really wear them at Hogwarts, she walked to find an empty compartment and found one.

She sat down and wondered where Saku was she was supposed to have met her at the platform with her mother but she hadn't spotted her, she looked at her watch and saw that she was early, she tucked a piece of hair behind her ear and rested her head against the back of the seat, she was hoping that this tearm would be pleasant and that she would be able to get through the year, she sat up straight agian and smoothed down her black school robes she huffed she hated wearing things like this.

Ella walked onto the train, excited to start her third year at Hogwarts. She had had an awesome summer but she would see all her friends again, maybe in a few minutes! She walked into an empty compartment and sat down. Ella began bouncing in her seat. in just a few hours, she would be back at Hogwarts!!!

Theo dragged his trunk onto the train. His dad had offered to help, but Theo was a big 2nd year now. He could do everything himself now. Including tying his own laces. They were no longer velcro, a fact he was most proud of. He hunted for a compartment, hopefully one his sister wasn't in. He found one right at the front. Well it wasn't quite right at the front. There was one further, but it said that it was for the Prefect's. And Theo wasn't a Prefect.

He tried to lift his trunk up into the rack, but he wasn't quite strong enough. He pushed it underneath his seat. He sat down and his legs swung as he was a little too small. He pulled Eddie out from his pocket, as well as a cookie for the trip. He pulled a raisin out of the cookie and gave it to his little bat. Eddie munched on it happily.

Ameera entered the train dressed appropriatly for her first day at her new school. Though she had a few fashionable accessories to compliment her simple darkred dress. Having never gone to any type of school before Ameera had no idea what to expect of either the other students or professors.

In her trunk that was safely stored in the luggage compartment of the train she had everything and anything that she could possibly need for her first year. Ameera wondered if her mother India hadn't gone a bit overboard with the packing. Stopping to look out a train window she saw her parents and siblings on the platform waiting for the train to leave. Shrugging Ameera turned around and started walking along the corridor.

Finding a compartment with only one occupant she gently knocked on the door and then poked her head in saying "Hello! Do you mind if i join you?" Brushing away some of her dark locks from her face she waited for the girls response.

One of the first compartments Dom had peeked into, it was a young girl whom he didn't particular recognize which led him to the conclusion that she was a first year. Yup - this was definitely not the right compartment he was meant to go too. Oh what a shame it would be if Winters arrived before him to check in there!

The fact that Dominic couldn't particularly recall any prefects other than Anna or Winters, wasn't helping him on his quest for the Prefects' compartment. Who was the Slytherin Prefect? Racking his brain for the memory, he was sure he had met one who claimed to be last term... but for the life of him, could not remember as he bore himself away from yet another compartment. Sure the girl looked to be vaguely familiar, perhaps seeing her in a class or two, but having no recognition of her, Dominic just pressed on closer to the front-most compartments. If he continued far enough, he'd be in the engine!

Oh finally, someone he recognized even in the most remote aspect. If the fifth year could recall correctly, the boy was in Slytherin and quite remarkably seemed to appear about ten times older than last time he had seen him.

Perhaps he should ask little 'Feo' about the Prefect Compartment? But then again, that would waste effort and time, which something that Dominic was not willing to part with at this moment...

Theo heard the door creak and saw someone peeking into his compartment. He frowned, until he recognised who it was. He smiled and waved, "Hello Dominic. You are welcome to come and sit with me if you want. There is only one more compartment. And I don't think you are allowed in there. It is only for Prefects. But this one isn't."

Jack saw Ruby 'great' he thought, smiling to himself he decided to approach her "Hi, Ruby right?" Jack smiled

Ruby looked up and saw a girl stood there she nodded and replied "of course my name is Ruby" she made space for the girl to sit

Ruby saw a boy pop his head around the door she looked at him while he looked at her she didn't say anything she wondered if he was lost? but he looked old enough to have known his way around a train?????

Ruby heard a voice she recognised and looked up "hi Jack no not really i want my dress's back" she growled "mummy wouldn't let me take many" she decided to be friendly "how about you and your brother?"

Jack smiled "Why?" he asked "Oh, me and John?" he asked "We're good thanks, actually, John did kinda... disappear" Jack looked around.

Ruby thought for a moment and muttered "i must speak with him" she looked up at Jack and asked "excited like most people on the train?" she looked at her clothes again and groaned quietly

Apparently Dominic had took too long in standing in front of the compartment entrance of the young Slytherin boy. Blinking in shock, he listened to his words and then gulped as it seemed little Feo had discovered the compartment he was meant to arrive in first. Hmm? Should he tell the boy of his new position?

"Hey there Feo," he finally said after what seemed like awhile of just standing there, diverting his eyes from the young boy to the compartment that was to his right... the last door at the front of the train. He couldn't see if there was writing on the compartment, but guessed this was the one the boy was talking about. "Uh... Well actually, I think I'll come and join you later, as I have someplace to be first. Sound good?" Before he could wait for a response, Dominic turned abruptly from his compartment and stalked off towards the last compartment. If this wasn't it, then perhaps he wasn't cut out for the job after all....

Jack frowned as Ruby muttered to herself, he then smiled at her "Yep!" he beamed.

Ruby noticed that Jack frowned as she muttered to herself and she looked at him appologeticly "sorry Jack the last time i spoke with John i was afraid we left on bad terms and wish to make sure we didn't that is all" she decided to change the subject before he asked to many questions she remembered "have you spoken with my cousin recently Jack?" she smiled slyly

Theo smiled, as the boy didn't leave. He stayed and actually talked to him. "My name is Theo. Not Feo. I don't have a speech impediment any more. I got it fixed, when I couldn't say my brother's name properly. My mummy had a boy just before the summer holidays. His name is Nathaniel Newtington." He didn't know why he had just told this boy his life story, but he did.

He nodded, "Ok Dominic. I will see you soon." He waved goodbye to the boy and watched him head towards the compartment next door. He frowned slightly. How come he is allowed in there but I am not? Maybe because he is older. Or maybe he got made a Prefect. It can't have been the last one. Nobody in their right mind would make him a Prefect.

Danny West hesitated before entering the compartment, this was only his second time riding on the Hogwarts express, and he felt a little shy as he looked around. Dragging his beat-up trunk behind him, Danny trudged forward. He heaved his bag and trunk into the luggage compartment, and moved quickly to sit down silently.

Jack smiled "Don't worry, he's all about 'forgive and forget' you'll be fine" Jack told her, hearing her next sentence he blushed, he didn't know why but he did "Yes I have" Jack told her indignantly.

Ameera walked into the compartment and sat down next to the other girl on the seat. Placing her handbag in her lap she said "Nice to meet you, Ruby! I'm Ameera Riddle." Looking around the compartment for a moment she asked "So is this your first train trip to Hogwarts?"

Looking up as the door to the compartment opened she saw a boy who seemed to know Ruby. Turning to Ruby she asked "How come your mother didn't allow you to bring a few dresses?" As the boy entered the compartment and made himslef comfortable Ameera shot him a friendly smile saying "Hey, I don't believe we've met. I'm Ameera Riddle and you are?"

Ruby nodded at his comment about John and smiled when he mentioned Saku "i thought you had she keeps talking about you at Luncheon's" she said airily

Ruby extended her hand and replied "nice to meet you Ameera, mother wouldn't let me because Grandfather Malfoy pays a lot of money for them and she does not want them ruined" she growled at this thought again and smiled

Jack smiled as his blushing calmed down "She was talking about me?" he asked interestedly

Ameera smiled and shook Ruby's outstretched before asking "If the dresses gets ruined can't your grandfather just buy new ones?" She herslef had never had to worry about what happened if her dresses were ruined. Her mother baught her new ones so frequently that Ameera couldn't ruin one before a new dress took its place. But every family was different and her father was trying to teach her about handling money wisely.

Toshi walked around the train looking for a compartment and his friends.

Ruby nodded and replyed "yes it mother asked who you were after a while" she noted Ruby smiled at Jack and asked "why does that bother you?"

Twilight walked slowly down the platform next to a very tall slender man with waist length light brown hair with a darkest green bowler hat and a traveling cloak, who was pulling a large wooden trunk. Some other students and their parents turned to watch them, looking slightly puzzled.

"Dad I think I will be okay. Thank you so much for taking time out to bring me to the Platform. I know you have a lot of work piling up at work." Most people thought her dad was a pure-blood wizard because he worked at the Ministry, Department for Magical Cooperation.

"Now Twilight, you couldn't have managed all of this without some help. I am just sorry that your mother couldn't be her to help you on such an important day." His face clouded over for a moment." Now here, sweets, here ar two little surprises for you to keep you busy in your free time at school."

With that he put the trunk down and brought out from under his cloak a small cage with the cutest tiny owl and a brown and darkest green velvet gilded box. "This is Eveningstar, she may be small but she is very magical. And don't open the box until you have settled in."

Twilight took the cage and gilded box from her father. She already had a male cat hanging over her left arm like a scarf, purring contently, obviously this was his way to travel. "O Father you shouldn't have!" she murmured, tears were welling up in her eyes.

Her father picked up her trunk and herded her into the front compartments. He started walking hr down the hall stopping when he noticed a compartment with two girls in them.

"I am sorry," he said, "Is it possible for my daughter to sit with you. Would you mind?" Twilight thought she was going to die in embarrassment.
