Kairi walked into the trophy room and spotted Edward...with another girl. She was rooted to the spot, her mind was buzzing. Edward and the girl were close, it looked like they were going to...kiss. Kairi scowled, she could feel the anger welling up inside of her. Edward had invited her to Madame Pudifoots, he had said to her that she was the only one he liked, and now this. She felt horrible, sick, and she itched to just go up to him and give him a piece of her mind. But she didn't she just stood there, watching, waiting, in pain...

Edward felt the flutter of her heartbeat. It flew like a hummingbird. I really do like Ella. He leaned his face in slightly more. His topaz eyes were gentle and hard to look away from. "My best friend", Edward said. Then he hugged his best friend, Ella.

Kairi scowled, her head hurt, everything hurt, it was like being torn apart. She wanted to go up to him and...but that was the problem, she didn't want to hurt him, they were friends, even if he was technically cheating on her. Kairi could feel a small tear fall down her cheek, then she thought of all her friends, she felt a surge of affection and anger at the same time. She wouldn't hurt Edward, she wanted to, but she couldn't, she wanted to run, but she couldn't.
