"Your classmate has it correct. Waddiwasi will send the target object flying upon removal. This charm simply unsticks you from something."

Ian looked at the boy who had spoken up. He was wearing one of them badges. Turning to him, Ian pointed his wand and said, "Oh, and Furnunculus."



Now that that was done, he refocused his attention on the entire class and said, "Well, shall we give this a try? In order to perform the charm, you simply point at the stuck item and say the incantation. For those of you who have yet to be stuck, you may either move to a seat that has glue on it, or you may ask me for some glue. I have plenty."

He motioned toward his desk, which was now covered in glue bottles. "So, go ahead and try out the charm. Unstick yourselves!"

Paris didn't have the energy to even laugh when Professor Ashby hexed Tobi. Her nose was stopped up and she wouldn't have heard herself laugh anyways. She didn't know if she had sat in glue, but when she tried to stand and she heard the fabric of her robes start to tear she groaned a bit as she settled back into her seat.

John got hold off his wand and pointed it at the chair. unfortunatly because he was so small the end of the wand got stuck to the chair and since John didn't want to get blown across the other end of the room he decided that he had better tell the Professor. "Professor Ashby." He said hoping the Professor wouldnt be cross. "I pointed my wand at the chair and now it's stuck to it." He cried. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to." He then asked. "Should I still do the spell of would it be too dangerous."

See, she had sat on the sticky chair on purpose. Kayla pointed her wand towards her...well towards her bottom. "Advexis" she said but the incantation had come out wrong, she had forgotten to say it with a W and as she made a move to stand up...there was a rather loud RIPPING noise!

Horrified Kayla, put her butt firmly back onto the chair...looks like new robes were in order now. Taking a deep breath she tried again making sure to say the incantation correctly, "Advexis" she waited a moment before making a move to stand up and it was with great relief she had done it. "WOOT" she yelled and did a little jig before realising that she could feel a cold draft on her behind and she looked back at her chair to see part of her robes left behind. Oops, she wondered if the reparo spell would work?

Celandine stood up from her non-glued seat and went over to grab a bottle of the glue. She headed back to her seat and emptied half the bottle over the chair before sitting in it. She put her gloved hand up, "How long does it take to dry? It's squishy and..." Cela tried to move, "...oooh, never mind!"

Cela slowly transferred her weight to her feet and got a grip on the back of her chair with one hand, her wand in the other. Robes stuck fast to the chair, Celandine twisted so she could see better, "Advexis!" Cela pointed her wand and clearly spoke the incantation with the wuh instead of the vuh sound. She pulled the chair free with a flourish and immediately overbalanced and ended up on the floor. Chair too heavy to flourish with one hand.

Giggling she stood up and added more glue to the chair, sitting down and readying herself to try again.

"Professor?" Cela raised her hand, "Is there... spare... glue that I could.... use to practice with later? Does the glue stick to.... leather?"

"Oh dear," Ian said as he waddled over to the student. "Can you at least reach your wand? The spell should still work if you're holding the wand since it is pointed toward the chair. Perhaps you could try that?" He scratched his chin. "If that doesn't work, I would be happy to free your wand so you can give it a shot."

Ian's ears suddenly became savvy to a ripping sound. "Uh oh! Prefect Winters, you may want to repair your uh...clothing as soon as possible. Reparo should do the trick."

Ian headed over toward the girl who had called for him. "Oh my! Are you okay?" he asked, referring to her spill.

"Umm...yes, I suppose I could whip up some more glue for later practice. In fact..." he again addressed the class. "Class, if you would like to take some glue to practice with after class, feel free to take a bottle or two! I must ask that you not terrorize the school, though. And in case you're thinking about it, I do have my eyes all over this place...."

He hustled back up to his desk and pointed at the glue bottles. "Geminio!" Suddenly there was a WHOLE lot more glue.

Jake sighed as he picked himself up and almost threw himself into the seat next to him, which had glue on it. No-one else had sat next to him, so Jake was covered there.

I hate this class, I hate this class... Jake thought frantically to himself staring straight ahead at the wall with a murderous glare. When he'd had quite enough of this glue lark, Jake pointed his wand at the seat of the chair and casted the spell. "Ad-weck-siss," he said, waiting for something to happen.

Nothing did.

"Advexis," Jake tried again, making sure to pronounce it properly. Still nothing. He checked his wand was the right way up, and tried to stand to see if he was in fact stuck to a chair (which he was) before trying again. But it still didn't work.

"I fail," he exclaimed. "At magic, at school, and at life in general," Jake stomped his foot, probably looking more comical than anything.

Using his logical mind, Jake shrugged his arms out of his robes, and sat on the seat he'd been sitting in before now clad in his school shirt, tie and trousers, trying to get his robes unstuck.

At least this situation is slightly more comfortable, Jake thought to himself, glad he could shift around the chair and fidget again, which was a no-no when attatched to the chair. He glanced up with faint interest as Ashby got one of the students with a jinx or hex or whatever it was, before shrugging.

His clothing was waaaaay more important.

Daphne glanced down at her lap unpleasantly. What kind of sick trick was this? Lesson or no, who in their right mind stuck innocent children to chairs?! Heaving a sigh, the blond whipped out her wand and twisted her torso slightly to aim at her derriere. "Ad-weck-ssis!" chanted Daphne pulling at the same time. The glue gave way but not as easily as she would have liked, still keeping a portion of her robes and skirt adhered to the seat.

Gosh darn it!

Eeeep! Tobi had been waiting for days for this. He hadn't expected it to come in class, but he was prepared for things to blow up in charms class, so being prepared for that was sort of a similar thing. He picked up the wand he'd placed on his desk with great haste and pointed it at the Professor.

"PROTEGO!" He bellowed emphatically, concentrating very very hard on the hex, on not having boils, and on the spot it was coming from. It wasn't a very large shield but it was a good deal stronger than any other one he'd ever produced before.

Anna laughed softly as the professor proceeded to hex Tobi Avalon. Students being randomly hexed throughout the school had taken a little getting used to, but Anna was beginning to accept it more and more every day. It still amused her at how her professors could just manage to pop up out of nowhere and shoot a hex at an unsuspecting student. Poor Tobi. Hopefully he'd remember the correct way to cast a Shield Charm.

Whoa, whoa, whoa...wait. She was supposed to just casually stroll on over to a glue-filled desk and take a seat. Ewww! She'd have it all over her, and...ugh. That's what cleaning charms were made for, though. Reluctantly, Anna moved to the seat next to her and sat right down in the glue. Well, this was...unpleasant. Drawing her wand from her robes, Anna pointed it at the stuck areas of her body and said, "Advexis!"

Twilight had been making notes so she had only been listening since she was so busy writing. She looked up and the softly repeated to herself 'ad-weck-siss' several times so that she would say it correctly. Then she said it several times outloud.

"May I have some glue Professor?" asked Twilight.

John tried to reach his wand but with terible consequences he tried to get it but his hands got stuck. So he tried with his other hand but that got stuck. "Professor." Said John know the only part he could move was his head. "I can't get my wand Professor and I think I'm stuck." He cried the only thing he could move was his head that gave him an Idea. He put the wand in his mouth and tried to do the spell but unfortunaly he couldn't say the words as the wand was stopping him working. He lifted his head up but realised that was now stuck to the chair. "eh, Professor I um, I can't move at all."

Cam's eyes lightened up when the professor ordered them to sit on a seat with glue on it. Glue smelled terrible and he reaaallly didn't want to do the assignment. This was awfully scary right now since what if he couldn't do the spell? What if he was stuck there for eternity and lay there to rot his dead body? The negative thoughts were invading his mind and he was scared. There really was no other choice than to like, do it. He could have lost points or something!

"Okee. Okee. Okee." He reached out for a glue bottle and then went back to his seat. Ewww. This was a disgusting experience he was about to do, whether or not he was indeed going to learn a new spell. Ugh. Meh. It should have been fun. Maybe?

Pouring the glue all over his chair, he sniffed and then poked it again just to check if it really was glue or not. And then he sat down. He winced at the squishiness he felt at all--OH IT FELT WRONG. But soon it dried up and he tried to stand up. Sadly he really couldn't do anything but to just point his wand at the chair.

Taking a deep deep breath, he said the incantation again. And again. And again. And again. "Advexis! Advexisee! Advexis!" He just swished his wand over and over again at the chair of his and nothing worked. What if his clothes got some white stuff on them from the dried glue. Panic. He panicked immediately.

"ADVEXISSSS-UHADVEXIS."

Nope. NOTHING!

Okay, first rule of spell casting, make sure you have the incantation down. He knew he needed to practice before even attempting, even though he had said the incantation already a few times, he wanted to be sure. And besides it was a fun incantation to say, out loud and inside his head. Standing up he looked for a chair that had glue on it and sat down, cringing at the weird nasty feel as it stuck to him. Great, now he definitely needed the spell right.

Picking up his wand he pointed it to the sticky lobby mess under him and said in a clear voice, "Advexis!". He tried to stand up and found part of his robes were still stuck to the sticky mess. Well, better than nothing he mused grateful for that much. Oh perhaps he had said 'Vexsis' instead of the 'W' sound he was supposed to say. Shrugging he pointed his wand at the gluey mess again and said clearly "Advexsis." This time as he stood up the chair fell away easily. "Yes!" he muttered, grinning at his second attempt.

Applying more glue to his chair he sat down again and cringed.

Nasty.

Struggling, tangling herself in the chair, Daphne's hazel eyes glared down heavily at the glue keeping her captive. Jabbing her wand at it repeatedly, Miss Hopton held in the instinct to scream at it, instead she repeated the unsticking charm several times.

"Advexis! Advexis! Advexis!"

"I'm okay." Cela told him, being sure to check her gloves were still on. Okay being relative and all.

"Oh thank you, Professor Ashby!" Celandine picked up the chair attached to her rear in her excitement and waddled up to claim some glue. Hmmm. She'd need a fair amount since she wasn't sure how good the others were with sticking charms. Better safe than sorry. Cela realised she was still attached to her chair and she pointed her wand at the gluey bit, "Advexis!" Coming unstuck, Cela balanced six bottles of glue on the chair and levitated it back to her seat, where she placed the glue bottles in her bag and sat herself back on the chair.

She shot a look at Daphne and smiled innocently.

Did the professor jsut hexed a student in the middle of the class... that was funny she thought.
Ana didn't moved a millimeter since the "truth" was revealed. She carefully picked the wand and pointed it to the chair and that stinky thing. "Advexis!" nothing. Oh muggles professors would love this... she thought. "Focus. Advexis!...Advexis!!" she waited 3 seconds and in a quick move she was free from the chair. "Yeah! I'm free!"

Abby walks up to the front of the class and get a bottle of glue. She empties the bottle on her chair. Abby sits down and performs a drying charm on her rear end and seat. When she's sure it's dry, she points her wand at the bottom of the chair and says "ad-veck-siss!" Abby tries to get up, but she stuck to the chair. She tries one more time. "Ad-ex-us! No that's not right. Let's see... advexis!" Abby rolls her seat around. It moves naturally. She tries getting up. Still stuck. I mean business this time. She says "advexis!" at the top of her lungs. "I'm finally unstuck."

Kayla couldn't help but giggle at the demise of her robes. She looked up at the Professor as he spoke to her and she nodded. "Oh cool, thanks Professor." She looked behind her hoping that she was pointing to the right spot, "Reparo" she said confidently. Oooh look at that it worked!!

"Advexis!" shouted Daphne finally ripping free from her prison. Despite it being Daphne Hopton's victory, the chair had claimed a battle prize, a large piece of her imported robes. Sighing, she patted her backside consciously, hoping her skirt hadn't torn as well.

As she twisted her torso, she caught Celandine's smile. Smiling back instinctively, she allowed her gaze to fall curiously on Cela's bulging school bag. "Oh! Are you going to practice later?" remarked Daphne dumbly, blinking her golden lashes in the process. "I think I should take some bottles myself. Do you? I always need more practice than you," added Daphne in a softer voice, well aware of their differences in skills.

Cela nodded emphatically, "Yes. Daphne you should take some glue to practice with. We can see how well it sticks to leather. And how well leather sticks to wood." Celandine continued nodding. She paused at Daphne's tone and eyed the patch of robe still attached to the chair, "Want me to fix that for you, Daffy?" Cel offered in an equally soft tone.

Lyra decided to see if the chair she sat in had glue. NOPE! She was a smart one for watching where she sat for class. Silly Professor Ashby, there was no telling what he would have done at any given point but no matter what it was, she would still giggle anyway. She popped up from her chair and walked over to another chair, obvious to the glue in the seat. Her eyes flickered back and forth between the glue and the professor. If this charm didn't work, then she would be walking back to the Huffie common room with a chair stuck to her butt.

Once again, she was on a kick of doing magic silently and practicing that way instead of the traditional. The next time she saw Christian, she'd be able to glue his butt to a seat, but she would know the correct spell to use...when she finally let him go.

Advexis!

And with that, Lyra stood up without a chair stuck to her. Oh this was fun! She clapped her hands together and plopped back into the chair to try it all over again.

"Well, in that case," retorted Daphne flicking her wrist, levitating five bottles of glue off the desk and unto the floor below her. "I'll take a few myself. In case we need to try the experiment several times." Although the levitating charm wasn't all that difficult, it demanded quite a bit of wrist action control which didn't come so easily for the pudgy third year. The bottles of glue now on the floor, Daphne smiled sheepishly at her Ravenclaw friend, a flush erupting on her chubby cheeks. "Daphne," muttered the girl in correction, blush still evident as she turned around slightly. "And if you could, please. That would be very helpful."

As she waited for Cela to aid her in her embarrassing plight, Daphne made a mental note to pick up a book on Domestic Charms.

Celandine nodded and started by helping Daffy put the glue bottles in her bag before straightening up and pointing her wand at Daffy's chair. "Advexis!" Cela freed the cloth and picked it up, eyeing it and walking behind Daffy to examine the damage. "Hold this here." Cela lined it up as best she could and flicked her wand, "Reparo!"
