Copernicus cleared his throat and glanced around the room. This was the part he hated the most. Who... could he find as a partner. He reached over and tapped Anna's shoulder. "Anna?"

Well, it did seem quite easy. The spell, that is. But this Ashby left Sloanne with a slight dilemma. She didn't know anyone in this class, and didn't know who to partner up with. She sat up straighter, looking over the class trying to find another person who was also sitting alone.

"Cadence, do you want to be my partner?" Set asked.
"Jinx" he said. Ha Ha

Juniper was startled when her name was practically shouted. She looked around, absolutely bewildered, and smiled when she saw who it was. "Of course, Becca," she said. Well, that was the partner problem solved. "I guess we should get a locked chest to practice on, then?" She beamed at the younger girl and began gently pushing Becca toward the professor's desk.

Oh, finally! Someone had found her amidst the chaos! "Copernicus," she said, standing up and smiling. "Come on, partner. We're supposed to go retrieve one of those locked chests up by the professor's desk." Anna waved her hand in a "Come on" motion and then headed up to the front of the room. "Alright, grab one side of the chest, and I'll get the other," she said, balling her fist around the handle on the left side of the trunk.

Cadence giggled a little at his "jinx". Of course I want to be your partner! she said. They walked up to the Professor's desk.

Professor, may we have a chest please?

Herminny was lazily looking around the room for a partner

Kayla looked around the room for someone to partner up with. Why was she always the last one to get a partner? Where was Varius when you needed him?

Jake stared at Cameron wide-eyed for a second, then it made sense. "You lost Bob?" he asked, remembering when Cameron was talking in his sleep on the train.

"Calm down, Cameron," he said. "Partner with me... and we'll get a chest?"

A sigh of relief escaped from Becca's chest. "Whew. Thanks. I didn't want to get stuck with someone I didn't like, so I had to jump on the opportunity, you know?" She beamed and nodded in agreement, marching up to the professor's desk to retrieve one of the locked chests. The Ravenclaw returned with one in her arms and smiled with satisfaction. "Mission complete, captain!" Hey, she had to be respectful to her elders.

Allie looked around the room. She needed to find a partner. It looked liek almost everyone had one already. Soon there was going to be liek no one left.

Herminny was getting her second wind and saw Troy asked him if he would partner with her

She made a face as her sister had already found a partner. She walked over to Kayla. "you want to partner up?" She asked her.

"Hi would you like to partner up with me?" said Twilight, "My name is Twilight I am from Hufflepuff, what is your name?"

THen she looked shyly to hr feet and blushed.

An extremely angry face came upon him when Jake mentioned Bob and he tried best not to slap the heck out of the guy. Oh Bob, his imaginary friend who was... murdered by the guy that was standing right in front of him. It was weird for him to be angry but this was a personal matter. Bob, his ex-best friend. Bob, the guy who made him poke. Bob, the one that had all of the Bob-ness. Now this guy was asking him if he lost Bob?! "Whaddya mean, EH? You ate Bob," he sniffled, "he told me himself!"

Now Jake, the Bob-eater wanted to partner with him. Oh well it was better than nuthin'. So he dragged Jake the Bob-eater with him straight towards the professor's desk to get the chest.

"Why yes Paris, dahling I would be honoured" Kayla gave the younger girl a wink and gestured for her to sit beside her.

Ian watched as all the students partnered up. Their willingness to help each other learn warmed his heart.

"Remember, once you have partnered up, come on up and get your locked chest!"

OOC: Once you have your chest, feel free to practice the charm. Remember that not everyone gets the charm correct on their first try. Also, if you're having a trouble finding a partner, Ian can help you all partner up...or you can just pretend one of your friends is there and say they are your character's partner.

Also, PLEASE try to keep the chatter to a minimum.

Copernicus followed her obediently up to the front and took hold of the other side of the chest. "And where do you want to try this? Back at our desks, or maybe off to the side in case we send it soaring across the room and toward some innocent first year?"

Tobi noticed Allie, who he remembered a bit from Muggle Studdies last term, looking around the room, she didn't seem to have a partner yet, he approached her.

"Want to partner up?" he asked. "I'm rubbish at charms but I'll try not to let any backfire in your direction."

Dominic perked up the moment the Professor had mentioned something about partners. Couldn't they just practice on their own!? Without partners; but then again, there were probably budget cuts and they had limited supplies of locked chests. Right - partners before points were docked or something due to slowness. Glancing around, he spotted the other Hufflepuff Prefect along with few other familiar faces. But none he fancied working on charms with. And then he saw her; the quiet but kind girl from Ravenclaw - Mystery Girl, whom he now knew to be Willow.

Walking over towards the fifth year, he bit his lower lip nervously. Oh c'mon Denton, just ask ... not like it's a date or anything ...

"Uh. Partners?" He finally managed to say.

Juniper positively grinned as Becca seemed to imply that she liked her. She moved to follow the other girl to help her with the chest, but before she got very far Becca brought one back. And Juniper blinked in surprise. She opened her mouth to comment, but then closed it again in favor of blinking more. "Oh," she finally said.

Now for actually practicing the charm. "You can go first, if you'd like," Juniper offered. "Since you went to get it. You deserve to go first."

Jake was about to comment that he was NOT a cannibal, when Cameron yanked him up to get a chest. Curse my lack of strength, Jake thought as he reached for a chest.

"Pfft..." Jake muttered. "That name is sooooooo 60 years ago."

He turned to look at Cameron, waiting to be dragged back, as he was too weak to go on his own. "You're first..."

Okay, I guess I just take one without him giving one to me. Well, she had asked first, at least. She took the Professor's anouncement to the class to mean she chould just take one, so she grabbed a locked chest and walked back over to where she and Set had been sitting. She placed it on the desk and took a few steps back from the chest, pulling out her wand as she went. She firmly grasped her wand in her hand, pointing it steadily at the lock on the chest. The accent is on the second syllabal, right? she asked him.

When Copernicus had grasped the other side of the chest, Anna turned and led the way back down the aisles of the classroom. "Hmm...although it'd be fun to send the chest soaring across the room and toward some innocent firstie," she joked, "we better find an area off to the side. Oh, let's go to that fairly-empty area in the back." She stopped long enough to point to the area she was mentioning and then started walking once again. When they'd made their way to the area she'd chosen, Anna placed her end of the chest lightly on the floor and then looked up at Copernicus. "So, do you want to go first, or would you like me to try it?" she asked.

Set and Cadence got their chest. Set was still very mad for the unfair points the professor had taken from Cadence and himself. He was DEFINITLY favoring Ravenclaws. "Ok, Alohamora!" he said with force, (as his 'sbook had instructed!) it worked. So he decided to re-lock the lock. "Colloportus!" Set scremed, as the lock re-locked itsekf. "I love magic" Set said. set had compltely missed her question (OOC: before writing my post). "Yes, I belive so!" Set said to her.
