Herminny look toward the direction Lucy was pointing and thought wow and asked, "why is professor Lupa crying like that" very quetly in such a way only Lucy could hear her question cause she really did not want to get onto trouble for talking in class but still wanted to know what going on cause apparantly she missed something quite intresting.

Fineeeeeee...she took her hand away and kept walking...

Jake looked scared, and she didn't like it much when he was, sometimes she forgets that he was only a first year...

"Alright, when you are ready, then" until then, she was standing not so close to the Ravenclaw boy, who must have been Copernicus, because Tobi was from Gryffindor and Clifford from Slytherin...so...yeah...it was her, Copernicus, then the dragon...

But it still was sedated, sort of...so, the dragon will eat Copernicus first..awesome!

"I'm going to need you two over here." Ethan led them to the dragon's side. "I just dosed her so she shouldn't wake up, but if you see her stir at all, you need to holler as loud as you can. Watch her belly, if it moves and grumbles let me know alright? And because you have both been behaving and paying attention, I'll tell you that the easiest way to tell is to press your hand here so you can feel the rumbling." Ethan gently pressed his hand against the side of the vipertooth, able to feel her breathing through the touch.

"There are some collection containers in that bag." Ethan pointed at a leather bag near the dragon's head and nodded, trying his best to ignore the strange behaviour of Lupa.

"Not just like me." Ethan disagreed, "Since apparently you don't much respect what I have to say, Alessia. I'm sure you'd respect what Kazimeriz has to say, however. Now, as a professor would you kindly sit down or do I have to ask you to leave?"

"Copernicus." Ethan turned to the Ravenclaw, "If you would help the Headmaster with the collection containers and there are some straps in there that are made of manticore skin, if you wouldn't mind straightening them out for me?"

And now the angry professor was CRYING! What was with this one? She knew that Professor Lupa seemed to act strangely in the classes, but that could have been nervousness, right? This was... different. Lina couldn't help rolling her eyes at a professor making such a scene. What a whiny lady!

And almost immediately Kaika was by the Professor's side, which, amazingly enough, also meant the dragon's side. Yay! And she was sooooo close to the she-dragon that it was incredible...

Now, this could be a happy thought she could have whenever a boggart was around...or whenever she felt bad.

'It shouldn't wake up'..."But you don't know for sure" she said, almost as if she wanted Jake to run away, hopefully the first year didn't got to hear that.

"Alright, then...right here, right?" she said, as she pressed her hand very, very near the spot Prof. Truebridge just told them to. Ooooh...this was simply great.

"Professor Lupa tried to touch the dragon, but Professor Truebridge saw her and used the Full-Body-Bind on her." Lucy replied in very soft whisper. She continued to watch the two professors. Truebridge said something to Lupa. She waited to see what would happen. This was slightly exciting.

"Let's just all calm down. Let Less go on her way. There's something not right happening with some of the staff," he said, no qualms about airing his concern in front of students. He moved off to fetch the collection containers. He came back and waited for further instructions. This was Truebridge's show and Pepe didn't have much experience with dragons. Always fun to learn new stuff though. He was like a kid in a candy shop, only much more outwardly calm.

As the class seemed to be taking a rotten turn for the worst, Iliana watched in horror as everything started to fall apart. Thankfully Ethan acted quickly, protecting Less from herself. She'd might be upset, but she'd be alive, right? She would just have to get over it.

Then the brilliant man did something that shocked and pleased her all at once. He called Jake up to help! Watching her brave, little Jake get up to actually stand near the dragon, Iliana's smile spread across her whole face.

Hearing Less crying, Iliana rushed over to her side and sat down beside her. "There there Less honey, I'm here." No matter how silly she'd been acting, she was still her best friend and it hurt her to see her so upset.

She wasn't sure what was going in but it was more entertaining than her Arthimancy homework. She tried to draw a picture of a dragon, but she just wasn't blessed with that skill and her first attempt was crazy so she just wadded up the paper and stuck it in her pocket. She didn't want anyone to see that. Ever.

She sat in her chair and watched the going ons. She wanted to do something with the dragons, but she wasn't picked. So she sat back to watch to see if anyone would get bitten.

Something not right with some of the staff? Lina raised a brow curiously and wondered if this had anything to do with the note she had been given to give to Professor Bontecou. She made a note to check some things out then decided to continue watching the class.

So they weren't feeding the dragons or what? Anastasia was practically clueless to all the commotion until Less, the silly girl, ALMOST got to pet the dragon.

Bunny gasped, hoping she would get close enough - but nooooo, the boys had to shut her down. And then they made her CRY! Pepe and Zan! BOOO!

"You guys are MEANIEHEADS!" Annie burst out, crossing her arms and stomping her foot for emphasis. She didn't move from her bench though, cos she didn't wanna ruin her own chances of getting close to the dragon. And who was this Krazimeerkat? Why was he so threatening? She didn't remember any crazy mermen when she was at school...

How much did Tobi NOT want to do this? He couldn't even describe it, but perhaps you know how badly you never want to jump off a hundred story building into a vat of boiling acid? Well then, YOU KNOW how badly he did NOT want to approach a sleeping dragon. Wasn't this DISTINCTLY against the school motto?

"WAIT WHAT?" Tobi demanded of his formerly cool now crazy history professor. "What do you MEAN PROBABLY? PROBABLY won't wake up?"

PROBABLY ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH SIR!!!! Probably don't feed the Puffskein SIR!! - Okay, no, Breathe Avalon. Do not give into baser instincts. Rage and Terror are not your friends. Ohm. For the Love of All That Is Edible OHM!

"Yes, sir," Copernicus moved around to stand next to the Headmaster. "I can hold those containers for you, sir, so you can keep your hands free."

He knelt to sort out the straps, laying them out in straight lines, each parallel to the one next to him. Nothing like mindless busy work to take your mind off the enormous venomous dragon.

Herminny turnesd toward Lucy and said in a low whisper only Lucy could hear, "Dang, thats what happened", thinking Professor Lupa has completely lost her marbles. Huh? She looked up. Weren't Headmasters supposed to discuss their own staff away from the students? Like on their office? Or something like that?

"What?" she said, taking her hand away. But he didn't mention anything else! What was she supposed to do with that information....it was OBVIOUS that there was something wrong with them, the way they've been behaving and such...the only one she could say was behaving nicely was Prof. Kazimeriz...

Oh, she hoped he will never behave oddly.

What. The. Dragon?!

Are you KIDDING me?! Touch it?! Stand that close...

"Shouldn't wake up? That sounds quite... ominous..." Jake said nervously, stepping forward and biting his lip. And seriously... touch the thing... and how ironic, on it's stomach... well... its side... but that was close enough.

How long 'til I end up in there?

Still, Jake reached out a trembling hand and placed it on the Dragon's side, feeling the motion of breathing. If he closed his eye, he might be able to kid himself that it wasn't a dragon.

Two things wrong with that idea. 1. It was a DRAGON... he knew that already. 2. It was a DRAGON... you do NOT close your eyes around dragons...

Still, he couldn't help but remember the last time he encountered a sleeping dragon. It was a painted one, and it had blown fire at Jake (strange)... would that happen now? He remembered the school's motto.

Should he tickle it?

"Thanks. I could use hand once you're done sorting the straps. There are quite a few of these containers here."

"If the professor says it probably won't wake up, then you should be fine." 'Should' being the operative word, there. "It's not like me telling you what my potions will probably do or anything." Whoops! She glanced to the professors and was glad she didn't see any of the students that she had experimented on amongst them.

After having successfully managed to get away from the woman and her evil potions of doom (even though they were supposed to make him feel better, but SHH! No one needs to know that), Constantine headed off to what looked like a nice wooded area. With trees. Big trees. Strong trees! Not the wimpy kind that broke when they were climbed, geeeez.

OH! People! Constantine paused and squinted, trying to get a better look at the crowd.

EEP! Adults!

Not really knowing what to do, Neo did a stop, drop, and roll into the grass and (so he thought) hid. "I knew it! They're trying to get information out of the other kids...diabolically ingenious," he admitted with a small shrug. He really needed to stop hanging out with his father so much, watching those James...something movies.

Keeping his head low, he watched the crowd, truly believing that he was hidden completely in the grass.

She looked up at Professor Bunbury. She giggled and shook her head. That was funny. "Do you want a lollipop?" She asked her trying to make her feel better. She didn't want her upset even if she couldn't stand the Pink Punisher.

She wanted to reach out and snatch Jake and keep him warm and safe, but she didn't. "Don't tickle that dragon Jake," She said knowing what he was thinking. Didn't he learn his lesson the first time.

Herminny tapped Lucy on the shoulder and asked in an almost whisper, "Who's that pointong at the grass where someone seemed to be doing a not so good jood job of hiding themselves.

Right. Her hand was back on the dragon. And she watched Jake do the same. Good. He was a very sweet little fierce Huffie boy. Awww...so cute.

And the dragon was also cute.

Kaika looked up again when she heard a THUD...and narrowed her eyes to get a better view..."Isn't that...Mr. Masteron?" she was either hallucinating or he was actually there, hidden. But what a silly thing to do...

She didn't pay much attention, though, keeping track of the sleeping dragon was a task that required her full attention, right?

And she was also keeping an eye for Jake...because no one really cares about a Ravenclaw.

"It won't likely wake up completely, but it is always important to be cautious." Ethan explained. "That's exactly right, feel her breathing? If you feel anything odd, a rumble or anything let me know." He looked at Jake, "You too alright? This is very important okay? I trust both of you." He added, in a tone that made it clear they could trust him too.

Ethan sighed in relief, it made a huge difference knowing there was another relatively normal staff member present, sorta evened it out and all.

Ethan mentally compared this Bunbury to the one he had met in Diagon Alley after inadvertantly causing her to spill icecream on her shoes. Prada heels, he recalled. But now? The headmaster was right, something was wrong.

"As in, as long as everyone pays attention and does what they are told, nothing will go wrong." Ethan couldn't help but shoot a glance at Less and Annie as he spoke. "Tobi, I need you to take this potion." he thrust the flask into the 7th year's hands, "If you hear Kaika and Jake saying the dragon is stirring, or if you notice anything yourself, you need to put your hand in the dragon's mouth and pour a dram down its throat. Watch out for those fangs." Ethan nodded as if it were an every day occurance to tell someone to put their hand in a dragon's mouth. "There are some gloves in the bag down there."


"Excellent, Copernicus. Thank you. Be sure to stand to one side of the head."

On with it then.

Ethan made his way to the head of the dragon and began to speak to the class, "This dragon has two sets of fangs." he picked up one of the leather straps and carefully opened the dragon's mouth and thread it around behind the fangs, looping it around the lower jaw and fastening it to the dragon's front legs to hold the jaw open. He took the other straps and secured them also.

"We are going to harvest the venom from both sets." He took his wand and carefully unfolded one of the larger fangs, "This is one of the moveable pipe grooved fangs, see how they immediately unfold as the jaw is opened wider?" Ethan hooked one of the straps with his free hand, causing the dragon's mouth to open slightly. "And see how it can move on its own, seperate from the other?"

Still holding the fang out with his wand, he gestured for bontecou to hold the container right underneath the tip. "When the venom comes out, it will be fast." he warned, "You need to change containers pretty quickly. These containers are made so the fang will puncture it, then we have a second lid to close over the top and seal it." he explaned to everyone.

"You leave him out of this!!!" She cried. What did he mean not just like him! He thought he was better than her!

She cuddled into her best friend and cried into her shoulder, "He's so mean... he's evil mean! I just wanted to touch the Dragon..." She said... "Maybe tickle him..."

"YEAH!!! Meanyheads!" She repeated.

Feeling very tempted to whine at Paris about how much he soooooooo wanted to do this, Jake kept his trap shut for once. But the fingers on his free hand twitched, so he had to screw up his face and grasp the back of his robes to stop temptation.

Soooooo distracting... too much... shut uuuuuuup! Jake thought, keeping his gaze firmly on the dragon and absolutely NOWHERE else...

Ooh a butterfl-

FOCUS!

Smiling up at Professor Truebridge for the briefest of moments, Jake nodded. "I'm... okay..." he said, biting on his lip. Hold on, waiiiiiiiiit... I'm trusted? Dude... I trust you too, man! GROUP HUG!

Erm... no.

With a last smile, Jake decided he really should focus right now.

Hmmm... funny word, should... Often pops up around dragons...
