Mariel walked briskly to the Charms classroom to find that she was early. Not even a sign of Ashby. Glancing quickly at her watch to see that, yes she was here at the correct time, she found a seat in the middle of the room near the back and read the message on the blackboard.

Oh, right. The acorn. The thirteen year old was unsure why the school seemed to have some sort of acorn obsession, but she pulled out the acorn that she found on the grounds last week and glanced back up at the blackboard again. A... puppet? Out of this tiny acorn? Well, that was interesting to say the least. Perhaps they were going to put on a puppet show, though she wasn't exactly sure of what she thought of that idea.

The second year stared at the acorn for a moment. You had to put your hand inside a puppet to make it work right? No way was her hand fitting in an acorn. She casted an engorgio charm on the acorn to make it about three times it size - not quite big enough for her hand, but more manageable to work with - then walked up to the desk to rifle through the supplies. Ooooh glitter!

Jane entered the classroom, she had never been so early before. She was happy to know that they were making puppets today. She took a seat in front and emptied her bag full of crafty stuff, including her very Muggle Bedazzler and her acorn. She went to the Professor's desk to take more sparklies. She was going to make her puppet SUPER sparkly.

Jane bedazzled blue eyes for her puppet, and that was pretty much she could bedazzle because the acorn was kinda small. She took out her wand and shredded the felt cloth she took from the desk.

"Adddhaeerrooo!!"Jane was sticking yellow felt cloth for the puppet's hair. She was having fun!

"Please start decorating your acorn as a puppet." Celandine read the instructions out loud and shrugged, pulling out her things, including her . She sat down and began to think about how to decorate her acorn. It would need clothes. And hair and pink hair ribbon.

She could make a mini professor Bunbury!

Paris walked into the classroom and stopped short when she read the instructions on the board. They were decorating acorns! Now she wished she hadn't brought her acorn. She walked over to Professor Ashby's desk and picked up some paints and some glitter. Then she found her desk and got to work on her acorn. At least hers was going to be the prettiest.

Cedric just stepped in the classroom and he do what the instructions said.....he took some supplies on Professor Ashby's desk and he took out his acorn and started decorating..."Adhaerroooo.."Cedric muttered...the dress of his girl acorn was now stuck to its body...

Herminny walked into the Charms classroom, acorn in hand, in hand and took her seat and looked, at the directions on the board and it said to make a puppet out of the acorn and she wondered, how on Earth am I gonna do that. Then she looked around the room to see how other students were doing it and spotted a Ravenclaw girl decorating an enlarged acorn and she thought, thats a good idea, I should try that. Then Herminny took out her wand and pointed it at her acorn and said the encantation,"engorgio", and watched as the acorn got bigger and bigger till it could fit on her hand and then put her wand away and went up to the charm teachers desk to get some supplies to make her puppet and grabbed some buttons and feathers and returned to her seat to decorate her puppet. She took out her wand again and pointed it at the acorn and used the sticking charm to to stick two button eyes, one button for a nose and a pretty button smile. Then she continued using the sticking charm to stick the feathers on random parts of her enlarged acorn and when she was done she put her wand away and waited for the charms professor to arrive.

"hey herminny...is that a giant acorn?"Cedric asked to his fellow 1st year...

Lucy walked into the Charms room holding her acorn. She wondered why on Earth do we to bring and acorn to class. She looked to see people decorating their acorns. She glanced at the board. Wow this will be fun. It would be a great way to show her creativity side. She looked around for an empty seat. She notices an empty seat next a Gyriffendor girl. She walks over to her and taps her shoulder politely. "Im sorry to interrupt you, but do you mind if I sit here?" Shes asks.

Herminny looked at Cedric and said, "Yeah, I used engorgio on it so I could make the acorn big enough to make into a puppet like the professor is asking us to".

"do you mind if I used engorgio to my acorn?"Cedric then pointing his wand to his girl acorn and it was now a beautiful,tall and slim acorn....
"Hello..I'm Cedric.."Cedric said

Lucy smiles and sits down. "Thanks. Im Lucy." She answers taking her wand out. "Engorgio." She says simply. The acorn double in size. "Weird thing huh? But I think its kind of fun." She says. Small talk is good. It'll get you friends. She conjures up some google eyes and use the perminent sticking charm to glue them on.

Herminny looked at Lucy and said, "It's so nice to meet you and using googly eyes on you're puppet thats so cool".

Cedric grabbed Lucy's hand.....giving her a smile....

"Thank Herminny. I love your name has such a cute ring to it." Lucy says smiling. "I like your name to Cedric. Its cute." "So what year are you two in?" She asks her eyes turning a violet color. curiosity. She again conjured up a button and placed it onto the acorn. She takes a knife and carefully carves out a smily face. She smiles at her acorn.

Abby walks into the classroom and finds herself a seat. She hunts in her bag for the acorn Professor Ashby insisted they bring to class today. Abby had picked three up on the grounds just in case one got smashed in her bag. She places it on her desk and reads the black board. Professor Ashby wants us to make puppets for Charms class. I think he's really lost his marbles this time. Oh well, we must have to make a body for the puppet and use the acorn for its head. Abby walks up the Professor Ashby's desk. She finds parchment, colored pencils, yarn in various colors and pipe holders. Abby grabs some parchment, pencils, black yarn and two pipe holders. she goes back to her desk.

Abby draws a dress on the parchment and decorates it. She then uses the avexis charm to glue the parchment together. Abby then decorates the acorn. She draws a face on it and glues some yarn hair on it with the adhaero charm. Abby then uses the adhaero charm to glue the acorn to it's parchment body. She uses the pipe cleaners to make the puppet's arms, and there you have it- a finger puppet.

"Awe, thank you Lucy, and I'm a 1st year", Herminny said

"we're first years.....so yo are a first year also?"Cedric asked

Lucy giggles a little. She normally giggles whens shes nervous. She really hoped to make friends considering all her others one had either moved away or quit school. "I'm not a first year actually. I'm in my fourth year." She replies setting her acorn down. "What do you like most about first year? I loved Transfiguration. I can actually change my apperance, but i rarely do." She asked as she twirled her wand between fingers.

"oh!sorry..I thought that you were...you can change your appearance..?are you a animagus or metamorphmagus..?"Cedric asks with a full of curiosity coming to his veins..

Lucy laughs at Cedric embarrassment. "No prob." She answers picking her acorn up again she takes some brown yarn and it to the top of the acorn. She finishes it and puts it away. "Metamorphmagus. I inherited it from my father." she replies.

"wow...Its awesome...Metamorphmagus is one of the most needed characteristics of an auror..."cedric said

Herminny looked at Lucy and said, "Wow,you're a metamorphmagus, thats so cool, Lucy, and my favorite thing about my 1st year has been learning how to fly and practicing and using spells I have just learned in class".

"I know right! Im actually planning on becoming an auror, like my dad of course. But in my spare time when Im not on missions and everything I want to work with Magical Creatures." She says blushing a little. She never really talked about her future out side of school and it kinda of embarrassed her.

"Really? What kinda of spells have you learned so far, oh and which is your favorite? I remember the Wingardium Leviosa. I blew my feather up. Good mermories." she says laughing. "What about Cedric? What spells have you learned and which is your favorite?" She says turning to him.

Daniel entered the Charms classroom with a sack in his hand and his bag on the other. He laid the sack on the desk and takes a seat. He then sighed. People are once again chit-chatting and he really doesn't like that with the particularly history of losing points for having strong chats back in Transfiguration.

He then looked around and noticed that Ashby if not yet around. Well that was weird. He was never been late for anything he thought. He just grabbed a book about Charms and opened it to stealth charms.
