Sakura muttered the charm to herself a few times before grabbing her wand and saying, "Advexis." She cautiously started to stand and was relieved to have performed the spell properly. With a small smirk she looked around the room. That was when she noticed John. Walking up to him Sakura asked, "Do you want some help?" She was trying not to laugh at his predicament, he was completely stuck!

"You must be confident in yourself, Jake," Ian said. "Try not to become so flustered when you can't perform a spell right away. Remember that you are a first year, and this is some fairly advanced magic. If it helps, though, try to envision yourself being freed from the chair when you perform the spell." Ian patted him on the back before continuing on making his rounds.

"Excellent work, Mr. Avalon," Ian said. "Professor Kazimeriz should be proud that his students are handling this assignment so well."

"By all means, please do take some," Ian said motioning toward his desk. "I've got a ton of it and no clue what to do with it."

Well....maybe he could think of a few ideas.

Ian burst out laughing at the spectacle. "Dear boy, you are in quite a pickle. Tell me, are you perhaps any good at the Muggle game 'Twister?' You look like you could be a Twister Grand Master." All the while, he was making quick work of the boy's predicament. He freed his head, hands, and wand, and handed the boy his wand. "There...now try to unstick your backside."

"Please please! The flailing! Oh, the flailing!" Ian covered his eyes, anxious someone would lose a nose or an ear. "Child, please calm yourself. Try the spell again. Think of yourself frolicking in a field, chairless. Focus on your lack of....unwanted bodily hitchhikers."

Ooohhhhmmmmmm.... *zen*

"Good work, William!" Ian said, clapping.

"Wonderful job, Abby!" Ian exclaimed.

"You are very welcome," he responded.

"Uh, hold what, dear?" interrogated Daphne confused and settled for holding up the back of her robes, guessing perhaps Celandine wanted to match up the torn fabric from the gaping hole that had been ventilating air across her thighs. "By the way, Celly," added Daphne, twirling delicately, the pink ribbon attached to the crown of her head around a finger. "Do you have anything planned after class?"

Did they really have to sit in glue? It was all sticky and gross and gooey and..bleh. But she figured it probably wouldn't be the best idea to refuse, so she raised her hand and said, "Professor? Could I borrow some glue?"

John looked at the Professor when he asked the question about Twister. "I have never lost a game of that." He smiled. "Now using a wand is another thing, I'm not that good at it yet." He laughed as the Professor freed most of him. "Thanks Professor." he smiled as he held his wand safely away from the glue this time. "Advexis, Advexis, Advexis." He said but instead of becoming unstuck there was a bang as the chair got destroyed. Standing up he looked at the Professor. "Ehh What did I do wrong Professor?" John decided that wand work wasn't his best subject.

Celandine looked at Daffy, eyeing her rear to check her handiwork. "It's almost as good as new. I think I was off by a half a thread." Celandine wrinkled her nose, annoyed by that. "No. Nothing planned." Cela told her, taking a seat again and tugging one end of her own pink ribbon cautiously, since the gloves made it difficult to be gentle.

She kicked her bag gently with her foot, smiling a little at the thought of all that glue.

Qaz grabbed a couple bottles of glue...one for class, one for practice later...

After applying glue to her seat, she sat in it. At least she couldn't feel the glue...that would be major yucky. With a quick flick 'Advexis' and she stood up, without the chair. Got it the first time. He wand work had improved so much over the past year that she'd really surprised herself. Now it seems so easy, compared the the struggles of her first few years here.

I'll bet this would work wonders with those pesky stick-on labels that stores were so fond of...no more scraping with her fingernails....

William grinned happily as he was praised by professor Ashby. The guy wasn't so bad, pretty fun in fact. "Can I please have some glue for later professor?" He asked, putting his hand in the air and waiting for the reply.

He stood beside his chair, not wanting to risk a third try in case his confidence, which was sorely lacking as of late dissapeared altogether and he uber failed.

Ermmm, okay. Well, that didn't work. Anna glanced down and glared at the glue she'd stuck herself to. This little charm better work sooner or later...or, at least, Anna sure hoped it would! Raising her wand once again, Anna aimed her wand at the stuck areas of her body and said, "Advexis!"

Nothing...

Anna took a few deep breaths and felt herself begin to panic. She wouldn't be stuck like this forever, would she?!?! Trying not to draw attention to herself, Anna glanced nervously around the room. Were all the others still stuck just like she was? Her eyes fell upon a small Hufflepuff boy, John if she wasn't mistaken, who seemed to be in a far worse predicament than she was in. That had to be a good sign for her, right? Anna swallowed hard and then pointed her wand at the icky mess once again. "Advexis!" she called out. Her body remained stuck, just as it had been, to the desk. What was going on?!?! Why could she not do this?!?!

Lyra decided to play around some more and try the spell once again but was quickly distracted by all the girls wearing PINK ribbons in their hair. Her eyes glared from a distance as she wondered what would happen if she glued the ribbons to their head since they were obviously distracting her from her work.

She sat down in her chair once more and was glued to her seat. One more twirl and she was borrowing some glue from the professor. Her eyes moved back to the chair she was sitting in and Advexis, she stood up once more as she was NOT glued to the seat.

Jake kinda pouted before muttering to himself. "But it's so har-har-hard..." he said in a kinda whiny fake-crying voice, still a little dejected. Stupid magic, just made everyone lazy. Bah!

Smiling gratefully as the jolly, santa-like man professor patted his back, Jakeput the robes back on and sat in the chair, ready to unstick.

He could do this, he would envision it and succeed. Grrrrr! Bring it on, Jake weren't afraid of no glue! Nahh!!!!! He was Rocky! Yeah, bring it on! Grrrrr!!!!!
*Cue 118/Rocky theme*

"Advexis!" Jake said, pointing his wand at the seat, more confident it would work this time.

Nothing.

"Grrrrhhaarghhhghhh!!!!!" Jake groaned through gritted teeth, exhaling deeply through his nose. If he didn't do this one last time, he was shunning magic forever.

...And if I had a pound everytime I've thought that... I'd have... about a fiver...

Tobi was indeed pleased that he'd impressed his professor, and a professor who taught charms! That just seemed against all odds.

Feeling brave he made his way up to the desk holding all the bottles of glue, giving Copernicus Kettleburn a wide berth, lest he give into his base urges and kick him in the shins.

On the return trip, with more of a personal struggle, he made the same trip. Anna was giving him a look that clearly said, 'don't even think about it' so even though he SO wanted to pass by Kettleburn's desk and overturn a his bottle of glue on his head, he kept his distance. He was being a good little Tobi.

Pouring a bottle of glue on his own seat and sitting on it didn't seem like a brilliant idea either though. He'd ruined 3 uniforms this term and he had a suspicion this excersise was begging to make it 4.

Oh well, he'd lost upwards of 15 points for Gryffindor, he wanted to get them back.

SLURP! he poured the glue out onto his chair.

SQUELCH! and sat upon it.

"What a curious sensation," he declared, not to imply it was an enjoyable one.

It was like sitting on... cold mashed potatoes with particularly viscous gravy. Ick.

Jane was squirming like a worm in her chair till all the squishiness is gone. She rather enjoyed the squishiness. That was until the professor asked everyone to unglue themelves.

Point the wand at my backside???Uhhh.....Well, if the professor said so...

Jane was still uncertain about this. Her Alohomora Charm didn't work really well in the last Charms Class. What was she going to get now,with GLUE and her endangered backside?

Might as well.

Jane closed her eyes shut, pointed her wand to her backside and prayyyyyyyed somewhat aloud that her backside will be fine after this.

"Ad-Weck-Sis!!!!" Jane incantated. She opened one of her eye to see what had happened to her backside.

There were no changes. She thought maybe she'd get up or something. She got on her feet...she was able to..until...

CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKK!!!!!!!

The chair broke and left the sitting part glued to her backside.

Maybe this only works when the glue is still wet, she thought.She shot her hands in the air to ask for help, while she walked to the professor with the planks stuck to her backside.

"Professor?Does the charm only work with wet glue? Cause I think.. I think... the glue on my chair was already dry... and then... and thenn..."Jane was panicking, thinking maybe she might get in trouble for wrecking the Professor's chair.

"And thennn... I did advexis and your chair... it... it..."Jane's hands were flying almost in every direction now, scared that the professor might take points off.

Jane couldn't speak anymore for she was afraid. It was school property. So she showed her backside to the professor to show him the planks that were stuck.

"I'm really sorry for the chair, professor,"Jane looked like she was gonna cry.

Sakura stepped back from her position next to John just in time to avoid getting hurt by the blown up chair. "Umm John, could I maybe suggest you stop practising the spell for umm safety reasons." Sakura asked.

Pushing the school bag aside, Daphne pulled her chair closer towards Celandine's own. This way she could slowly practice the charm and talk all at once without having to shout over the murmuring students. "Oh, thank you! I don't think anyone will notice," replied Daphne with a wink. Besides herself and Celandine, the Gryffindor girl really doubted that anyone shared an interest enough in quality robes to notice the inconsistency in the threads. Picking up a rogue bottle of glue, Daphne squirted some on her chair. "Oh, good! Because I have a present for you," finished Daphne in a sing song voice, shiftily glancing at Celandine sideways as she sat down on the glue, and squirmed slightly, letting it adhere once more to her fabric.

This time, she'd come unglued perfectly!

"I am going to stop practicing the spell." Smiled John. "That is if the Professor lets me." He laughed as he saw the chair. "Repario." He said as he pointed it at the chair and it repaired itself. "That's one of the only spells I can do." He laughed. He looked at the Professor. "What should I do?"

"I can fix it later." Cela told her, attempting a smile. Celandine nodded and made a face when the ends of her ribbon came undone and flopped in her face. With the gloves on it was almost impossible to get it done up right.

"You do? I have a present tooo. For youuu." Celandine told her, watching as Daphne glued herself to the seat again.

"Hey Daffy?" Cela waggled her gloved hands at the flopsy ribbon, "Can you fix this for me? Cela angled her head so that Daffy could better reach and make her hair ribbon sit perfectly.

Of all things, Merlin these RIBBONS were too much and she had enough. Quietly, she walked towards Professor Ashby and gently picked up a tube of glue. "Ha ha! My glue is..err...wearing down," she smiled as innocently as she could but on the way back to her chair, Lyra opened the tube and OOPS! Some accidently got onto Cela's PINK ribbon but she pretended as though she didn't see it and kept walking. It was something done as quietly as possible and yet, if Daphne helped tie the ribbon then they would both be stuck together. What. A. Shame.

Okay, this is gross, Tobi thought and reached for his wand to release himself.

Or he tried. He leaned forward to grab his wand, but his habit of pushing his chair way way WAY back from his desk (where his wand sat) and never pushing it in had apparently come back to bite him.

"Who would have thought we'd ever see the day when I can't reach something!" he cried, marvelling at the irony. He tried to pull the chair forward, but glue had ran down the legs and it was most decidedly stuck where it was.

"Um, someone, help? PLEEAASE?"

Chris got up and reluctantly put the glue on his seat. He had chosen a non-glue covered chair on purpose but decided to do the assignment anyway. He sat down and waited til he was stuck. He pointed his want to his non stuck body and said "Advexsis." he pulled and he came unstuck from the desk.

After his first success he decided to try a different item he glued both of his feet to the floor and the waited til the glue dried. After a few minutes he pulled and sure enough he was stuck! He then pointed his wand at his left foot and said "Advexsis." he felt the glue loosen and he pulled it off the ground. He then pointed his wand at his right foot and repeated the spell and went to move his foot nd it was still stuck. Oh crap im still stuck! he growned in his head. "Advexsis!" he said louder this time. After a few tries it finally cam unstuck. He was free!

Pyralis sighed pulled out her wand and muttered. "Advexis."

Qaz got up and walked over to Tobi and handed him his wand...with a bit of a smirk. 'One should never be out of reach of one's wand...there could be dire consequences.' she said with a wink.

Wiggling, Daphne nodded thinking she should have been stuck by now. Twisting and aiming, her wand pointed at the unified section of her robes and the seat, unsticking herself promptly after having repeated the charm. Easy peasy! At least, when she stopped distracting herself with internal monologue and concentrated on the spellwork that needed to be done.

"You do?" squeaked Daphne clipping the beret open that held her bangs back. On the beret, she had glued several small bows made of the ribbon Celandine and her had bought back at Hogsmeade. Clipping her extensive bangs back, she made yet another mental note to have those trimmed as soon as she arrived at the manor at the end of the school term. "Is it--small or big? or--" wondered Daphne tapping her chin thoughtfully, big hazel eyes focused on the ceiling.

Distracted, Daphne Hopton did not notice Lyra's 'accidental' mishap and the consequences it could have on her being. Smiling down warmly at Celandine, Daphne rolled back her robes' sleeves. "Of course, Celly," chirped the blond, putting down her wand and grasping the ribbons ends to untie them completely. Extending the ribbon between her fingers, she felt something gooey stick between her digits and the ribbon. "Uh..." she stammered shaking her hands gently at first before resorting to a stronger shake. "Celandine, the ribbon is stuck!"

Holding her hands out rather awkwardly, ribbon attached to her fingers, Daphne raised a brow at Tobias Avalon, once more being his loud and--"Oh, Avalon!" moaned Hopton from where she sat. "Only you would get in such a situation. I'm sorry, I can't help you. My hands are occupied," finished the girl out of the corner of her mouth, lips tilting in an amused smirk.

HA. Wait, had that been a joke she just delivered? Har Har.

Daniel wasn't stuck, so he raised his hand and asked for some glue.. "Professor, Can I please have some glue? I got my station all prep-up and I wasn't stuck on a chair. It would be a mess if I will transfer." he said politely.

Tobi was suddenly released from his chair.

He jumped up from his seat, and accepted his wand from Qaz, who was in the process of handing it to him.

"Um, thanks, you uh, coulda just handed me my wand," he said to his liberator, shrugging. "But that works too, I'll just go get another bottle of glue and start again. Thanks to you too, Qaz."

He headed back to get more glue, again he kept his distance from Kettleburn both there and back. If Anna didn't kill him for losing points, Alexis would kill him for getting detention during practice time. Or worse, they could pair up and maim/torture/murder him together.

He returned to his seat in short order.

"Okay, wand? Check. Chair? Check, Glue?"

SLURP!

"Check. Sitting?"

SQUELCH!

"Check. Pretty much back where I started, but with a wand."
