The shutters have been drawn on the windows of the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, leaving the room in partial darkness. As you enter, your footfalls click against the cold stone floor and echo against the cavernous ceiling. There is a noticeable chill to the room. The sparse lighting is dim; slivers of dreary light from the closed shutters interrupt the darkness and cast undefinable, unnerving shapes against the walls. A few flickering, melting candles hang by ornate wall sconces, their light dancing almost ritually against the wall, as if being lightly blown by an absent wind. The faint, eerie whine of a floorboard creaking peals out from somewhere near the front of the room. ( is it just a floorboard? are you sure?) Grotesque photographs hang on the walls of the classroom, depicting images of malformed men and women suffering the effects of cruel, brutal curses. They writhe helplessly in pain, shrieking silently. Two rows of mahogany desks and benches line the walls, leaving a long, wide aisle empty for students and professor alike to walk through.
Several large wardrobes sit at the head of the class, the classroom’s regular dusty chalkboard moved to the side. Soft thumps and bumps echo about the room from no known source, often sounding like they are coming from above you—or right behind you. A chest sits at the top of the stairs to the professor’s office, rattling occasionally.
The professor is not yet apparent in the room. There is a note on the classroom board: Please come in and take a seat at one of the desks... You may wish to avoid the darker corners, and instead choose to sit in the dead center of the room. After all... You never know what might be lurking in the shadows.

A boggart stepped out of the wardrobe, appearing as Liam to Emalyn Daniels.
He looked around, as though lost and confused. "Emalyn? Emalyn?" He started to cough. "Where are you? I'm lost... I can't find anyone... " He sank to his knees, beginning to cry and cough harder. "It hurts... It hurts..." His voice grew weaker as he began to die in front of her eyes, out of reach. Alone.

Okay, so, Kaika wanted to laugh so hard at Dom's boggart...not that she didn't see that one coming...but his reaction was priceless.
Her smiled faded as soon as she realized she may or may not had to go through it, and it was something she was certainly not looking forward to. She started to get a bit nervous about that. She already knew her boggart will not turn into Wystan, because, well, she was now a joke...
BUT
She had a feeling what that may turn into if it was ever her turn to face it...because she swore never to play that position again. ooc: her boggart is a fast sneaky snitch  | |

It wasn't really them. It wasn't really them... The same thought kept returning to him. Not them. It's not them. It sure looked like them, but those were expressions that he'd never seen on any of their faces before.
They needed to have a laugh. All he could do...was turn it into a joke.
"Riddikulus," he said as loudly as he could, waving his wand and focusing on what should happen. He could see it in his head, the expressions they SHOULD be making...

Satisfied with how he handled the Boggart, Helios turned on his heels and walked over to where Kayla sat. A cloud that looked vaguely like a winged horse drifted across his left cornea.
"How did I do?"
The badger, no, wolverine asked for his prefects approval, smiling all the while.

Dominic really had to constrain himself from bursting on the floor into fits of laughter at the reaction to his incantation. It had worked and the Boggart Amelia pretty much FREAKED out over the toads! BWAHA!
But sadly the humorous version of Mia being smothered as counter to her own previous smothering of him didn't last long as the shapeshifter quickly moved onto its next victim. Hearing Kazimeriz give his approval, Dominic turned and went back to his seat to watch the rest of the boggarts of his peers and their performances.

Just laugh... Kayla watched Raiden with concern as he tackled the boggart. Wow, he had this huge problem and never told anyone about it and then she remembered last year when he had been talking to Nicholai. This must have been what it had been about.
She gave him a broad smile, "Way to go Raiden, you did an excellent job. Totally kicked that boggarts butt." Quote:

Looking over at Helios, she gave him a small smile. "Alright I suppose" she replied coolly. "But that boggart only showed half my personality, I personally think it went to easy on you" Kayla brushed the hair off her face and gave him a smirk.
Ugh...she wanted another go. This time she knew she would be able to handle the boggart when it turned into her grandmother, she knew what she would turn it into now.

JAKEEEEEEEEEEEE! Where was Jake??? Her Seeker! The one who dealt with the golden side of Quidditch!...Wait a minute...What was she supposed to do? There was a spell, right? What did Prof. Kazimeriz say? What did the others say when they faced this?
Kaika couldn't think, and her wand felt loose in her hand, and the snitches were getting closer...RUN! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!...it's a good thing someone decided to have snitches instead of snidgets for the game.
That's it! Wasn't it something 'Riddle'...no...'Ridiculous'...no...AH! "Riddikulus!" she said, with a firm grip on her wand now...perhaps if the incantation worked and the beater's bat made its appearance it will knock the snitches into the ground.

Christine stood completely still, gripping her wand very tightly in her right hand. She was watching all that was going on around her, and was not looking forward to her turn against the boggart. She found it a little interesting what the other students were afraid of. She actually chuckled a bit seeing Dominic get attacked by a fan girl, something she knew he dreaded.
Christine tried to think hard of what she was scared of the most. A few things crossed her mind, but then a thought stopped her in her tracks. She knew what she was most afraid of, everyone thinking she was a freak, something she experienced at her muggle school, and hoped to never experience again. Christine clentched her teeth together and took deep, slow breaths, waiting for the boggart to turn its attention on her.

Herminny hesitantly got up and said, "rediculus", with passion and conction in her voice and saw the boggart turn into professor Vindictus in a tutu and she laughed out loud nice and hearty so happy she overcame her fears.

He just had to keep telling himself that as his eyes misted over and he bit his bottom lip in any effort not to start sobbing right there in the middle of the classroom.
Happy and humorous.. Whit... getting up ad being pulled by strings? Good enough. She looked sort of funny being pulled by strings. A puppet. One of those ones that just made people laugh when seeing it. Chase smiledand pointed his wand at the puppet Whitney. "Riddikulus!" he yelled and a light shot from his wand.

He just had to keep telling himself that as his eyes misted over and he bit his bottom lip in any effort not to start sobbing right there in the middle of the classroom.
Happy and humorous.. Whit... getting up ad being pulled by strings? Good enough. She looked sort of funny being pulled by strings. A puppet. One of those ones that just made people laugh when seeing it. Chase smiledand pointed his wand at the puppet Whitney. "Riddikulus!" he yelled and a light shot from his wand. The boggart began to stand, working as a marionette pulled into standing position, grotesque but at least not a living being. The boggart changed shape suddenly, turning into Christine's muggle school mates. "FREAK! FREAK!" They began to shout in a chorus, pointing and laughing at her.

She closed her eyes. She could still feel the HEAT. She could still see the FLAMES. Orange and gold and yellow…all she could see. Think! You are in control. You must think. Think funny… orange and gold and yellow… think funny orange…funny gold…funny yellow….EUREKA!
She opened her eyes wide and actually smiled! Her wand took on a life of its own as she said ‘Riddikulus!!’ Miraculously, the boggart began to transform…..it was wonderful. Qaz soon found herself on a trampoline, surrounded by hundreds to bouncing goldfish. 
Up and down. Up and down. My, how they could bounce. Qaz immediately joined in…jumping higher and higher with all of the goldfish.
Laughing  and jumping  , oblivious to everything else around her. This was such fun….

Her smile was not fading anytime soon. This was a sight she'll never forget. Who knew snitches could be vulnerable to a bat?  Why, only a beater knows...

Right to that time when Gavin followed your cannon ball, failed, twisted into a knot instead, and flailed and splashed as he tried to untangle his foot that was hooked to his neck. In the process, Carla and Sabrina were drenched just as they were applying sunblock on each other. Then, the screamfest began. He'd never laughed so hard in his life, he almost swallowed enough water to drown him. It was bliss to see his sisters furious.
The darkness was actually beneficial, as it helped him paint a more solid and vivid picture of the funny scene in his head. "Riddikulus!"
