| | |  CoMC Lesson 3 :: Dragons! - In the forest
Walking forward up the small hill and watching her step carefully, the professor led her class just on the edge of the Forbidden Forest. Here Professor Truebridge stands next to a Peruvian Vipertooth, clearly in a magically induced sleep. 10 feet away more benches have been set up in a semi-circle around them.
Stepping closer, Professor Morgan gasps quietly at the strikingly, beautiful copper-colored dragon, a little over eight feet long. "Everyone take a seat and keep quiet. I want each of you to take out some parchment and sketch the dragon. If you'd like, go ahead and label the parts for future reference. When you're finished, hold up your drawings for us to see."

Bunbunz almost tripped over her bare feet she was so excited to get closer. She hopplejumped over to Professor Morgan and Jake's bench and took a seat. Can we feed her?"
She didn't wanna just drawwww it, c'mon, that was borrrrrring. "Annie, relax." Ethan told her mildly, "I can always take you to visit the reserve at the end of term break if you like. You wanted to collect some rare plants in the area anyway if I recall correctly." He looked up from the dragon and shot a look at Iliana, getting more and more creeped out by the behaviour of their co-workers.
Making a decision, he flicked his wand and cast a dragon patronus, sending a message and possibly inadvertantly startling a few students in the process.
Ethan looked over at Jake and Iliana, frowning slightly. He didn't want the kid to have to leave, hopefully he'd get over his fear.

Kayla sighed as Jake refused to release his death grip on Professor Morgan, so she sat down on the other side of him hoping that he would calm down enough to appreciate the true wonder of what was in front of them. She would draw her picture later, right now she was too obsessed with just looking at the Vipertooth anyway.

This was surreal! This was the first time Miranda had seen a real live dragon. Who knew that going to Hogwarts meant studying dragons instead of some other muggle nonsense. Squeal!
She went and sat down at the semicircle along with the other students. In awe. And they had to draw a picture! Taking out a piece of parchment and her quill, Miranda began to doodle. The dragon looked so sweet, sleeping, while the students oogled at her. Awww. | |

He'd actually been on his way down to the grounds to see the dragons when the patronus arrived. That was a lucky thing because otherwise it may have taken him a day and a half to get there, but he'd already been in sight of the door to the outside world so, here he was just ten minutes later. Beautiful. But, he couldn't be distracted just now. "You rang, Truebridge?"

Ooooh...she wanted to go to Romania again, because...well...she gets to see a pretty awake dragon for sure, thanks to her uncle.
But, this was the school, of course they had to have the smaller, sleepy one. Still. It was a great sight. Because she loved dragons, didn't she? Plus, drawing can take a few things away from her mind.
Which is why she sat next to Miranda and took her parchment out. Time to begin the drawing...

He looked out at the professors bouncing amongst the students, clearly hyped up on sugar. "We can get started soon, the students are just sketching the dragon." Ethan nodded towards a spare spot by Iliana, hoping that the Headmaster would be able to observe certain unusual things.
Stroking the dragon gently, Ethan administered some more potion as the juvenile vipertooth stirred slightly under his fingertips.

She leaned over to Bunbury and whispered. "Would you like to see her breath fire? I bet if we stay very quiet... she just might." She hated to be deceitful, but at this point what choice did she have. Quote:

Leaning back into Jake's hold, Iliana squeezed his hand and began to rock him ever so slightly from side to side. She hummed a comforting tune softly, waiting to feel his body start to ease up. When she looked down, she was happy to see that he was relaxed enough to start sketching and whispered, "Everything's going to be fine, Jake." Quote:

Ugh. Ugh and ugh. Copernicus considered tossing out this parchment too, but... he wasn't sure it would get much better. He just wasn't an artist, not like little Cela who had made a dragon so scary he was a little frightened of whatever was going on in that little blond head of hers.
"Professor?" He held up his picture for evaluation to Professor Truebridge while eying the Headmaster speculatively. And what was this man doing here? Were all the professors invited? con: 5/5

Herminny noticed the dragon stir a little and she jumped a little from her seat and looked at Lucy and said, "you're telling me", and she felt a little on edge like something was up untill she saw the dragon drift back to snooze vil and she finally felt eased snough to continue her drawing and she took out her notebook again and did just that.

This was so exciting! Turning to Kaika, who had sat down besides her, Miranda gave her captain a big grin and wrote her name on the picture.
Professor Truebridge really did seem to know what he was doing. He was almost like a knight, standing beside the dragon. Only the dragon was not d... Ugh, she didn't want to think that word. No, the dragon was alive and asleep. It was very cute!
This would be a great moment if she had been able to eat a chocolate frog. Which reminded her. She needed to buy more! Miranda decided to write that down before she forgot.
Waking up from her thought's, Miranda turned her picture around so that the Professor would be able to see. "Professor," she raised her hand, "Is this allright?" Miranda hoped so and began to chew on her lip. Drawing was not one of her strongest points. con: 4/5

Herminny gave Lucy a sympathetic look, she really did not mean for her freind to almost loose points for talking to her during class, than Herminny continued back to her drawing.
