Down the staircase to the left of the main staircase in the Entrance Hall lie the dungeons of Hogwarts. In order to reach the various classrooms, dungeons, and the Slytherin Common Room you have to make your way through the creepy, dark, corridors...

Shana thought carefully,she now understood what was going on.She thought...she didn't want to get beat up for defending Jack and She fancied Jake but it wasn't fair on Jack for her to keep her mouth shut and for him to get kicked out of hogwarts.

She tapped Reese's shoulder and began to whisper to her,she didn't want to interrupt anything.Ermm Reese like Jack shouldn't have tried to strangle Jake and everything but- She stopped,she bit her lip and carried on.But he did want to be friends with Jake he told me,he told me everything.She sighed hoping at leat Reese would believe her.Reese was like a big sister to Shana.She carried on.He told me that he didn't mean to hurt him and that he wanted them both to be friends.She looked up at and gave a sort of smile then turned back to the professor.

Jake looked up into Kazimeriz's face. "He got detention for punching me... or rather... the detention and points loss was for hitting a girl, but he denied he ever hit me," he added.

Jack shook his head "Professor, I might have done that before, but I don't remember it!" Jack exclaimed "See, I hit my head and I lost all my memories of Hogwarts and Diagon Alley, I only know what happened after the accident" Jack explained honestly

Reese didn't move when Shana tapped her on the shoulder.She stood where she was,looking at Professor Kazimeriz,as Shana whispered in her ear.Yes,he shouldn't have strangled Jake,she thought. She crossed her arms as she let Shana finish talking. She already heard the story about Jack wanting to be friends with Jake.She didn't blame Jake either for NOT wanting to be friends with Jack.If someone strangled her then wanted to be friends,she wouldn't do it.She shook her head in disgust,but didn't reply to Shana.If she talked,Kazimeriz might take points away for being rude while other people were talking.It was just best for her to stay quiet.

Jai shook her head and continued on, maybe they weren't even Slytherins, she'd find out later but for now she was out trying to get extra credit for slytherin, that is after she came back from Hogsmeade but a quick visit with a teacher couldn't help.

I caution you not to involve yourself lest you find yourself facing consequences similar to that of your classmates." He focused on the students involved. "I am frankly appalled at the behaviour of all students involved... most especially you, Mr. Mosier. Physical violence and casting against another student... these are grounds for expulsion. Surely you are aware of that. Northway, Whiggmeister-- as older students, you should have known enough to take these issues to the Heads of House instead of deciding to administer street justice. Twenty points shall be taken from each of you for your regrettable lack of judgment, aside from Upstead, who is the victim according to all involved. Additionally, aside from Upstead, you shall all be placed into detention until I have conferred with your heads of house. Upstead, you will lose 10 points as well for failing to bring your troubles to your Head of House and allowing things to escalate to this level."

Reese turned her attention to Professor Kazimeriz as he spoke to her and Lima. "Yes,sir.I should have talked to my Head of House,"she told him. "I'm really sorry." She nodded when Professor Kazimeriz took away 20 points and gave her detention.That was fair. "I'm really sorry,"she said,again.She looked at Jack and gave him a slight smile. "I shouldn't have gotten caried away.I didn't mean to bring my wand out on you,"she told Jack.

Lima took her punishment as well as she could. Though she couldn't believe she got Detention. Even though she had deserved it. "Yes, Sir," she said nodding to Kazi. She then turned her gaze to Jake and offered him a weak smile. Even though she deserved it, she didn't mind doing it for Jake.

Listening to Kazimeriz, or rather his voice echoing round the corridor, Jake felt lousy. Hufflepuff had just lost, what, 50 points? And all because of him, because he hadn't gone for help before... But it had been scary!

"Yes sir, I understand that," he nodded slowly, glancing over at Lima and Reese and back to Kazi. "Am I excused to go now, sir?" Jake enquired of the old man. It was great to not have detention, with quidditch coming up and all... but still... it was a kind of hollow victory. Well... not a victory at all.

"Indeed, you may go... and you as well, Miss Greingoth. Whiggmeister, Mosier, and Northway, you are to report to detention immediately. I will meet you there once I have handled the business that brought me to the dungeons to begin with." Kazimeriz said simply, dismissing them all.

Jack hung his head sadly and then gasped "But... that will be my fourth detention!" he told the rofessor "I'm so dead, gone, out" he muttered

Jack wanted to prove the unfairness of this situtation, it was not fair, he didn't like it, not good, he'd just got even with his points, and now that muggle studies home work, was wasted

Sorry Professor.She said and stood back a little bit,she smiled at Reese and Lima.This wasnt anything to do with her she was only here 'cause she'd been talking to Lima.She smiled at the professor and turned around to walk off.See you later guys.She headed off into her common room.

Barry never ventured to the dungeons. He always thought that Nico would be there, and his group, all would gang up on him. But he wasn`t a child anymore. Time to get over childish beliefs.

Barry walked down the stairs. Ugh already it was cold, but you know nothing bad, and if the Slytherins were busy, he could get all the way through the dungeons, and perhaps read in peace. And who knew perhaps one of his freinds might be down here.

Evangeline figured that the dungeon corridor was a good enough place to post her poster, since ... well, every Slytherin had to walk past that, right? And maybe she could catch the attention of some Slytherin student who had nothing better to do and maybe they could go watch the match. YAY!

Repeating the process she had done in the dormitories, glad she had remembered to keep her wand in her pocket before leaving, the Prefect managed to stick her handmade poster on the wall.

As directed, because Dominic was frankly petrified of Kazimeriz (and Lupa but more the former), the fifth year didn't say a single word to Abby as he escorted her down the dungeons. It was cold and damp, which if it were up to him, then he would not have escorted his peer. The Kitchen Corridors were as far down as the fifth year went, other than last term when he'd been forced to because of a stupid book throwing incident, which Madam Kohan just had to call him out on. Really though, he didn't want to be down here. It was lanky and gross.

Upon arrival at where the Detention Corridor was, Dom stopped and looked at Abby giving her the best, 'good luck' expression, since she could very well need with ms hypocrite of a runes professor. "Well I guess this is where I leave you," he smiled vaguely in her direction, as he watched her to enter the room where she'd be given further instructions.

Mission completed. Dominic then turned back around headed up from the corridor. From the musty, smelly dungeon air that filled his nostrils and caused him to wrinkle his nose in disgust. For once, Dominic Denton was quite grateful to NOT being a Slytherin.

Shrugging his rucksack further up his shoulder, Clifford slowly made his way to the Slytherin Common Room. To say he was exhausted was an understatement.. the amount of homework they'd been getting this term was just RIDIC! What he wanted most now was chocolate frogs confiscated from the firsties, and his favourite armchair by the fireplace where he could have a well deserved snooze. WOOT!

The Slytherin was so wrapped up in his thoughts, that he very nearly walked head-first into someone that was headed his direction. Probably a fellow Slythie on the way to the library..

.. or not.

"Denton?" The sixth year questioned, recognising the Hufflepuff Prefect and raising one eyebrow. Last he'd heard, the dude had been snogging Willow Kovac. Yes, word spread fast around Hogwarts and that was just ... EW! "If I remember correctly, your Common Room's up there." He said cooly, index finger pointing toward the ceiling.

The stench and coldness of this corridor was definitely making him delusional. Almost enough to make not notice someone narrowly miss walking into him. Dominic was about to continue on his path, ignore the someone, which was probably just a Slytherin heading down to their equally cold and smelly common room (so he assumed it was such), when they spoke. Freezing on the spot, the fifth year knew that voice. Taking a step back, to glance in the direction of the voice, he gulped at the sight of the Slytherin Prefect. Their Quidditch Keeper.

"Oh Clifford," he responded in a tone that perhaps would have been more friendly had he not just witnessed immense immaturity by Professor Lupa and a potential thinking of cursing another Professor by Kazimeriz. "Yes, your memory is correct, which is why I do believe I was headed away towards the stairwell." No need to explain his business down here, unless asked. "But you on the other hand, your common room is that way, is not?" the fifth year raised a brow, inclining his head behind them where Clifford had just walked from.

Clifford didn't know Denton that well, but he seemed pretty decent. Well, apart from the whole snogging Willow Kovac thing. Seriously, why would ANYONE do such a thing? He must've had a deathwish.. yeah, that had to be it. Why else would anyone want to snog a girl that could crush bones with nothing but her bare hands?

"Erm.. actually, my Common Room is that way," he corrected the Hufflepuff, pointing right ahead of him and into the darkness.. the direction he'd been heading. He was at least close to the Slytherin Common Room.. Denton on the other hand.. "What brings you down here then? I'm guessing you didn't get lost.." Curiosity wasn't a crime, was it?

There definitely seemed to be something that was bothering Clifford about him, which was bugging him too. Dominic hardly had any previous contact with the Slytherin, so what could he possibly have done wrong? Confusion still swept over on his face, he blinked when the older Prefect corrected him on his common room direction.

"Oh right... well, I've never been there," he answered back sheepishly, as if that made it all better. And of course, the dreaded question. "I ... uh..." Best get the truth out. "Escorting a fellow student down to the Detention Center, per a Professor's instructions." It didn't matter which student or which professor, really. "So. Not lost, no."

Escorting a fellow student to the Detention Center? Baaah, that was BOOORING! Living down in the dungeons, Clifford had seen alot people on their way to and from detention. No fun. Denton being lost woulda been more entertaining.. at least then he coulda taunted the Puff a little. Bwaha. Now THAT woulda been fun.

"Dude, you're lucky you've got your Common Room on the kitchen level," the sixth year sighed longingly. The dungeons were pretty cool if you were into the dark and gloom and what have you.. but Clifford was WAAAY more into food. "OOOOH! Do you like have a secret passage that goes from you Common Room to the kitchens!?" That would be SO AWESOME!

... he really was hungry.

Why was Clifford talking about the kitchens? Almost as a distraction to what was his little trek down here to deliver his fellow student to detention. Like he wasn't at all impressed by the fact that he, Dominic Denton, was so BLOODY SCARED of Kazimeriz, that he did as he was told. Then again, the Defense Professor had threatened points. One thousand of them to be precise and the fifth year didn't want to risk it.

"Secret passage to the Kitchens?" He frowned, trying to recall if there was one. "Nope. I don't think so, but then again, this is only my second year in the school... common room ... I could have missed it." Dominic made a note to thoroughly investigate the common room in his few weeks he had left of the term.

"So... um... Good game out on the pitch the other day," he murmured, though he tried not recall the vague sense of disappointment he felt in being unable to play the second session. Stupid Callie Long and her ~~inability to fly a broom~~ collision. Then again... if it hadn't happened, then what happened in the stands, wouldn't have happened either. Sigh.

There was no secret passage way!? Oh man, that sucked.. for a moment, Clifford had been thinking about having himself a little adventure. How awesome would it be to turn all ninja like, and sneak into the kitchen THROUGH the Hufflepuff Common Room?

"Ah, thanks man." Clifford mumbled at Denton's words regarding the Quidditch. He was still a bit sore over that loss. Bleh. "That crash you and Callie had.. OUCH!" It had looked pretty nasty from his end of the pitch. "But you managed to watch the second half, right? I heard you.." snogged Willow Kovac, he almost caught himself saying. Eh. After clearing his throat, his words trailed into nothingness.

She was ladened down with bags from Honeydukes. Nothing like stuffing your face for a few hours to make you forget your troubles. She was walking with her bag floating in front of her. They had been too heavy for her carry and her arms were sore from having to drag them from Hogsmead.

She slowed down when she heard voices in the corridor and especially when she heard the words Quidditch. That match was still making her cry. She rounded a corner and saw Clifford and Dominic. Well this day was just getting better and better. Clifford hated her for losing and Dominic hated her for breathing.

Just great! She wanted to stamp her foot

She sighed and kept going down the corridor toward the common room with her candy bags. "Hello boys," She smiled at Clifford and then not know what sort of look to give Dominic she just gave him a blank stare.

Dominic could sense the disappointment on Clifford's face when he told him there was no secret passageway. That got him to thinking that there just HAD to be some sort of secret passage. There were them like all over the castle apparently, so why couldn't there be one in the Hufflepuff Common Room too? Yes. Dominic was convinced now that there WAS, but he just hadn't found it yet.

Oh. More disappointment. Mentioning the Quidditch Match that his team had beat Clifford's for the second year in a row was probably not a good move on his part. "No problem and yes, it was pretty painful on the head." The fifth year winced slightly at recollection of the crash and the aftermath in the Hospital Wing, as well as him rushing the healer to get him back in time to see Jake catch the snitch . . . again. "But with an ice pack slapped onto my head, I did see the tail end of the match." He beamed slightly, but then quickly frowned. The Prefect was going to say something else, he knew it. "Heard I what?" He demanded, eyes narrowing slightly but determinedly.

Not taking his focus off Clifford, Dominic heard an all too familiar voice from down the corridor. One who he was sure wasn't one that he wanted to hear and was probably a Slytherin, since she sounded to be coming from the ground level, not from down the corridor where the common room was.

"Hello," he murmured back responsively, not bothering to look who it was. It didn't matter because right now he wanted to know what it was that Clifford had heard about him.
