Copernicus patted his hair and eyebrows to be sure everything was there. What was that... burning hair smell? Here's hoping he didn't have a flaming bald spot on the back of his head. He turned to be sure Cela wasn't on fire before stepping back to the Headmaster's side next to the dragon's head. Eek. This was nervous-making.

Unable to believe her ears, Professor Morgan turned away from Masterson and spun around with fiery eyes. "Helios, try that again and you will leave my lesson. 5 points from Hufflepuff for reckless behavior." She scowled.
Still highly irritated from the continued chaos, Iliana was not in the mood for silly games. If he wanted to hide, pretend to ... play dead? and ignore her completely, clearly he was either in on this ignorant joke, or there was something very wrong with her fellow professors just like the Headmaster had said.

"Fine Constantine, then you're coming with me." She said, with a flourish of her wand...

Intent as she was watching the students with the sleeping dragon Kayla could not miss what the young girl had said. "What?" she looked over to where the groundskeeper was laying and she was tempted to roll her eyes. "Give him mouth to mouth then." I bet that wakes him up quick smart she thought.

Cela sealed the container and grinned back at Copernicus, thoroughly impressed that he was right up there with the fangs. He was brave and smart.

Cela gasped as the flame spread and stared in amazement at Professor Truebridge. Wow he was totally onto it! Cela continued sealing the containers.

Ha. Great. At least she now knew what to expect when something moved inside. Good thing she-dragon was not awake, though, because her hand was still on her side. So, yeah...this is awesome!

She was sooooo happy she was not near the head.

But she still eyed her surroundings, in case something happened if she couldn't run to the Castle, then she'll jump into one of the trees and summon her broom. There! A plan already. Amazing!

She frowned, didn't he feel it? "Ummm, yes" which was obvious, because something did happen afterwards.

Uh-Oh. Of course he was freaking out. He was a sweet little Huffie boy, who shouldn't be near a dragon, but...oh, well, no one should be near a dragon...

She watched as he took a step back. Was he...going to leave her? And by her, she meant the dragon..

"It's alright, Jake...if you don't want to do this anymore, you can go ahead and sit" she said, softly enough, and nodded to let him know it was okay to do so.

All was good...all was good...

Dead? Who was dead? Who was touching his wrist!? Constantine was so confused; how come this worked SO well for opposums and not him! He was a few seconds away from opening his eyes and surrendering, when he felt a weird feeling. His eyes opened up in shock to find that his world was shrinking and he was spouting fur out of skin.

Pretty soon, all the feeling stopped and everyone looked so freakishly tall. He looked down and noticed that he had little paws and fur. Lots of fur. And frankly, he only had one thing to say about this...

"Squeak?"

"O-Okay," said Tobi, his voice quivering only slightly, as he marched over, head held high, knees, knocking together, and his stomach churning .

Tobi uncorked the flask with a POP! that brought his shoulders up to meet his ears. He wanted to shhhh the bottle but he also didn't want to make any noise.

Tobi reached his hand down the throat of the man eating creature and poured a liberal amount of potion.

- I leave my treasured broom, my Silver Arrow to - wait, am I done? Am I alive?

Tobi was backing away! and he had all his limbs!! Who would have thought!?

Lina squeaked. "No no! I just... He's big and I'm..." She looked down to the professor. Tentatively she reached out and touched his neck, hoping to find the pulse there. It should be much easier that way. With a sigh she nodded. "I found a pulse, and it's steady."

She held a hand by his face, which smelled strongly of potions still. She could feel his breath. "And he's still breathing. So no need for something like... that." She said it almost disgustedly. Not that he was a bad-looking guy, but she had no interest in him, and she most certainly did not want her first kiss to be from something like this.

And then he... squeaked? No, not even that. He said squeak. Curious, and knowing what the headmaster said before, she decided to try and get into his head a bit. "Professor, what are you doing?"

"There we are." She said as a niffler appeared after all. She reached up, removed her necklace and threw it over by her bench. Then she stood still, watching little Neo-niffler and waited. He would just have to stay with her (and stay furry) until this whole mess was sorted out.
"Never you fear, Lina. The Groundskeeper is going to be just fine. I will take good care of him." She said, nonchalantly.

"Good job." Ethan nodded, handing off another full container and beginning to fill another. "I think you and Copernicus are done with that fang there, Bontecou, we don't want to take it all." Truebridge looked around, "Lina and Kayla, would you two mind packing the labeled containers into the bag please?"

"Oh, sure sir," Anna said, hopping off the bench she was sitting on and heading over to where Cela was. For some time, Anna had been sitting and observing the actions of her classmates, and the dragon really didn't seen THAT bad. Of course it helped that Professor Hotness, aka Mr. Dragon Keeper Truebridge, was present. Sure, Anna was no longer lying to the professor about her age and current occupation, but did that mean she thought he was any less cuter than she did when they first met? Erm, NO!

As soon as Cela handed her a container, Anna began studying it and preparing it to be labeled. Grabbing a nearby label and a quill, Anna attached the label to the container and wrote:

When Cela passed her a second container, Anna followed the same routine she'd just been though. She first studied it and then when she was ready, she grabbed a second label. After attaching it to the container, Anna picked up her quill and wrote:

As soon as she'd laid those containers to the side, Anna turned to reach for a third container. She was interrupted by a loud...burping?...sound coming from the dragon. Jumping back, Anna looked at the animal as if it'd suddenly announced it was going to eat her for dinner. Anna glanced over at Professor Truebridge, was just brushing it off as if nothing had happened. "Good Merlin!" Anna exclaimed, edging away from the dragon a bit. With hesitation, Anna accepted another container from Cela.

She heard her name called and jumped a little. Well, she would just have to leave the now niffler Neo in the grass. She nodded to Professor Truebridge and made her way over, taking some of the labeled containers and very carefully putting them into the provided bag.

ooc: Did I miss him turning to a niffler? Yikes!

He looked up at the woman who had been responsible for his change. He squeaked again, pawing at her foot a lit- whoa. Wait. Was that? OH my, it WAS! SHINYTHINGOMGCHASEFOLLOWPOUNCE!! Without even a second thought, he took off after the shinywhatchamacallitthing.

"You are so awesome Jake Upstead!" Celandine called out to the hufflepuff, "I watched you play quidditch and If you can do that then no wonder you are so good with the dragon!"

Cela began to hum cheerfully and continued sealing the containers, occassionally shooting little glances of awe at various staff and students.

She continued to label the containers. He handing. It gave her a tickle to see everyone acting all scared around the SLEEPING dragon. The thing was asleep. You would think they were all being lead out to the executions or something. Even her baby brothers who were only 7 had more of a backbone than they did. She snorted trying to cover up a giggle.

Kayla stood up and moved forward, "Sure thing Professor." She looked over to the younger girl and gave her a smile. "Come on Lina, leave the dead man and let's pack us some venom." She picked a bag and started placing the containers inside very carefully.

She squeaked and jumped when a niffler ran over her shoes toward as a shiny object. She watched the thing scurry off like its tail was on fire. "Thats weird. Did someone leave a cage open in the nursery?" She asked no one in particular.

Iliana followed closely behind him, smiling with pride as Masterson scurried after her locket. Just as planned. Sitting down in the grass beside him, she outstretched her hand and patted him on the head. Then returned her attention back where it needed to be. On the dragon.

Hehe, awesome with quidditch? Well... no... but Jake was amazed all the same by... Celandine? Yeah, her... By the fact that she was making him feel oodles better.

Nodding to himself, Jake took one look around, noticed Professor Morgan petting a random niffler, and promptly decided to just focus on the darn dragon and ask things later.

Trembling again, Jake approached the dragon and stretched his hand out again, feeling himself make contact and needing to move his hand a little to get back to the right place.

Haha, this wasn't so bad.

Oh, that had been Mr. Masterson hiding...she was NOT hallucinating. Awesome...or not so awesome....

Yikes...so he was one of those who were acting strange too?! Noooo, not Mr. Masteron...

Pffft. Let's move on...She was still feeling nothing from the dragon...and Tobi did a wonderful job. Great.

Lina continued putting the vials away, glancing to Kayla. "Can you believe how crazy this class has been? And not even about the dragon!"

Finishing up, Ethan handed off the last container and carefully unstrapped the dragon's jaws, folding the manticore hide straps up carefully and placing them in the bag.

"You have all done very well. I am impressed." Ethan nodded. "If you would all make a line at the dragon's sides, Kaika and Jake can show you where to touch the dragon to feel it breathing. You can stroke the scales, but be careful of the wings and I will NOT tolerate any idiocy. Two at a time, one on each side. Kaika, Jake? Do you two think you can handle showing everyone? I'll be right here."

With the locket's chain in his mouth, he laid down in the grass and sighed. His whiskers twitched as he felt someone patting him on the head. He turned his head to see that it was the woman who had turned him into this in the first place. But, he didn't know any other nifflers...and she was probably the closest he'd to being comforted.

Slowly, he crawled into her lap, pulling the chain with him. With another little sigh, he curled up, protecting the shinymabob and watched the people around the dragon.

Ummm...what? They're done? Huh. It didn't take very long, did it? Or at least she didn't think so.

'Kaika and Jake' Yup, "Sureee, go ahead...just place your hand in this very spot" she said, showing whoever needed to be shown and stepped away from the dragon...

Because too many people around it was certainly not a good idea. That she knew.
