Lasca finally found the appropriate door. She gathered her last remaining reserves of strengh and knocked twice on the door. She hoped that the DADA professor was here. She didn't think she could do this again. She was still upset, but it had taken all her courage to walk here alone.

Her hair was still streaked through with silver and her eyes were still glossed over silver as well. Standing at the door she waited politely for the inevitable confrontation. Whatever happened she would meet it with dignity and respect.

Amanda headed into the quiet first floor corridor with her guitar case in hand, she wanted to play a song to relax herself. She sat down and set her guitar case down, opening it and taking her guitar and pick out. She rested the guitar against her chest and began to play.

Walking down the corridor for the first time since last term, Whitney couldn't believe how she had stayed away. She slowly strolled,in absolutely no rush when she heard someone playing a guitar. Seeing as Lima and Amanda were the only two people she knew who could play,and she still hadn't seen Lima,Whitney automatically assumed it was Amanda. "That sounds great."

"Ah thanks Whit. I just thought that I'd get a little guitar in before I get busy." Amanda said and smiled. She loved letting people hear her play guitar, she just seemed to be able to make people happy when she played for them.

Whitney nodded a welcome and sat down on the floor next to her friend. It was horrible,but she wanted to ask her if she'd spoken to him already. She was sure Amanda hadn't but it didn't change the fact that she wanted to know. As long as she waited for her to talk to him first,she wouldn't have as much trouble telling him her side. Deciding against it she simply asked, "Have you roamed around the school yet? I've missed it too much."

"I've only been to the common room, and the dormitory." Amanda said, setting down her guitar for the moment. She needed to find Zeke soon to talk to him about what happened on the train before Whitney had blurted out what not to tell him.

She wasn't sure just how,but Whitney had completely forgotten to go to the common room and dormitory. That would definitely be where she would head next,avoiding contact with...anyone. "I've been meaning to head outside,but I decided to walk around her first." Even though she was dying to get outside for a bit,she was very tired and needed some sleep,but that would happen once she was done speaking with Amanda. "You don't feel it do you?" she asked her,knowing she made absolutely no sense. Ever since that moment in the Great Hall,she'd been very uncomfortable.

"What exactly do you mean?" Amanda asked curiously, sensing the whole awkwardness between them, after that argument, everything had changed between them, she hoped that things could return to normal. "Listen, I'm going to talk to Zeke soon, I'll tell him what's going on before you tell your side of the story" She said, putting her guitar back in her case.

So many ways to answer that question but she gave a one worded answer. "Tension." Whitney couldn't stand how everything was. 'All over a guy!' True,it was Zeke but- Suddenly she heard Amanda interrupting her thoughts. "What exactly do you think I'm going to tell him?" she asked a little insulted. It was like Amanda couldn't trust her long enough to let her speak to Zeke on her own. "I told you I wouldn't say anything you didn't want me to say,and I wont." As for the other things she had to tell him and had already started telling him,she would just have to do that.

"All I think you're going to tell him is what you were talking to him on the train about. You know what, this is stupid, we're letting a guy come between our friendship. I rather lose a guy instead of a friend, so can you forgive me for being an idiot?" Amanda said, looking at Whitney, giving her an apologetic look.

"But technically that deals with me more than you." This was completely true. If Whitney hadn't ever started talking about how big of a girl magnet Zeke was to Amanda,they'd be fine. Just as she was about to speak again, Amanda beat her and she was apologizing. That only made her feel worse about everything. "No I don't,because you have no reason to be sorry. I do for getting in the way of anything." She let out a sigh before continuing. "This really is tiring,but I don't want you to lose a friend like Zeke because of something I cause. I'm sorry." Finally looking at Amanda she saw how sorry she was. Whitney shook her head at how horrible all of this was and gave her a side smile.

"Well you are forgiven, let us never speak of this again. We should make a promise to never let another guy come between us." Amanda said and smiled. "Oh so its official, I'm trying out, I signed up earlier for the positions of Chaser and Beater" She added, changing the subject completely.

"Deal." she said shaking Amanda's hand to make it official. Sadly,this didn't change the fact that she had to talk to him. "Quidditch I'm assuming?" she asked sarcastically. Letting out a sigh she thought of what to tell Amanda. Even if Whitney didn't want her to,she was going to try it. "Well....I hope you do really well and get the position you want." Though at the same time she hoped she didn't. It was just too dangerous. She should leave that to people she didn't know. 'God I sound horrible.'

"Well obviously. What else would you think that I would be talking about?" Amanda asked curiously with a smirk. "Thanks Whit, I'm hoping to make Chaser, if not I'll still be happy playing as a Beater" She said, and smiled. Well at least they made a deal now not to let a guy come between them and somewhat destroy their friendship.

Whitney simply stuck her tongue out at Amanda as she smirked and acted as though she did nothing. "Hmm,I hope you get...." but she didn't finish her sentence. She knew she was hoping for Chaser. This girl,apparently,loved danger and nonsense. "That's great,when are the try outs?"

"I'm not sure to be exact. Have to wait for the Captain to post that before we all know." Amanda said and smiled, she was definately looking forward to tryouts for this term. It was going to be all worth it when she got the chance to play Quidditch for her house.

"Oh." Perfect. She still had time to hang out with her. Whitney had a teeny tiny feeling that she was over reacting a bit,but at least she cared...right? "I feel like your mother." she blurted out. Never had she been so protective,but then again this was Amanda. "Worse,I feel like my mother."

Livvy walked in the corridor, looking around. Not much had changed. Good. She did not like change. Livvy smiled at the two girls talking, but her eyes immediately went to the guitar. "Hello," she said to the two. "That's quite a beauty there," Livvy said, referring to the guitar of course. People weren't so much of beauties to her once they surpassed the age of five.

"That's scary. My mother wasn't even this protective of me, well from what I remember." Amanda said chuckling slightly. "Well, its good that you care that much about me" She added and smiled. She knew that Whitney was afraid that she was going to get hurt, but it came with the game.

"Ah thanks, I designed this baby myself earlier in the summer, and I'm happy with how it turned out." Amanda said to the girl who commented on her guitar. She loved when people commented on her guitar, it made her feel awesome.

Whitney saw a girl walk up to the guitar case and compliment it. She'd never seen this girl before,but what else was new? "Hello." It really wasn't her conversation but it never hurt to be equally polite.
"Oh please,just shows I care." she explained to Amanda. "I could always not care,whatever appeals to you most." With a small smirk on her lips she acted as though she didn't care one bit...and failed. "Exactly!" She replied puffing out her chest a bit out of pride.

Then she heard Amanda talking about designing the guitar herself and that reminded her of something. "Amanda! I completely forgot about your gift! It's with my luggage." she exclaimed. She felt absolutely horrible,Amanda had given her that great serpent necklace and her gift was still put away somewhere. It wasn't her fault part of it was too big.

Zeke walked down the corridor and the first thing he saw was Whitney and Amanda, Amanda with her guitar, and another girl. "Err, hi, guys," he said nervously. He hadn't seen Amanda since their whole... whatever it was.

"Well, if I make the team, you're the first one I'm going to tell, since you're like my best friend." Amanda said with a smile, she stopped when she noticed Zeke walking up to them. She sighed slightly and bit her lip, it was now or never.

"Oh..um..hi..Zeke." Amanda said, with a small smile. You could sense the whole awkwardness between them but you wouldn't be able to figure out why that was. She had to talk to him now before she forgot what she wanted to say to him.

Somehow Whitney wasn't surprised to see Zeke show up. She and Amanda had made that deal,and now it was time to test it out. "Hello!" she yelled hoping her anxiety didn't show on her face. Mini people in her head were freaking out now and she didn't know what else to say.

'Best friend?' Whitney blushed a little and was speechless. All she could think of was to hug her and that's exactly what she did. "Aww thank you!" She wasn't sure if she had to tell Amanda she was her best friend,because she was and Whitney just figured it was implied. "I know." was all she said when she saw Amanda bite her lip.

Livvy grinned. "Really? Impressive. It does seem great," she said. Beautiful! She seemed to only use that word for guitars. Gorgeous was the word for animals. "What can you play?" she asked.

Livvy smiled at the girl. "Hi. I'm Livvy," she said. Well there was this famous song.... Make new friends... and keep the old.. one is silver and the other's gold.. Make new- Oh gosh...

Livvy smiled at boy that came towards them. He seemed nervous. "Hi," Livvy said to the boy politely, but sensed that she should probably be getting out of their way.
