Claire walked down the corridor. She was looking around seeing as how she still wasn't too familier with the school. She still didn't know too many people but hopefully that would change. As she was walking she tripped over herself and fell to the ground her books scattering around her. Now this was just great, not only was she a small little first year, a really small one at that, but now she was a clutz too.

Livvy turned her head to see someone talking to her. A Ravenclaw prefect. She smiled. "Hi. I'm alright. Thanks for asking," she said, sighing gently. She needed.. a knight! Well.. a pretend knight. It'll be show for Chase. He'll love it. He'll eat it up. "I'm Livvy by the way."

She felt a poke and she turned around to see CAM! Aww... Livvy bursted out laughing. "Hey Cam..." Hey... HE could do it! The-the... whole.. boyfriend thingy. He's sweet... Yes.. Chase will eat it up. He'll ROLL in it first and then eat it.

A little first year dropped her books and Livvy quickly rushed to her side and helped her pick them up. "Here you go," she said, smiling as she handed them to her.

"So long as you're sure," he said looking her over. She had a gleam in her eye that Cale wasn't familiar with. Heck, Cale wasn't familiar with girls period. They were uncharted territory. They were like the forbidden forest to him.

And she must have been since she rushed past him to help someone else with their books. Very well, he thought watching her and scratching his unbruised cheek with his hands.

Claire watched as an older Ravenclaw girl picked up her books for her. "Oh thanks" She said giving the girl a small shy smile. Now all of the older kids in the hall knew she was a clutz. Wow this was great, just great. Oh well she would get over it... It wasnt' like it was the end of the world or anything.

Livvy smiled and nodded her head. "It's okay," she said, and stood up. The girl seemed nervous. Livvy gave the girl a little encouraging smile. New schools were always stinky. Ick. Blah.

She turned to the older boy and nodded her head. "You okay?" Livvy asked, noticing that he was scratching his cheek. Itchy.. itchy..

Lyra took off running down the hallway hoping that Robert was behind her. This was crazy, this was outrageous, this was...just plain weird, but fun at the same time. Who was the one person that was close enough to talk too and would listen to her? There was Professor Vinductus but then there was Professor Shackleton and she was closer...and Hufflepuff Head of House. "I'm going to Professor Shackleton's office...like NOW!"

Maddox listened as she went into the complete opposite direction he was thinking. But he liked her plan better. He shrugged, titled his head a bit and replied, "Yeah I guess your right. Hopefully she will learn to trust us. I mean we only have good intensions, and I dont want her to feel that she has to hide from us." He sighed, and pondered what he would, and could, do if he really wanted to, but quickly shook the thought off. Bad Mads was not welcome. "Alright but, we really should do it sooner rather than later...I mean it is almost mid term now." He folded his arms across his chest.

Kayla chuckled softly, "Cela will never trust us but it is worth a shot. You never know we might out move the master manipulator at her own game." She seriously doubted it but like she said it was worth trying. "I don't want her to have to hide from us either, I miss the little squirt." Kayla took in Mads' look and she had to laugh, she knew exactly what he was thinking. "Okay I am ready whenever you are, just remember we're playing nice...at first" she threw him a small wink.

Cam looked at the fellow Ravenclaws that were all right beside him, one was a Prefect and the other was a first year fellow like him. When he saw the falling girl, he couldn't really hold that smile of his that looked like he was going to laugh hysterically any moment. Ravenclaws were funny sometimes, most of them were a klutz. Livvy was one, and obviously this girl too. He made sure to keep an eye out for more Ravenclaws and their... klutzeh problems.

"Hiii Livveeeh." He repeated and then reached out to poke her again.

Then there were suddenly a bit toooo much people. He realized everything, sometimes people made him feel nauseous. Yeah, that's what you could call it. So he reached out again to hold her arm and motioned to her to go to the other side of the corridor. Maybe they could leaave. And like do some fun stuff.

"So watcha dooooin'?"

Livvy smiled at Cam as he poked her again. He was cute when he wasn't mad. Whew. She would remember not to break any furry rings again. "Hii Caaammm," she said, and ruffled his hair affectionately.

She could tell that he seemed a bit anxious to leave the other people crowding around. Especially when he grabbed her arm and motioned for them to go to the other ened. Livvy smiled and got up, walking over there. "Oh.. nothing. I've been thinking really hard. You know that meanie-dude? Chase? Well, he's been bugging me lately."

Maddox grinned, and didnt know if that was possible, but never-the-less he replied, "We can always try. I'm always up for a challenge." He gave her a crooked grin. Mads missed Cela too, not that he hung out with her much anyways, but he still talked to her. "I miss her too. Hopefully it will work." He sighed and folded his arms across his chest. He chuckled with her next comment and replied, "You are to much like me." He grinned.

Tobi was still listening to his stomach and it was telling him that even with his poor sense of direction, the kitchens hadn't stopped being below the Fifth Floor, and the best way to get off the Fifth floor was via the corridor.

Ah ha! 4 times the charm! he thought as he veered into the corridor.

Where he happened upon Maddox and Kayla, Huffie powercouple, having some important-looking conversation.

Tobi, prince of tact and delicacy, what did he do?

"Hey guys! Whatcha talking about?" he called, waving.

"Knew I could count on you Darcy" Kayla giggled. And if her year wasn't busy enough, now she had one devious little third year Ravenclaw on her hands. "I hope so too, but we're going to have be really, reeeeeeeeeallly sneaky about this. Cela, has a clever little knack of knowing what's going on at all times." Kayla reached over and hugged Maddox tight to her, "That is why we are besties."

Kayla looked up at the sound of someone's voice and she let go of Maddox and sat up straighter. "Hey Tobi, how's it going?" He wanted to know what they were talking about, did she dare tell him? She scrutinised Tobi for a moment, he was often hanging around Celandine. "Celandine Toussaint, actually." She wondered if the seventh year had any dirt on the younger girl.

Maddox grinned widely. He liked that Kayla trusted him so well. He trusted her with his life. Kayla could kick his bum if she tried. "You can always count onmy love." He grinned and poked her nose with the index finger of his right hand. Maddox chuckled and replied, "So very true. She might be worse then Nico. That frightens me a bit." He gave her a nervous look and then laughed. He gently held her close as she hugged him. "Exactly," He muttered into her hair. And suddenly she was gone, and another familiar voice was coming from down that hall.




Maddox waved and smiled, "Hey Tobi....what she said." He smiled as Kayla answered before he could.

Tobi stopped dead in his tracks.

ROAWaaAR! his stomach expressed its disapproval and obvious opinion that Tobi should continue to the kitchens.

"Cela?" he repeated thunderstruck.

Well it's not all that surprising, is it? Everyone talks about Celandine now, poor crazy kid.

"I thought Cela was a friend of yours, why aren't you talking to her?" Tobi may have been something of a natural born gossip, but quick on the uptake, he was not. It didn't make sense to him why people who he'd seen hang around with Cela, Kayla in particular would be talking about Celandine, rather than to her. Then on the other hand, Barry hangs around Celandine all the time, but he also talks about her.

"Okay wait, better question: What about Cela in particular?" After all there were plenty of things about Celandine Toussaint that might give one pause. For one thing, her tendency to carry scorpions in her underwear. Tobi tried hard to suppress that memory, to no avail.

"I know that hun, that's why I love you so much. You are the beest friend a girl could ever ask for" Kayla squirmed a little whien he prodded her nose with his finger but giggled anyway. "You know what I think she is. And where did she learn it all from? Her brothers of course" she finished in an exasperated tone. Those Toussaint boys had a lot to answer for.

Kayla looked at Tobi for a moment before answering. "She is a friend of ours. Well actually she's like a sister to me which is why I am concerned about her" she said rather seriously. "Her brother has asked to keep an eye on her for him and of course she knows this, that is why she is staying away from Maddox and myself."

She rubbed her temple all this talk about Cela, was starting to give her a headache it seemed her whole life at the moment revolved around Nico's sister and that she spent most of her waking moments talking about her. Sometimes she just felt like letting her run wild and let her pay the consequences of her actions but not only would Nico, kill her she herself would feel horrible for doing it. "Has she asked you any personal questions...um like kissing?"

Less stepped out into the corridor... she was bored... bored, bored, bored.

She pulled her wand and cast a stinging hex toward the Hufflepuff Prefect Kayla.

Still sitting on the floor while talking to both Maddox and Tobi, Kayla spotted someone out of the corner of her eye with there wand pointed straight at her. Oh crap! Thankfully she still had her wand in her hand from her previous encounter and she shoved Maddox hard in the chest to get him out of the way at the same time she raised her wand, "Protego" she yelled focusing hard on keeping her shield right on the spot where the hex had been sent.

Tobi's stomach had the good sense not to interrupt when Kayla made it clear that she was serious. "Kissing? ME?" Tobi struggled to stay as serious as Kayla was. "Unlikely. All Cela asks me for is candy." And he rather liked it that way. Tobi was a culinary creature, he and Cela could meet each other on equal ground there. Beyond that, if Cela ever went to him for advice on relationships, or kissing, he'd probably expire from humiliation right in that very spot.

But Kayla had said something else that had made Tobi think before getting onto the subject of how ludicrous kissing advice would be. "Oh right... her brother.. Nico?" Tobi had never met him, but he certainly had a lot of friends left behind. "I don't think, all things considered, that it's Cela he has to be worried about. I'm not too sure I'm thrilled with the idea of her dating, I'm kind of fond of the girl myself - In a strictly platonic, little-sister-I-never-had way," he added quickly, not wanting to confuse matters.

"But her little... whatever... with Plymouth might not be the immediate concern."

"ARG!" Tobi cried, jumping a foot into the air from his sitting position. When he landed, he had managed to fish his wand out of his robe, but Kayla was already all over it, holding off the attack with a shield.

She listened as Tobi spoke and she made sure not to interrupt even though she really wanted to. "Okay can I make a small suggestion and ask you please do not give Cela too much candy, it tends to make her a little...overzealous, more than usual." Kayla had to wonder how many more people Cela had giving her candy. If any of them knew what happened when she got a sugar high they would not be giving it to her. The whole glisseo cushions of last year was a good indication of that.

Ah now Kayla, was very pleased indeed she had someone else besides Maddox, who thought Celandine was not ready for the whole dating thing. She almost wanted to lean over and give Tobi a hug but she somehow had the feeling he wouldn't appreciate it. "Yeah Nico" she echoed with a small sigh, he owed her big time for this because looking out for Celandine Toussaint was becoming a full time job. Tobi's last words broke Kayla, from her thoughts of Nicholai and she gave him a sharp look. "Okay you better explain that to me Tobi and do not leave anything out" she gave Maddox, a significant look. Maybe everything they had just talked about was going to get thrown out the window.

Kayla gave Tobi a quick look to make sure that he was alright and turned back to....Professor Lupa? Oh so this was the attack that she should have been prepared for. "Aren't you lucky she didn't aim for you?" she muttered to Tobi.

"He wasn't wearing a badge... and he wasn't on my list..." she smiled at Kayla, "but you were!" She giggled and walked away.

Cam just stared at her with a scared expression when that girly hand of hers went out to reach for his head. Was she going to hurt him? It was possible that she wanted to randomly slap his face or something. People did that to him and he didn't know why, especially when he goes ballistic. Livvy wasn't going to scratch him or even slap him. She... she put her hand on his head and ruffled his hair. "Eeek."

A girl, touched his hair without her wanting him to touch his hair. He did the cootie shot on her just to be safe and then went red. Was there some squashed bug on her hand and she like, put it on his hair? Cam scratched his head just to be so sure.

"Meanie dude? Bothering you?! Want me to ya know... bother him?" he whispered and then made a fist and started to punch his other palm. Tough, and his toughness seemed awesome to him.

"Lalalala." He started sing a happy song under his breath and then started humming.

Livvy raised an eyebrow when Cam looked scared. Eesh. It's not like she was gonna hurt him. He seemed to be touching is hair, self-consciously. Weird kid. What'd she think she put on him? A snail?

She began laughing and shook her head. "No.. I think that's okay. I just need to get him off my back, you know? Always talking about how I need a boyfriend.. and accusing every boy I hang out with as my boyfriend," Livvy said, annoyed and rolled her eyes. She loved Chase.. but.. not when he was like this.

She grinned. "What tune is that? Or is it just some random song you made up?" Livvy asked.

"Okay, mind you this is all the result of listening around corners, and second hand gossip," he warned, his ears turning pink. Yes Tobi was a notorious gossip. The secret was out. "Cela and Plymouth may or may not be harmless, they're kind of hard to keep up with, I mean, I can't really get into the Ravenclaw Common Room and my only sources there couldn't care less what's going on with Cela, so they don't really pass on much information. But someone else fancies Cela too, and he is... rather... aggressive." Tobi pressed his mouth into a thin line.

"Barry Weasley has been freaking out ever since Cela started dating Plymouth; he's insanely jealous. Worse yet, he's starting to move past the jealousy stage and last I heard in the Owlery when I just happened to stop on the staircase," Tobi's face reddened further, "He's planning on just throwing his lot right into the ring too. Rumours are circulating that he already has. I haven't seen Cela in a while so I don't know for sure, but that's the word around the Castle. I mean I know Cela's a tough kid and all that, but that's a lot to handle at 13." Tobi could have gone on and on about the perils of Barry Weasley, but Professor Lupa distracted him.

Kayla listened very intently to what Tobi had to say and her interest perked up even more when he said that someone else was interested in Cela and he was what? Aggressive? She almost snorted only Celandine, could get herself into this amount of trouble. "Barry Weasley? The fourth year Ravenclaw, you're kidding right?" Kayla almost burst out laughing at the absurdity of it...Barry Weasley! She could probably crush him with one hand tied behind her back. Ah but jealousy did strange things to people and maybe just maybe he could become a little dangerous. She groaned softly to herself, what was Celandine doing?

"Well this is just great isn't it and here I thought my drama filled years were behind me" she leant back onto her elbows and mulled over this piece of information for a moment before coming to a conclusion. "Do me a favour will you Tobi, if you happen to see Barry Weasley, tell him I would like a word with him, but don't tell him why?" Although if the guy was smart enough he would probably work out why she wanted to talk to him.

Kayla jumped to her feet and placed a hand on Tobi's shoulder to calm him down. "Take it easy Tobi, it's part of the DADA homework remember" Geesh and this guy was a seventh year! How did he get through Hogwarts after all this time carrying on like a girl? "I suggest you keep your wand out at all times."
