HINT.

Sir Cadence said raising her hand. Was he the one who would tie himself up and then get fully submerged in a tank of water and try to escape in a short amount of time?

SweetAussie 02-10-2009 12:36 AM

OH! Agie had heard of him. Her younger sister was very much into the muggle magic thing. "Professor, there was a milk can act he used to preform."

Waterloo 02-10-2009 12:37 AM

Clifford blinked at everyone elses answers. He hadn't heard of this Harry Whatsisface bloke.. but there was NOOOOOO way he was locking himself in a tank full of water.

No way. Never gonna happen. The end.

Felixir 02-10-2009 12:37 AM

GASP!!!!!

"You have Harry Houdini in a box?!" Jake exclaimed. Lemme outta heeeeeeeeeeere!!!!!

Mrs. Weasley 02-10-2009 12:37 AM

Is it Harry Houdini's Water Upside Down Water Torture Cell?"

highjinx 02-10-2009 12:38 AM

Cam looked at Jake with a surprised look. A box where they could keep put him in? Was that some sort of a threat? He didn't know but he continued listening to professor as he talked about a magician named Houdini. I think I've heard of him. He almost--IS THE PROFESSOR GONNA TRY DOING ONE OF THE ACTS?! Pushing his chair away he almost closed his eyes in fear. Or maybe they were... he had a loooot of ideas in his mind. "Professor, is any of us gonna go in that box?"

HippogriffLover94 02-10-2009 12:38 AM

"Oh, my mum used to love him. Um...could it be one of those boxes then...many chains on the outside, with no air holes...and he'd pretend to escape?" Amelia said. She couldn't remeber the exact name

hufflepuff_keeper_11 02-10-2009 12:39 AM

'ya, i lived as a muggle. is it's one o' those get sawed in half boxes? That's probobly not what its called, but you get the point!" Set said.

EquestrianGal88 02-10-2009 12:40 AM

Freya raised her hand, "Sir, if you need a volunteer, I would be more than happy to go in the tank myself." She gave a wide smile, maybe this would be just the thing to help her. "If it is a tank..."

"Is he a Muggle escape magician? Didn't he lock himself in boxes and pretend to escape from them?"

"That is correct!"

'I've heard of him.' Freya thought. She raised her hand, "Does that mean it is a water tank?" At least she was close. 'Death-defying...coffin...'

"Ding ding ding! We have a winner!"

Ian chuckled at the disbelief on this boy's face.

Ian just could not stop laughing! These kids were all too funny. "No, no. None of you are going in there."

"Almost."

Ian spoke a little louder to the class in order to regain control. "As many of you have now guessed, this is a water escape tank of sorts. However, none of you will be placed in there. Instead, you will be helping me escape! I have here a straight jacket, which, if a few of you will be so kind to help me into, I will wear. After that, I will be wrapped in chains galore, with, and here's how it relates to the lesson, locks all over them."

He stared out at his class with a very serious look on his face. "Your task is to work together to unlock the locks and chains that keep me confined to this straight jacket. I hope you all know your stuff!"

Of course, he had no intention if actually endangering anyone's life. He planned on casting a small bubble-head charm over his nose to allow him to breathe, but he wasn't about to tell the students that.

"So will someone please help me into this straight jacket and lock me up in the chains? They're on my desk."

SweetAussie 02-10-2009 12:44 AM

Agie's hand shot up in the air. "Oh I'd love to have a go!"

EquestrianGal88 02-10-2009 12:46 AM

"I will! Please!" Freya raised her hand. She'd had to use a straight jacket before...it was creepy but kind of fun in a way. She knew how to put one on.

CruppieMom89 02-10-2009 12:46 AM

Cadence raised her hand to volunteer to help the Professor. She wasn't nervous. she knew the class could do it!

Lissy Longbottom 02-10-2009 12:47 AM

Cale raised his hand. He knew of this guy! It also kind of worried him that the professor was bringing him up--he wasn't gonna try one of those stunts HIMSELF was he? "That would be Harry Houdini, Professor," he answered.

hufflepuff_keeper_11 02-10-2009 12:49 AM

An oppurtunity to tie up the teacher had taken the only points from him all year (and given him a refferal). He couldn't miss this! "I'll help you proffessor!" Set said eagarly!

HINT.

Anna raised her hand, her mind quickly forming ideas as to what exciting adventures the professor had planned next. "I've heard of him, Professor. He got his start when he was no more than about six-years-old. His mother would back these wonderful apple pies, you see, and Harry would sneak into the kitchen before dinner and eat the entire pie before anyone else could figure out where it'd gone off to! None of his family members could ever catch him in the act. Once, Harry's mother decided to catch the burgular by locking a pie inside a cabinet. Harry was so talented that he was able to pick the lock and steal the pie, regardless of how strong his mother's lock was!" she explained. She then eyed the professor, smiling mischievouslly at what she thought was coming up next. "Professor, are you going to lock yourself inside some chest and attempt an escape?" she asked. She gulped nervously and then glanced around at her classmates. "Or...are we?"

OOC: ^^ You posted before I could submit that.

Anna raised her hand once again, thrilled at the opportunity to see one of her professor's perform such an amazing stunt. "Oh, professor! I'd like to help!" she exclaimed.

Egyptian_Blue 02-10-2009 12:49 AM

Nikita gulped. There was no way that she was going to help a Professor attempt to drown himself. No way. She looked around the room, not at all sure about this. Some of the students could handle it, but what about those few who were too young or too show off-y or just too idiotic to not mess up?

However, Professor Ashby looked confident about this, so he must have had a plan for emergencies. Either way, Nikita preferred to do the saving not the trapping.

PadfootAndTheWolf 02-10-2009 12:51 AM

Chris Potter watched anxiously as to what the Professor will do.

Lissy Longbottom 02-10-2009 12:51 AM

OOC: Sorry I posted a late answer xD Computer spazzed and took forever to post

Cale looked around and nearly gasped. Oh noes! He WAS gonna try and do that to himself. This wasn't going to end well, Cale could feel it, somewhere in his stomach. "Erm, professor, what if no one can get you out?" he asked, raising his hand with a worried expression.

Waterloo 02-10-2009 12:51 AM

Clifford simply watched in horror. There was no way he was helping lock the Professor in that scary jacket. Nope. He was smart. If the Professor died in that water tank, he didn't want to be held responsible and sent to Azkaban!

Felixir 02-10-2009 12:52 AM

Jake's eyes went wide. No. Nonononono...

"Nooooooo!!!!!" he cried out. He'd seen his spell he'd seen everyone else's. "Nooooo... You'll die, Professor, No!!!!!" He couldn't let his favourite Professor be killed by them. Jake'd probably seal it more. "Nononononono!!!!!"

That was it, it was final. Jake wasn't going to kill someone. Settled. He was petrified as it was... he'd always hated escapists tricks. The sticker merchant couldn't do this!

"No."

Unless he'd lose points.

cake.ninjak 02-10-2009 12:52 AM

Ian was standing up in front of the class waiting. "Well, if you're going to help me, come on up and help me!

"And just for safety reasons," Ian added, "I have asked Mr. Masterson here to assist."

He motioned toward the door of the classroom waiting for Neo to appear.

EquestrianGal88 02-10-2009 12:53 AM

Freya walked up to the front of the room...quickly. "What shall I start with first?" She asked as she lifted up the jacket, admiring the straps and buckles. Oh this was going to be fun...

Cadence walked up to the front of the room and began helping the professor put on the straight jacket and chains.

druidflower 02-10-2009 12:55 AM

Well this should be interesting. Tobi thought as he watched Mr Ashby at the front of the class.

I hope we don't have to be able to do this too, or I'm in serious trouble.
