Jake looked up and noted down the homework, telling himself he WOULD do it, or he would purposely shove Jack Mosier so Jake could get a nice shock. Quickly scribbling it down so he could hardly read it, Jake grabbed his bag.

"Thanksforthelessonma'amnicetoseeyou,haveagoodday, " he babbled and made a quick getaway, before the other Hufflepuff first years could get to him

Barry wrote down the homework got up said to the Professer"Nice seeing ya" and then left, after Jake for some unknown reason.

Cale quickly jotted down the homework. "Bye professor! Great lesson," he said with a grin. He packed up his books in his bag and stuffed the parchment with his homework assignment in his bag as well before hurrying out of the classroom.

Oh yes,looking after a baby creature would be great. "Count me in Professor! I think I'll call it Rose if it's a girl or Rex if it's a boy." Yes that is what she would do.Then remembering she had no experiance of handling magical creatures she asked... "It won't be something dangerous will it Ma'am?"
While waiting for a reply she wrote down the homework and stuffed her things into her bag ready to leave.

Perking up at soon as she heard the word homework, the Ravenclaw captain quickly wrote down her stuff, gathered her belongings quickly, from her bench as she muttered a quick goodbye to Tobi, Hannah and Zeke.

"Have a nice day, Professor Morgan. I will see you later." That said, the girl made her way back to the castle, and frowning at all the ants she could see running around the dirt that was on the grass.

Yes, you are sure going to see her later, seeing that you will be spending time with an animal the entire term. You are stupid mouth. Or hand, rather, seeing that you raised it. The little voice inside her head hissed.

We both will, so be quiet now.

There was long moments of deliberation about the optional assignment. Helios was intrigued, but usually liked to keep his head down. Not knowing what he would care for was intriguing though.

"I would like to participate." The Greek boy announced proudly, one hand raised among a sea of others. Inwardly he hoped for something with teeth.

Ray raised his hand. He was sure going to be assigned on that homework. "I too would like to participate" Ray said to the professor.

Kayla wrote down the homework and then raised her hand. "I would like to participate in the assignment too Professor."

Ana raised her hand "I would like to participate, professor" she said enthusiastically

Mackenzie wrote down her homework and patientally waited for the class to be dismissed. She couldn't wait to go visit her creature.

"Where do we actually go to take care of our creatures?" asked Set.

Melanie's hand shot up in the air. It was like a dream come true! She was practically bouncing up and down in her seat... she had to remind herself not to actually do this.

Melanie reached out for a cookie eagerly. She definitely liked this teacher. Cookies in class?! simply awesome

However Melanie was a bit disappointed with her own creativity. She couldn't think of a single thing to call the mysterious creature she would be receiving. "Chip... Oatie." she said her thoughts wandering aimlessly. Melanie laid the cookie down on her desk. The whole "brain food" thing was clearly not working.

She decided it would be much easier if she knew what kind of animal it was. Hopefully not a bird. She had a cat and from past experience the girl had learned: Birds and cats most definitely don't match. Period.

And then the class ended. Melanie scribbled the homework on her hand, which had become her personal message board lately, and walked out of the classroom area. "Thanks for a great lesson professor." she said cheerfully on her way out. She watched Jake hightail it out of there and raised an eyebrow. What was that all about?

Cam went as fast as he can back to his chair when the homework appeared on the board. With his quill he started to copy the instructions veeery slowly and delicately just so it wouldn't ruin. He immediately put the parchment and everything else into his bag. Who knows what could just happen, maybe something might just fall out from the sky and land on his parchment, eh?! Everyone had raised his hands but he didn't know why. Oh gee, he didn't listen!

From the sound of their voices though, he could guess that it was fun and all so what the heck? He raised his hand high in the air and yelled loud in the air. "MEE, PROFESSOR, MEEEEE!" Ooh, he got a cookie too. And she said to think up of some name. One second, doneeee! It was a really cooool name too.

"BUH-BYE PROFESSAH MORGAN!" He packed his things and left the benches.

Cela raised her hand to volunteer to look after a baby creature, "Yes please professor!"

She wrote down the homework and collected her things before thanking the professor and heading off to start her homework.

Raising her hand, Liz says "After thinking about it a little, I really would like to have a baby creature, if I could, please."

Hesitating a little, "Though I really don't like the flobberworms, if I could get something else, I would appreciate it." she says finishing, feeling bad, because all creatures need help, regardless of what they are.

"I think I'll name it Padfoot" she said

As the professor called for people to take care of a baby magical creature, his hand would be raising up in the air, but Emiliano knew the consequences and responsibility it took, something he wouldn't be able to keep up with at the moment. So, he just smiled at his classmates around, starting to name their little baby creatures and getting excited over them. He got his things ready to walk outside the class.
