John looked at the Professor. "What you going to do?" He asked hoping the Professor would tell him.

Without touching him with her skin, Cela gave Raiden a sideways hug, "How come you got so brave all of a sudden?" she'd definitely make sure he had a saddle too. Celandine smiled brightly at Tobi when he volunteered too, and she shifted her weight to one hip while she waited to hear what was going to happen.

Jake began to raise his hand uncertainly. He always loved to volunteer... but maybe Ashby was luring them into a false sense of security with his niceness. As Jake's hand stretched out ahoy above, he noticed a few others volunteer, which was more than the one he'd asked for. Darn it, too late...

William was unsure of weather he wanted to volunteer or not. In every class that asked for volunteers he was never picked and had gotten to the point where he forgot all about doing it. He would just sit stand back and wait to see what would happen.

"Excellent! Tobi, come on up! Ian motioned for the boy to come to the front of the classroom.

"Sorry, but I've already got my volunteer. Thank you, though."

"Oh, you'll see...."

He turned back to Tobi and said, "If you would please climb up onto this table and stand with your back against the wall, I would very much appreciate it." Yeah, you guessed it.

Tobi wondered a little if he was losing his mind, because charms was by no means his best subject, but he stepped up to the front of the classroom anyway.

He found the instructions totally bizarre, but then, Professor Ashby wasn't the benchmark for normal, so he took a giant step up onto the desk and placed himself, back to the wall, looking out at the classroom, only a little apprehensively.

"Like this?" he asked.

Raiden pulled his hand down and watched as Tobi followed the professor's instructions, smiling at Cela as she half-hugged him. He returned the gesture, making sure not to touch skin-to-skin as she had warned him against it earlier. He was starting to feel a bit relieved that the boy had raised his hand before him... because there was glue and walls involved. He could only guess what was about to happen.

"Perfect!" Ashby exclaimed.

"Now watch carefully class, as this is what you will be doing with your partners..."

Ian turned back to Tobi. "You ready? Regardless, I'm starting!" Ian took his wand and began to trace the outline of the boy while saying the charm. About a third of the way through, Ian ran out of breath, stopped the spell, and said, "Don't move." He took a deep breath and continued the spell, never lifting his wand.

Once he was finished, he looked up at Tobi. "On the count of three. One...Two...THREE!" As he shouted out the word 'three,' Ashby flicked away the desk with his wand.

Tobi was hanging from the wall.

"See? Not so hard, now is it?"

"Maybe not for you" Kayla replied sparing a small glance at her partner Jake. Why was she so intent on having first years as partners, she looked up at the wall and had an uneasy feeling that she might be up there for a while.

Qaz knew what was coming, so she jumped the gun on her partner and said, 'Copernicus, you get to play stickee first!' Then laughed.

Jake stared wide-eyed at Professor Ashby for a moment, wondering if the man had actually lost it. "Oh..." he started, meaning to swear but just about catching himself. "Erm... not good..."

Whyyyyyyy must you torture me in this way?! Jake screamed in his mind, having a bad feeling about what he might end up 'accomplishing'."Are you having me on?" he asked, dumbfounded.

Eyeing Kayla and hearing her speak, Jake realised he probably wasn't anyone's first choice to be a partner with in this class, and it all finally made sense xD.

You can't really say, No get away, don't adhere me to the wall, Nuuuu! to your Professor. So Tobi could only stare wildly about while he was victim to Professor Ashby's mad schemes.

When the table flew out from beneath his feet Tobi gave an audible squeal.

I don't wanna do this anymore!!!!

"So," he asked, his voice a full octave higher than normal, (his pants were riding up, you see) "When can I get down?"

Any time soon would be... ESSENTIAL!

Daphne sidled next to Celandine, nudging Raiden aside softly. "I'm afraid you're just too young to participate in such a strenuous practical exercise," informed Daphne with a small shake of her head, blond waves and pink ribbon swaying with her movements. "Leave this to me," finished Daphne placing a hand on her chest pretending to be the biggest humanitarian there was.

In reality, she just didn't like sharing Celandine Toussaint.

Secretly amused, Daphne smirked at Tobias Avalon's figure adhered to the wall. From his pants legs she could see his scrawny ankles revealed to the entire class thanks to Professor Ashby's wand work. "I think Tobias needs a pair of new socks," remarked Daphne deadpan, noticing how the stretched elastic of his white socks allowed them to pool over his shoes.

William gawked wide-eyed as the boy was on the wall, nothing holding him up. "cool." he muttered, now leave him there he thought to himself with a smirk. He looked at his partner, "You want to hang first?" He asked, realizing what he said and chuckled, "I mean, you want to be on the wall first?" He said in a much better way. He knew he could do it, but it did seem to take a lot out of effort and energy and he was beginning to wonder if he had it in him.

"Oh, yes. So sorry there, Tobi!" Ian said, quickly releasing the boy from the wall.

"Class, when you stick your partner up on the wall, please do be quick in releasing them."

Now it was just time to sit back and watch the hilarity.

Gloved hands tight behind her back, Cela resisted the urge to reach out and give Tobi a tiny little zap on his exposed ankle. Instead she looked between Raiden and Daphne and shrugged philosophically before linking her arm with Daphne's and turning back to watch the demonstration.

"When we start, do you want to stick first or be stuck first?" After all, Cela had already been up on the wall.

"Fine," Copernicus heaved a sigh and climbed up to stand against the wall. "Just... be careful, please. I'd like to have my hair and robes back as they were," he teased.

"Is that a rhetorical question? replied Daphne with a wrinkle of her nose. She'd much rather do neither but seeing as that wasn't an option, Miss Hopton heaved a sigh. "I suppose, I could get stuck first."

Instinct told her she wouldn't like it.

Celandine nodded and pointed at a sturdy looking desk, "Up!" She told Daffy, much like she was commanding a broom. Cela brandished her wand, ready to stick Daphne to the wall.

Qaz grinned at Copernicus, 'Trust me.' She began tracing his outline. 'Aaadddhhaaaeeerrroooooo.Aaadddhhaaaeeerrroooooo.A aadddhhaaaeeerrroooooo.' GASP 'Aaadddhhaaaeeerrroooooo.Aaadddhhaaaeeerrroooooo.'

GASP. 'Okay....looks stuck to me' As she quickly pulled the desk out and left him hanging...then just as quickly pushed the desk back. 'Aweksiss!'

She tilted her head, 'Well?'

Kayla turned to Jake and gave him a smile, you know trying to reassure the youngster that she had complete and utter faith in his abilities. "Soooo...maybe I should stick you on the wall first, so that you can see how it's done and..."she gulped a little..."then it's my turn on the wall."

Oh yes the fun was now about to begin because little did Jake know, she wasn't exactly an expert at this charm either. Oh she was a lot better than he was but she still had to work out the kinks.

"Eeep!" Squealed Tobi as he dropped unceremoniously the 3 feet to the floor, jarring his knees upon impact.

"Well, that was fun..." he said dryly, straightening up. "Thanks Professor."

Startled, she looked from the desk to Celandine twice before deciding that protesting wouldn't get her anywhere. Hands on the back of her skirt, Daphne climbed on the chair, then on the desk, carefully making sure she didn't lose her balance. Once her back was against the wall, Miss Hopton couldn't help but raise a brow at her friend.

"Mind you, I don't suppose we could do this some way where I wouldn't show everyone what is beneath my skirt, could we?"

Celandine put her hands on her hips and frowned at Daphne seriously, "Nobody is looking up your skirt, Daphne Hopton." With that Cela pointed her wand and began tracing Daphne's outline, Adhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrroooooooo!" She took a breath, "Aaaaaaddhaaaaaaaaeeeeeerrrrrrooooooooo!"

Cela gingerly reached forward with her gloved hand and tugged on Daffy's skirt. "I think you are stuck. Ready?" Cela didn't wait for an answer before pulling the desk away.

"No, I'm not ready!" protested Daphne hands flying to her front despite Celandine's reassurance that there will be no peeping. Letting out a loud yelp, she hanged there, legs stiff with nerves. "I see you're still very good at Charms. Good work."

Reluctantly, she allowed her consciousness to process her slight fear of falling.
