Freya raised her hand, knowing a couple of answers off the top of her head. "The hair of a unicorn is frequently used as a core in wandmaking because of it's special qualities." 'Wait. Was there some kind of wood that was not compatible with it? Oh well...' "And also, certain parts of a unicorn are used in potions, and even without being used in a potion some parts of a unicorn are thought to provide the one who consumed it or possess it with things such as health and fortune. Like with a lot of other animals that people think have mystical qualities, such as tigers." 'Mostly crazy people though in my opinion.' She put her hand down again and gazed at the creatures.

Miles raised his hand again, rather happy that he was doing well for Professor Morgan. Raaawr. "Unicorn hairs are used for wands, and are apparantely very good for wands."

"Ma'am," Tobi raised his hand and spoke, "hairs are used in wand making, and the horn of unicorns are used in potion making, but the blood can also be drank for its restorative properties, though it's so incredibly... well... wrong to do that to do so will curse a person for the rest of their life." Tobi thought about this.

"I wonder how anyone figured that part out. The part about being cursed and all. Because if it's so wrong to drink the blood of a unicorn, you would think people would never have cause to find out the part about getting cursed for doing it, they would just stay away on principle. Not to mention it doesn't seem all that appetizing..." Okay, so even at seventeen, Tobi was still a bit naive.

Herminny was a littlw hesitant to give an answer her classmates had given all the answers but she had a little some thing to add so she raised her hand and said, "Many people have mentoined wa use unicorn horn in potions which is correct but we don't use whole unicorn horn we use powdered unicorn horn. Also, Tobi mentioned that unicorn blood has restorative properties which t does to a truly astounding extent, it can restore a person an inch from death to be well again but it comes at a price cause unicorns are sacred creatures, if one drinks there blood to be restored and live longer that person lives a cursed life and thats what ya get for trying to cheat death and harm or even kill a precious unicorn in the process".

"Professor, I have a question about that," Copernicus raised his hand. "If killing a unicorn for its blood causes the one who consumes it to be cursed, is that true if you took the blood but did not consume it? Or if the unicorn died naturally? What is the curse exactly attached to? And why not the horn too, since you can't exactly remove a horn without harming a unicorn?"

To be perfectly honest, though Willow was not particularly enjoying having to hear all this talk about unicorns, she definitely prefer that to having to interact with them. That would be scary.

"Well, I know that the tail and and horn are used as ingredients for several potions, professor," said Willow, her hand in the air. "Also, wand makers use unicorn tail hairs for some wands."

Ana raised her hand "A unicorn's tail hair can be used as core for wands. I suppose that the horn and the hair can be used in potions. And like i said the blood can save someone from death but that person would live a half-life." Awful she thought

"I might be beating a dead horse in s- errrmm... I mean I might have already said this, but you can use the WHOLE unicorn for transportation. Well the big ones, anyway. Saddle one up and ride in style," Plymouth grinned.

Melanie looked very thoughtful at the next question, but she did know a bit from books... and when she had been in Diagon Alley and she had seen some stuff soooo why not guess?

"Um, okay. I think i saw unicorn something in the potions place at Diagon Alley so they may use it in that and well, I also believe that they're were some wand cores made of unicorn hair at Ollivanders." she said uncertainly as she raised her hand in the air.

Chris raised his hand "The unicorn's horn is used in potion making, and its hair is aslo very durable and can be expensive."

"Its hair can be used in wands and its blood can keep you alive" said Barry but he added " for a price"

Having previously zoned out and messaged a question or two, Anna perked back up and raised her hand. "Unicorn tail hairs are used to make wands, Professor. That must be really awesome to have a wand made of unicorn hair! I bet it's really sacred and special, too. The horns and tails of unicorns are used as potion ingredients, too, which I'm sort of confused about. How do we obtain the horns and tails? Unicorns are rare and are not easily caught. How is it that we have enough unicorn parts to successfully make these wands and potions?" Anna asked. "Oh, and Wizarding History tells us that dark wizards used the blood of unicorns to help them stay alive. Of course I wouldn't recommend that, though. Not only do you harm the unicorn, you also end up cursing yourself with a half-life. This is what happened to Voldemort."

"You guys sure seem to know your unicorns." She said, smiling at her students. "There are a few questions that I would like to address."
"Well Copernicus, the curse is attached to the act of harming or killing, something so pure and defenseless. It is the evilness of the act itself that brings the curse upon you, not the blood." She explained.
Professor Morgan sat on her stool again and looked over her class. "Tobi has an excellent question." She said. "Where did we learn about the qualities of unicorn blood?" She asked. "Anyone have an idea?"

Kayla raised her hand tentatively, "Wasn't it the centaurs that explained what the properties of unicorn blood is for?"

Anna raised her hand and said, "Professor, my father told me that Firenze, a centaur, once said that it is a monstrous thing to slay a unicorn. Supposedly, those who slay unicorns for their blood have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Firenze went on to say that the blood of a unicorn will keep a person alive, but that person must then pay a terrible price. As I said before, a person who drinks unicorn blood will be cursed with a half-life." Anna wrinkled her nose and shivered at the very thought. Who in their right mind would want to drink the blood of a unicorn? Who in their right mind would chose to cheat death?

"Those are wonderful answers girls, three points to you both." She said, throwing each of them a chocolate frog. Hmm, first girls of the lesson. It was about time.

"Okay class, I'm so very proud of you all. In fact, because you are doing so splendidly, I think the time has come to spend the rest of the lesson in the paddock with the unicorns." She said. "I have just a few instructions before we go. Most importantly, use caution. These unicorns are used to wizard interaction but they do not like to be teased or aggravated in anyway. They are magnificent creatures and are to be treated with great respect. If you act foolishly, you will be asked to leave the area immediately." She said.

"Also class, no wands are allowed around the creatures at any time. If you are having trouble at all, I expect you to call out my name and remain calm. If you see another student in trouble, back away and remain calm. Do NOT try to help. These unicorns are very gentle and need to be handled gently. There shouldn’t be any problems."

Then she stepped over to unlock the first stall and said, "If you're all ready, please line up against the wall while I lead the unicorns outside. We'll meet you there."

Herminny raised her hand cause she had an idea of how we human beings found out about the gains consequences of drinking unicorn blood so she said, "I believe we found out about the gains and consequences of drinking unicorn blood from the centaurs and the cons definately out weigh the pros on this, and like Anna said who in there right mind would want to cheat death".

Herminny then pondered a certain question and asked, "What would happen if a person drank unicorn blood but did not harm the unicorn themselves, cause you said it's the act of harming or killing a unicorn that curses a persons life?"
