Vindictus grinned. "Glad that you liked it, but let's give a few more students a chance to finish the race." He looked over at a few who just entered the red rectangle with their brooms. OOC: I'll continue with the next task in two hours so that others can participate in the race. |
What on earth had Willow been doing throught the entire final, she wasn't sure, but as soon as professor blew his whistle indicating that they had to get on their brooms, the fifth year quickly mounted hers, kicked into fourth gear and as she tried not to collide with all the people that were flying around -which would have been an easy thing to do if she had been distracted- the girl flew around the pitch once, before heading off to . . . . . . Where again? The lake. Right. |
"Oh! Great flying, Rob," Lyra giggled as she was having too much fun with that task. "Professor Vindictus, that was awesome!" She loved flying and was more than happy that Agie taught her little things here and there. |
William snapped out of his daze and looked around his broom still in his hands. He so didn't want to do this, no way no how. It was bad enough he had to fly last time, that was okay, he wasn't going fast but this?!? Sighing he mounted his broom and kicked off, wobbling dangerously as he tried to remember where to go. Oh right, the Lake sure no problem, where was that again he thought looking around before taking off towards the direction he thought. Well, here goes... |
Copernicus adjusted his goggles as he made a slow first lap around the pitch. Yes, yes, of course he planned to go faster, but he felt so ill at ease. And no medical help? What sort of nonsense was that? He groaned, leaning forward to speed up around the remainder of the pitch. Once he passed the starting spot, Cope turned his broom to exit the stadium. Now for the lake, which actually seemed even MORE dangerous. Hello? Falling into water = drowning! |
Emalyn mounted her broom once more and took off, starting her first lap around the stadium. She sped along fast and made the lap quick, exiting the stadium. Woo! This was way too exciting!! |
After having landed in the red rectangle, Willow adjusted her googles once again, before making her way towards the lemonade. Sipping on her glass, and eyeing the gingersnaps carefully -for some reason she didn't want to have any- she waited for for further instructions. "Yes, yes. Great task, sir," seconded Willow, to what Lyra had said. Of course that avoiding the Giant Squid's tentacles wasn't something she'd been looking forward to, but at least it was better than Arithmancy and all its numbers. |
"Yes!" he exclaimed softly as he flew into the stadium, his sights on the red rectangle. All he had to do was land and he would be free for now. His decreased his height as he lowered his broom, his feet touching the ground in the red rectangle and dismounting. He didn't realize until than how badly he was shaking. If from adrenaline or pure fright he didn't know. "Yes, go...good ta...task professor." he stuttered as he got his breathing back to normal.. |
Emalyn slowed her broom as she landed in the red rectangle. She dismounted her broom and breathed deeply. She headed straight for the lemonade (Yes!! Liquid heaven!). She took a cup and sat down in the grass, brushing her brown hair away from her face and crossing her legs, her broom beside her. "Phew." she breathed, gulping down the icy cold liquid. Liquid heaven, that is. |
Ohhh it felt good to fly again. Cela had missed this class all term, and since she didn't play Quidditch, she hardly ever got the opportunity to use her broom. She kicked off from the starting position and began the loop around the pitch, slowly picking up speed. She had no intention of overdoing it since it had been a while, but it wasn't too long before she got the rhythm again and headed to the lake. Hmmm. She almost preferred flying on her abraxan, though this was easier. |
After shooting straight up from the swimming rock, Cope found himself speeding toward the stadium again. He'd done it! He'd made it through the entire course and was now back to where he'd started from. It felt like a minor miracle. With a grin, Copernicus eased his broom toward the red rectangle, landing in the far corner. Hey, whatever... he was inside it, at least! He fell backwards into the grass, glad to be on the earth again. |
She smiled and shot off to do her part. She zoomed fast around the pitch and then shot off toward her next destination. This was fun. |
Herminny mounted her broom and took to the skys and made a lap around the pitch then headed for the lake. |
John smiled as he shoot off to do his part, it had been ages since he had been on a broom. He stoot off around the stadium and then went to his next destination. |
Vindictus looked at his watch. Time was almost up for those who just took off. "Were the cookies and lemonade a nice touch?" he asked and kept his eyes on the sky for the few who still had to return and land in the red rectangle. |
Cela flew back to the stadium and landed and dismounted perfectly in the red rectangle, letting out a little whoop of excitement and doing a cartwheel, using the end of her broom as a support. That had been wicked cool! She turned around and saluted Professor Vindictus, a huge grin on her face and she quickly headed over to the refreshments. |
Clifford's eyes were on the sky, watching the people who were still flying when he heard Professor Vindictus. "Deesh are grea', Shir," he exclaimed through a mouthful of biscuits. "Deed oo bake 'em yourshelf?" Oops. He hoped he didn't spray the people near him TOO much. |
TWWWEEEEEEEEEET! Vindictus knew that his whistle could be loud but this time the sound actually hurt his ears. "Sorry 'bout that. Should've told everyone to plug their ears, but time is up for the second task. Can everyone please assemble inside the turquoise triangle?" |
Clifford choked on his cookie when the heard the shrill of Professor Vindictus' whistle, and had to give his chest a THWACK to clear his airways. Oh dear. Eyes watering, the sixth year got to his feet, shouldered his broom and made his way to the triangle. |
Cringing at the sound of the loud whistle, covering her ears with her hands, and then frowning a little as she let them fall back to her sides, the fifth year listened to Professor Vindictus' instructions, before making her way towards the turquoise triangle. Now to wait again. |
William smiled drinking his lemonade happily, taking a cookie and eying it. IT wasn't that he was scared of eating it but the last time he had eaten a cookie he had been turned into a canary for an hour. Not something he wanted to relive. But he was hungry so he took a bite, eating it once he knew for sure he wasn't about to turn. "Yes it was Sir." he said happily, his free hand patting his wind swept hair down. He jumped a mile in the air when he heard the whistle, the rest of his cookie falling to the ground. He pouted before making his way towards the turquoise rectangle and wondering what else he'd have them do. |
Qaz made her way over to the turquoise triangle as instructed....ready for the next challenge. |
John landed on the Pitch. "Professor does it matter if you didn't finish the race?" He said, he should realy have gone faster but never mind. He then made his way to the turquoise triangle like the Professor said. |
Cela swallowed her mouthful and brushed off her hands, immediately heading to the turquoise triangle with her broom clasped in one hand. She was leaving a little trail of lake water in her wake from the splash she'd been hit by courtesy of the giant squid. |
Rian nodded to the professor and picked up her broom. She walked quickly over to the triangle, wondering what they were going to do. |
