Daniel was hurried to mutter the shield charm but to no avail, he was hit by the hex.

He opened his eyes and see that nothing happened to him. Then it struck him. He had put a anti-hex charm upon himself so any hex cannot penetrate.

He then faced the Hufflepuff and yelled, IMPEDIMENTA!

With her wand at the ready Nancy chuckled slighty at Kayla's facial expression as a reaction to her creation of the multicolored sparks. "Maybe I get extra points for that." She joked before her putting on a rather serious expression again as Kayla once again raised her wand to sent three different colored streams of light at her. Kayla apparently had a pretty good ability to aim since all three of her jinx were dashing towards three different parts of Nancy's body. Even though, the third year immediately cast another shielding charm she was only able to keep two of the jinx from colliding with her, the third one, the Finger-removing Jinx, on the other hand, completely hit its target, being Nancy's upper arm, and as she hesitantly looked down she realized that her fingers had disappeared.
A small shriek escaped her lips as she stared at her hands with a look of utter disbelief with a slight hint of shock on her face. Eep!

Barry watched as the charm hit him it made his hair grow longer "Not bad I could use some extra hair" then he looked over at the slytherin girl " Its Barry, I`m a fourth year, ravenclaw obviously and you all?" he asked sending a jelly brain jinx towards the slytherin girl.

Her fingers were gone, they'd just vanished. Help! What was she supposed to do now? She was in the middle of a duel after all and being unable to use her wand wasn't exactly too helpful, which meant she somehow needed to get her fingers back and quick. But how?! Which spell had they been told to cast when somebody'd successfully made their fingers vanish? Hopefully the others weren't going to attack her when she was so vulnerable like she was at the moment. The next moment her hopes were shattered, though, since that Ravenclaw boy, who'd just randomly introduced himself as Barry, sent a jinx flying her way completely unconcerned whether or not she was able to defend herself.

Evil boy. Nancy's blue eyes widened slightly in frustration as the focused on the stream of light which came dashing at her before as a last attempt to defend herself she quickly took her wand with her what was left of her hand and exclaimed, desperation clearly evident in her voice, "Protego!" Her face full of concentration Nancy almost glared at the light that was coming closer and closer and closer and it was about to hit her when...it simply bounced off of the shield she'd somehow been able to conjure up. Phew!

Now there was still that little problem of how to her fingers back. After a few moments of pondering over how to solve that the third year suddenly smiled a little as she once again raised her wand and said, "Finite!" Yes! That was it! This should put an end to it! And really, it did. Phew! After wiggling her fingers a few times in excitement to have them back Nancy turned around to face her opponents again with her wand tightly gripped with her right hand. Drawing an X into the air Nancy first sent a Jelly-brain jinx at Kayla with all the force she could conjure up before refreshing her Shielding Charm and finally turning to aim at Barry. "Oh, nice to meet you, Barry. I'm Nancy." She said rather sarcastically still quite confused as to why the boy had suddenly introduced himself right in the middle of a duel while another X followed the first and a stream of red light emerged out of Nancy's wand and started heading towards Barry. Hopefully the Stretching Jinx would hit its target.

Barry watched as the stretching jinx approached him and ... hit. "Thank you Nancy I needed those few extra inches" he said as he grew about 4 inches taller. "No need to act so harsh, it is only a game" he said and then he formed a X and let the twich ear jinx go towards the girl and then to show he was enjoying he twirled his wand and stood up straight even if it did look a bit silly.

Doing some sort of small ridiculous curtsey at Barry's thanking her for her Stretching Jinx Nancy smirked at the Ravenclaw boy before saying, "It's been a pleasure, Barry." And she even meant what she was saying. The third year totally enjoyed herself although this whole thing was starting to get quite exhausting. Half-heartedly casting another shielding charm which barely did its work but which was only able to keep Barry's jinx off but no other if anybody were to hex her at this very moment she would be totally vulnurable. "So, uhm, how long is this still going on?" Well, they still needed to somehow figure out who'd won that duel, right? Oh, this was going to be a tough one.

Qaz had made her way down from the seventh floor. As much as she loved the party, she had way to much work to do. Grabbing a couple of notebooks out of her bag..and her favorite gel pen, she tried to figure out what to do first.

Homework be ddamned, she had an issue of the Ravie Reader to put out. Laying all of her other subjects in piles, she grabbed the paperwork for the paper. Nest would be divination, so she laid her wand on top of that pile.

To work on the paper....

Lead story...The Ravies victory, of course. She had a guest sports reporter to cover the game, but she wanted to do her own introduction to the article, both as a writer and a POGREBIN! player....

She sat and considered what she'd write....


Then, she wrote.....for hours...at least it seemed like it.

Finally, she got up and headed back to the common room.
