Helena walked through the corridor brusquely as she exited Muggle Studies and headed up the stairs for he next class. She was smiling, but barely giving her surroundings a passing glance.

Helena raised her dark eyebrows at the turn of conversation, but commented not on it. Fourth. Though it's highly irrelevant to my age. I turn fifteen in a few days. She smiled briefly.

Chris saw Helena raise her eyebrows. "Sorry about the random question." He told her. "Yeah I will turn sixteen in January." He said and ran a hand through his hair.

Helena laughed softly and smiled at Chris. It's okay. I'm far used to it by now, just not when I first meet somebody. She smiled again as her pale fingers fumbled awkwardly with the clasp on her bag. It was out of nervousness - or almost embarrassment.

Chris chuckled. "Normaly I am not random like that. I think it's one of my friends I've been spending a lot of time with. She asks very random questions sometimes." He said and smiled.

Helena smiled slightly. Nice. He had a 'girl' as a 'friend'. Well there went that idea. She forced herself to chuckle as well. Really, it's no big deal. I'm just.... not completely used to it. Helena smiled.

Helena avoided his eyes as she said, Slytherin. She sighed and looked up at him finally. And you're in Gryffindor, right? Helena thought that a few of their classes had previously been together - the more general ones of course.

Chris saw Helena avoid his eyes. He raised an eyebrow. "Everything alright?Did I do something?" He asked slighty worried he did something. "And yeah I am in Gryffindor." He said and nodded.

Helena laughed and shook her head, her blue eyes glistening. No you did absolutely nothing. She grinned, I guess I'm just not used to people being so accepting of Slytherins. Helena's smile turned to a grimace, ever-so-slightly.

Helena sighed with relief and smiled at Chris. I'm so glad to finally meet someone who thinks like that, seeing as my best friend just moved away. She was still smiling, but her face pondered what she had said for a moment. Then again, I guess he did sort of care.... Helena shrugged and smiled at Chris again.

Helena eyed him skeptively, frowning slightly. Curiosity? Or - don't tell me you want to go beat him up? He's really a nice guy! She grinned, but then frowned again. Or you don't believe me. It wasn't necessarily a question, though it could have been. It was sort of an open-ended response.

Chris laughed. "Just curiouse." He told her. "I have to say I wouldn't want to beat up a guy I don't even know. And why wouldn't I believe you?" He asked. "I don't think you would lie about something like that." He said.

Helena grinned and shook her head, not really having any answers. He moved to the States. It was something about his dad's work or something. I dunno. She smiled slightly, recalling the last time she had seen him over the summer.

Yeah, well I just moved here last year, so I didn't even know him very long. I guess that made it easier. She mentally shrugged. I'm sorry to hear about your.... girlfriend. Helena smiled at Chris again.
