Jack nodded "The floor" he confirmed "I am not trying to lose points" Jack told her "It was an accident"

Jack watched Ross walk away "Don't be angry" he told him, a sudden surge of anger flowing through him "It was my fault"

Jack turned to Raiden "I'm sorry, it wasn't you, it was the timing, and the way you stood there, unable to be mean to anyone" Jack ripped Raiden's hand from his eyes "Look at me. It was my fault. Not yours" Jack told him

The moment both spells were off, Cale started yelling. "My gnomtruckle! They were going to kill it and you all just stood there and did nothing! Someone had to do something!" He pushed her hand away. She hadn't helped. She'd merely made the situation worse.

"And then you left!" He had been lying face down on the cold cobblestones for an hour, at least. He'd lost track of time after everyone had left him. He stood up and dusted himself off. "Now I haven't a clue where the gnomtruckle is! He could be up in the library ripping pages out of books. "

He paused. "And where is that coward Tobi?!"

On his way to visit the groundskeeper, Professor Kapoor spotted some students in the corridor, one of which appeared to be in distress.

"Good afternoon, students!" He said waving towards them.

Jack looked up as a teacher went by, a saviour "Professor!" he called out "Which house were you in?" Jack asked cautiously before parting with any more information.

"Hi professor," He gave him an absent minded wave before turning back to Valey intent on continuing to chew her out. Then he paused.

"Professor!" He spun around. "Did you see a gnomtruckle running around?"

Gnomtruckle? "Gnomtruckle? Are you certain you don't mean bowtruckle?" He asked to be sure. Unless Professor Morgan didn't catch a misprint in a text book.

"Ravenclaw. Why?" He asked a bit confused.

Jack ran to the professor's side "Can I come around the school with you please?" Jack asked with a frightened glance at Kayla and everyone in the corridor

"No, gnomtruckle. It's about ya high," he made a space with his hands which was about 1 1/2 foot wide. "It's dark brown with moldy green splots on it. Makes planty sounds as it moves and talks..." He gave Valey a dirty look. "Someone interrupted me as I was recapturing it!"

Another though occurred to him. "Also, have you seen Professor Nut-Jo-erm...Kamasmosizi," Cale never could say that man's name correctly. "He was parading Professor Vindictus around like a giant balloon earlier."

The professor glanced down at the freightened look on the boys face. Was he being bullied? "Well, I suppose you could if you'd like to. I was just on my way to visit Professor Dumont."

Kapoor let his mind wander a bit into some loony territory where colourful baubbles were floating through the air and Kazimeriz was blowing a whistle bedecked in uniform leading a sparkly, sparkly Maximus Vindictus.
"Parading you say?" He gave his chin a semi-absent minded scratch. "Unfortunately, I have not seen them." Oh, if only he had a photographic camera on hand.

"In the meantime, you say you've lost your ...gnomtruckle? Have you considered setting a gnomtruckle trap?" Was there such a thing?

Jack almost jumped for joy "Woohoooo" he smiled "Dumont rawks" he smiled while trying to cover up his fear, Dumont seemed like the only person in Hogwarts who wouldn't judge him... yet.

"Excellent. But, first we're going to pay Mr. Masterson a visit." Dumont was certainly very popular with the children it seemed, though it was of no surprise to Kapoor.

"Ok then" Jack smiled, happy he was with a professor, maybe he would be safe now.

"Oh well I am so sorry that I was trying to save your hide!" Valentine poked Cale's chest hard with her index finger multiple times, that it could almost leave a bruise. "And that coward, who was trying to be your friend, is currently attempting to get help for our situation and-"

It seemed as though the two Ravenclaws argueing in the corridor had gained some attention of a near by professor. She turned her head quickly to look at the professor, who looked particularly cheerful. Without even really realizing she shot a sinister glare at him, the same stern look that she was giving Cale a mere moment before.

And then Cale started to go off about his gnomtruckle thing once again. "CALE! Enough with the bloody creature! You are the only one who cares about the stupid thing right now! You don't think there are bigger matters at hand? Oh no the unconscious floating body was nothing to be worried about right?"

Kayla listened as Jack gave his explanation of what had happened and her eyes narrowed slightly. Professor Lupa, was not the only one who had been acting weird, hmm they just may get those points back yet.

She gave Jack a sharp look, "Oh yes I can just see Raiden, walking up to you and asking for you to hex him" Kayla said wryly. "

"Honestly how many more can we possibly lose, this has to be a record in the whole of Hogwarts history" Kayla turned to look at Jack before turning back to Vanessa, "And don't feel sorry for him, maybe now he will learn his lesson."

Kayla looked at Raiden and she gave him a sympathetic look, "Don't you dare say that it was nothing Raiden, he should know the rules about hexing other students." She took in Raiden's confused look and she moved over and put her arm around him. "Don't you worry about it Raiden, we will sort Jack out and Hufflepuff's lost points, none of this is your fault at all. How about you and me go for a walk later and you can tell me what you have been up to."

She turned when she heard the sound of Professor Kapoor's voice and she gave him a smile. "Good afternoon Professor Kapoor. Hoping you are having a good day."

Kayla rolled her eyes at Jack, she hadn't even done anything to him and he still carried on as though she was some big bad Huffie that was going to hex the living daylights out of him...well actually she was and she probably would one of these days but that was not the point at the moment. "You can run but you can't hide" she muttered under her breath.

Jack sort of hid behind the professor "I don't have to hide if I'm always running" Jack reasoned "Professor, she wants to hurt me, in one way or another" Jack told him as he shuddered at the thought of homework.

Via was walking her way to the great hall. She haven't eaten since last night and so she decided to check for food. Her hair in her usual style, she happily hummed a song as she continued.

"A gnomtruckle trap?" Cale the professor a 'are you kiddin' me?' look. "I don't think there is something like that and I'm not sure what using magic on the thing'll do to it. See," he paused wanting to brag feeling like he needed to explain. "I just discovered it a few days ago. It's a hole new creature!"
"Hey!" he said pushing her back. The fact that he shouldn't be pushing a girl didn't occur to him. Valey was, for all manner of speaking, one of the 'guys' to Cale. "I mentioned that! Weren't you listening?" He resisted the urge to smack her upside the head. "Professor Kapoor doesn't seem to be that worried about it. So I wouldn't worry either!" Cale's lack of concern for Professor Vindictus stemmed partly from the fact that Cale was still upset with the professor for not doing anything to Peeves, or showing any concern or remorse to Cale, after the poltergeist killed/destroyed all the plants he had potted and grown for the professor over the summer.

"And we don't know what that 'stupid thing'," he mimicked her voice for a moment. "Will do if left running about the castle! It could be up in the library helping Peeves rip apart books for all we know! Or on the 6th floor shredding tapestries! And then what? Who's going to be blamed? Most likely me! Even though I wasn't the one who let it get away."

Kayla rolled her eyes at Jack and made an exasperated noise in the back of her throat. If I wanted to hurt you I would have done it already she thought. Clearing her throat, she gave the Professor and Jack a small smile. "Don't be so silly Jack, I don't want to hurt you. What ever gave you that impression?"

She turned slightly at the sound of raised voices from two Ravenclaws and she raised an eyebrow. Honestly some of these students were freakin mental. Kayla watched them for a moment and was tempted to put her two sickles worth in and then decided it really wasn't worth it.

"Quite! Thank you, Kayla." He said, practically beaming back, his natural optimism apparently soaring.

Kapoor looked to and fro between Jack and Kayla and let out a small chuckle at the silliness of the thought. Prefect Winters trying to harm a student, indeed! "Mr. Mosier, she is your prefect. Why on earth would she want to harm you? Sounds to me as though she simply would like you to replace a bit of the points you lost. Hardly sounds like the killing curse to me." He said, trying to calm the freightened boy.


Hearing the male prefect go on, a more solid picture of what this was all about began to take form. Kapoor could not resist the excitment of discovery of a new creature. "A whole new creature??! How exciting! Have you notified Professor Morgan? In fact, perhaps she might be able to give you an inkling as to how it might be once again captured." He frowned slightly at the poking gesture towards the girl. "And, watch where upon you place your hands. A gentleman's conduct is of amplified importance in a prefect." He added.

"That's good to hear Professor" Kayla replied. Oh she liked that Professor Kapoor, he was always so jolly it was rather infectious. She looked between Jack and the Professor and she rocked back and forth on her heels. "That's it exactly." Kayla looked over to Jack and she really wanted to poke her tongue out him but she refrained from doing so, it would make her appear childish.

"You know what Cale!" She said pushing him out of the way, ignoring that a teacher was even really there. Valentine felt as though she shouldn't have even come back to lift the jinxes off the boy. Perhaps someone else could have shown him pity. Any other day than this she would have helped him with his gnometruckle. But today, when she needed help? No, she just couldn't stand it.

"Come talk to me when you've gained some sanity." She sighed, walking down the hall again to go find Tobias.

Jack peered around the professor "Because you are standing there, just towering over me, scaring me, you always do it, remember the second floor?" he asked her his voice trembling slightly

"You don't know her, do you?" he asked incredulously "She is pure evil" Jack told him

Jack eyed Kayla "Yea... but when these people leave, will I be safe then?" he asked her "And... I'm not going back to that common room, Denton will be there, and I may get... harassed" Jack explained.

Kayla gave Jack a confused look, "What happened on the second floor, I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about Jack Mosier" she said innocently.

She turned to Professor Kapoor and gave him a charming smile, one thaat would melt the hearts of many. "Really Professor, I have no idea what Jack, here is talking about. He is a little unbalanced you see, he's had a lot of family problems and he is rather accident prone I think he may have fallen over once too often."

Kayla turned back to Jack and gave him a wink, one that the Professor would not see. "Don't see why you wouldn't" she replied, thinking that Denton was the least of his problems and she cracked her knuckles unconsciously.

Jack let out a low growl as she acted like she wasn't there "You were there, you grabbed me by my robes and picked me up off the floor!" He exclaimed "Oh, don't you blame this on my past, I'm not unbalanced, I just see the truth" Jack defended himself "I am accident prone, yes, but I have NOT fallen over too many times" Jack said exasperatedly "I do" he replied bitterly "Look!" he pointed at her as she cracked her knuckles at him.

Aggie was on her way from the Great Hall to the owlry to collect Jeeves. She had her Birdie Ball in her pocket and was planning on taking the Scops Owl out for some exercise; he’d been getting fat and lazy lately, not to mention she hadn’t seen him in a few weeks.

She had her hands tucked into her jumper pockets as she walked, looking down at the cobblestones bellow her feet when she felt someone rush past her. She paused and looked up. Valentine, Tobi’s only female Ravenclaw friend (to Aggie’s knowledge anyway) was rushing down the hallway.

“Valentine?” she called wondering if the girl would stop.
