Barry nodded and headed to the library to find those books. Would they be of any use? Only one way to find out

Once she had finished with the other students, Madame Kohan slipped off of her stool and bent down behind the desk to retrieve a stack of parchment. When she stood again, she noticed Anna standing nearby. "Well, hello, dear. Are you in need of some assistance?" She inquired with a smile.

And now she was nearing the giant desk. Not to mention the librarian herself. Thankfully, there was already an older student waiting, presumably to ask the librarian something, and Juniper did not have to face the woman quite yet. She had time to figure out exactly what she wanted to ask.

Juniper stopped and linked her hands together behind her back, her eyes on her toes as she waited for the librarian to finish helping the Gryffindor girl.

Anna waited patiently while Madame Kohan ventured beneath her desk to retrieve whatever it was she was in need of. When the librarian reappeared, Anna smiled politely and nodded once in her direction. "Hello, Madame Kohan. Actually, I'm not in need of any assistance, but with all the schoolwork and classwork rolling in, I bet I will be soon. I'll be sure to drop by if I think of a book I'll need," she said. "I was actually just coming by to say hello, since classes have been in session for two months now, and I have yet to come see how you were doing. Is there anything I can do to help you?"

With her cheeks tainted red and her hair rather disheveled, Melina entered the library panting as if she had ran up and down the moving staircases some ten times, which, in a way, she had. After all, she had ran from the sixth floor to the Common Room to the Great Hall and then to the Library, always in search of any of her friends. Those who knew Melly would certainly be surprised to find her in such a frenzy but she just couldn't calm down and be her usual self. It was just SO exciting!

Suddenly spotting Juni, the third-year almost squeaked with happiness as she quickly made her way to her friend. "Juni, Juni, Juni!," She called in a whisper, tugging at her friend's sleeve while bouncing on the spot slightly. "You've got NO idea of what I've just seen!," She exclaimed merrily as she kept attempting to keep her voice under control. "It was this huuuge mirror and you were there, Juni!," She grinned. "And you were so pretty too! Oh, oh, oh, and Issy was there as well! And there were fairies and this beautiful lady and... Oh Juniiii!"

Obviously, the girl had no idea whatsoever that she was bothering those who were requiring help from the librarian.

Madame Kohan listened carefully as Anna explained her reason of being there. "Ah, I see. Well, hello to you as well, dear. And, at the moment, I don't have anything that I need assistance with. I've had several others ask me already..." She chuckled. "But at the moment, the library is in fine shape, though I will let you know if I'm in need of assistance." She promised.

Spotting two Ravenclaws nearby, the second whom was literally bouncing in place, Madame Kohan raised a warning brow. "Young lady, please keep your excitement under control. This is a library and you are disturbing the rest of the students."

Though, she, of course, couldn't ignore the student's words about a mirror. There were some mirrors around the castle, yes, but a huge one that showed fairies and other people?

Clearing her throat, and at the same time, clearing her thoughts for the time being, Madame Kohan spoke again. "Do either of you need assistance with something?"

What if someone else had already checked out all the books on the subject? Surely Juniper would not be the first to start her search in the library. But—hmm. Perhaps the librarian herself could be a resource. But books were better. Yes, Juniper would ask for books and then ask for first-hand information.

Suddenly someone was tugging on her sleeve. Eyes widening to the point where they were nearly bulging, Juniper turned and stared at Melly. What on earth--?

“Fairies?” Juniper whispered, not at all sure what her friend was talking about. Fairies in a mirror? With her and Issy? “What are you talking about, Melly? What’s wrong?”

The fourth year spun around again, her mass of dark curls nearly whacking Melina up the side of her head. Oh. The librarian was talking to talking to them. They were being loud? No, Melly was being loud. Juniper had barely made a peep. But still, what if the librarian took points? Better to apologize for Melly. What was she going to ask the librarian about again?

“Sorry, ma’am,” Juniper said, lowering her eyes. Then she remembered what she was going to ask. “I was wondering… do you know where to find out about ghosts? Particularly the Hogwarts ghosts, I mean…” Juniper looked up at the librarian, eyes wide and pleading. She really really really really reaaaaally wanted to learn about these ghosts. “I looked in the histories of Hogwarts, but there wasn’t much there. Or—do you know anything about the ghosts?”

Oh, please let her say yes. Pretty please with puffapods and bouncing bulbs on top.

Still bouncing, Melly's eyes grew wider with happiness as Juni noticed her and talked back to her, or rather, whispered back to her, which made Melina notice that her tone of voice was a biiiit too high. She wasn't shouting, oh no, and she wasn't even talking per say, but the excitement must have made her voice slightly shrill, which would obviously make people think she was squeaking or something of the sort.

Nodding merrily at her friend, she grinned like a fool, showing each and everyone of her itty bitty teeth. "It's a mirrooor, Juni!," She told her friend again. "And you've got to see it! You have to see the fairies and the unicorn and --"

Suddenly, an extremely controlled voice reacher her ears, making Melly stop bouncing instantaneously as she turned around to see an older lady talking to her. The librarian, surely. At once, her cheeks grew red and she nodded shyly, slightly ashamed of her behaviour. Just slightly, though, for she was just far too ecstatic to fully comprehend what was going on. "Sorry, ma'am," She whispered, her voice quieter from then on, hoping she could drag Juni out of there to tell her exactly - no, to SHOW her exactly what she was talking about.

She was about to do so when her friend mentioned ghosts. Ghosts? And THE Hogwarts ghosts? Mouth turning into a tiny 'O' of surprise, Mel couldn't, in all of her giddyness, stop herself from cutting in. "I saw ghosts near the mirror," She nodded before frowning at herself, now quite less happy. "They kicked us out of the room," She sighed. "I bet they're still there, though. They looked too keen on the mirror," She nodded. "Can't blame them though. It's beautiful," She smiled, her eyes growing glassy as she dove into memories of what had she had seen just some moments before.

Anna smiled politely. "Well then, in that case, I've just stopped by to say hello," Anna said. "Or, actually, I do have a quick question for you. Do you happen to have any books...or information...on the Mirror of Erised? Not only that, do you happen to know anything about ghosts? Particulary Moaning Myrtle, the Bloody Baron, the Fat Friar, Nearly Headless Nick, the Grey Lady, and Peeves?" Anna looked at the librarian with expectant eyes. If anyone had an extra information on the weird happenings at Hogwarts, it'd be Madame Kohan. Anna glanced over at the shelves for a moment, remembering the time she'd had a brief encounter with the Grey Lady. Surely the librarian knew stories of the ghosts who'd been obviously floating in and out of her library for Merlin knew how long. Anna glanced back at Madame Kohan once again, giving her a look that said Anna was just so sure she was about to find out some really juicy information.

As the quieter Ravenclaw turned towards her and began to make her request, Madame Kohan leaned against the desk, listening carefully. Of course. More students were coming in to inquire about the ghosts.

"Well, dear, as I told another Ravenclaw, there are some books available here in the library. The two that come to mind are titled 'What Happens when We Die?' and 'Spirits and More' Both should be located upstairs. Hogwarts, A History may also contain information about the ghosts that you wish to research."

Madame Kohan gave a curt nod as the girl apologized for her excitement. She didn't mind excitement, but the shrill voice had to stop.

She paused at that moment, staring towards Melina. "Ghosts near the mirror? The mirror where you saw the faeries and such?" She inquired. What could she possibly be referring to? And why were the ghosts hanging around a mirror? Certainly not because of its beauty. There must be another reason.

Now, thoroughly curious, Madame Kohan leaned towards the girl. "Where is this mirror?"

Straightening up immediately as Anna made mention of the Mirror of Erised, Madame Kohan studied her with intense scrutiny. "I know a bit of information on it...not much...mostly that it is not an ordinary mirror; that it shows the viewer what their heart most desires. It does not show the future, and thus the viewer must be very careful to understand that what is being shown is not the absolute truth. In fact, a person's deepest desire may indeed occur at one point in the future, but perhaps not in the way that they've imagined it or not in the way the mirror had shown it. Putting absolute faith in the powers of the mirror has the risk of crushing a person's spirit."

For a moment, she wondered briefly what the mirror would show her, but quickly discarded the thought. However, another thought quickly occurred. The mirror that Melina had mentioned had to be the Mirror of Erised! The revelation startled her momentarily. The mirror? Here at Hogwarts?!

Clearing her throat again, she looked back at Anna, intent on answering her second question.

"As for the ghosts...it has been quite some time since the ghosts have been seen at Hogwarts. I'm just aware that they disappeared some time ago, though I do wonder the reason why they've suddenly appeared again...what could have occurred to bring them back? It had to have been something on a large scale." She mused aloud. "I would have to say that the best source of information would be to approach the ghosts and ask them your questions. Of course, it's not a guarantee that they will tell you anything, but you could always try."

"Ah, Madame Kohan!" Vindictus greeted his colleague a little too loudly. "I'm leading a study group tonight in the Restricted Section, if you don't mind."

She ran into library totally out of breathe. Them man was so tall he was like a mile ahead of her. She had little legs for Merlin's sake. She didn't care what she thought of the man she wasn't going to pass up a chance to go into the restricted section. She looked back to see where Anna was. She caught her breathe and walked up behind the Professor.

Anna moved to stand next to Professor Vindictus, making sure she was included as part of the study group that had made their way from the sixth floor down to the library. She waited quietly while her professor spoke to the librarian, thoughts of what she might find in the Restricted Section drifting through her mind. Would all the answers be there? Would at least some of the answers be there? Anna fidgeted and switched her weight from her left foot to her right, anxious to get a move on and start the latest search.

Madame Kohan looked up, thoroughly startled at the sudden loud voice that called her name.

"Hello...Max. A study group in the Restricted Section?" No, she didn't terribly mind, for he was a professor and would keep an eye on curious eyes, but she wished he would have asked earlier.

"If you don't mind my curiosity...what is this study group focusing on that would require entrance into the Restricted Section?"

Lyra ran all the way down to the library trying to keep up with these people. She needed a broom. It didn't matter if she had long legs or not, that was HARD! She then saw that they were as the front desk and immediately headed that way. "Here," she said out of breath, placing her hand on the desk for support.

"The old history books on the school," Vindictus answered. "The Latin tomes and perhaps a few of the books written in runes. We've uncovered an artefact that requires research." He leaned forward and whispered. "The Mirror of Erised."

A light of sudden understanding dawned in her eyes as Vindictus answered her. So, her thoughts had been correct. It was the Mirror of Erised that had been found here in Hogwarts. What an exciting prospect!

"Oh, yes, of course. Well, in that case, you're more than welcome to hold the study group. I do believe I'll join you myself. Such a topic is most interesting to me." She replied with an easy smile that hid the excitement that she felt.

"Thank you, Madame Kohan!" Vindictus said and took her right hand, on which he planted a gentle kiss on her soft knuckles. "Can you please lead the way and unlock that fearsome cage so that we may begin our exciting search for information?"

Anna's face widened into a huge smile upon hearing that they'd indeed be allowed into the Restricted Section. She stood up straight and tall and nudged her friend Lyra, nodding and smirking at the Hufflepuff girl. They were about to uncover some really exciting news. Anna just knew it! She stood still and quiet, waiting for the adults to lead the way. Maybe a ghost or two would pop up and assist with the search!

She couldn't believe that she was going into the Restricted section of the library, this was too sweet. She was almost bouncing.

Despite the professional relationships that Angela had with her colleagues, she was a sucker for sweet mannerisms such as the one that Max was currently exhibiting. With a soft chuckle, she stepped around the desk. "Of course. Right this way everyone!"

"Do what Madame Kohan says - let's follow her, troops!" Vindictus grinned and followed Angela down the aisles to the Restricted Section.

Lyra finally felt her chest returning to normal as she was still clinging to the pink pradas, Bunbuns pink Prada shoes. Oh this was such a shame that she had those shoes but...Ohhh! Restricted section? Can reach something? Allow me to place the shoes on my feet and I can reach! She turned her head with a smirky look to glance at Anna who nudged her. This was going to be fun.

She scrambled after the librarian and Professor Broom.

Right. Books for research. Juniper committed the two titles to memory and glanced at Melly. Her friend would come with her to search, would she not? Juniper did not plan on looking for the books right away. She wanted first-hand knowledge. From professors. And stuff.

"Thank you, ma'am," Juniper chirped to the librarian before grabbing Melly's hand. "We'll be back soon to look for those books."

Dragging her friend along, Juniper made a beeline for the library's exit. The Ravenclaw in her loved books, but libraries were too stuffy. Plus, Melly might want to squeal more about whatever it is she wanted to squeal about. And if the two girls were going to be discussing, they probably did not want to be in the library, as there was the chance their pitches could soar. Not a very high chance, but still.
