Beginning Potions Lesson 1 Please note that this class is intended for first through third years only (unless you spoke with HM Bontecou about remedial lessons). Other classes will be held for OWL (4th and 5th years) and NEWT (6th and 7th years) levels. Headmaster... man that made him feel pompous to think of himself like that... Bontecou stepped into his classroom for the first time (well, not the first since he did come to set up first) as headmaster. He leaned his bum against the edge of his desk and started conjuring misty butterflies to fly around the room for his own amusement while he wanted for the kids. As he waited the patterns and colors of the butterflies became increasingly intricate so that eventually, every third butterfly looked almost real. |
Ok, potions! That wasn't like cooking right? Cooking wasn't her strong side, although she could make mean waffles! Miranda walked towards the classroom, books in hand and ready to learn something new. Looking inside, she saw the beautiful butterflies flying around and was instantly intrigues. "Prettyyy!" she squealed and rushed inside. In all her excitement, she hadn't seen the professor at first, but his movements caught her eye and she froze in her tracks blushing. "Good Day professor" she smiled akwardly then rushed over to find a seat at the front of the classroom. |
Varius entered the classroom to dusty, misty butterflies fluttering around the place. Potions, in Varius' eyes, was the closest to magic without the need of some wand waving, so he was more than happy to be attending this class to say the least. He took a seat near the front where he knew he could see what was going on, but not too close in case the Headmaster was a big fat meanie who would pick on him. As he waited for others to arrive and class to begin, he continued to poke the pointy tip of his brand new quill - still fascinated him! |
Via entered the class and greeted the Professor, "Good Day Professor." She took her seat at the middle. A few students were inside and the class hadn't started yet. The potions class was being handled by the headmaster himself. |
Sam came into the classroom with her books and watched the butterflies flutter around the room. 'Awh, how cute.' She thought with a smile. She looked over at the professor. She was a bit surprised to see that the potions master was the headmaster also. "Hello professor." She said, setting herself down in the back of the room. She looked around and only saw a couple other students in the room. She couldn't wait to start class, potions was her favorite subject of them all. She was pretty good at it, she like to practice making different kinds when she was at home. She was excited to find out what they'd be making this year. |
John walked into the class, he wondered what it would be like having the head teaching Potions. "Hello Professor." He smiled as he took a seat at the front of the class. |
Nathaniel entered the classroom and saw Via already there. He smiled at her. Nathaniel set down his backpack and sat near her. No talking. They didn't need anymore points taken off. Potions was NOT his favorite. |
Sakura entered the potions classroom, this was the lesson she had been anticipating the most. She quickly found a desk and got out all the necessary equipment. |
Angela was in a cheery mood. She entered the room and took a glimpse of stuff in the room. Potions is not her best subject, but neither is her worst. She enjoyed the subject. As she saw the Professor, she greeted, "Pleasant day, sir". Quote:

Lizzie entered the classroom, happy to be back for another year with new lessons. She smiled at the professor as she headed for a seat and sat down. Spotting Via and Nate as the only persons she knew or had spoken to at all, she gave them both a friendly nod. She then quickly picked up her books and started drawing on a page in her notebook, waiting for potions to begin. |

Mariel walked through the dungeon corridor with excitement mixed with slight apprehension. Potions was her favorite class but she wasn't completely sure who'd be teaching it this term. As she stepped into the classroom, her eyes grew wide as they followed the many fluttering butterflies around the room. Finally making her way to the very front of the room as she distractedly followed the butterflies, she finally noticed the adult in front of her. "Oh! Hello, Professor.." she exclaimed, beaming up at him. "..er, I mean Headmaster. I was so worried that you might not be teaching this class with all the new teachers around. Oh, and congratulations, by the way... for your new appointment, I mean." Blushing slightly as she realized that she was rambling quite a bit, Mariel promptly closed her mouth and pulled out her textbook. |
Cam stared at all of the misty butterflies in wonder but soon got to his desk. He started to wonder what they were going to make today. A potion that could make someone into a hippopotamus? Or maybe even a potion that could destroy a whole civilization! Looking at the professor he noticed that it was the headmaster. Bleh. I gotta behave perfectly fine then. Else he's gonna take more points from Slytherin! The thought of that, was horrible. "Hello Professor." |
Spence walked in the room and looked for a seat, but couldn't find anywhere she wanted to sit. She then saw Via but she already had people sitting near her. She then saw Saku and walked up to her. Hey Saku. Mind if I sit down? |
Sara made her way into the Potions classroom. She was slightly apprehensive about this class, not knowing what to expect at all. Especially this being the headmaster as well. Being new to the school, she wanted to give a good impression. She was never a trouble maker, being too shy she just didn't have the guts to do some of the stuff she'd seen students do. But she didn't want to make a fool of herself either. She just hoped that what she read before class was enough to get through the lesson. Sara entered the room and nervously looked around for a place to set up her stuff. She noticed the professor leaning against the desk with a group of colorful butterflies flying around him. She smiled at him and muttered "Good Day Professor" and made a beeline for a seat near the middle of the classroom so she could get a good view. |
Michael paused for a moment to catch his breath before entering the Potions Classroom, he seemed to be constantly running late for everything since arriving at Hogwarts. Entering and quickly finding a seat on his own near the back of the room, he nodded to the Professor as he sped past (wasn't he the Head Master too?). |
Sakura gestured that Spence could sit next to her before whispering, "I'd talk but I don't want the Headmaster to take points off Slytherin." |
Spence nodded her understanding then nodded to the Proffesor as greeting. She then sat and waited for class to begin. |

Sam watched as the class began to fill. She watched the door to see if Hailey would show up. She pulled out her notebook and doodled a bit. She leaned her head against her hand on the desk and bobbed her foot as she waited. |

Miranda sat swinging her feet off her chair, as they couldn't reach the ground. She looked around nervously. Her brother had told her horror stories of first years blowing things up in this class. Determined not to be one of them, she had her equipment ready and quill and parchment in hand to take notes. |
