Maintain her shield charm she was suddenly pushed almost 1 meter. A spell had hilted, her shield broke but luckily protect her. She looked around and saw the girl who casted the spell and smile to her. She didn't look very comfortable with all that.

Then she heard the professor. It looked that it's her turn to attack. Looking and pointing the wand to the same girl she said "Impedimenta!" and saw the spell flying.

"Toussaint, ten points for cowardice. Unless you plan to marry Kettleburn and hide behind him for the rest of your existence, I suggest you [i]get out from behind him and show me you know how to cast a shield charm yourself." Kazimeriz narrowed his eyes at the blonde girl.

Anna made a slight face of annoyance at the fact that her curse hadn't actually hit Copernicus. Of course he'd blocked it..."Mr. I Take Duelling Lessons." Anna smirked and raised her eyebrows at Copernicus, clearly indicating that she was going for him once more. "Copernicus Kettleburn," she said, through gritted teeth. Noticing that he was busy trying to protect Cela, Anna quickly raised her wand, waved it and swished it properly, and then sent the babbling curse straight for Cope.

Anna eyed Tobi out of the corner of her eye. He was clearly aiming for Cela, but the problem was, the young Ravenclaw was hiding behind Copernicus. Maybe if Anna could manage to hit Copernicus with a curse, the Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs could get to Cela. Anna had a few curses in particular she'd like to gift her little friend with. Of course it was all just part of the assignment, but Cela and Copernicus had gotten Anna, so she just had to get them!

Camira noticed some Huffie throw a curse her way and quickly flicked her wand. "Protego", she said quickly, but clearly, smirking a bit as her shield blocked the curse. The girl was going to have to do a lot better than that if she hoped to hit her.

"WOOT!" Tobi hollered at Cela, "No where to hide now Cela!" He mentally blessed Scary Man and thew another Jelly Fingers Curse at CELANDINE.

He'd have his Revenge.

Tormenting me for the last hour! you're just like Carrie and Grandmamma!!!

Qaz was glad that she had done no harm and wasn't surprised when the young Huffie send a curse back her way. She easily protected herself with a shield charm, and smiled at the girl to let her know that there were no hard feelings.

Abby salutes the Slytherin for excellent shield charm. She then turns her attention to Celine who seems to be hiding behing Morgean too. Abby aims for Celines head and says "Impedimenta!" Let's see if she can perform a shield charm.

Copernicus threw up a shield and gave Anna a hard look that clearly said not THAT one. The spell hit the shield hard, evidence that it wasn't his best shield ever. At least it hadn't hit him, although he'd have to do better. He moved to the side to allow Cela to stand next to him. "Valiant effort, Cela."

Celandine cast another Protego so she couldn't be caught unawares, he eyes widening at the point loss "Excuse me sir but why not take advantage of opportunities that present themselves?" Cela gestures at Cope, Plym and Qaz; all of whom she'd dodged behind, "All due respect sir, I don't think I'm being a coward; it's smart to conserve energy while they," Cela gestured at the Hufflepuffs and Gryffindors, offering a few smiles at her friends, "exhaust themselves trying to cast strong curses while they are still thinking of revenge." She could totally see the word REVENGE in the eyes of the Gryffindors in particular. "Thats just what my brother taught me is all. In a real fight you have to take the advantages that are presented."

Nevertheless Cela bravely stepped out in front of her housemates and the Slytherins, wand at the ready to face down whatever the casters decided to send her way.

The curse from Tobi took out her shield and Cela immediately cast again, "Protego!" bouncing the curse from Abby off and taking her shield with it.

This was going to wear her out! She hoped they wouldn't all cast at once!

Darn. She'd missed him again. Anna glared at Copernicus, but softened her expression once she was able to read his. Ahhh, she got it now. That was one particular curse Cope just didn't want casted at him. Anna nodded once to show she understood, then raised her wand in his direction again, indicating that she was about to attempt hitting him with her best shot once again. With a swish and a flick (and an evil grin to go along with it), Anna sent the Sponge-Knees Curse in Copernicus' direction.

"Focus!" Kazimeriz coached. "You get out of it what you put into it. Weak minds and weak focus lead to weak spells. Focus!"

"In a real duel you would have received points for using every advantage, Toussaint. But this exercise is to learn how to block a curse, not how to duck and hide. Focus on your shield work, not on just not getting hit."

It was obvious that Celandine's brother was a Slytherin. It sure sounded like a war tactic that they use. Not that it was wrong or bad, it was clever and sneaky and effective to a certain degree. AH, seriously!

She didn't even know whether to attack Copernicus or Celandine. They were both relatively close, if she was lucky, she'd hit one and the hex would bounce off the other.

Declaring Copernicus a harmless man, considering he hadn't sent anything her way, Daphne once more focused her efforts on Cela and sent a body bind curse in her direction. "Nicholai taught you too well!"

With Daphne's Body Bind Curse going in Cela's direction and her sheilds not lasting long he wondered if this was the chance for SOMEONE to land one on Cela.

Taking a page out of Anna's book he cast the Sponge Knees curse at Celandine and hoped her shield couldn't hold it and the Body Bind curse too.

Awww!

Lyra's stiff body rolled over to reveal a horrid look on her face. Obviously, she never listened to her mother when the words "don't look like that or your face will stick that way" never seemed to stick. Now she knew what her mother was talking about, but it was too late. Thank goodness Tobi was nice enough to guard her as he was right, she would be an easy target.

Her body fell limp and she knew that the curse was lifted, but she was not ready to see the nurse just yet. She had to get Cela back as now...it was their turn. MWAHAAHAHAHA!

Lyra stood up but before she eyed her target, she looked to Tobi. "Thanks mate," she winked then her eyes went directly towards Cela. She raised her wand towards the firing Ravenclaw, casting the Hair Thickening Charm to her eyebrows. That would be a funneh sight to see.

He was ready with his shield again, although his posture was all relief at Anna understanding what he was asking of her. He was going to have to shake her hand after this. His wand was up, and the words were on his lips when he caught wind of Cela and the Professor discussing her point loss. It was a moment too long, and when his shield finally went up, it was too slow. Anna's Sponge-Knee Curse hit him and he toppled into a desk.

"Nicely cast, Wright." Kazimeriz nodded once.

"Do not let Toussaint cower behind you, Kettleburn. Throw her to the wolves. Or in this case... lions and badgers." Kazimeriz smirked.

"Excellent... Nice touch with the wrist flick, I see you are keeping up the Yaxley traditions." He smiled at Yaxley and nodded.

Since it appeared as if her were invisible, William put up a shielding charm anyway, just in case a stray spell came his way. Flicking his wand and saying in a clear voice, "Protego!" he watched as a somewhat strong shield popped into existence. He concentrated on keeping it that way, his eyes looking left and right not trusting anyone.

For a moment, it looked as if Cope would be able to block her curse once again. When he got distracted and looked away, though, Anna knew she'd gotten the best of him. Anna watched as he toppled onto a desk, making a mental note to apologize to him later for that one. He didn't look too badly hurt, though. As a matter of fact, this would give her the perfect opportunity to switch gears and aim for Cela instead. Moving her aim just a bit, Anna nodded in Cela's direction. "Celandine Toussaint," she stated, right before swishing, flicking, and sending the babbling curse right at her.

Kayla watched as everyone seemed to be picking on Celandine and she gritted her teeth slightly. But what could she do this was a contest. She waved her wand at Copernicus and sent the knee sponge curse towards him and kept her wand raised waiting for a counter attack.

Eeeep! Celandine cast her shield, "Protego!" The shield blocked nicely, but fizzled out almost immediately, "I have more brothers than just Nicholai." Cela poked her tongue out at Daphne and her eyes widened as she noticed a movement from Tobi.


"Protego!" Celandine got it up just in time, focusing as hard as she could. The shield held for longer this time. And Cela concentrated hard to keep it steady.

"Yes sir!" Cela managed.

Eeeeeep! Cela let out a little squeak as her shield was taken out by the spell and her eyes widened in alarm. That had been close.

"Ohh!" Cela looked at Copernicus in alarm as he fell into a desk, but she didn't have time to ask if he was alright because...

... she was hit by a babbling curse before she could shield.

"Oh my goodness Anna! You are really good aren't you? I wish I was just like you! You are so smart and pretty and I am sooooo glad that we are friends. And I'm really glad you were there in the student garden that day because it was very very scary and I didn't know what to do or say or anything and I didn't even like boys, like like like them at all until then and now I think I might like them more than candy and thats a whole big deal because I really like candy and I hope I never have to choose. But I haven't had to choose yet because boys keep giving me candy for some reason I don't know why but its nice of them isn't it?"

Woooooh! Cela began to giggle at her word vomit.

Lasca watched in shock and amazement as Professor Kazimeriz instructed the students at the front to attack one another. This class was certainly turning into an interesting one. She wouldn't ever forget the lesson that was for certain.

The young Ravenclaw, would remember every detail no doubt. It would make remembering everything about hexes, jinxes, and curses a sinch.

Tobi Jumped up in the air, "WHO HOOO! GRYFFINPUFF GOT CELA! That's TEAMWORK!" His celebration was very short, because it was time to get back to business.

Tobi searched around for someone to curse, ah, Qaz would do, she would understand. He focused, Qaz, hitting me in the bum with that dodgeball not once but TWICE, really, that was so weird! Not to mention PAINFUL! "Locomotor Mortis!" he cried, pointing his wand at the Ravenclaw.

"Except, Nicholai is the only one that matters," responded Daphne nonchalantly, shrugging her shoulders. Copernicus was down, Celandine was babbling, Plymouth was--Plymouth-ing about.

Too many targets too choose from.

There we go. Flicking her wrist, Daphne cast a Jelly-Fingers curse at the unnamed Ravenclaw who seemed to stunned by the flying curses to do anything else but stand idly. As her spell flew, Daphne glanced sideways at Tobias working figure. "Oh...so you do know what you're doing!"

Copernicus was still down with his spongey knees when Winters cast at him. Well, wasn't that a bit nasty to do to someone who was already out of the fight? He rolled away from her spell before reaching for his wand. He cast Finite on his knees and slumped on the desk for a moment.

"Finite Totalum!" Kazimeriz cast. "A good start. Please cease fire. Many of you, being older, obviously have more experience and skill... but in all I am pleased with your development in terms of your wand work and directed energy." He nodded once to the group, then waved his wand once, casually collecting all their worksheets from the start of class "If anyone has not filled out their worksheets, I expect you to do so now-- this is your final opportunity to do so and I must have them."
