Jake raised his hand. "Sir, if you need any help, with cursing Plymouth," he began. "Ya know, if we do it some more, I'd like to try... I mean, I may not know the worse ones, but I know the body-bind or the leg-locker, and I'd do it with feeling..." Jake trailed off, wishing- WISHING that he had volunteered earlier. He wouldn't stoop to pleeding, because that made him look pathetic. "I could even be a target..."

Mmmmm... though he was rather scary. "Of course," he mumbled awkwardly. "If you got your volunteers, then don't mind me..."

Ruby sat there and looked at the Professor she knew she would have to have a go soon but she was waiting as long as possible, she was keeping notes and watching the demonstrations.

Camira just sat there and watched. Normally she would've volunteered, but she was a bit sick of these amateur curses and whatnot, if truth be told. Now, if the professor wanted to demonstrate an unforgivable on someone, barring the killing curse of course, or something equally exciting, then she'd volunteer. For now, she just grabbed her quill in preparation for note-taking and waited.

Alarmed by the sudden mention of her name, Bonnie looked up and immediatley closed her book. Whilst slowly rising from her chair with an apprehensive look on her face she stammered, "I-I'm sorry, Sir. I didn't mean to be rude or anything but I was just reading more into what you were saying. That's all" and she left it at that. She greatly admired her Professor and didn't want to cause anymore harm than good. Bonnie took her place at the front of the class, wondering what was in store...

Miranda gulped. "Yes, sir, Miranda Morgan, sir." So much for willing herself invisible. She walked to the front of the room, looking more nervous by the second. She's already dealt with bat bogeys and backwards knees today...her mind ran through all the curses she knew about.

Ludo watched as one by one, Professor Kazimeriz called students to the front. He payed attention, but found himself looking at the students rather than the Professor. This seemed to be his "Avoidace of getting called on" technique. But would it work?

"Thank you for volunteering. Please step forward. You will, however, not be cursing but rather blocking curses." He smiled at the boy. With feeling, indeed.


"Miss Morgan. You will be casting the body-bind curse on Upstead. Upstead, I suspect you can block a first-year's curse, can't you?" He raised an eyebrow and turned to another student.

"Toussaint, you are to cast against Kettleburn. I think a simple curse of the bogies is in order. Morgan- you are to cast against Toussaint... and prevent her from attacking Kettleburn." Kazimeriz loved it when a plan came together. Especially impeded by his still-active babbling curse, would Morgan be able to stop Toussaint from cursing his stepbrother? They were about to find out... At the very least, it would be a good demonstration of the need for focus and intent in cursing.

William had sat quietly in his chair, back straight and paying as much attention sa he could. It was only when his fellow Ravenclaw students went up to the front that he began breathing heavier. His eyes widened as meanie-pants suggested practicing curses on the two. What kind of professor was this he mused brow furrowing as he winced in sympathy as a babbling curse was shot at Plymouth, and he began babbling incessantly.

Keeping his mouth glued shut he gulped, wondering what else would happen in this class. He was seriously starting to re-think his career choice. Suddenly, the professor was telling students to curse other students while the poor victims had to block the curses from hitting them. How was poor Plymouth supposed to do that while he was still under the babbling curse? He looked on, slightly expectant, secretly rooting to him.

Jake's eyes widened in happiness. So he couldn't curse, but that had seemed unlikely anyway. "Yes, of course sir," he smiled, but nodded seriously, pulling out his wand. He'd got a smile from the guy, but he wasn't sure if he should be scared or not... was a smile from Professor Kazimeriz good? Well, he'd find out. "Thank you!"

He didn't mind this one bit, until he saw who would be cursing him. Bloody hell... It was the Slytherin first year from the 4th floor corridor. "Yes sir, I managed it earlier..." he nodded, gulping a little. Not good, she'd be doing this with feeling...

Trying not to feel deterred, Jake made his way up to the front, warily eyeing the three older students, as well as the girl, Miranda? He suddenly felt very paranoid... what if Kazimeriz got someone to get him from behind?

Abby didn't say a word to the professor. She couldn't trust what would come out of her mouth right now. No one had ever questioned he spell ability. It was obvious Professor Kazimeriz had done something to her spell. She makes her way to the front of the class and hold her wand out in front of her. Abby hopes the Professor will let her have a chance to curse him.

Tobi perked up, he regarded Cela as the little sister he'd never had, so of course he was a little worried Plymout being instructed to curse her. She could probably handle it, in any case, but he wasn't liking it, no sir.

Ludo put covered his mouth with his hand in concentration. He listened as Kazimeriz instructed one volunteer to perform a Bat-Bogey hex. This one was always unpleasant to watch..but somehow, one couldn't help but to look.

"WHOA NELLY. Wait. Wait let me and Copernicus switch? I can't cast against her! She's my GIRLFRIEND. She's a GIRL, Professor! My mother... she has some strict rules on how to treat girls, and I'm pretty sure that if she found out I hexed or cursed or jinxed or otherwise cast against a GIRL - she'd be meaner than you were about the earhair! You clearly have no regard for my health! Just use the Killing Curse on me, it'll be quicker!"

Plymouth started searching wildly for a "curse" to use against his GIRLFRIEND - who no doubt would have no issue casting against Copernicus. "Something with butterflies? Anyone know a curse with butterflies? Or bunnies? Or bananas? ANYTHING? Episkey.. .no... accio... no... Gemino curse? Heh... give the world lots of little Celandine's... that would be cute... I an NO where near talented enough for that one..." And Plymouth went on and on and on about all the spells he could do... or not do... or would like to do... or had heard about once.. babblebabblebabble.

Jack sat at the back of the class, sighing, he knew he wasn't going to get picked on, Kazimoaner was pretty boring, Jack rested his head on his hands and sighed again.

Ponessa could not help but scoff at Plymouth quietly. She almost rolled her eyes, too, but she had probably drawn some attention to herself with the noise of disgust. Setting her quill down, she leaned back, folding her arms. However, she had to giggle as she saw the effects of the babbling curse. Even if he had a thing about hurting girls.

As Jake waited apprehensively, he immediately regretted Professor Kazimeriz's decision to only have him blocking. Ohhh, if only Jake could jump up and grab him round the neck, the babbling idiot.

"Shut up, you," he snarled, angry fire burning in his eyes. "You wouldn't do that, we both know that. Get it? Got it? Good."

Pfft. These older kids, particularly the Ravenclaws, thought they were the law or something. He hoped Kazimeriz caught that last statement, so he knew what kind of a bully was around...

...Though he was kind of curious about this swirly thingummy.

Jake backed up a bit so no-one stood behind him and held his wand in front of him, facing Miranda.

Anna's jaw dropped when Plymouth began feeling the effects of the babbling curse. Well, this would be amusing to watch...and listen to. Did she pick him because she liked him, though? Well, sort of. He had been a really good friend to her since they'd met that day in Diagon Alley. He also sort-of, kind-of, used-to-be, maybe sort-of-still-is head over heels for her. That in itself deserved a bit of admiration for Plymouth, right? Right. Her eyes briefly widened and then she softly giggled at the little comment he made about her being pretty. Poor Plymouth. He really shouldn't be saying such things in front of his girlfriend. Cela would understand that he was just reacting to the babbling curse, though. When the babbling turned to Cale, who didn't seem to be around at the moment, Anna smiled at Plymouth and then turned to walk away. She'd done what the professor asked her to do, so for the moment, her work with Plymouth was done.

Anna raised her hand once again. "Professor, I'd like to volunteer to be cursed or curse another," she said, hoping she could get the chance to practice a bit more.

Copernicus twirled his wand with his fingers to limber up his casting hand and watched Plymouth work himself into a tizzy. "I have no problem switching with Plymouth, sir. I have no issues casting on Toussaint." He said it very solemnly... and then winked at Cela. Winking... also ill advised. Perhaps someone had already hit him with a Confundus.

Ruby sat there wide eyed she was not going to volenteer no way she thought she sat and decided to wait and see what happened to Jake......

Cela looked at Copernicus for a moment and back to Plymouth. "Professor am I allowed to defend myself? Is Cope?"

"You can do it Plym, I know you can." Celandine told him, her eyes shining. But she needed to focus her intent.

Cela looked at Copernicus again. Ooooh! She could pretend he was Nico... except... no that wouldn't work because as much as she liked the idea of cursing her absent brother, Copernicus was much prettier than Nico. And nicer. And smarter.

Hmmm.

Would Ravenclaw thank her if she didn't succeed?

Oooh! Maddox!

Celandine focused on Copernicus, gave him a little apologetic smile and directed all her frustration into her cast, firmly saying the incantation and precisely moving her wand.

"Kettleburn, if I wanted you to cast on Toussaint I would have assigned you the task. And Toussaint, you may defend yourself.. if you can simultaneously defend yourself and cast on Kettleburn. Morgan, you will curse Toussaint to protect your stepbrother." He glanced at Anna. "Pipe down, Greingoth, let other students have a chance. You will get another opportunity." He waited for the volunteer students to cast, watching with approval as Toussaint began.

Miranda looked at the student she was to curse, eyes wide. It was the Hufflepuff who turned her knees backwards and was all crazy in the hall...

Miranda watched him come up to the front, and though still nervous, something mischevious sparked in her eyes and a little twitch at the corner of her mouth. Maybe she COULD curse someone after all. What had the professor said about intent? She pulled her wand out slowly.

Miranda smiled sweetly at him, but her wand hand was trembling slightly.

"Petrificus Totalus!!" she said forcefully, aiming her wand with a flourish.

Copernicus shrugged and raised his wand, and it was just in time. It seemed like Cela didn't need any time at all to gather herself and curse him. He'd have to ask her about intent later. Did she really dislike him that much?

"Protego!" Copernicus cast a shield, letting the curse bounce harmlessly off toward the ceiling. No way he was going to get in trouble for casting at her again, and he didn't have anyone else to cast at. He nudged Plymouth to get casting. "Just bind her or give her jelly fingers," he whispered.

"Fine.. fine.... gosh. This is horrible though. Someone should.. you know... offer up a counter curse, don't you think? I mean, really, what chance do I have when I can't shut up for three seconds to cast a spell? Plus, it's not great mystery that Celandine is the best student in the WHOLE school."


Plymouth heaved a sigh, and then because of his babbling, told Celandine what he was about to do. "Okay, girlfriend, I'm about to cast on you. And I've got to use intent so that I don't lose points like that other girl did. So, be ready and stuff. I'm going... to... do... um..." And then Copernicus started nudging him.. "Aw man, shush up. I can't concentrate as it is without you hissing at me. Let me think. Okay. I just want to STOP this... Impedimenta!!!!" Plymouth tried. He DID want to stop this, so the intent was there. But... Plymouth... was still jabbering away....

Jack rolled his eyes, he was surely being ignored, he loved it, being left alone, all these people were seemingly bouncing at the opportunity to curse someone, or be cursed, they were mental. Jack was quiet, kept to himself.
