As you make your way down the sloping lawn towards today's Care of Magical Creatures lesson, you see sturdy wooden benches lined up in 3 rows. In front of the benches, Professor Morgan sits upon her small, wooden stool next to a tall blackboard. As you get closer you can see a notice has been scribbled on it.
"Hello class, take a seat please," she said not rising herself. "You will see that I have placed a blank permission slip on each of your seats. Please fill it out promptly and then bring it to me, along with your wands. Today's lesson involves dangerous creatures and proper safety precautions have to be followed." Quote:

From her place on the bench, Mariel squinted up at the blackboard to make out it's message. Permission slips? That can't mean anything good. Aha, she knew it as she then heard the words dangerous creatures spoken by Professor Morgan.
The second year wasn't all that fond of regular magical creatures let alone dangerous ones, but against her better judgement she filled out the permission slip. She had taken the class up to this point, she wasn't about to drop it now and let all her previous work go to waste, no matter how scary this lesson might be. And she didn't even want to try to guess what creature they'd be studying, she'd find out soon enough anyway. Quote:

As Elizabeth read the notice on the blackboard for CoMC, she took a deep breath. They were going from unicorns to creatures dangerous enough that they had to sign permission slips? She was quite fond of her limbs, and there was still Quidditch to look forward to. It would be kind of hard to do her job as chaser if she was missing an arm or something. But it was class, and she was responsible enough to know she needed to attend, so she picked up the slip and signed it.

Year: First year Blossom signed and wrote her name as Buffy in the permission slip as her teachers knew her as Buffy as that is how she was registered in the school. She sighed. How could her mum give her such a weird name? She felt brave with the dangers as she had met worse dangers at night. (not telling how!)
She handed her slip and wand into the teachers awaiting hands and sat back down in a seat.

Becca looked down at the permission slip. Really? Really, Professor Morgan? Man. No one in their right mind would even consider messing with a dangerous creature, right? So she was rather confused as to why they had to sign a permission slip, when it seemed to be obvious that one would want to stay alive.

She hesitated. They had to give up their wands too? The thought of this made her uneasy, but it was for the better, right? Becca turned in her permission slip and wand after a few moments of pondering the possibilities of being wandless. It really was okay. If an emergency struck, Becca could easily take down anything that got in her way. She was hardcore.
