*Gabben sighed and leaned on the wall next to her.* "I'm not really sure if it's my story to tell... I can tell you my part in it though."

"That's fine Gabben, that's all I can ask I suppose" Kayla replied. "Once you have done that, do you think Kyle will be up for telling me his side of the story?" She wasn't trying to be nosy, she just wanted to help cause that's the kind of person that she was. Thousands of people wouldn't believe that though.

*He shrugged.* "Thats up to Kyle, you would have to ask him. Anyway this is all I saw."
*He sat down on the floor and patted the spot next to him for her to sit.*
"It was over our summer holiday when it happened. Kyle spends most of the summers with my family. His family... well... again not my story to tell."
*He laughed a little then went on.*
"It was one of the few times Kyle would see his family over the holiday. I always went with him. His parents were having what I guess you could call a dinner party... anyway Kyle and I got into a fight, we never fight, not full out fights but this time we did. I ended up with a black eye and he got a fat lip when it was over. It was stupid I don't even remember what it was about."
*He rubbed the back of his neck, took a sigh and went on again.*
"Someone heard us fight, his uncle I think, and pulled us apart. I started to walk home, my house is maybe three miles from his. It was late in the night when I started walking. Half way home I heard yells and roars. I ran back to-"
*He stopped for a second, he didn't think it would be hard for him to tell this story.*
"-I found Kyle on the ground with some... thing standing over him. Like a stupid child I yelled at the thing like it was a dog saying 'Go Home!'. It ran off when it saw me. Kyle was really bad, passed out and bleeding. I picked him up and ran to my house but it had already been done."

Kayla sat down beside Gabben, when he gestured for her to and she sat quietly and listened as he retold his story. "Wow" she breathed. "So that's how he became..."she looked down the hall and then back to Gabben..."what he became." Kayla didn't want to speak out loud, you never knew who was listening. "I feel so sorry for him, it must be a real pain in the neck to have to control it all the time."

Kayla sat quietly for a moment and then looked at Gabben, "Okay I don't think I really need to speak to Kyle, I don't want to have to put him through anymore than he already has. I have all I need to know about the situation. But I do have a question for you though, how are you worse then a vampire? What did you mean by your comment before?"

Nick breezed down the corridor of the fifth floor, where he saw a couple Hufflepuff students speaking to one another. "Hey!", he called out, dodging the two students as he flew close by them. "Excuse me, didn't mean to frighten you!"

Kayla looked up at the ghost and smiled. "You didn't frighten us. How are you Sir Nicholas? Is there something I can help you with?" She stood back up, it was rude to converse while speaking from the floor.

*He smiled and laughed a little about to say something, but right then a cold shock went over him. He looked up to see Nearly Headless Nick. He stood up aswell and gave a small bow.*
"Yes is there anything I can help you with sir?"

Papers still in hand, Jillian continued to post up her posters.

"I guess they went all out," he said, shaking his head at yet another poster. Where was the Ravenclaw pride?!?! he'd have to speak to Vindictus about that.

"Sounds very confusing to me. Ghosts!" he exclaimed and then laughed. "The only one I ever knew to be somewhat normal and un-cryptic was Professor Lainey," he sighed. A shame she was already taken. "These stairs seem to go on forever!"

Staring around him on this floor too, Jake's head reeled at all the red he was seeing. Sure it was a good colour, but honestly... "What's the betting they're on the next floor, too?" he asked, half jokingly.

Leading on slightly towards the sixth floor, Jake tilted his head as he walked on. "Myrtle has been pretty cool around me," he mused. "No pun intended... She was helpful..."

Where had he heard the name Lainey before? Hmmm, he knew it from somewhere... maybe someone mentioned the name in passing?

"Not too many more, though," Jake pointed out. "I hope," he added quietly. "Just up to the next floor... and it's along there... "

Jake knew the way to it well, once pogrebin! he was up there at least. Blushblush. Turning, he approached the sixth floor corridor.
