Tobi might actually cry. ANOTHER final?

"Hi professor." he said downtrodden and ready to give up, as he took a seat.

He didn't say anything else because, well it was a final. And he couldn't work up the energy.

Deep breath, Willow. Deep breath.

With a determined expression on her face, the fifth year wandered down the Astronomy classroom, and took seat on the first row - yes, first row. She had nothing to fear, for the fifth year had studied for this final.

"Good day, Professor Forrester," greeted the girl politely.

Oh my Merlinnn!

Anna felt as if her head was spinning around and around as she entered the Astronomy classroom. She just had far too many final exams such a tiny amount of time to do them all. If she could survive the next few days, she could survive anything---a dragon, an insane mountain troll, a basilisk---anything! Anna took a seat and sat quietly while she waited for the final exam to begin.

"Good evening" he said as people began filing in. And they all had seen his recent....antics. How humiliating.

"Hey, Sir. Loving the hat." Clifford nodded at his Head of House before slipping behind a desk. Astronomy final time. EEEK!

You can do this champ William thought as he walked into the Astronomy classroom taking a seat near the back. He wasn't too sure at all about this one. He nodded at the professor since he was too nervous to talk just then.

Forrester stood then and walked in front of his desk. He took a deep breath and began:

"I'd like to start out by apologizing for my antics this past year." he told them, "I wasn't myself, the unwitting victim of a spell gone wrong, it would seem. I don't know how much learning was truly done this year, and I am sorry for that.

"Truthfully, I'm surprised as many of you have shown up. I had thought that my actions this term would have scared you all off."

Spell gone wrong, huh? Scared them off? SNORT! Clifford thought Professor Forrester had been even COOLER this year. Jumping on desks and throwing points around. Heh. He certainly wasn't about to complain. It was probably good to have the old Head of House back though. Yup.

As the classroom began to fill up, the fifth year noticed that Professor Forrester was acting like his old normal self - which was a good thing really, considering that during the previous classes he had been all . . . funny.

"Uh, that's alright, sir," murmured Willow from her seat, as Professor Forrester started to apoloigize about his past behaviour. A spell had been, apparently. "And we did learn stuff. Like the dwarf planets, and about the rocks that fell from the sky, and . . . you made us watch a video! I'd never watched a video before." And that was true. Willow'd had no idea what a video was until then. "So I guess we did learn stuff, sir." She shrugged.

Tobi raised his eyebrows. "Sir, while the apology is a nice gesture, I don't think you can really scare anyone off by acting a little strange. Acting strange and being the victim of a spell gone wrong is kind of the Norm at Hogwarts," he said sincerely in an effort to placate his Professor. Sure, he was terrible at this class, but that wasn't Professor Forrester's fault, the man was good people.

Awww, poor Professor Forrester. He was really taking the hard, wasn't he? Anna wanted to speak up and assure him that the students highly respected him and weren't at all affected by his recent behavior, but she remained quiet. She wasn't sure if they were meant to reply to his speech, or if he more or less just wanted them to listen. Nodding and smiling, Anna sat still and quiet, glad she'd shown up for the final. After all, Astronomy was one of her favorite subjects.

Cela raised her hand, "We are sorry we didn't figure it out sooner, sir." At least she was.

Rian frowned slightly, listening to the professor. She hadn't really minded...the classes had been fun. But she didn't speak up, because she didn't know if they students were suppose to. She just nodded slowly, waiting to see what else was going to happen.

"It wasn't your fault. Even in your rejuvenated condition, I did learn a lot this term. Even so, I'm happy to have you and the other professors back to normal."

Qaz felt it wise to keep her mouth shut.

Cedric was wandering what Professor Forrester did but he promise that he should zipper his mouth during exams

Forrester nodded, "Thank you. I'm glad you all understand. Celandine, there's no reason for you to think you students are to save and protect us," he smiled ruefully, "that's supposed to be our responsibility to you."

"I'm happy to hear we've all felt we learned something this year." Forrester had learned that he should let his passion for the subject show a bit more, "So, we're going to do something a little different for finals. I want you all to write an essay. It doesn't have to be a long essay. Just write about what you learned, tell me what you remember. Tell me what you think the most important thing was, whatever. Just make sure it's relevant to this class."

ooc: essays need to be PMd to me no later than Sunday (April 12th), 5:30pm CST (GMT-6) include name, user ID and house. Follow the class rules for homework.

"It would have been wicked cool if we had slid down the staircase properly though, Professor!" Cela told him with a little grin. She had had far too much candy that day. Oooooh! An essay!

"I love essays!"

Qaz nodded her head in understanding and reached for her quill. This was one of her favorite classes, so she wanted to do exceptionally well in the final.

She thought for a few minutes, then began to write.

Chris Potter began to write his essay.

Ohhhh, so that's what it was - some spell gone wrong. And that's probably why half of the other teachers had been acting so strange this term. Nodding, Mariel give Forrester an encouraging smile as the rest of the class expressed their understanding. A backfiring spell meant that he nor the rest of the altered staff could be responsible for their behavior. At least she knew the reason for it now.

So now for the final. An essay she could do. The second year loved Astronomy, so this couldn't be too difficult. The Ravenclaw girl thoughtfully chewed on the end of her quill, trying to decide what to write.

She wanted to run up and give him a big hug. She really did like Professor Forrester and not just because he was her head of house. As if that weren't the best reason to like him.

She pulled out some parchment and a quill and started writing her essay. This had t be the easiest final she had. And that was saying something.

Cedric scribbled down and began writing his essay..he really like doing essays...
