"Okay," said Ella, relaxing. She was glad that Kairi could go into the avatar state--whatever that was--and be able to control herself.

Kairi grinned, and then she felt his lips against hers. Her eyes blazed whiter still behind the blackness, and then she felt it, her heart tugged in two different directions. No, not yet, she pleaded to herself. Thankfully the tugging went away, but she knew it would come back. She pushed the thought to the back of her mind, "Hey, do you mind putting this on me?" she asked Chris, holding the necklace up, with a small smile, once they'd broken apart.

"Yeah sure no problem" he said putting it on her.

"Thanks hun," Kairi said, as Chris carefully put the necklace on her."I'll keep this forever," she said, clasping the locket in her hand, "Thank you," she said, reaching up and giving him a quick peck on the cheek.

"Thanks babe."

Maura smiled back. "Hi Kairi, how've you been?" she asked.

"I've been good, you?" Kairi asked.

"I've been good." Maura smiled. "I'm starting to get used to Hogwarts, and I'm making a lot of friends here."

Maddox waited till she got to the door, and opened it for her. He was still a gentleman despite how he was feeling. He always would be.

He took a deep breath and sighed. He wasnt sure where to begin. There was so much he wanted to say; that he needed to say. He decided to start with a question for her, to see if she really didnt get why he was so upset. "Do you know why I have been acting the way I have been the past couple of days?" He looked down at his boots, and started playing with the outside pocket of his leather cloak.

She nodded appreciatively when he opened the door for her; still keeping her manners even though she was shocked and even worried at the moment.

Then she raised her brow at his question. finally she was going to get soe answers. About time too! She was going to say that much to him, but decided that it was better not to. Instead she just cleared her throat and said, "as a matter of fact I don't. I want to know why you have been so cold to me out of nowhere." She put her hands on her hips and waited for his reply.

Maddox looked up and glared at her. The fact that she had the audacity to even be rude to him will he was trying to explain things to her calmly and rationally, wasnt helping her chances of him not yelling at her. He took a deep breath to calm himself.


He collected his thoughts for a few moments. He had to say this stuff in a way that would catch her off guard. "Ive been cold to you, for a few reasons Lima. One of them being, the fact that I witnessed my girlfriend tackling her ex-boyfriend to the ground, and letting him touch her in a way that only a boyfriend should touch his girlfriend." He said it quickly and growled on the last few words. "I also noticed how you looked at him. You've never looked at me like that. It made me wonder why you were with me still when you are so obviously in love with him."

He sighed and turned away from her, "I feel like I'm just someone that took the place of him, and now that hes back , im not necessary anymore. A damaged toy that can easily be tossed into the flames. That has been tossed into the flames." He had been burned, by the one person he ever loved. He was truely and utterly hurt beyond repair.

As she listened to him, her mouth dropped in shock. She couldn't believe it. He thinks I'm in love with Kyler? It was all so unreal to her.

Shaking her head to clear her confusion she said, "what are you talking about? We're only good friends now. I hugged him cause I was happy to see him. I'm not in love with him. Not anymore. I love you."

That was all she could manage to say as she was still so stunned. She loved him more than anyone but he still thought that she didn't care.

Feeling a slight bit... Uhum, unusual, Sebastian was still totally unsure where he was at this very moment in time. Sure there was trophies everywhere, but that could mean anything.

Ugh, he'd taken sweets from Alyss again. They always had high sugar content in them, and were assured to make ones mind go, ka-sput. Like his was doing at the moment. Shame really.

So, taking up a pillar, he looked at the trophies.

Maddox olded his arms across his chest and turned around to look at her again. He said this so quietly he wasnt sure if she could hear him, "You expect me to believe you, after you begged to hear that song." He shook his head and looked up at the ceiling.

"I cant go on feeling this way Lima. I will not put myself through this." He took a deep breath. Hopefully she would realize what he was saying without him having to say it. Thought he as sure he was going to have to say it in the end. He waited patiently for her to reply. He knew exactly what he was going to say next. but he waited for her to speak first. He wasnt going to be a complete jerk about this. He wanted to hurt her the way she hurt him, but he wasnt going to.

He didn't believe her. Not even when she was honestly telling him what had happened. It was all just a misunderstanding. Have I been acting in a bad way with Kyler without meaning to? "I'm telling you the truth. Please believe me." She could feel tears welling up inside, but she kept her composure. She wasn't going to cry. Not yet.

Maddox took a deep breath. He knew this was going to be terribly hard to do. But once he lost trust in people, it was hard to get it back. Even if he was in love with Lima, he didnt trust her at all anymore. She had done the one thing that he wouldnt ever do.

He took a deep breath and replied in a whisper, "I'm sorry Lima, but I cant trust you. I dont trust you. Not anymore." He looked away, he could tell she was about to cry, and that he couldnt handle.

He still didn't believe her. He didn't even trust her anymore. And with that she knew that she had lost him forever. And that thought made it harder than ever to keep herself from crying.

When he looked way from her, she took the opportunity to wipe her eyes on the sleeve of her robe before saying, almost defeatedly, "this is all a misunderstanding, Mads." She didn't even know why she said it when she was already well aware of the only other thing that he had to say to her.

Maddox looked at her with a dead and vacant stare. It was the only way he would ever be able to say what he had to say to her. He had To pretend to be dead, so he wouldnt have to feel the pain of his own words. It made him seem cold and so unlike himself, but it had to be done.


"What im trying to say is, I'm not going to stand in your way anymore. Your free to be with whomever you choose now. This relationship is over." He turned and walked to the door. He wanted to tell her how sorry he was, that he did love her. He wanted to believe her, but he didn't, and he couldnt change that. He whispered, "Goodbye Whigalima." He looked at her, then quickly walked out the door, his cloak flowing behind him like a billowing cloud on a windy day. He let the door slam as he got into the corridor. He took a deep breath and continued. He could only talk to one person right now, and he needed to find her.

His next words cut at her like a knife. It was like he had ripped out her heart and threw it against the wall. He wasn't even connected to her when he said it; he was acting like a robot. He is at the point where he doesn't even love me anymore. He's just tossing me aside now...

And the way he said it too... He so totally didn't get how she felt about him. "Please, Mads. I don't want to be with anyone else. Just you. We can work this out, I know it." But it was futile now.

With one bit motion he had left the room, slamming the door behind him. She just stood there for a minute not moving or thinking even. Sh didn't even cry. She just knew that she had to wait here until she knew that he was far away from here. Then she would run out of the room and go to her Dorm and cry.

Eva was wondering around. Of course she was walking and reading a book at the same time. Of course, she got lost.
After fours years at Hogwarts, Eva still didn't know the castle entirely. Also, being the type of girl she was (Miss Head-in-the-Clouds) this type of situations happenned... frequently.
She only closed her book - always a novel - when she realized she had no idea where she was. She saw a couple fighting. Seems like they aren't a couple anymore, she thought, remembering she should owl her boyfriend. They had to meet. They lived in the same castle, eat at the same table and shared the common room but still she saw her Slytherin twin sister much more oftenly than Sebastian.

"Hey." she approched a boy about her own age. He was alone, looking some trophies. "I was wondering... if you could... help me...?" she stopped when she saw who he was.
"Sebastian?" a short paused, followed by a confused yet casually "What are you doing here?"

His fingers tracing the glass that held the trophy that once belonged to his older brother, Sebastian looked underneath it. "Best Beater For Six Years In Slytherin Quidditch Team." Wow. He always knew that Tobias had played Quidditch, but never knew he was that good.

Suddenly he whirled around to the sound of a familar voice.

A single eyebrow shot up.

"Hey," He replied, a small smile appearing on his face, "I can help you, but would you prefer to know what I'm doing here, before, or after?" He asked, moving his gaze to her face, then to the confused look on it, then his facial expression turing to one of amusement.

"Before." she replied quickly. She crossed her arms on her chest. "I have to control you if i'd rather us not to end like those two." when she looked around, looking for 'those two', the couple that had been fighting, they were gone. When she spoke she was just teasing him. She liked doing that, once she could never fully understand him.

A little more embarassed, she asked in a low voice:
"We're in the third floor, right?" she looked around. "What is this room?" she asked out loud, althought she was questioning something else on her mind:

Remembering, she hide the book behind her back and faked a smile.

"Well, I was simply wandering, then," He added in a less excited tone of voice, "Then I saw this.." He turned, and pointed to the trophy with his brother's name on it, shining brightly amongst the rest. He'd probably never achieve anything like that... Alyss might though.

Tee hee.

She didn't know where they were.

"Yes, we're on the third floor," Sebastian replied, his face lighting back up, "And, this, is the trophy room." He gestured grandly to all the shiny articles that proudly stood on their little podiums, "And what book are you reading?"

"Oh. Your brother. I didn't know he had been a... great Quidditch player." Eva didn't even know Tobias Milan had played Quidditch. She thought she should something else. "Congratulations, Seb." What somebody says in a situation like this?

She was a terrible liar, wasn't she?
"Me? Reading? Nothing." she kept smiling and trying to hide the book, which fell from her hands. it was about a passionate love story between teenagers.
Eva had her reasons to not want to show it; she was known by her silly romatic dreams.
