Kayla felt Lyra grab her hand and pull her and she went along grudgingly. "I suppose even putting up posters can be fun especially because it's you" she giggled.

Kayla turned at the sound of Gabben's voice and gave him an innocent look. "Us make trouble? I think you have us confused with someone else" she gave him a wink and smirked at Lyra.

"Yeah I do seem to have that effect" she said flippantly, although she would really rather punch him.

"Oh well it seems that you have that certain effect on people too..."Kayla gave him a syrupy sweet smile..."one where people want to throw things at you" she muttered under breath.

Lyra looked to Robert and smiled with her innocent looking smile still in place. "Well, I wanted to see if you wanted to work together for the History of Magic homework since we already started," she began as she freed her hand with Kayla's to push her hair behind her ear. "And the other girl that was with you, she was nice and I liked her way of thinking. Maybe she could study with us as well?"

She heard yet another voice join in with them and turned her head. "Gabben! Come help us put posters up. Join the crowd if you are not too busy," she smiled as she swung her head back around. "Unless Kayla takes you off again." Now that statement deserved a snicker as she began to ascend the stairs to the second floor.

*He frowned a little and walked over to them.* "Posters for what?"
*He then smirked a little at her remark about Kayla dragging him off somewhere.*
"I doubt that should happen."

Samantha headed towards the first floor corridor, making a turn to get there.
Hogwarts could confuse a new student so well.
Where was DADA...well she never was going to find it in this huge school was she.
So Sam stood patiently and waited for an older student or perhaps prefect to pass so she could ask them.

Cayden came into the great hall as he gave Mari a piggy back ride." Dont loose my book." he warned her as he chuckled a little bit. he moved to stop as he looked around the first floor."Where are we going again? I got distracted." he chuckled a little bit as he tilted his head to the side so he could see her just a little when she talked." was it the library?" he asked as he chuckled to himself. it had been awhile since he had acted like a kid. he had always had his little sister to watch over.

Mari laughed, her arms moving to hold on to Cayden a bit more as he spoke to her and then look at her. " I can't remember now myself," She giggled and then figured that she should start walking, no matter how fun this was. " Maybe if I'm on my feet again, I'll remember. As of right now I'm your captive, my valiant steed," She teased, laughing at him a little more.

he raised his eye brow at her even though she couldnt tell that he had done so."First off...Im not a valiant steed. Remember that bit where i said no mushing or yelling at me to go faster was out of the deal. Valiant steed is among them, but i do enjoy capturing people. Such french girls are always the best." he chuckled as he looked around again as he added," i guess for you i'll pretend i didnt hear it." so where they should go...go go go go where?"I know where. Hold on tight." he snickered as he then headed up towards the second floor.

Robert walked down the corridor with yet another of the muggle plant books in his hand. Definitely more work then I thought. He sighed and turned to head up the stairs almost running into some kids that were standing in the way and messing about, "Excuse me...," he said as he looked up from the book to come face to face with Mariska on the back of....Cayden? He immediately regretted not going up the secret way instead of the stairs as he looked at them, his jaw clenched and his blood pressure definitely rising. Where was Elizabeth when you needed her...or Lyra for that matter. And what were they talking about? Oh this was definitely not good.

Mari giggled again." I never told you to mush. Besides that, I called you valiant. That should make up for my grievous offenses." She said teasingly. " Thank you, Cayden," She said as he told her he'd pretend he didn't hear her comment. " Lead the way," She said, laughing at him again. Then she saw Robert, after they almost bumped into him.
Mariska didn't quite know what to do, but she figured that she should get down. She lightly tapped Cayden to let him know and she stood next to him, looking up at Robert. " I'm sorry we ran into you," She said, looking at him calmly and wondering why he looked so angry. He was the one who broke up with her anyway, she thought with a sigh.

Lyra walked through the hallway with bouncy curls in her hair. She felt the urge to go...curly for a day. But forget the curls. Her eyes shifted in the direction of a rather ravishing Ravenclaw that was reading a book and...watching two people play? She shrugged as she walked over to do her favorite thing, linking her arm with his.

"Hello gorgeous," she said as she leaned her head against his arm and looked up to him with her big green eyes and smile.

he chuckled as she figured the valiant should of made up for anything." I prefer a fancy word for amazing and charming looking." That was the combo he liked best at least."Your welcome. Anything for the princess." He teased her as she was going to call him a source of travel. he chuckled again as she told him to lead the way."How else are you going to get there?" he asked with a grin as he felt something run into him. He smiled as he was about to apologize when he saw who it was. This guy was always a fun kill. he felt her tap as he let her down without any protest. He didnt want to make it worse for her." I dont see why your apologizing. its a free place, besides he ran into us." he wasnt saying it rudely, but just pointing it out.

he gave robert a small smile as he looked over at Mari."Come on.I'll race you to the second floor? You'll loose of course, but i'll give you a head start." he offered as he hoped to lighten her mood.

Cayden chuckled at lyra's comment as he gave her a much more willing smile." Hey Lyra. Seen peeves yet?" he asked as he figured it would of been on the top of her list.

Robert watched with narrowed eyes at Cayden as Mariska tapped him on the shoulder and slid down off his back. Every nerve was on end at just that fact. She was having fun with Cayden and not him.... "No, I should have been paying attention," he gritted out as he held up his book and slid his glance over to Cayden. He was going to walk past them when he felt his arm being linked yet again by Lyra.

Looking down at Lyra and their arms he shrugged and smirked, "Umm...hey yourself. Those posters still standing or have you come to drag me off again to put them back up?" he asked with a smirk as he silently thanked her for showing up at that moment.

Robert turned and glared at Cayden, "Because she has more manners then you apparently and I've already said it was my fault..." Stupid git. What does she see in him...? He looked at Mariska and then down at Lyra, "Oh...Mariska..." he said trying to get her attention. Why he wasn't sure she was obviously having more then enough fun with Cayden but then again he had told Lyra he'd ask... "Lyra wants to know if you'd like to work on your History homework with us since we basically already stared in class?"

Mari instantly recognized Lyra from their class together, but what she wasn't recognizing was the girl putting her arm around Roberts. What's this? She thought, trying to keep her face from showing the flash of intense jealousy she felt at the moment. She arched a brow as Lyra lay her head on Roberts shoulder. He moved pretty fast for being so..so upset with her just a few days ago.
Mari looked over at Cayden, not actually hearing his words until he spoke about racing her to the second floor. " Maybe, you know I can be fast when I want to be." She said, smiling at him even though she was still irked with Robert. She moved closer to Cayden then, her hand brushing against his as she heard Robert speak again.
Mari turned from Cayden as Robert spoke and she shook her head. " We all should have paid more attention let's leave it at that." She said, looking to Cayden again for a moment. " Oh, well, sure we can do that. I'll meet you there a bit later, i've got to go get my notes from the class if we're going to do that." She said, smiling at him even though in truth she wanted to smack him upside the head for making this more awkward than it had to be. " I'll meet you two in the library," She said, smiling as if she were totally fine with Lyra being so...close to him even though she most definitely wasn't.

Lyra knew that name, the name that Robert spoke of. Mariska. It was the name that sent an instant look to his face when the word formed on his lips. It was her. It had to be. She was...OH NO! She quickly straightened up and placed her hands behind her back and her head was upright.

OH MY GAWDDDD! They were all going to....-GASP-....study in the library? Was she crazy for asking this? "St-study, s-sure," she said as she swallowed with a charming grin on her face. Her eyes slowly made their way towards Robert as if she were asking for help.

"Help," she said in a small yet tiny voice, still smiling, still innocent.

He managed to give him a smile as he remembered that he spoke first before he did. Guess his ability to tone thing out were far greater then he had thought."Possibly." he said when he told him that Mari had more manners then he did.

he grinned as she was sure she could beat him."Thats what they all say." he said as he gave her a shifty look. he watched the interaction between the two as he let out a small sigh. all this drama."Be sure to watch where im going when i'm traveling in foot." he smiled at everyone as he figured best to keep it at peace right now. When he felt her hand against his he figured he might as well help her out a little. he moved to put his arm around her. Of course he just needed to rest his arm.

He watched lyra as he broke into chuckle as he tried to cover it up with coughing." Sorry." he said apoligized to everyone." i think it was the juice i just had a bit ago." he smiled a little as he moved to have a straight face. Poor lyra. "Well if you guys dont mind, i'll come join you guys. Four heads are better then three. Besides its bad luck if you have odd numbers. Ask the divination teacher." He nodded a little as he figured lyra could use some help with the two. Let alone he couldnt let mari go in there alone."Im pretty good with History. If you, lyra and mari dont mind." he smiled at everyone as it sounded fun to him.

Robert looked at Mariska and sighed as he shook his head. Cayden of all people...the reason they had gotten in that fight. He looked down at the ground with a frown, ignoring the conversation taking place between the two. It did kind of solidify the end of their relationship didn't it? The fact that she was with him and obviously didn't care what Robert had said.... He swallowed and looked at Lyra. Oh, I'm so confused. He looked back at Mariska as she agreed to do the homework with them and almost kicked himself. Why had he asked? Now things were going to be awkward. Cayden was almost sure to tag along and then there was Lyra...and he still didn't have a clue what that was about yet. "Ummm...yea..." Oh dear lord!

Robert's eyes were drawn to Lyra as he heard her slight stutter and eyes look up at him. Hearing her small 'help' he shook his head and bent down to whisper in her ear, "This was your idea. Not mine. Remember." Except he could have ignored her and went off to do the homework with Lyra alone and now he was having to play, 'Name that feeling' with two different people, one of whom he wasn't even sure what was about. The other...he sighed and ran his hand through his hair in his habitual nervous reaction. Deep breaths Rob.

"No probably, definitely. She has more manners in her pinky then you have in your whole body." Oh how he hated Cayden. His whole, I'm better and know it attitude drove him up the wall. He didn't deserve Mariska and he would probably use her up just like that git before had done and toss her away when the next best thing came along. Hearing him manage to volunteer himself into the group he rolled his eyes. Oh, how did I see that coming. "Well I for one mind."

Mariska was sort of torn. On the one hand she felt slightly guilty; What if Robert was so angry because he still felt strongly for her? Of course that could just be because he didn't like Cayden. She sbit her lip slightly as Cayden put his arm around her shoulders and she had to admit she didn't mind at all. Lyra was still haniging onto Robert anyhow. " You know, I think Cayden's right. We could do fairly well with Cayden with us all," she said, making it nothing like the double date it was beginning to sound like.
Mari watched with surprise and some amusement as Lyra suddenly detached herself from Robert's arm. She wondered why the girl had suddenly changed her tune, but she forgot it for the moment when Lyra agreed to study with them.
Mariska looked up at Robert rather sharply as he muttered an agreement, and for just a moment she remembered all the things about him she liked. That nervous gesture of his was one of them, but then he was being almost intolerably rude to Cayden again and she sighed. " Look, it was an accident on everyone's part, and if we're going to do any studying, which all of us agreed to except you, Robert," She said, giving him a little look," I need to get my notes. Besides, if we work together it will all be so much easier." She said, as if that settled it. " We'll be in the library shortly...and we'll see you both then." She said, smiling a little tightly as she ended the awkward conversation at the bottom of the stairs.

Lyra began biting her lower lip. This was awkward...slightly. If there was one thing, she didn't want to make this any worse for Robert than it already was but he didn't seem angry when she was hanging on him.

"Sooooo," she said as she clapped her hands in front of her and began to swing them. "I guess we will meet you two in the library?" She turned back to Robert and smiled. "You need to gather your notes? I have mine with me." She moved in slightly closer, which was her way to let him know that everything was okay. "I can go with you?" When she asked her green eyes looked up to him and she smiled.

Cayden looked over at him as he bit his lip. Why was he volunteering to be stuck in a room with this? it was only going to get worse. Right."Thanks for your vote." he said to robert as he snickered a little. One day he was going to get it. He just hoped he would stop being a jerk so he wouldnt have to be the one to punch him in the face.

"I'll do my best to answer them all for you guys." he smiled at them as he moved his arm from her as he let it rest near his side."it's alright. Hey he has two intelligent ladies to himself. Guess he doesnt want to share." he listened to her as said she had to get her notes." I'll walk you there. Someone has to make sure you dont get attacked by water or chocolate on the way." he teased her as he smiled at the two."Ready?" he asked her as he turned his attention towards the other two." See you guys soon?" he looked back at mari as he put his arm out as he grinned at her.

Robert groaned inwardly as Mariska basically confirmed Cayden's joining of their little group and stopped himself from sighing. This was just going to be great...bloody great.

As he caught Mariska's look up at him he met her eyes curiously, holding her gaze for a moment before looking away. "Yea...well I'm entitled to my opinion," he muttered quietly to himself as she continued to back away to the stairs. This...isn't going how I wanted it to. Of course how that was exactly even he wasn't sure. They knew where they stood with each other...well he thought anyway. He told Mariska how he felt and she obviously didn't care. So why was it bothering him so much? He had been the one who told her to come to him when she was ready. Would she be ready? He was afraid of that answer and busied himself with putting his book back in his pack.

As Lyra spoke he looked at her and shrugged, "I've got them here with me. I don't usually leave them up in the common room in case I need them and I was planning on working on that homework anyway." He nodded toward Mariska and as usual completely ignoring Cayden as he turned around and headed back down the corridor glancing at Lyra as he whispered, "Come on...I need to get some air." That constant thought that maybe this was how it was going to be and he'd lost was going through his mind and didn't sit well. Maybe it's for the best...

Lyra tilted her head as she watched Cayden, the one who didn't know anyone from France and just moved here. There was something about him, something that just didn't settle right with her. It was nothing against him, poor bloke just didn't understand but, there was a part of him that reminded her of someone else, someone she...hadn't thought about in quite some time.

She smiled as her head turned away, she couldn't watch anymore and was glad to welcome the fresh air from Robert. "Yes, please," she almost begged as she half ran out towards the direction of where to escape to outside. "You sure you...don't want to be alone?" She didn't want to overstay her welcome as she respected his space.

As he walked down the corridor he looked at Lyra and shook his head, "No, I don't want to be alone." He sighed and ran his hand through his hair, "Brilliant idea that by the way. Come on...let's go for a walk. We'll meet them up there in a bit." He looked down at her curiously as she was almost out striding him and he slowed down as he reached the stairs on the other side of the corridor, "Are you alright?" he asked as he held open the door for her.

Lillianna walked quietly through the corridor looking over her notes when suddenly she walked into couple heading in the other direction. "Oh," she said as she collided with the boy, "Pardon et moi. I waz not lookeeng where I was goeeng." she added with a slight blush.

Samantha was still waiting for a decent looking student to pass so they could direct her to DADA, but it was almost about to start and it was likely she was going to find one.
Gawd! Wasn't there enough kids in this school to maybe offer a poor lost first year a hand! Obviously not. Samantha sighed, she would have to ask herself.
She waited for a familiar face to walk past. A sweet looking blonde haired girl trotted past, who Sam knew her name to be Lyra as her brother would always be talking about how pretty she was and jumped up infront of her, "Hi, Lyra? Could you please tell me where the DADA room is. Thanks."

Lyra smiled as he opened the door and waited until he was with her to begin speaking. "I didn't know that's who you were speaking of before," she said with a look of pity. "I'm sorry." She truly didn't mean to make matter worse by inviting trouble. This was probably the one time she didn't want it to follow her.

She watched as a Slytherin girl moved past them, obviously French. No matter where she went someone or something reminded her of the place she came from. "Me? I'm...okay. I'm more worried about you right now," she said as she waited for him to walk with her.
Lyra stopped as someone jumped out in front of her, almost scaring her. "Oh! DADA room," she asked as she tried her best to remember where things were. Oy! They were on the first floor. "Yes! You are headed in the right direction...right down that way." She pointed to a classroom off to the side and smiled. How did this girl know her name?
