"Mister Masterson?" Freya asked from the tank, "Did you bring that panda to try and distract us from our job? Because it might be working!" She laughed a little bit and proceeded to unlock some of the remaining restraints. Ah well, the panda was a nice addition to the room...sooooo cute!

Rian's eyes widened slightly as the professor jumped into the tank. What a completely idiotic thing to do! she thought, but hopped right out of her seat. She hurried to the tank, and, finding a still-locked lock, grabbed it in her hand.

Okay...one, two, three...

"Alohamora!" She said, pointing her wand at the lock. She frowned when the lock stayed...well, firmly locked. Shaking her head, she cast the spell again, not knowing why it hadn't worked in the first place. She smirked slightly when it opened. Stupid lock, she thought as she watched the chain sink to the bottom of the tank.

The students were doing splendidly and Ian could not be more proud! He could do no more than smile from ear to ear when he heard the clunk of at least 6 more locks hitting the bottom of the tank.

He didn't try to hard. (Just kidding). "Alohamora!" set screamed. He yelled it three times. He saw other students do the same. "Alohamora!" he screamed over and over til the proffessor emerged.

Agie was standing right next to the screaming boy, his screaming made her jump, making her drop her wand. "OI! What's with the screaming?" Agie said annoyed picking up her wand. "We aren't deaf, you don't have to scream it to make the charm more powerful." She said with another dirty look.

Agie then returned her attention back on the class. 'Alohamora' She said calmly, looking back at the huffie to show him how it is done.

Ahhh, it worked. They had all released the professor.

Anna sure hoped Professor Ashby was a good swimmer---or, at least a person who was able to hold his breath for long periods of time while underwater. Anna wasn't sure, but it looked like the students were making a bit of progress as far as the locks were concerned. Well, no use standing around contemplating their amounts of success. The students had a professor to save! Anna raised her wand once again and called out a strong, "Alohomora!" Just in case, she called out the spell once again. She didn't want to waste any time trying to figure out if the first one worked or not. "Alohomora!"

Kayla pointed her wand at one of the locks on the professor, "Alohomora" she said loudly and confidently and was pleased to see the lock fall to the bottom of the tank. Oh wow this was fun, probably too much to ask for one of the students to try being locked up.

Egyptian_Blue 02-10-2009 01:30 AM

Nikita gave a little laugh as she turned from the panda. I wonder if Harry Houdini knew he'd be helping real witches and wizards learn their spells, she thought, very amused. This was turning out to be more fun that worrisome. And - another Alohamora from her throat dropped a lock - the unlocking charm was clearly becoming easier for her.

BeccaBear 02-10-2009 01:30 AM

What was the Professor thinking? This had to be a death trap. She stood and watched as everyone helped him inot the straight jacket..she was scared she would mess something up-if that was even possible.
Once he had said go, she pointed her wand into the tank and said,
"ALOHOMORA!" she said. She saw a open and fall down to the bottom of the tank. She smiled, and then kept on trying to unlock as many locks as she could.

cake.ninjak 02-10-2009 01:31 AM

LOL at the whale reference

Five more locks fell to the bottom of the tank and the chains were becoming very loose. Soon enough, he would be able to wriggle himself out of the chains and breach the surface of the water.

There were only three left to go!

hufflepuff_keeper_11 02-10-2009 01:31 AM

"I'm not screaming literally! I'm just saying the incantation really loudly!" set said to the rude girl. He was sorry for being enthusuastic about charms. The proffessor DID say to put some force into it!

CruppieMom89 02-10-2009 01:31 AM

Alohamora! Cadence said, pointing at one of the last locks and smiling a little at Set's defending himself. She rather liked him...

EquestrianGal88 02-10-2009 01:33 AM

Freya flicked her wand to another lock and watched it fall to the bottom, then listened to some of the students bickering. 'Oh brother...if I'd acted like that in homeschool...' She shook her head. Too bad it was none of her business.

Cale had been trying to squeeze his way into the crowd and get at one of the locks, but everyone had been too quick for him. Determined to help the endangered professor, he raised his wand and aimed at the lock nearest to him. "Alohomora!" he said, holding his breath to see if the spell would work or not.

Constantine chuckled lightly at the girl's comment, getting up from the chair. "You must focus, my dear," he smiled, walking towards her, watching as they all continued to undo the locks that restrained his beloved uncle. Just to be a bit of a bother, he lifted the panda a little and the panda stuck his nose in the girl's ear, sniffing amusedly and then licking the side of her face.

"OI!" he said loudly himself, glaring at the two students who seemed to feel the need to start an argument right here. "How about you all focus your beloved voices into saving the professor? You're not five year olds. If this was a real life situation, would you all sit around a campfire and just yell at each other? I didn't think so; act mature!"

"Nice shot!" Freya told the boy who was in the back and witnessed the lock unhinge. "I've never seen that before..."

"I am focusing, I can multitask." She looked back to the tank and felt something touch her. "Ahhh!" Freya's head whipped around and came face to face with the panda. "Awww, sorry, sweety. You startled me is all." It was so cute, that little face!

"No you were definitely screaming. I know this because I can still hear the ringing in my ear!" She said with a smart smile. And turned her back on the boy. She was done and now looked to see what the professor was doing.

She had done her best to help the professor and was trying to TEACH other students on how to cast spells properly.

HippogriffLover94 02-10-2009 01:40 AM

Amelia focused harder then she ever had before and cried "Alohomora." Then started laughing as she saw one of the locks come undone. I can't believe I did it!

hufflepuff_keeper_11 02-10-2009 01:41 AM

Set thought, "If you don't shut up, there'll be something ELSE in your ear! Like my wand!" If only he could have said that!

Anna Banana 02-10-2009 01:41 AM

Set and Agie

Anna lowered her wand and approached a nearby Hufflepuff (Merlin only his name) and her friend and fellow Gryffindor, Agie. "Psst!" Anna said, addressing the Hufflepuff. "You two better ignore one another and focus on the task if you want to stay out of trouble. They'll dock points for sure!"

"Agie Brandywine!" Anna hissed, taking on a prefect sort of tone with her friend. "There is a PROFESSOR submerged into a tank of a water. Will you two pipe down and cast the spell?" Anna smiled at both Set and Agie to show that she wasn't angry, just trying to keep them on task for the sake of someone's life. Anna raised her wand once again, pointed it at the tank, and called out "Alohomora!"

Tobi scarcely even noticed the Groundskeeper until he barked at some students who were arguing. He was good at blocking things out, except arguing and the one going on to his left quickly caused him to bring his shoulders up around his ears.

Can't we all just get along? he wondered

cake.ninjak 02-10-2009 01:42 AM

And with that, the last of the locks fell to the bottom of the tank, followed by the chains, and then Ian's feet. Huzzah! He was free!

He quickly pushed to the surface of the tank and stood up, taking in a breath of fresh air. "You were all fantastic!" he exclaimed. "I knew you all would save me!"

He didn't dare tell them he had cast that bubble-head charm. "Thank you all for your assistance, and of course thanks to you as well, Mr. Masterson." He nodded and winked at his nephew and turned back to the class.

"Well, that will be all for today, class. For your homework, I would like you to simply practice the charm with the locks over there by the window. Please take one each and go around the school, finding something to place the lock on. Then, all you have to do is unlock it!

If you have any questions about today's lesson, feel free to ask me after or come by my office. Other than that, you are free to go after you have picked up your lock! Have a wonderful day, everyone!"

OOC: Just RP yourself locking up something and then unlocking it with the charm. Creativity is much appreciated. :D
As for submission, please send me a link to the post (or quote the post in a PM) and send it to me. Further instructions for homework can be found here

Cadence, who had now dropped her wand stepped close to Set giving him a "Please calm down" look and brushed her hand against his before turning to go pick up one of the locks and walking over to the desk where all her things still were and began packing up.

druidflower 02-10-2009 01:45 AM

Tobi went and grabbed himself a lock.

He stared at it apprehensively as he gathered his books together. "I'm going to do someone an injury with this, I just know it," he fretted.

HippogriffLover94 02-10-2009 01:46 AM

Amelia smiled and packed up her things. "Thanks so much Professor. Even my sister couldn't get me to do that charm right. And she's taught me so much!" She smiled at him, went to get a lock, and then left the classroom.

Mell 02-10-2009 01:49 AM

Kayla made her way over to the window and picked up one of the locks and placed it into her bag and headed to the front of the class. "Great lesson Professor, hope you have a great day." She made her way out of the classroom in the hopes of finding Varius, she had some cool ideas.
