Fear: Dada Class 2

The shutters have been drawn on the windows of the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, leaving the room in partial darkness. As you enter, your footfalls click against the cold stone floor and echo against the cavernous ceiling. There is a noticeable chill to the room. The sparse lighting is dim; slivers of dreary light from the closed shutters interrupt the darkness and cast undefinable, unnerving shapes against the walls. A few flickering, melting candles hang by ornate wall sconces, their light dancing almost ritually against the wall, as if being lightly blown by an absent wind. The faint, eerie whine of a floorboard creaking peals out from somewhere near the front of the room. (is it just a floorboard? are you sure?) Grotesque photographs hang on the walls of the classroom, depicting images of malformed men and women suffering the effects of cruel, brutal curses. They writhe helplessly in pain, shrieking silently. Two rows of mahogany desks and benches line the walls, leaving a long, wide aisle empty for students and professor alike to walk through.

Several large wardrobes sit at the head of the class, the classroom’s regular dusty chalkboard moved to the side. Soft thumps and bumps echo about the room from no known source, often sounding like they are coming from above you—or right behind you. A chest sits at the top of the stairs to the professor’s office, rattling occasionally.

The professor is not yet apparent in the room. There is a note on the classroom board:

Please come in and take a seat at one of the desks... You may wish to avoid the darker corners, and instead choose to sit in the dead center of the room. After all... You never know what might be lurking in the shadows.

-- Prof. Kazimeriz

ooc: Please go ahead and RP yourself coming into the room; have fun with it, for you might've noticed it is a tad spookier in here than usual. ;) I'll start the class in a little while and it will run for 2-3 days so every time zone can play. Thanks, Xana~

druidflower 03-19-2009 03:34 AM

Tobi hustled into the classroom. No being late for him. No sir. As per the ominous warning on the board, he sat very much in the center of the room, still, towering above most things.

Yeesh, I'm not conspicuous, am I?

Grey Lady 03-19-2009 03:35 AM

After finding the library rather dull, the Grey Lady was on her way to visit dearest Valon in his office when the open classroom door beckoned her instead. Floating past the threshold and up the center aisle, she situated herself at a desk located on the left side of the room and waited.

atmor 03-19-2009 03:37 AM

Jai walked into the class bouncing along obviously expecting a semi-normal class, when lo and behold it wasn't. She stopped dead in her tracks and groaned she didn't hate the dark, but she prefered being able to see around her. Taking her wand out she lit the tip and extened her arm out shining a light on the board.

"Avoid the corners? Dead center?" Groaning again she went near the center looking around with the light of her wand.

The nice Ravenclaw ghost was back. She was oh so much nicer than his Grandmamma.

"Hi Lady Ravenclaw!" he said brightly, immediately at ease with her around. She seemed to mellow Professor Scary Man out a bit, and he liked that effect. Like, A LOT.

"What brings you to the dungeons?" he asked.

Lockhartian 03-19-2009 03:38 AM

Eek! What was thisssss? Kaika didn't want to go any further, but really, what could happen? And was this the example a Captain was going to give?

Pffft. No!

But yes, it was way toooooo spooky and those photographs in the walls, well, were not to her liking to say the least So she sat at the closest desk, not wanting to be too far away from the door. Really, brooms should be allowed in the Castle, they could be very useful for an emergency exit, right?

She was now afraid of Kazimeriz. Or at least, the DADA classroom.

SnitCHchASER 03-19-2009 03:39 AM

Emalyn peaked into the room and gasped. Was the lesson really scheduled for that day? She wasn't sure...the classroom looked empty, or what she could see of it. She entered and stode between the desks toward the blackboard, looking earnestly to her right and left as she proceeded on. The eerie sounds from the shadows and the pictures on the walls made her want to turn and run, but she was sure her schedule had written that it was today.
She read the note, peering anxiously at it in the partially dark room. She wasn't sure if she dared take a seat near the middle...was this reverse psychology? She bit her lip and listened to what she had read, and sat near the middle of the room, looking around her as she did so.

Mrs. Weasley 03-19-2009 03:41 AM

Abby walks into the classroom. Professor Kazimeriz has out done himself. He said the main topic of today's lesson would be fear, and he has made the classroom a haven for dark and creepy things. Abby notices Lady Ravenclaw hovering above the desk to the left. She decide to go and sit over there. Abby isn't afraid of a ghost or the dark. There are other things that frighten her more.

Angie 03-19-2009 03:44 AM

Seriously, what was up with Kazimeriz? Was his goal to scare them to death? Actually, nevermind about the rest! Was his goal to scare her to death?

Ugh. Willow was, after all, no Gryffindor; needless to say that as much as the girl wanted to glare -or at least to scowl- the only thing she could do was to shiver and try to distract herself thinking about. . . things and people she would normally not allow herself to ponder about.

Anything was better than having to face the terrible reality.

Taking a deep breath, and bumping with something (the place was kind of dark, and Willow was trying not to think about what had she bumped into) more than once, the girl finally claimed an empty seat in what she thought was around the middle of the classroom.

Lizasaurus 03-19-2009 03:46 AM

Walking into the classroom, Liz looks around, as her jaw drops open. Jumping at the rattling, that she hears. She looks nervously around.

Seeing Ms. Ravenclaw, she looks a little more relaxed then she was at first. For some reason, the beautiful ghost, always has that affect on Liz.

Taking a seat near the center at a desk, she places her bag on the floor next to her.

atmor 03-19-2009 03:50 AM

"This will be interesting." she moved closer to the Gryffie boy in the center. Taking a fistfull of her hair she fixed it into a ponytail and put her bag on the floor next to where she sat.

Wenzlebug 03-19-2009 03:51 AM

Cedric walks into the Defense against the dark arts classroom then as he enters the classroom he notice the writings on the board..."avoid dark corners..sit in the dead center..scary.."Cedric muttered..then he walks in the middle in the classroom and take a seat..a seat with the ravenclaw girl.."umm,Hi!are you scared?"

Grey Lady 03-19-2009 03:52 AM

She heard more students and turned to see which houses they were from. "Do I frighten you?" Helena asked no one in particular.

PhoenixRising 03-19-2009 03:54 AM

For some reason Dominic knew that this would be an eerie lesson, what with the notice in the common room mentioning 'Fear' and all. But at the same time, the fifth year was definitely not expecting much. For the life of him, he'd already survived the wrath of Krazikaz and the ridiculous sonnet assignment, for which he was gratefully almost finished with. Though he was far from prepared for what met his topaz eyes as he entered the Defense classroom.

Dimlit room. Cold floor. Echos.

It was a nightmare, except not. No, lately his nightmares involved mostly images of a beater's bat meeting his head. Or worse . . . Shuttering slightly, Dominic clung to his bag tightly as he moved forward into the room, eyes narrowed in vigilance. Drawing a deep breath, the tall Hufflepuff boy finally settled into a seat somewhere in the middle of the classroom. A seat that he hadn't noticed was already taken and he just sat on the poor girl's lap . . .

Upon hearing the sound of a female voice, Willow looked up -she had been staring at her hands- and saw the Grey Lady. Huh. Had she been there the entire time? Surely not, for she would have noticed her, Right?

Riiiiight. Willow was not particularly observant when more important matters clouded her mind--such as dying. Because the girl was sure that dying was something that could surely happen in a class like this one.

Drama Queen.

"No, ma'am." Lady? Ms. Ravenclaw? Nice. What if she didn't enjoy being called ma'am? What if she was touchy about her age and such? "Or at least you don't scare me." Now, this room on the other hand. . .

And then her breath caught, and squeezed her eyes shut.

This was exactly the kind Willow Kovac had been dreading. Well, not really, but having something ON her was not something she had been looking forward to.

So when would it happen? When would she die? Because surely, whatever it was that was on her lap was some kind of dangerous creature because it was heavy.

A tiny little scream escaped from her parted lips. "Help, help, help!"

She REALLY didn't want to die at sixteen and--

Waaaaaaaaaait.

As her hands tried unsusccesfully to force the thing to get off from her, Willow realized that whatever it was that she was touching seemed. . . human.

Her eyes flew open, and then she squinted them, trying to make out the shape and. . .

. . . Well, whatever it was had a rather good scent. And hair, too, and---"DENTON! What do you think you are DOING?" This. Was. . . There were just NO words for it.

Willow had never been more glad that the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom was so dark. Had it not been as dark as it was, everyone would have noticed the blush that was crepting on her usually pale cheeks. And that would have been embarrassing.

Waddles 03-19-2009 03:56 AM

Defense Against the Dark Arts. Juniper peeked into the classroom and, with a deep intake of breath for courage, tiptoed in, glancing around her all the while. This classroom was scary, the fourth year realized. And now she would be left to wonder if it had only recently become so scary or if she had been too focused in on the terror of the subject to notice the terror of the room.

Okay. Who would be good to sit near for safety? There was Kovac... but that girl was around far too often already. And... that was it. Juniper did not personally know anybody in the room except for Willow Kovac. But there was the Ravenclaw ghost over there, and surely she would be safe to sit next to. There was only an infinitesimal chance that the Grey Lady would eat her.

Approaching the ghost, Juniper paused a respectable distance away. "Lady Ravenclaw, I'm sorry to bother you, but would you mind if I sit next to you?" the fourth year asked politely.

Mrs. Weasley 03-19-2009 03:57 AM

"I think it's more the atmosphere than you, Lady Ravenclaw. Professor Kazimeriz plans to scare us to death with stories of his time as an auror I'm sure."

Luna Laufghudd 03-19-2009 03:59 AM

Miranda briskly walked inside the DADA classroom, but slowed down as she felt the chill and the fact that she couldn't really see well.
Uh oh. Maybe I'm in the wrong classroom...

Making her way back to the door, she accidentaly bumbed into a few people. "Uh, excuse me...Sorry!" Looking up she squinted and saw that it was Kaika! "Oh thank goodness it's you!"

Grabbing hold of Kaika's robes, she followed her to a desk and sat down besides her captain.

"Ooooh how cool!" she said in awe, "Hello miss ghostie!" Miranda wasn't sure who she was, but grinned and waved all the sane.

"What's to be afraid of?" Tobi asked, well, whoever Lady Ravenclaw was asking, "Ghosts are people too, well sorta. They were alive once, just not so much now. It's got to be more of a pain for them than it is for us. Not being able to eat, sleep, do all the cool stuff we get to do. And they're just as smart as they ever were in life. Chris Potter entered the once almost cheerful DADA room to find it dreadfully dark. He hated the dark. It wasnt that he was afraid its just it annoys him to not be able to see everything in the room. He smiled to a few of his fellow students in the room and said a gretting to the Grey Lady and then took a seat in as close to the center of the room as he could.

Kaika suppressed a scream! Who was this person right beside her?! Oh, Miranda! The little sunshine in all this darkness.

"Oh, yes, thank Merlin it was you" because, otherwise, what would she have done? Froze in place? Seriously. But she was feeling a little bit better since the girl was now by her side, at least she could protect one member of the team if something happened.

Because she could protect the rest but not herself? That's quite odd.

Oh, yes, the ghost. Kaika failed to see it. Until Miranda greeted it. Yes, the atmosphere, not the ghost, was frightening.

Jai raised a brow at Lady Ravenclaw, she'd been there long enough so the hogwarts ghosts didn't scare her but Professor Kazimeriz seemed to have a collection of ghouls locked in the room that might do the trick.

"I bet he had a boggart somewhere in here." she glared at the boggarts. She heard Lady Ravenclaws question and looked at the Gryffindor beside her "I love the baron." she said chuckling.

Lyra walked into DADA class. Immediately she wished her robes were a tad thicker as the coolness of the room raced against her skin causing her to shiver. Or maybe the shivering was from the awful portraits that hung along the walls. This man was just....crazy and there was not another one like him. Maybe this class would be fun once again as she was rather upset at the fact that his classes were extremely interesting, too bad the professor wasn't that interesting to her, just mean.

"Not overly so..." Tobi said, considering, "I mean, he doesn't have, shall we say the best reputation, and I guess it's a bit rightfully earned," he looked up at Lady Ravenclaw a bit apologetically, "but he's had good few centuries to live with his mistakes. Caroline Kinney Avalon certainly got a kick out of terrorizing Tobi, but then, when you're dead, entertainment must be hard to come by.

Miranda was still giggling when a boy adressed her. Her face fell a bit when she indeed remembered the scary classroom.
"Oh well...yeah it is scary..." she said thoughtfully, grimacing a little. But then as she remembered why she was laughing, a grin appeared on her face. "Well you see, that boy over there," she pointed at Dom, "He accidentaly sat on someone!" she whispered hurriedly and started to giggle again.

"What's not to love?"

Talk about overkill, right? As if Plymouth needed to be MORE afraid of the Kazimurderiz? Ugh. He was so creepy and now this. "I'm afraid of you and everything in there," Plymouth mumbled as he made his way past the ghost and into the room. He did NOT sit in the center though. If that's where KaziMurderiz was directing victims, then no way, no thanks. Plymouth went to the very back and took his chances with those dark corners. They couldn't be anywhere near as bad as Kazi himself, right?

Absolutely, right.

Her head was turned in the direction of the ghost now, the question seemed kind of odd, which is why she was paying attention now.

"Well, that depends...is it Quidditch related?" if not, it could be a waste of time. But she failed to notice the randomness of the question, and the place they where sitting in...

Juniper smiled back at the Grey Lady and sat rather clumsily in the chair next to the ghost. "Thank you, ma'am." The fourth year stacked parchment for notes, a quill, and her ink on her desk for use if Professor Kazimeriz wanted them to take notes. She was prepared. Just not mentally.

Turning to look at Lady Ravenclaw as the ghost asked the class a question, Juniper tilted her head. "What kind of games to you mean? I like most games, but not everybody does," she said, beaming. "It's probably a matter of opinion, but... you probably knew that."

Jai smiled "I love games, espeially challenging ones." she grinned. She hadn't done anything fun since Josh left.

"Wonderful!" Helena exclaimed. "Some stones are enchanted and used for protective purposes, yet other stones are used for entertainment purposes. The former stones have been placed for safe-keeping in a vault, but the latter stones were taken as a joke yet she knows not they are gone." She stopped and wondered if her strange riddle made sense for it made perfect sense to her Ravenclaw mind.

Angie 03-19-2009 04:39 AM

Ms. Ravenclaw thought that leaders shouldn't show any kind of fear. Okay. She could do that. She would do that. Because fear was definitely the last thing on her mind right now. Clearly.

Anger, embarrassment. Embarrassment, anger.

And she was blushing, which was about one hundred times worse. And if that wasn't enough, thanks to Dominic Denton, people were staring now; or at least his captain and that little girl from the Quidditch shop were, and. . .

Dominic and Willow sitting on a broom...

Forest green eyes turned sharply to the girl, narrowing into slits. What.Was.She.Talking.About? Had she failed to see that. . . that. . . UGH! If Kaika Lockhart was smart, she would start to think about new chasers for the second session of the match.

Upon hearing Dominic's following comment, Willow turned to look at him once again. "You were testing chairs. I see." Automatically, the girl looked away from him to pick up her messenger bag that was on the floor, before standing up. And then she looked up directly at him. "I suppose that it is a good thing to know that I look like a chair to you." And with that said, the girl flipped her curtain of hair to the back and went to seat by Juniper Goodwin with a scowl on her face.

Stupid giant with a pretty face.

Jai raised her eyebrows "Riddle? What are we finding out?" she asked hugging her knees.

Tobi rubbed his neck. A riddle? Okay, he wasn't great with those, but he could try. Riddles often used metaphores so what were the metaphors here?

"Do you want us to work it out on our own, or discuss it with each other?" he asked the clever ghost.

Tobi figured many brains were better than one, but if it was a game, maybe he should try and work it out himself.

Lizasaurus 03-19-2009 04:42 AM

Listening closely to what Ms. Ravenclaw was saying "Ok, I think I understand. Are we supposed to figure out who this person is, and where the stones are?"

Peeves 03-19-2009 04:44 AM

Games? GAMES?! GAMES!!!!

Oh, Peeves LOVED games! Yes he did, yes he did. The mere mention of the word practically sent Peeves into a tizzy.

From a dark corner, he shouted in a thundering tone, and as loudly as he could, "LET'S PLAY A GAME!"

Peevsie's voice boomed over the chatter in the room as he zoomed into the room riding Four-Eyes, the ghostly pink thestral Professor Bontecou had so kindly conjured for the master of mischief.

"This game," he said, shining a candle in front of his face, "Is called aurors and Voldypoos. I'll be the auror. You're all..." And just as he screeched the last word, he began racing around the room and pelting the students with water balloons. "VOLDYPOO!"

SPLASH. SPLASH. SPLASH.

Stones? Pfft. Stones were not in Quidditch. But curiosity was on her side, she wondered what the ghost could be talking about. Vaults, protective stones? Yes, that sounded like a riddle, and she was not the one for riddles.

But there were a bunch of Ravvies in the classroom, right? They were supposed to be good at those. If only she could think beyond practices and plays.

This was silly, where was Professor Kazimeriz? Why were they sitting in such a cold place? Why was the light not high enough? What will they be doing today? So many question, no one to answer them...

Tommehbell 03-19-2009 04:47 AM

Paris had gotten about 3 hours worth of sleep in between Quidditch practice, chasing her Imp around the grounds and doing homework. But like the diva she was she looked fabulous in her skinny jeans, silver tunic and green vest wtih her purple baby doll flats. She walked into classroom and stopped dead in the doorway. What was he playing at with this set-up.

She cautiously walked in and sat down in a group of students.

She squeeed and ducked for cover as Peeve zoomed into the room.

This was going to be crazy when the lesson started.

Tobi didn't think didn't pause, didn't hesitate a moment. He pointed his wand up in the air and bellowed. "Protego!" A large shield erupted over his head like an umbrella.

For all of Kazimeriz craziness, Tobi would have to bake him a pie for teaching him how to cast that one.

Honestly couldn't Peeves keep out of the Dungeons just for a little while?

Reasons why Willow Kovac was having a very bad day:

-She had to enter the incredibly scary Defense Against The Dark Arts Classroom
-Pretty face -but STUPID GIANT- Denton had sat on her
-The same Giant had basically called her a chair
-Peeves had just thrown a water ballon at her. Needless to say, she was wet.

"Come ON!" Started the girl, standing up quickly. "Who are you? Moaning Myrtle?"

Lizasaurus 03-19-2009 04:55 AM

Looking at Ms. Ravenclaw confused, all of a sudden it hit her, as another water burst hit her, too. Totally drenched now, Liz leaps to her feet. "I got it!"

With a huge smile on her face, she asks "Am I aloud to say who it is?"

CrazyLoonyLuna 03-19-2009 04:56 AM

Water balloons. O good grief. Now how was she supposed to concentrate? But a smile could not help but ecape from mandys lips as she saw many students get showered with water balloons. Herself included. But then her book got wet. Never wet a book worms book... She let out a snarl and looked up at Peeves. Trying to decide what to do about hium.

PhoenixRising 03-19-2009 04:57 AM

Somewhere in the midst of staring at the Claw Captain, Dominic heard bits of misty comments from the ghost that was in the room. Stones talk about entertainment and protective and... vaults? What was this; a riddle? Closing his eyes tightly, he tried to comprehend the pieces he had caught but couldn't. Perhaps his mind was just not witty enough for such nonsense.

And Willow was angry at him, which made things worse. Though seeing her angry only made the burning desire in the pit of his stomach grow. It was like a monster waiting to pounce, even the fact that she was offended deeply at him didn't matter. And thus she walked away from him, with him staring blankly at her black curtain of silky keratin hanging from her perfectly angelic face. With him opened mouth and not paying any attention at all. Except that she had walked away from him.

Until . . .

SMACK!!

A water balloon hit him square in the face, causing the fifth year to snap dazzlingly from his little reverie. Shaking his head of short brown hair as water sprinkled nearby, he sighed and slipped into the nearest desk, making sure it was empty first this time. Ugh.

TwilightHodges 03-19-2009 04:58 AM

Twilight entered the classroom and had to admire the work of her professor. She wasn't creep ed out by the dimmed room after all grandfather's residence had alot of places with no electric so this was normal.
She read the note and then looked around. She noticed the Grey Lady and started over to her second favorite ghost in the house, when she heard Peeves cackle and heard the swoosh of water balloons.
She quietly took out her wand and used a shield charm to avoid getting wet. Actually she liked Peeves in spite of himself and smiled to herself in secret. Finally she arrived at the desk next to the Grey Lady;

"Can i sit on the other side of you my sweet Lady?" she asked.

Abby writes the riddle down. Terrific another riddle to solve. Why can't for once they tell us what they want us to know. Abby grabs her parchment just in time to avoid Peeves splattering it with water. I wonder when Professor Kazimeriz is going to get here.

Cedric didn't want peeves to spoil DaDa class because it was his favorite class..He point his wand to the atmosphere of the room with a great concentration he said"Impervius"it is the spell that repels water..He hope that it works

SilverTiger 03-19-2009 05:00 AM

Elizabeth made her way to DADA class, a little nervously, since last time she had been in here Professor Kazimeriz had talked about cursing her. And even though he hadn't, she was still untrusting of the old man. And as she set foot inside, she was met by murky darkness. Immediately pulling her wand out, she said "Lumos."

As her wand lit, the beam revealed a water balloon heading straight for her. "Peeves," she groaned, before ducking to avoid getting drenched, then creeping further into the room, crouched down. Finally, she gave up and let her wandlight fade, instead casting a Shield charm before slowly letting her eyes adjust to the darkness and making her way even further in. As she got to the center of the room, she found most of the students there, and eventually found an open seat, where she dropped her bag before looking around. "Anyone figured out how to stop him yet?," she asked rhetorically, before glancing around to locate the poltergeist.

druidflower 03-19-2009 05:01 AM

SPLASH!

Most unfortunately, Tobi's shield failed Again when Peeves had thrown another water ballon at him. So he, like almost everyone else in the class, was now fairly... soaked.

"Honestly guys," Tobi said huffily, shaking his wet curly hair like a dog. "don't you remember ANYTHING from last class? I'm a menace with a wand, and even I can cast a shield charm. PROTEGO."

He didn't know how that was going to stop the barrage of water balloons though. The best thing to do would be to get the Poltergeist out, but how?

Lizasaurus 03-19-2009 05:01 AM

Miranda's high pitch sound made Kaika placed her hands in her ears. She'd forgotten she was barely a second year, but getting under a desk?! Really? After getting hit by bludgers and getting wet by rain?! That didn't make much sense at all.

But, oh, she was also wet. And Kaika didn't enjoy rain-related things, including wetness. But her wand was out, and with a flick of it she was already dry.

Nice. Now Miranda was threatening the poltergeist? That should be fun to see, perhaps. "Hey, don't, sit up...the desks won't..." ummm, won't what? protect you from something evil? was it evil? "...keep you dry much longer" she decided, not wanting to scare the girl.

But Kaika was now paying attention to another scene...Hmmmm, the next Quidditch match won't be an easy one with Dominic behaving like that in front of the Ravenclaw Captain, Willow, who was also in charge of bludgers, too.

And before Miranda could get a chance to take off her shoe, Kaika was tugging at her to get up. She obedienly stood up, not wanting to seem foolish infront of her captain. Although she probably already did.
"Yeah, your'e probably right..." she sighed as another balloon landed next to her. Well Miranda wasn't sure she wanted to part with her shoe. It was a pretty shoe. She liked it. But if that poltergeist did anything else...

"Oooohhhh, a mystery and a game. Liz breathes. "Thank you Ms. Ravenclaw. Will we hear more soon?"

Jai raised a brow at the ghost. "Was is her or is the person dead?" she asked again.

She nodded toward the Grey Lady. "Well I am out of ideas then," She said. She would have to go back to her room and think about it some more without that stupid poltergiest throwing water balloon about like a crazed monkey.

Abby thinks about it for a moment. "You're talking about lost house points?" Abby remembers the argument Professor Shaklefort had with Professor Lupa about her taking so many house points away from Hufflepuff.

Hmmm.. Mandy was having a hard time concentrating but she was trying to get her mind around who it could be. She looked at Jai. "I have no idea. Im stumped" For like the first time Mandy was stumped.

"Constant vigilance," replied Helena as she floated through the threshold and vanished from sight.

Elizabeth gave up on her Shield charm, as there were way too many balloons flying around to block all of them anyway. And the Grey Lady was peppering them with riddles. This was turning out to be the weirdest class she'd gone to this term, even after that Potions class.

Glancing over at her house's ghost, she asked, "Are these stones you're talking about now connected to when you mentioned rose quartz in the common room, Lady Ravenclaw?" Then she swiveled around, hitting another water balloon with an Impediment Jinx before it could slam into her. And the Grey Lady was gone.

Heeeheeeheeheehehe. Oh, how cute! The little girlie was trying to play along. "Nice try," he said, shaking his finger at her, "but that won't get you anywhere."

Suddenly he snapped out of it. "Name calling will get you NOWHERE."

He flew into the kid's face. "NOWHERE!"

Not a ball...Maybe a shoe!

Well, if they were going to ask questions, he might as well answer them. "Oh, childe," he said, mimicking the Grey Lady, "I was never alive, you see. Poltergeists are merely a manifestation of energies.

Nodding as Ms. Ravenclaw left. Constant Vigilance...

Was that our class... she wonders. Looking around for their professor.

Daniel was trying hard to restrain himself from the commotion. He was not afraid of the dark, so he sat in the front but at the side, not the middle... He looked and saw Peeves on his usual character... very playful naughty little demon...

He also saw the Grey Lady.... She was looking ever grey that before... I hope the Baron is here... that would be a laugh...

he listened to Peeves and then followed it with his sight into the shadows... I wonder what would scare us this time...

Tobi shook his damp self. "Well that was... refreshing.." he said in a dry tone that didn't match his person.

He pointed his wand at his sleeve and tried to perform a drying charm.

WHOOSH!

"Eeeeeeeeeeepp!"Tobi squealed in surprise at seeing his sleeve go up in flame. He whacked his sleeve on the desk to put it out, patting out the top with his textbook.

By the time the smallish blaze had been put out, he had no sleeve left to try again on, and he wasn't keen to attempt on his pants.
