Heading down to the grounds you see what looks like the setting for a nice picnic. Lined along the shade trees are several wooden benches. Professor Morgan is standing nearby. She smiles as you approach and says, "Good morning everyone. Please take a seat, class will begin shortly."

Helena laughed at the students reactions to the mention of Quidditch, and she was fairly sure that she knew where this lesson was headed - sure enough, everyone was soon saying golden snidget to the professor. She chose to keep her mouth shut though. It would like she was copying what everyone else was saying.

"It was a bird, by the name of the Golden Snidget. It was golden and very much like the golden snitch, it where the snitch was designed from. But because they soon became a rare bird, it was banned to be used in quiditch and so the snitch was used instead" said Barry, that ought to get him a few points.

Raising her hand Nancy answered the professor's question, "A bird, called the Golden Snidget, was used before the invention of the Snitch."

Tobi raised his hand, now this was a subject he knew, "it was the Golden Snidget, introduced to the game in 1269 by Barberus Bragge, more or less for the fun of seeing a bunch of quidditch players stop what they were doing and chase a Snidget around a pitch, because he offered them 150 galleons - starting the tradition of making the Snidget and later the snitch, worth 150 points"

Evangeline gave her eyes a little roll before raising her hand. "That'd be the Golden Snidget, Ma'am." She replied. SEE! Proof Quidditch was stupid: it almost sent an innocent bird to complete extinction.

Helena raised her hand, just to get the points for Slytherin. Last she saw, they were down. It was the Golden Snidget - a small golden bird. She grimaced slightly and returned her hand to her side.

Emiliano raised his hand, he knew that one. In Durmstrang, even though he didn't care about Quidditch he had to read parts of booklets about it. "I do believe it was the Golden Snidget, Professor..." He said and lowered his hand in a second.

“Snidget hunting was popular back then, so the guy named Barbeus Bragge brought a snidget to a game, and pretty much let it loose and was like catch it and they would get 150 galleons. Evntually it changed into you got 150 points though.” she said.

Anna raised her hand once again. "At the time, people enjoyed snidget hunting. A man by the name of Barbeus Bragge brought a snidget to a Quidditch game and let it loose for the players to catch. At first, you were awarded 150 galleons for catching it. Now-a-days, you are awarded 150 points," she said.

And a guy called Chief Barberus Bragge, released the first Snidget in a game of Quidditch, he actually offered 150 Galleons to the first player who caught it. This convinced Modesty Rabnott to release the bird in a game."
