Lizzie rolled her eyes, a bit more playful again. You look serious.. did you see a ghos... I mean, maybe a spider? she teased, then shrugged a bit as her grip around her knees tightened and she anxiously glanced at the ceiling for a second. At the first flying lesson last year I.. She swallowed, pushing the memory away as she smiled sheepishly and said I'm terrified of heights. I nearly passed out and fell off my broom. Luckily I was saved by some nice people and friends, but you won't ever see me near a broom again... Hesitating for a second she addded Or I did fly with Chris on his new broom this summer. But once I was back on the ground I kinda passed out anyway she giggled.

"Wow, passing out has become quite a habit with you," he said, giving her playful nudge. "So flying's your worst nightmare..." He looked at her, "Can you keep a secret?" he asked, with a small smile. Without waiting for an answer, he continued, knowing that she wouldn't tell anybody anyway. She was Lizzie, and Lizzie didn't go blabbing. "I don't exactly like heights either...but don't tell anybody," he said with a grin, "I have a rep to keep up," he said jokingly.

Lizzie giggled as Jesse's serious face turning into a grin. You? Afraid of flying? She shook her head in amusement for a second, then said Jesse Highmore, you're full of surprises..! She laughing stopped, her face showing that she knew what he talked about, and she added Hey could you help me with something.. I mean, you're a guy and.. well... I can talk to you and.. she stretched her legs for a moment, thinking how to say this, and then curled up as a ball, still sitting, with her arms wrapped around her knees again. How do guys think? Do you seriously have a brain at all? she asked, half amused, half serious.

"Yup, that's me, the suprise king, although I always used to be teased for it," he said, leaning his head back against the wall.

"Brains?" Jesse said, a small laugh escaping his lips, "Well, I'm afraid the answer to that question is debateable. It depends what type of guy you're talking about I guess. I mean, there's guys like me which almsot certainly have a brain," he said, with a jokey wink, "And then there's guys like...well, y'know. Jerk guys, who don't have no brain, whatsoever. WHy'd you ask anyway?" he asked curiously.

Lizzie shrugged slightly and smiled. I dunno, I just.. I mean, I haven't spoken to Chris like forever and I.. she swallowed, forcing the words to leave her lips I feel like he's avoiding me, sorta... She watched her hands move around each other. I haven't spoken to him in weeks, and i just dunno what.. She lowered her head and sighed. I have to talk to him...

Jess watched her curiously, his expression full of understanding. He shrugged and leant back against the wall, "Maybe he's just a bit busy at the moment, caught up with homework and all. I mean, he wouldn't be avoiding you, who would?" he said with a small smile. The talk. His sisters had told him a lot out The Talk. He doubted it was what Lizzie meant, but it could be. He kept his gaze away from her's; his eyes were too searching and he didn't want to invade her privacy.

Chris walked into the unused classroom and saw that lizzie and Jesse were in there. "Hey guys what's up?" he patted Jesse on the back friendly and gave Lizzie a hug.

Lizzie shrugged again, saying Yeah I suppose so. I just.. I mean, I can talk to you about this.. we spent a lot of time together in the beginning of this term, and now I haven't even seen him for weeks! Shaking her head to get rid of the subject she smiled a bit and said Sorry I have to hand all my worries on to you Jesse, didn't mean to. Just.. you're an easy person to talk to she grinned.

At the same second Lizzie heard the familiar voice of Chris entering, and her face lit up a bit as she hugged him back. Hi Chris! she said happily, giving Jesse a look that said Didn't see that one coming with a smile.

Chris smiled and was so happy to see lizzie it had truley be forever. He kissed her on the cheek. "Sorry i have been away so much. Just classes and been weighed down with homework all the time. The past couple of day i have just woke up and stayed in the library all day and only left for classes. I havent eaten at all today." he laughed

Lizzie's eyes widened. Not at all? Geez Chris aren't you hungry? she asked. She couldn't stop smiling now that she was finally talking to him again. Leaning her head on his shoulder she said I missed having you around... and smiled.

"Yep nothing to eat for me since yesterday morning. But don't worry for me i will definately be pigging out tonight at dinner." he smiled his bright smile to her. He was the happiest he had been over the last couple of days, now that he is here with Lizzie. "I've missed being with you too."

Aww Lizzie said with a wide smile, thankful for Chris turning up before she got all messed up over not seeing him for so long. She glanced at Jesse and grinned, then she sighed happily. But you definately need too.. She stopped all of a sudden. I don't mean to sound like your mum.. she giggled. But you really need to eat. Good thing you've got me and my mom's chocolate cookies... she laughed.

"Chris, long time no see," Jesse said with a small grin, as Lizzie's boyfriend appeared. He watched as he hugged her, then pulled a chocolate frog from his pocket and took a bite, his eyes fixed on the floor as Ollie, his red pygmy puff, appeared on his shoulder with a loud, high-pitched squeak.

He would of replied, saying how he didn't mind that he was lugged with all her worries, and that he liked to help her out when times were tough, but he couldn't, Chris would've wondered what they were talking about and he was sure Lizzie wouldn't exactly appreciate that, so he returned her smile and gave her a knowing wink.

Amy stood frozen watching Jake as they spoke to one another. When Jake mentioned about Brenden and her lossing contact and asked if that was why they was not together anymore Amy felt her patience running short. No, she felt like screaming as she thought to herself, he just up and left no word no anything beside a bracelet he gave me the day before he left. As Amy stood wondering if she should tell Jake, she bit against her bottom lip as she decided against the idea of telling him. If he knows we did even really break up- oh my gosh, she thought. After wetting her lips she spoke in a solemn tone to Jake. “Not exactly,” she began as he continued on. “Ye we did,” she agreed waiting for whatever he would say next. “Yes we are,” she agreed once more.

Amy sighed more to herself as she thought; why did I even bring this up. Then as Jake said he didn’t know she had a broken heart she had to fight back a laugh. “Well I would have hoped you didn’t know because if it was that obvious then I would have been in worse trouble then I was,” she said with a smile that faded as quickly as it had came when she looked at Jake and could see he was not happy or was conflicted. “Jake the reason I didn’t tell you then was because I didn’t think it was important and also I didn’t want you to think I was on the rebound,” she said as she could feel the frustration growing in her voice. After taking a deep calming breath she added, “Yes you did and I am grateful for it.”

After a few moment of silence Amy almost jumped when she heard Jake breath her name. “Yes,” she said looking at Jake and hoping to meet his gaze. When he said never mind Amy felt a lump that had been growing in her stomach raise to her throat. Though Jake took Amy’s hand with a small smile she could feel the uneasiness still roaming. With a deep breath Amy took a firmer grip on Jakes hand and pushed. Knowing she would not have budged him unless he was caught off guard she moved quickly as she pushed him back against a door. Reaching down she turned the knob pushing him inside the empty classrooms. “Now,” she said standing in front of the door as she turned to close it. When she turned back to him she fought to hold her face to show no expression. “We are not leaving this room until you talk to me,” she said firmly.

Jake was taken by surprice when he felt Amy push him into a classroom and closing the door. He looked at her for a second not sure of what to say. After the shock wore off he sighed " really Amy it's ok, what happened between that guy and you is none of my business". Jake didn't want to argue about this anymore, what was the point in that. " I'm sorry that I got like that but I can't help it I mean if he just left you like, he could always come back" he reached out and took both her hands in his " I don't want to lose you, just like you didn't want to with Ashton" he rubbed her hands with hi thumbs and looked down at there hands " would you... would you go back if he came?" he asked her lifting his head to meet her eyes.

Amy stood looking at Jake while he spoke. Not only did she feel upset and frustrated she felt uneasy. As she stood in silence waiting and taking in everything Jake was telling her she remained emotionless until Jake asked if she would take Brenden back. As she blinked she could tell the shock was clear on her face. Then as Jakes loving blue eyes meet hers she felt a tear weld up in the corner of her eye. “Jake,” she said looking down at there hands. “I want to be able to talk to you about everything and I want you to feel the same way.” Looking back up to his eyes with the pledge clear in them as crystal she asked, “Please, please. Please promise me that you will start telling me what your thinking and ask anything that your wondering.” Removing her glance back down to their hands Amy sucked in a deep breath before continuing. “No Jake. No I don’t want him back and I never will. He hurt me badly, but that is not the only reason……you’re my only reason. Believe that and know that.”

Jake nodded his head " I promise to tell you want I'm thinking, but you have to remember that I'm not the best at that so it might take me a few tries". Jake listen to everything she was saying, he showed no emotions on his face but he was sure his eyes were giving them away. Jake felt himself smile when she said that he's the reason that she wouldn't go back, he knew that of it ever came to that he wouldn't just let her go. He let go of one of her hand and used it to lift her face so that she was looking into his eyes. " Amy I love you" he whispered to her " and I'm sorry that guy hurt you so bad" mimicing her earlier action he placed her hand on his heart letting her feel it beat " see you make it do that" he told her with a warm smile. " I let me jealousy get to me and I'm sorry for that"

Amy allowed Jake to lift her head so that their eyes meet and she smiled as the beat of his heart thumped against her palm. Taking a step closer she wrapped her free arm around him while leaving her hand to rest against his chest right where his heart was located. After placing the side of her face against his chest she spoke softly to him. “Like I said earlier, no one is perfect and no relationship is either. But I love you to Jake and thank you for promising. I think we both had a bit to talk about to each other day in the line of jealousy.” As she took a deep breath breathing in his scent she felt the tear that had welded in the corner of her eye slip down her check and as an after thought she added, “Jake I am sorry I didn’t tell you about it before. I was just that it was never brought up and I never thought it was that important.”

Jake wrapped his free free hand around Amy holding her close as she rested her head on his chest "yeah your right no relationship is, so much for no more fighting" he said with a small chuckle. Jake held her close, his heart beating under her hand and her face, he took a deep breath. His head was starting to hurt with all the stuff that went on today. He was brought back from his thoughts when he heard Amy talk again. "its ok, you didnt have to tell me and you're right I shouldnt have made it such a big deal, I mean we both have our past, but thats behind us now" he told her, because it was true he had dated one girl before Amy but it wasnt a strong relationship, honestly he had forgotten about it. Jake tighten his hold on her just a bit feeling the warmth that was coming off her body. " but like I said last time, the making up isnt so bad" he bent down and place a soft kiss on her head.

Nodding her head slightly in agreement Amy added, “Your right the make up is nice.” She snuggled closer into Jakes chest keeping her head turned to the side so her voice was not muffled. “But I don’t want this to be an everyday kind of thing,” she teased in a joking tone.

Lizzie smiled back at Jesse, hopeing he'd understand that she didn't mean to stop their conversation. She was just happy to see Chris again. Hey Jesse she said suddenly. You don't happen to have one more of those chocolate frogs...? She smiled innocently and winked, then laughed a bit adding You know I have a weakness for chocolate..

Jesse looked up, an amused grin on his face, "You know me, Lizzie. I always have a chocolate frog or two somewhere in my pockets. And don't worry, they're fresh," he said with a comical wink, reaching into his pocket. A second later, he pulled out another chocolate frog and handed it to her, a small smile on his face, "See, what did I say?" He grinned, and took another bite of his own.

Aww you're the best Lizzie said with a bright smile, taking a bite of the frog as she mouthed Thanks. Chocolate was one of her weaknesses, but luckily there was always someone with chocolate frogs around...

Hey, tell me a bit more about your home she asked Jesse between two bites, adding Pleeease? with a little smile.

Jesse leant his head back against the wall, and looked at her without turning his head. "You really wanna know? Ok, well, it's surrounded by grassland, fields and flowers. Everywhere you look is either green, yellow or purple, except in one direction where you can see the a thin strip of bright blue which is in fact the sea. There's a barn, fields of corn, sheep cows, chickens, horses and ducks, and a stables, as well as a pond, and our farmhouse. It's pretty small, my house, but I don't spend much time there anyways. I normally sleep in the barn. I know, it sounds disgusting, but I sleep up on a higher level. It's like a little attic that I've decided to call my own. It looks down on the farm, you can see everything from up there from a large glass window that takes up one wall.
"It's a twenty minute horse-ride from the beach, and no where near any civilisation. It can get pretty lonely," He paused before continuing, "And there's no chocolate frogs," he said with a jokey frown. He grinned at her, and finished off his chocolate frog.

Lizzie rolled her eyes in jokey-horror. No chocolate frogs? How do you survive?! She giggled and thought for a moment. That does sound very nice. I've never been to a real farm. My mum's afraid of wild animals and she consider cows to be wild... Giving Jesse a meaningful glance she smiled and ate another bite of the chocolate frog. Did you say you have horses? she asked curiously, yet a little bit careful in her tone. Do you go horseback riding a lot?
