A polished oak desk, located behind the study tables, sits in the center of the library. A few low shelves contain books that have been returned or books that are on hold. Behind that desk, sitting upon a stool, is the librarian, her head bent over a few rolls of parchment or a book.
As you approach, Madame Kohan looks up and greets you with a warm, friendly smile. “Good day. How may I help you?” She is eager to assist anyone; whether it be retrieving a particular book, giving recommendations, or perhaps even sharing a story or two with a student or colleague. | |

Reese was still leaning against the desk when the Professors arrived.She stayed very quiet when they talked.She looked down at the dead boy's boy.Who would do such a thing?You would have to be barking mad to do something like this.Especially to a little Hufflepuff.
Reese looked back at the Professor when he said he would take them to the common room.She nodded and followed the Professor out of the Library.

With one last look around, Madame Kohan turned and ushered the boys towards the double doors that led into the library. For her safety, and that of the prefects, she withdrew her wand and kept it close. Her head was clearer now, adrenaline making her heart speed up, but keeping her mind sharp.
As they exited the doors, she pulled them shut and locked them for the time being. With that done, she began to walk quickly towards the common rooms.

Anna approached the front desk once again and began glancing around for the librarian. She didn't seem to be anywhere around the front desk, though. Anna turned around and peered around the library, thinking maybe she'd see Madame Kohan lurking around somewhere. Unfortunately, the librarian seemed to be out and about at the moment. Deciding to wait, Anna leaned up against the fromt counter, hoping Madame Kohan would show sooner or later. She needed a copy of Through the Looking Glass, and she had no idea where to begin looking. Did this library even house muggle books?

There was a student standing at the desk as she approached, and when she realized that it was one of the prefects, Angela smiled and hurried forward.
"Hello, Anna." She greeted as she stepped behind the desk and set Raven on top, giving a warning glance at the creature for her not to move an inch.
"What can I do for you?"

"Madame Kohan...," Anna whispered. "I just dropped by to say...that shirt really becomes you. You should wear it more often." Anna gave her a thumbs up sign, and then added, "Oh, and...Go Gryffindor!"
Anna politely grabbed ahold of the librarian's hands and then placed a poster inside of them. "Have a super fantabulous Gryffindor-ish day, ma'am!"

Well. She certainly wasn't expecting that. Glancing down at the blouse that she was wearing, Madame Kohan looked at Anna. "Why...thank you dear." She finally managed to say just as the Gryffindor prefect placed a poster in her hands.
She glanced at it and then looked more closely. House pride; it was a refreshing thing to see, especially as it was her former house. "Thank you Anna. Have a nice day." She wished the girl cheerfully as she carefully rolled up the POGREBIN! poster and placed it behind the desk. She would have to save it in her office later.
