"Sorry," replied Daphne quickly, drawing up a mental image of the House Hourglasses. Last she checked, Ravenclaw was still in the lead anyways but due to their perfectionist nature, Daphne could see why losing points was unacceptable. "Levitate it a little higher," advised Daphne as she squinted, beginning to draw the cranes shape meticulously with her wand. "Aaaadhaaaaaaeeerooooooooo!"

PLOP! Out it went, flying straight towards the ceiling and sticking on it. If the paper crane had eyes, it would be glaring at them accusingly from its upside down nest.

Tino's mural was growing. His Tyrannosaurus Rex had hunted and dismembered (in paper fashion) all the available prey, including several small effigies of Hogwarts students who would remain unnamed. Sticking all those figures to the wall had been fun, but practicing the unsticking spell would ruin it. He'd best practice on something else.

Quickly Tino spotted a paper bird upside down on the ceiling. The bird stared at him with its beady eyes. It was thinking something unpleasant, most likely. In fact--Tino was quite sure that the bird had prejudged him as a lazy, dumb, incompetent fool. "No I'm not!" Tino announced suddenly. "AVEXIS!!"

Ha-HA! He'd shown it.

”I do hope,” Aggie said leaning over towards a Ravenclaw she recognized as one of Tobi’s friends. “That you were talking to the bird you just unstuck, because if you were talking to yourself,” she pointed her wand at her own piece of paper she’d been sticking to the wall. “Avexis,” there was a flash and it slowly floated to the ground only leaving a small corner still stuck to the wall (she was getting better woohoo!). “I think you might need to go see the Nurs-“ she paused. Nope. Sending boys to the nurse tended to end up with them being googlied-lolling dorkuslumps. “I think you might need your head examined.”

"That's what my uncle used to say," Tino replied absently, staring at the white bird-form now laying on the floor. He hoped Daphne wouldn't revive it. Her creation was obviously a menace. "But now all he says is 'that must be a maternal genetic thing'." That was the only reference Uncle Gary ever made about his mother, so it didn't exactly deter Tino from 'expressing' himself. Being himself was, perhaps, the only connection he had left to her.

After Tino was pretty sure the crane wasn't going to sit up and shout at him, he turned to Aggie. "Hey. I know you. . . you threw a snowball in my face and gave me an ear infection." He stated it matter-of-factly, as if reciting Aggie's driver's license number. Tino pulled out his wand. "Wanna be my partner? We're supposed to unstick something."

Rian smiled at his words. "Um, I guess so," she said timidly. She wasn't sure how she'd like this, but if it was for school, she had just about no choice. She stepped to the wall, and looked at William, pleading with her eyes to not keep her hanging - haha ... pun - for too long.

“I had been aiming for the taller one…Ted I think his name is?” She stated as she poked her paper with the tip of her wand. It didn’t do much but scoot a bit further away from her on the desk top. “If you had been wearing a hat – it wouldn’t have hit your ear,” Well, as directly anyway she finished mentally.

She folded up the paper into a throwing star shape and then pointed at it with her wand. “Adhaero- what?!” She had planned on sticking the star to the wall where she had been pointing, but she moved in response to Tino’s question. The star zoomed around and stuck itself nicely to Tino’s left shoulder. “Oops.”

Tino looked down at his left shoulder and blinked. "How did you do that?," he wondered aloud. "I didn't think your thingie could move after your incantation. . . hrmmm." Tino tugged at the corner of the star and only succeeded in ripping off the tip. "Here, you need more practice. Stick me to the wall!"

And thus saying, Constantino Kolytiris climbed onto the desk and put himself at the mercy of Agggie DeWitt's charms skill (which, unbeknownst to him, had much to be desired).

But this whole thing was rather boring yet. Their practice needed some 'Tinofication'. "Wait," he commanded, then turned himself around, kicked his legs straight up into the air, and completed a fine handstand on the table. His scraggly, unkempt hair dangled freely. "Okay, ready!"

Mariel's encouraging smile faltered slightly at Sarah's apprehension and turned into more of a nervous grin. Truth be told, she wasn't completely sure that either of them would be all that great at sticking an actual human being to the wall. They both did the paper just okay, having had to perform the charm twice to manage to get a piece of paper completely stuck. And although hanging from a wall looked incredibly cool, it would not be fun to hang there only partially stuck. Of course she would be able to feel if she was securely fastened to the wall before Sarah pulled the desk away, right? And then if she wasn't she'd just tell Sarah to wait.

"You can do it, Sarah," the Ravenclaw girl told her Hufflepuff friend, as she took a deep breath and squinted her eyes shut in anticipation. Standing completely still as Sarah performed the charm twice to complete the task, Mariel slowly opened her eyes as she was sure the girl was finished. She opened her mouth to tell Sarah to wait until she made sure she was completely fastened to the wall before she pushed the desk away, but as she was trying to wiggle her limbs to see if there was any sign of looseness, Sarah had already begun to push the desk away.

"Wait - ," she started, a teensy bit of panic in her voice. But as the desk slid away from her, the brunette realized she was securely fastened to the wall. Beaming at her friend, she tried unsuccessfully to give her a thumbs up, and said, "Well done," and waited for her to put the desk back to unstick her. She giggled slightly at the sensation of hanging on the wall. This was fun and could see why the two professors were having such a good time at it earlier.

Feeling the desk back under her feet as Sarah pushed it back, Mariel patiently waited to be unstuck. After Sarah performed that spell, Mariel wiggled her fingers free and stepped back away from the wall. Climbing down from the desk, she turned to Sarah with a grin and said, "Okay, you're next, hop up there."

”Stick you to the wall?” Aggie’s brown eyes became the size of galleons. Was he insane? Yep, bonafide bonkers. Aggie confirmed as the boy not only climbed up onto the desk, but then turned himself upside down – in a handstand.

Hair and robes were dangling all over the place and the boy looked like he was about to trip and get tangled in it all. What does Tobi see in this bloke? she asked herself. Aggie wasn’t exactly sure as she raised her wand at Tino. “Are you sure about this?” she asked as Tino nodded.

Merlin help him Aggie thought right before saying “Adhaero.”

Kayla raised an eyebrow at Jake, seems he wasn't too impressed with her idea. Honestly it seemed the most logical thing to do, even though she wasn't all that confident in her own abilities with this particular charm...hmm best not let him know that though.

She watched as he tried to get up into the table and she rolled her eyes and moved forward and grabbed him by the back of the robes and hoisted him onto the table. "Okay now stand against the wall Jake" she ordered. "Um...please" she added as an afterthought. Kayla took a small step back to get a good look at the wall and an idea popped into her head and she looked back the table. "Hey Jake, do you like carnival rides?"

Tino squeezed his eyes shut and braced himself. When he opened them, he was looking at a very anxious upside-down Aggie. Tino tried to move his leg. It wouldn't budge.

"You did it!," Tino cried encouragingly. "Look at that! And I didn't move or get stuck to anyone's sleeve. See? That wasn't so hard! Now, move the desk away so I can pretend to be human wallpaper."

Tino's shirt bared an innie belly-button that he couldn't do anything about.

Aggie turned her head and bent down trying to look Tino in the eye. All she accomplished was looking silly and getting all her hair in her face. “Are you sure you want me to do that?” She asked after pushing her hair out of her face. She then poked him in the stomach wondering if he was truly stuck. Her charms work wasn’t the greatest and the last time she’d done something close to this, Tobi had chased her through the entire school, only ending his pursuit because of a broken nose.

Joanne was looking around trying to find a partner when she found one boy. (ooc:make-believe-kind-of-partner) She smiled at him. "gentlemen first ?" she asked politely. The boy nodded and climbed to the desk. Joanne concentrated hard "I'll try and make it right" she said to the boy. She thought about what the professor had done for a few minutes and then she looked around taking a deep breath. Here we go... she started tracing the outline of the boy while saying "Adhaero" she gasped for air a few times when she was all done the boy had a rather alarmed look on his face. I hope you don't fall. She started removing the table gently and he was still on the wall "YEYYYY" Joanne cheered blushing a little and quickly releasing him.

"Yes, yes! Do it," Tino insisted, and tried to struggle against the bond. "See? I'm held fast. No slack here." The blood was starting to rush to his head, but Tino found the sensation rather curious.

He grinned when Aggie poked him. "Hoo-hooo," he giggled, attempting to imitate the Pilsbury Doughboy. He'd watched alot of TV in his lifetime.

”What was that?” Aggie jumped back a step. “Sounded like a dying plimpy.” Aggie was so unfamiliar with Muggle amendities or allusions that she needed help with all her muggle studies homework, something that Tino’s fellow Ravenclaw and friend, Sho, was usually willing to help her with. Alas, Aggie hadn’t seen Sho since before news of the student’s death in the library. She was still slightly concerned for her Muggle Studies grade Sho’s safety and would be until she saw him alive with her own two eyes.

But Tino was the Ravenclaw Aggie was working with right now. Are all Ravenclaws this weird? she asked as she pushed the desk out from under Tino. The boy was now stuck, upside down, without a desk propping him up.

Still grinning at her accomplishment (this was a big deal to her..getting something right),Sarah moved to the side to allow Mariel enough room to climb down from the table.
"OK,no problem.You trusted me..I trust you." Smiling at her friend,she pulled a chair over so she could stand on it to get on the table.Being short had many disadvantages.Hitching up her robes,she leant on the desk to stand on the chair,from there it was onto the desk itself.
Smoothing herself down she placed her back against the wall and tried to stay as still as she could.
"Go for it!"

"Eep!" Jake gasped as he felt Kayla grabbed him, but soon noticed he was up on the table. Nifty. Jake stood up, wary of the height for the first time he could remember. Ok, I can do brooms, but not tables... and this makes sense... how?

Moving over a little to stand with his back to the wall, Jake went a little wide-eyed at the question. It deemed... ominous. Pressing himself back, Jake replied, "I can't say I know for sure... they seem fun... whyyyyyy?" Jake hadn't been on these 'carnival rides' before, but he knew of them... and he had yet to make up his mind...

"Ta-daaaaaa!," Tino announced, wiggling the tips of his fingers dramatically, which were the only body parts not glued to the wall. "It's amaaaaaa-zing, folks! Step right up! Believe the unbelievable! It's Upside-Down Boy, live and in person! That's right--he's a boy, and he's upside-down! How does he do it? Nobody knows!"

Nobody else in the classroom seemed to notice, or care, for that matter. They were all busy with their own sticking experiments. But Tino was used to that. He had made his own imaginary audience long ago.

"Stay behind the rope and please don't touch, folks," he advised solemnly. "It's for your own protection."

”Touch what?” Aggie asked placing her hands on her hips. Honestly, boys are weird and all, but this one takes the cake. She made up her mind right then and there to have a long conversation with Tobi about this weird friend of his.

She stood back watching Tino wiggle and writhe against the invisible hand pinning him to the wall. His face, however, was turning a rather unattractive shade of pink and his tie had escaped from his shirt and was hanging in his face. “You look a little blood rushed there Tino…I think I should unstick you now.”

She pulled out her wand and pointed it at Tino. “Aveexis,” she said emphasizing the ‘e’ sound a bit too much. Nothing happened. Tino remained stuck on the wall. Oh, this isn’t good….

"Blood-rushed? You must be. . . imagining things." Tino took a ragged breath. "I'm fine. . . really." His head was starting to feel like a giant swollen grape. "Heads. . . can't explode, right?"

Tino's vision was starting to blur and dance. Interesting. I wonder what would happen if I stayed like this?

His stomach responded by lurching suddenly. The egg tart he'd had for lunch seemed to be complaining. "Um, Aggie? I think I wanna come down now."

"Because my dear I have just had the most brilliant idea and I promise you can do the same to me" Kayla clapped her hands gleefully. Oh if she pulled this off it will be absolutely awesome.

Kayla looked up at Jake and she called tell that he was rather hesitant. "Do you trust me?" Okay that might not have been the best question to ask, Jake didn't exactly know her that well and some of her ideas although brilliant in theory usually had dire consequences when put into action. She waved her hand as if to brush the thought aside, this one would work.

Jake stared down at Kayla for a second.

I. Am. About. To. Die.

"Sure, I trust you..." to a certain degree... Jake gulped and waited for Kayla to do whatever it was. Despite his feeling nervous, the first year was quite looking forward to whatever this idea was... it seemed enough to make Kayla all... happy.

Jake sighed. "Hit me... with whatever you're doing... don't actually hit me," Jake added hurriedly, sighing at the many indications of his idiocy.

”Rightio,” Aggie responded. Oh good, he didn’t notice my charm didn’t work. What to do? What to do? Aggie looked at her wand before shaking it a few times. “Listen you,” she told it quietly. “Cooperate and I’ll polish you when we get back to the common room.”

Believing her pep talk worked, Aggie brandished her wand at Tino. Only her wand flourishing was a bit over zealous. “Aveexis.”

Nothing happened at first, then slowly, Tino’s pants legs started to slid down his cafes. A few minutes later, Tino’s feet became unstuck, but his head remained plastered to the wall.

Oh soooo not good…

"Do you want to be the first to try the spell?" He asked as he remember what he had done to the chair earlier on. He looked at Ana with a fake smile. I hope she'll be okay when I've finished, he thought to himself. I wouldn't want to have to take her to the hospital wing. "So do you want to go first?"

"Ooh Jake, you are just going to love this" Kayla squealed while jumping up and down in excitement. "Lay down on the table Jake and place your arms and legs in the shape of a star fish." She ducked down underneath the table and pointed her wand at one of the legs, "Glisseo" she whispered and then repeated the spell on the other three legs of the table.

Kayla stood up and gave Celandine a fleeting glance, she's not the only one who could come up with great ideas for that spell. She looked back at Jake and gave him a serious look. "I would never hit you Jake." I'm just going to make you extremely dizzy for a while she thought, giving him an innocent smile.
