Tobi was soooo not off the hook on this one; once something like that caught Hannah's attention, she did NOT drop it. Good luck, man, he thought after Tobi's attempt to change the subject.

Iliana walked through listening to the students, quite pleased with their efforts. She made her way over to the Gryffindor girls and knelt down beside them. "Thank you both so much for taking such good care of my Vincent. Five points for each of you." She said. "I do believe it’s this little guy’s nap time now." She said, standing up and whistling again. Within an instant, he was back on her shoulder.
"Alright class. You have all done very well. I’ve written down your ideas on the board here for all of you to see. If I’ve missed any please let me know."

That was a mouthful. Cam eyed Jake and nodded when mentioning that centaur was indeed a being since they had the intelligence and knew about the laws and such. But they're still magical creatures since of their... horse ends, right? Honestly he didn't know and he was too lazy to get that Fantastic Beats book out of his bag which was probably only a few feet away.
Now from Jake to Karma, he kept nodding his head every time she said something. She had a reaaaally good point. But just before he could speak, the professor had gotten all of their attention.
Okaaaay.

Sarah sat thinking,by herself,about what sort of things could be done to help the magical creatures.Oddly enough most of what she came up with,and wrote down,was the same as everyone else.
Looking up she saw that Professor Morgan had written them all on the board,so she copied down the ones she didn't have already.
Questions? Did she have any questions? Oh yeah I guess...

Varius muttered, not necessarily in response to Copernicus or the conversation his question had brought up, mostly to himself, "All it takes is a look at what that Leiden woman did or what Minister Cooper and his 'fabulous' bride managed to turn Hogwarts into... that was a school, those people are in charge of running our country..." Wow. Who knew Varius could have such a serious opinion? "However, I have heard that the trolley lady on the third floor of the Ministry does the most amazing cupcakes"... maybe not?

The Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures is in place for this very reason. But there are always other steps that can be taken to help. Instead you will participate in a term-long assignment that will be both fun and exciting." She said. Your assignment will be to keep a journal of your creatures’ progress to be turned into me at the end of the term. This assignment is optional but will be for your final grade. Ooooh. That sounded pretty cool! Clifford wasn't the biggest fan of animals, but this sounded okay. If the creature lived in a Magical Creatures Nursery that meant he wouldn't have to look after it 24/7, and that suited him perfectly. Hehe. He didn have Orion to take care of too, after all. And that little owl took up lots of his attention. Spoiled little thing.
"I'd like to take part in this, Professor." The Prefect grinned, hand in the air.
