Kayla watched as Helios placed his owl back onto its perch and then the next thing she knew he was right in front of her, she didn't even have time to react when he wrapped his arm around her waist and kissed her on the lips.

She was absolutely stunned into silence, her mouth was still hanging open as he made his exit. Kayla only just managed to hear his parting comment and she placed her hands on her hips and scowled. "Oh yes we will" she muttered. Nobody kissed her without her permission! She wondered if she could break her record and smack two guys in the face in the one week.

"Eric, you're so flattering!" Jessica smiled. "Aura...that's so philosophic, I dare say!" she continued. Barney wanted to go fly a bit so Jess allowed him to go on the grounds, promising to wait for him in the owlery.

Date? Wait-did he just say date?!? Jess was thinking. She started to feel butterflies in her stomach. Truthfully, she wasn't sure what to think.
"It's settled then!" she responded.

Jessica watched as Eric was giving attention to both owls. "You know what I'm thinking? I'd like to take a picture of you right now, if only I had a camera..." she said.

"Oh, thanks Eric! No one has told me that before. Not in those words, anyway." she said, smiling. Jess felt an urge to tell Eric how she felt. But maybe he would change his opinion about her afterwards.

Jenn ran up the steps, taking them two at a time. She hadn't visited her owl, Ocean, in ages it seemed to her. Finally reaching the top, she ran over and called for her owl. Panting slightly she smiled as her owl flew down to her arm. "Hey Ocean. How's things been here?"she asked the owl, petting it. Ocean gave a content hoot. "I'm glad."Jenn said smiling.

"Oh No I'm just a simple Guy that's all." He said smiling at her. Nothing complex about me." he added.

"Okay Ma'am just let me know when you want to go and I'll be there." he said as lady flew off his shoulder onto the closet self to take a nap while Eric talked to Jess.

"A picture?" He asked. Why is that?" He didnt mind taking a picture he was just wondering why she wanted one. Could it maybe be that she just wanted one of him... Nah couldn't be.

"No need for thanks. I'm just telling the truth but you very welcome anyway." he added with another smile. "So how long have you had barney?" he asked wantingto know more about her.

Xehanna danced into the owlery with a smile on her face. she was happy and her eyes were orange. as she walked in, an owl fluttered over to her and sat on her shoulder. she didnt recognize it but it had a letter adressed to her. she set the owl down and untied the letter when the owl bit her and flew away. she felt a seering burning pain. like fire was running through her body. she put it aside and read her letter.

Xehanna could feel the burning sense he was talking about. her hand to her elbow was on fire. she grited her teeth and the tears were flowing. she rand out to go find dem. her eyes were navy blue, almost black. she was furious and deathly scared.

Lisa couldn't wait to see her owl, she ran up the stairs as fast as she could and ended up tripping over her own robes. She cursed under her breath, and kept on running.By the time she had got to the she was panting a little, this is good for your athletics training Lisa thought.

"Sapphire!here girl!!"she called out excitedly. Sapphire, her beautiful snowy owl with eyes like sapphire circled her head a few times, and then landed swiftly on her shoulder." Sapphire!!.....I missed you so much,"Lisa said, she felt like crying and laughing at the same time.She told her everything about what had happened.Including evreything from getting a piggmy puff and making new friends to the charms lesson she had had previously.Lisa felt glad that she had decided to come and visit her owl, Sapphire looked very cheerful, her bright eyes twinkling.

Lisa gave Sapphire some of the owl treats she had bought for her from the owl emporium. Sapphire seemed to like them very much, she hooted happily.Lisa looked around at the other owls."Aren't you gonna introduse me to your friends Saph?"she laughed.

Jenn looked around as she petted Ocean. Seeing Lisa she walked over. "Hey. How's things going?"she asked laughing. "Hey Sapphire."she said petting Sapphire's head. Jenn laughed as Ocean gave her an anoyed peck. "I know you like it when I pet you."she said petting Ocean again.

"Well, simple or complex, I still like you a lot." she said with a warm smile. "I mean, who wouldn't?" she said sincerely.

"OK. If you want, we can choose a day in a weekend and go to Hogsmeade afterwards. What do you think?" Jessica asked, hoping it wouldn't seem inappropriate that she as a girl invited Eric.

"Because I'd like to have one with you. Plus, I'm sure you don't consider it a ridiculous muggle thing, as other people would. And because I like being around you." Jess explained.

Telling the truth? Hmm...so did he like her?
"I've had Barney since my third year at Hogwarts. I also have a cat, which I received just before starting my first year." Jessica answered. "How about you? How long have you had Lady?"

As Eric opened the subject of questions, Jess gathered some courage to say:
"May I ask you something? I know it's personal and if you chose not to answer it's perfectly understandable, but do you have a girlfriend? Being so nice, you must have." She stopped and waited for his reaction.

He smiled when she said she like him. "I could think of a few." he replied

"Oh that sounds Great. I haven't been to hogsmede in I don't know how long. I would love to go with you" he added. He hoped it didn't sound to forward.

Again Eric had to smile."You know you say some of the Sweetest thing. Your a nice person." he replied gently placing his hand own her shoulder and letting it rest for a second before removing. "Okay I have a camera up stairs. The weekend we go to hogsmede I'll be sure to bring it." He replied

As Jess told him about her pets he tensed up a bit. He dreaded evening being around Cats. This was not a meeting he would be looking forward to. "A Cat huh..." he replied. "But I had My lady since my first year here which would be my second Year.' he said hoping it didn't sound to confusing. "Britt MADE me get her. I wasn't to fond of them but i'm glad I did." he said looking at the sleeping owl. He smiled at her.

Eric attention was brought back when Jess asked him could she asked him a question. "Of course you can ask me anything. Never be afraid to ask me something." he said with a reasurring smile. As she asked the question he couldn't say that he was expecting the question. It actually kind of caught him off Gaurd. But he didn't let it show. It was a good question which he didn't mind answering.

He sat for a moment and thought to himself before answering. Because the truth was he didn't think he had one anymore. He did have one but he left school and when he got back she wasn't there anymore. But woud that be how Vee would feel. He hoped he would make the right decision... "No, No I don't" he said with a small smile. "What about you. Your a very sweet and nice girl. You couldn't possibly be single." he added

"You could think of a few? I wonder who those could be." Jess raised an eyebrow, unconvinced that someone could not like Eric.

"Excellent!" the girl responded joyfully and straightforward when Eric accepted to go to Hogsmeade with her. "I quite miss Hogsmeade too. I've only been there once this year." she added.

Jessica smiled at the compliment. "I say sweet things to the people I like. But I can be bad as well." she insisted. She was surprised when he placed his hand on her shoulder, but didn't say anything. In fact, it seemed to her quite a natural thing. Although they had met only recently, it seemed as if they had known eachother for a lifetime.
"Do you really have one? Ok, don't forget to bring it." she winked.

Jess noticed a change in his temper when she mentioned Kitty. "Oh, you're not a cats fan? I understand...Then I won't take my cat with me when I'm seeing you." she promised.
"From what you've told me, Britt must be awesome! I'd love to meet her." the Huffie concluded.

"Really? I'm warning you- sometimes I can get too inquisitive!" she laughed. "If I ever ask you anything annoying just tell me and I'll give up, ok?" she added.

There was something thought-provoking in the way Eric answered. It seemed as if he wasn't quite sure. "You don't?" Jess repeated. When he said she can't be single Jess responded: "Actually, I am. I was in uncertainity regarding my feelings for a boy but in time I realised we just weren't meant for eachother." she explained.

Oh there are some believe it or not. I just rather not get into all of that... Well for now anyway." he said with a small smirk to let her know she wasn't prying or anything.

""to the people she likes" he thought to himself. He wasn't the one to hold back any wondering thoughts because like he said if you don't ask you don't know. "Is it everybody you like or a special kind of like." he asked with charming smile spread across his face. "And how bad." he said jokingly with a wink.

Eric laughed. "Oh is it that noticeable that I don't like them." His Last Girlfriend had a cat that seemed very smitted with Eric. Eric on the other hand didn't care for him to much. Even though he woudn't admitt it out loud he was Terrified of Cats. "But yeah she is." He said realizing why they whee in the place they were. He pulled out a small notebook out of his jacket pocket. He always Carried around because he like to write things down when they came to mind. "I almost forgot why we were here." he added with a chuckle. Dear Britt he began to write.

He still listened to Jess contently as he wrote the note to Britt. He looked up when she repeated his answer in a question form. He gave her a small smile. "I don't" he said gently before continuing to write. "Well it sounds like he wasnt' meant for you. If he couldn't see that he wanted to be with you from the moment he met you then he doesn't deserve you." he said still looking down writing the note. "Please send me a reply note telling me that your okay. Love always, your cousin Eric". He ended the letter

He Folded the letter and walked over to Lady still not making eye contact with Jess. He gently woke the sleeping owl up. "Okay Lady I need you to do me a favor. I need you to find Britt no matter what and give her this letter for me. Can you do that." he said to his owl. Lady Gently nipped at his finger as a form of understanind before taking off with the note tied to her Ankle. Eric watched her fly off till she was out of sight

Xehanna came rushing in from her devised plan to let her friend find out about the letter. she hoped she didnt have anything to do now but sure enough she had a letter not yet knowing what it would say. she couldnt stand being threatened and she hoped this was over soon. she opened the letter and began to read the tears already spilling.
Xehanna thought this was definatly not worse than the other but very very bad. she was scared and didnt want Joel or Lily to get hurt. she ran out to go get herself suspended.

"Hey Jenn,"Lisa said seeing Jenn coming her way."Hey Ocean, buddy,"she patted him gently and laughed."Not too good actually....Nothing is going on in my life...well it is, But there is no drama,"she said trying to look miserable, but it was soon replaced bya grin.She just couldn't stay down for too long, she found it too tiresome too go moody.

"If they're not friendly to you, it's their problem. Anyway, they don't know what they are losing." Jessica insisted. "So it's better to ignore them." she added.

Jess thought for a while before she answered. "I like most people and that's a usual kind of like. A special kind of like is something else. But just for you to know, I guess I like you in a special way." she blushed.
"How bad usually depends on how bad the others annoy me. But I'm pretty tolerant, I rarelly lose my temper. But sometimes I can't take it and I react powerfully." she explained.

"I was just supposing you don't like cats, it wasn't that obvious. Don't worry, it's no problem in that. Everybody dislikes certain things." Jess continued. She kept some distance in order to give Eric some privacy while he was writing the letter to his cousin. She didn't like to interfere.

Jess heard Eric's "I don't" said more confidently. Somehow, that made her feel as if she had butterflies in her stomach.
"Thanks. But maybe I didn't deserve him, not the other way around." Jessica said in a contemplative manner.

The girl watched as Eric sent Lady with the letter and wondered why he was avoiding eye-contact.
"Is everything ok?" she asked, hoping she hadn't upset him with anything.

"Oh? What's up? You can tell me."she said. Jenn laughed. "You can't stay sad can you?"she asked. Jenn sighed. "I can."she said saddly.

"nope,"Lisa said laughing along with her."That's alright, I like depressed people,"Lisa said trying to pull on a serious face and failing for what seemed to be the hundreth time."It doesn't matter anyway,you are my best friend and I think you are great,"Lisa said blushing a little, she wasn't used to saying things like this.She had come a long way with her shyness, she realised.

Jenn laughed. Then she smiled gratefully at Lisa. "You don't know how much that means to me."she said, going over to hug Lisa. "Your my best friend too. And I think your a great person too, with a wonderful personality."she said, smiling happily at her.

Lisa hugged Jenn back.She felt so happy."Wow......slow with the compliments.I'm not used to getting that many at a time!"Lisa joked."Thanks,"Lisa mumbled quietly."Are you going back down now?"Lisa asked her.

Jenn laughed at Lisa's little joke. "Haha. Very funny."she said, giggling. Jenn smiled. "Your welcome."she replied. She shrugged. Looking at Ocean she realized her owl looked like it could fall asleep anytime now. She nodded. "Probably. You wan't to come?"she asked.

"Ok sure"Lisa replied."To the common room or dorm?"Lisa asked her,after letting Sapphire peck at her for a while.She laughed lightly when she saw that Ocean was starting ot look sleepy.They must've been here for a while, time went fast when you were with some you liked, she realised.

"How about the dorm."she asked. She looked out the window and realized the sun was starting to set. "Wow. We've been here for awhile."she remarked.

Freya made her way up the stairs to the owlery with her two owls on her shoulders. Tundra, her eagle owl and Anchor, the great grey one, both of which had recovered from their overly long journey and injuries. Freya found a long perch near one of the far walls and stretched out her arms, signaling for them to come off. "Sorry guys, but you can't expect to stay in the dormitory and common room forever. It was only temporary until you were both doing better." She knew they couldn't understand her, but that didn't make much difference to Freya. "Besides, it's nearly the end of term and we'll be heading home soon. To our new home that is." She stroked the birds on their heads, "I just have to make sure that you don't get the idea of returning to Alaska, Tundra." She mentioned to the large brown owl. With a grin Freya added, "I know how troublesome you can be at times."
Freya looked down at her owl's legs, they had healed up rather nicely, and their feathers were nearly all back to normal. 'Thank goodness.' She reached down and removed the last of the bandages, but left a thin layer of wrap to protect against the wind chill. "I'll come up again shortly to visit you two again. And then I'll return once more to retrieve you for break." Freya scratched the tops of their heads again one last time, before giving them each a treat and allowing them to relax on their perch. Freya then left the owlery.

Rachel walked up the steps of the owlery, huffing and puffing as she finally reached the top. She was just about to sit down and rest before calling Sky, when she suddenly gasped in pain and clutched her head tightly. Looking up, careful not to alleviate the pressure, she frowned as a very angry owl flapped right above her nose.
"I'm so sorry, Sky! I had a lot on mind, you know how it is," she said to him, trying to calm her owl down enough so that he would quit making wind. Making eye contact, she delivered the same message without speaking and ever so slowly, the indignant owl finally stopped flapping its wings and sat himself down on Rachel's right shoulder.
Smiling, she stroked his head with her free hand, already feeling better. The cut wasn't deep, it was just enough to cause pain for the whole day today. Dang it, my owl's way too smart for his own good...
They sat there and talked for at least a couple hours about everything that had been going on in Rachel's life. Once it was dark and the wound had safely sealed itself, she left the owlery, promising to come more ofter. What would I do without him?
