Twilight had gotten her bottle. She quietly practiced with her glue bottle and watched the fun. She smiled to herself she loved how the professors were all game to fun and teach them a lesson at the same time. She really liked her professor.

"ahd-high-row" mumbled Twilight to herself as she practiced the stick charm word. She shyly looked at her neighbor, a young Slytherin boy. "You want to partner?"she asked shyly.

When he had nodded, they took turns gluing each other to the wall, or rather he was very successful: he not only got her stuck to the wall on the first try of "Adhaero" but he had her stuck so well that she wasnt even moving or slipping or such.

And she o dear...... she was only managing to get him half stuck, at least she was getting the unstuck charm avexis right. Her partner was being very nice about the whole thing. (for a Slytherin especially)

"Could you show me where i am going wrong?" she shyly asked her partner. He took a paper, tore it and then showed her how real slow. Then she tried it "Adhaero" and she got it stuck. She started to jump up and down in excitement

"Maybe you and i can get together and study or you can tutor me?" she said very shyly.

He had her practice on him again "Adhaero!" .... and this time he actually stuck good enough that he claimed he was comfortable. SHe smiled and unglued him again. "Avexis!"

He actually smiled at her in a nice way when he was back down of the wall.

Daphne flinched slightly, mouthing an apology to her friend. There was no need to get so touchy! Waving her hand, Hopton discarded Celandine's irritability to young woman issues and hormonal unbalance. "I'll just use some parchment," spoke Daphne passively, reaching for the inside of her bags. She could have used Celandine's notes but she didn't want to risk the possibility of destroying them considering she hadn't bothered taking any herself.

Hazel eyes search for a target as she held the piece of parchment in front of her with two fingers. Drawing a rectangle around the paper as she chanted the incantation, Daphne's honey eyes found their target. "Aaaadhaaaaeeeeroooo!"

It soared out of her fingers and in Copernicus direction, sticking with a distinct squish to his derriere. Shifting her weight, Daphne titled her head. The idea seemed clever at the time however, retrieval of the weapon of attack--was going to be tricky. "Well, this is interesting..."

Celandine shot a scandalised look at Daphne, one that she had learned from Daphne herself. Turning her head slowly, Celandine took a moment to look at... the parchment.

"So... um.... now... the unsticking charm." Celandine gestured, attempting not to, but a pretty blush crossed her cheeks anyhow.

Daphne averted her eyes so as not to have to feel guilty about her actions. Truth was, sticking parchment to her arch nemesis derriere seemed more interesting than sticking parchment to the wall, or the seat or the desk...or sticking herself to the desk. Heaving a sigh she flicked her wand, wrist snapping as she took aim at the parchment. "Avexis!" muttered Daphne in a bored, one of the parchment's corner sticking still to Copernicus. "I think I said..." she muttered to herself and the disobeying wand. "AVEXIS!" The parchment finally detached itself from Kettleburn and fell slowly towards the ground.

Turning to Celandine she pointed her wand to the ceiling. "Do you know Origami?"

In hopes to redeem himself, Daniel raised his hand. "Professor, can I be the volunteer? Please..." He raised his hand in high hope of being chosen.

"Well," Celandine turned away from Copernicus as delibrately as she could considering there was no parchmenty excuse any more, "I don't know any charms for it but..." Celandine brightened, "If we both levitated the same piece of paper, and alternated directions and such, we could fold a paper crane!"

Alright so Celandine Toussaint was ambitious.

"Do you want to use the same piece of paper?" inquired Daphne, her nose wrinkling again as it tended when she suffered from unpleasant thoughts. That parchment had come in contact with Copernicus Kettleburn. The last thing Daphne Hopton wanted was to make a paper crane out of it.

Unless they took that very same paper, turned it into a paper crane and set fire to it.

"Sounds like a good design for an experiment," admitted Daphne more cheerfully than usual, glad for a distraction. "Let's pick a corner and direction. I call dibs on right. I like right."

"Needs to be thinner." Cela decided, using her taking charge voice. She marched over and picked up a sheet from the stack on the professor's desk and held it up to the light, "This will do." Cela skipped back toward Daphne and gestured to the ground before sitting down herself, sheet of paper in front of her.

"Hmmm. Diffindo!" Cela sliced the paper with her wand, cutting it into a perfect square and looked up at Daphne expectantly.

Oh.

Oh, well, Celandine was unexpectedly..."Should we work on one together or do you want me to--" Several hundred of paper cranes stuck to the ceiling tickled her fancy. Except, it probably wouldn't be a good idea to set them on fire afterward.

Pursing her lips, she reluctantly took a seat on the ground across from Celandine. "And now we fold in half," said Daphne simply waving her hands. "Then we have to open it and fold it in half to the contrary direction then open it again and fold it diago--" she paused, chuckling nervously. "You probably knew that. You're the boss!"

"Yes." Cela agreed, "But we are doing it with our wands." Cela levitated the paper, "Wingardium Leviosa!" And now Daphne would have to try to levitate it the other way to fold it.

Sure there had to be an easier way, but how cool would it be to stick a paper crane to the ceiling?

"Oh, very clever," remarked Daphne aiding Celandine in her levitating, before switching the direction to fold the paper artfully. It was a good thing she had learned this spell in her first year. It would be pretty pathetic to muck it up at the age of 13. "Okay, that's set!" declared the blond with pursed lips. "We should switch directions now. At the count of three?"

"Three!" Celandine agreed, switching directions happily, focusing on the paper and flicking her wand to turn it over. At each fold and crease, Celandine flicked her wand again and adjusted where necessary so that their opposing spells worked together rather than tearing the paper.

As she worked, methodically keeping a mental inventory of how many folds and creases they had accomplished with their wand work already, Daphne began to sing in a low voice. She often did when she worked happily, most of the time in secrecy in her Mother's garden.

When she was five she had told her Mother she wanted to be a singer. That dream was promptly crushed with a swift spanking and an order to go practice her Cello.

Without her noticing it, the crane had already been accomplished. "Oh, well that's pretty!" cooed Daphne as she kept levitating the paper creation alongside Celandine. It was almost like it was flying on its own--except, it wasn't of course. "Should we make a few more before we go sticking them in places?"

Cela nodded and dropped her wand, letting Daffy take control of the paper crane. "Well... I might try..." Cela pointed her wand and did the wand movement straight out of the advanced textbook she'd been reading, "Geminio!" She watched as precisely half of a paper crane was replicated and fell to the floor. Wrinkling her nose Celandine nodded at Daphne, "Yeah, let's make a few more.... whole ones."

Flick. Flick. Flutter.

A crooked grin tugged at one corner of her lips. Daphne had an idea where should stick this one. Right on C--"Oooh!" exclaimed Daphne in awe at the half-crane sprawled on the floor as if it had suffered an unjust death. "That was really close Celandine. I'm sure with some practice you can do it. Okay, let's make another."

Daphne put down the paper crane to pick up the remaining parchment instead. "Diffindo!"Using her wand, she sliced another perfect square from it. She flicked her wand again. "Wingardium Leviosa! Okay..." she drawled concentrating on her work. "One more."

"I'll practice in the summer." Celandine decided, there and then before flicking and swishing her wand, "Wingardium Leviosa!" Celandine concentrated hard, enjoying the feeling of working with someone else and the sensation of her magic and Daphne's grappling the paper between them like a pair of hands belonging to the same artist.

Hmmm Paper Crane awesomeness!

Could it be for all her stubbornness, that Daphne Hopton was finding working in pairs quite enjoyable? At least she wasn't sticking herself to the wall and preoccupying herself over the fact that perhaps she should have worn tights, dark ones at that. At least it would make her knees look less block-y. Before she even realized it, the second paper crane had been constructed and Daphne lowered it slowly next to the first one made, resisting all urge to flick it towards an unexpected victim's earlobe.

A paper crane clip on. Ha. Ha.

Well, at least the idea was funny to her. Laughing to herself softly, she pointed at the remainder of the paper. "I think we can manage to make a smaller one out of that. Let's give it a try," added Daphne levitating the square piece of parchment.

Once they had done all of the paper cranes, Celandine lay them out on the patch of ground between them. "Okay. Where to stick?"

Cela looked around for a few moments before tilting her head back and staring at the ceiling musingly. "Up?" she asked speculatively.

"We could stick them up," Daphne remarked with a secretive smile, glancing up at the ceiling with sparkly eyes. "Or," she drawled leaning against Celandine's shoulder to point at the Ravenclaw girl in the distance and whisper. "We can stick one on her ankle. It's a small area so the difficulty should be more than the ceiling that way we can further practice not only the sticking charm but our aim and accuracy with spells."

At least that was her logic.

Cela looked at said ankle and shook her head emphatically, "Daphne I can't lose any more points." Cela levitated one of the paper cranes and pointed at the ceiling with her free hand, "Ready?"

Elizabeth pretended to pout as Ludo teased her about her question, joking that he'd leave her on the wall like a piece of gum. "Nice to know you like me that much," she said, continuing her fake pout, even though she was struggling not to smile. Especially when her little stunt worked, and he showed fear that she was actually going to stick a piece of paper to him.

She watched as he stuck two pages to the wall at once, before she heard Professor Ashby announce they were continuing, and then watched as the Gryffie from Potions, who she now found out was named Tobi, got stuck to the wall, before they were instructed to do the same with their partners. Grinning, she turned back to Ludo. "So who wants to be first?," she said to him, hoping he wouldn't actually leave her stuck to the wall. As far as she knew, he still liked her, so she hoped he wouldn't.

John looked at his partner "Do you want to go first?" He smiled John hadn't done that much lately.

We have to stick our partner's to the wall?!
Was he insane? We have just learnt the charm and already it had to be used on something...heavier than paper?
I barely managed to stick that to the wall!
Glancing over at Mariel,Sarah watched as she prepared herself by tying her hair back.She could feel the fear rise up in her as Mariel looked at her.She could tell her friend was slightly nervous...who could blame her? It is after all ME sticking her to the wall!
Sarah gulped hard and grinned in a way she hoped would signal confidence.

Standing opposite the desk that Mariel had clambered onto,Sarah tried to stop her wand hand from shaking.If I get this wrong I will be visiting my friend in the hospital ward cos she'll have two broken legs.
She snapped out of her thoughts when Mariel said she was ready. OK now or never.
"You sure? You don't want a little more time...so I can run away? Kidding...." Not really,that is what she wanted to do.Not what was going to happen though.She had to do this.
Stepping forward she started with her wand at the top of Mariel's head and worked her way clock-wise from there.
"Addddddhhhhhaaaeeeerrroooooo...." She managed to get as far as her feet before running out of breath. "Hold still,just need to inhale some more air." Taking in as deep a breath as she could,while not moving her wand,she then continued. "Adddddddhhhhhhhhaaaaaeeeeerrrrooooooo." Finished.She hoped.
"Right,I'll pull the desk away now then.OK?" She smiled at Mariel hoping maybe she wouldn't end up in a heap on the floor.
Grabbing the edge of the table she tugged slowly and to her relief Mariel was still attached to the wall.It had worked!

Still grinning at the fact she had got it right,Sarah almost forgot she had to unstick her too.OK.Pushing the table back so it was firmly in place,she stood back and cast "Avexis" at her friend.

Typical, stick me up there and leave me there... This will mean some SERIOUS wedgie time... Jake thought to himself, nodding uncertainly to Kayla. Maybe it was better if he was stuck up there first. If he did something wrong, Jake could have a head start on the fleeing without having to come back and be submitted to her torture later.

"So, I just stand against the wall... you stick me up there and pull the table away," Jake clarified, approached a table near a wall. "And then let me down..." He seemed to be reassuring himself more than anything.

I'm in capable hands... he thought to himself.

Staring at the table ahead of him, Jake reached for the opposite side of it and attempted to haul himself up, but he was having difficulty with getting on to the bloody thing.

"Stupid height," he muttered, scrambling to pull himself on and failing miserably.

"To the wall or try the spell?" she asked with a smile.
