Astrid peered over her shoulder and could not believe her eyes. She couldn't decide whether to scream or laugh. She just stood there and smiled. Then she nudged Allie and whispered, "Is that a skunk?"

Nicholai looked up in surprise as he heard Cale mention a skunk, immediately looking around warily. He licked his lips and shot a glance at Cale. Protego would be the best thing... if it tried anything. Just to be sure Nicholai checked the charms on his clothes... and his shoes and socks.

"Apparently I had you fooled." Nicholai responded, one eye still on the skunk. What did he know about skunks? Didn't tomatoes neutralize the smell or was that just an old Muggle tale?

Seeing a few students go to help the Professor, Nicholai stayed put in the middle of the classroom. Protected by a wall of students.

'Just stay calm...it's only a skunk...it won't spray unless it feels threatened...so just keep still.' Qaz interjected...hoping that nobody made any fast moves....

Asteira snicked as a girl asked if it was a skunk. No it was a small black and white puppy around who could spray you. Which would make you smell like a dumpster for days. Gesh. Not very bright ones in this box. she looked over at mari as she heard her talk about the skunk. " Didnt know this was Care of Magical creatures class." the skunk seemed to be of trouble. "Gesh." she muttered as she moved to take her wand out. she got out of her seat as she moved towards the skunk. she made sure to keep in the front rather than the back. "Petrificus Totalus." she spoke as she pointed the wand at the skunk. As she became motionless she moved to pick her up.

"Good...skunk." at least it couldnt spray anything. she walked over to the professor as she knelled beside the professor." Are you alright professor?" she asked as she had the skunk tucked safely under her arm.

Maddox looked at the skunk and scowlled at it. Hopefully that thing wouldnt come near him. He'd been sprayed once. It was the worst camping trip he had ever had. "Professor is that yours?" He pointed.





Keeping the scowl on his face looking at the skunk he replied, "Apparently. That thing better not come near me." He kept scowlling. Tomatoes didnt help him after said camping trip. He stunk for a week or so.

She rolled her eyes. "Did you know that you are the biggest show off that I have ever met?" She chuckled at him.

Allie stared, wide-eyed at the creature.
"Oh God, I hope not." she replied.

"Thank you dear. I'm fine, just some banged up knees." Alex said grateful for the help up. She was getting to old for the whole falling down thing.
"Calm down everyone, nothing will stink, she's been descented. And please do not curse my skunk Miss." she said with a slight frown at the child holding her pet. Reaching out, she took the skunk out of the Slytherin's grasp, took the spell off and placed it on her shoulder. "This, is Banshee. Named for what most people start screaming like when they see her." Alex said smiling. "I had to bring her to class because I just got back from picking her up and didnt have time to stop in my office."

The little skunk was very confused when, suddenly, she couldnt move any part of her body. A moment later, her mobility was back and she was on Mommy's shoulder. SHe stuck her nose in Mommy's ear and sniffled affectionatly.

Lima gasped as she saw the skunk. She hated those things. She backed away from it slightly and whispered to Mads, "if that thing comes near me I'm hiding behind you."

"Aww." said Allie, after looking at the little confused skunk for a while. "Its kinda cute."

Qaz chuckled as she watched the skunk nussle the Professor's ear. She knew that feeling all to well. I wonder if skunk nose feels like cat nose...probably.

Penny watched at the snuck. Those things are so fowl smelling. Penny plugged her nose just to be safe.

"Well, I think she's gorgeous professor." Freya said, her eyes and face lit up with pleasure as she watched the animal, "Skunks don't bother me one bit. I love them."

Mariska let out a breath she had been holding and then she sighed with relief as the professor revealed her little pet had been descented. " Oh, thank Merlin." She said, looking over at Asteira and smiling a little. She looked to the Professor again as she explained her pets name, and even Mari had to admit it was rather cute when it stuck it's nose in Professor Pierce's ear and snuffled a bit.

"Aww Professor Pierce, she's so cute!" Astrid said excitedly. She wanted so badly to pet her. That precious little thing, was adorable. She turned around when she heard Maddox's voice and winked at him.

Piper had gotten the spell fairly quickly and was now watching the skunk with expression of amusement on her face. "Aww, she's so cute." She whispered as she pushed some of her long black hair behind her ear. She giggled a bit more, her violet eyes wide with wonder, she had seen Skunks from far away but never up close. She smiled more, and then started to practice the spell, the ball of light in her hand cheerfully glowing away ans she held it in her hand.

Maddox chuckled at both of Lima's comments and said, "First of all, i only show of occasionaly, second of all, i've been sprayed before so if anyone is hiding its going to be me." He grinned.



Maddox looked at the professor and said, "Can it still spray?" He was staring at the creature a little nervous.




Maddox smiled at astrid and motioned with his head to the girl behind him. He mouthed "my girlfriend."He smiled again hoping she would get it.

She snorted and said, "I know silly." Then she frowned slightly and said, "I thought that you were supposed to be showing chivalry as my boyfriend. Protect me from evil skunks." She raised her brow at him.

Sarah smiled as the Proffessor got up. Atleast she was fine. And then she explained the little creature in her class. Honestly, Sar didb't get it. Why was everyone freakin' out This was Transfiguration. This type of stuiff was suppose to happen.

DUH!

She however, took a step back from te Professor wgen the little skunk, who DID NOT smell, hopped ionto the Professor's shoulder. eep, thats cute.

If she wanted it cursed she would of used a better spell. "Sorry professor." she managed to say as she continued." It was terrorizing half the class. It could of gotten a worse spell put on it by another student who was frightened. I was preventing any damage." would of been nice to know it wasnt going to stink anything up before. she moved back to her seat as she sighed. It was her favorite class and she already was on the professors bad side for petrifying her pet. she tapped her wand lightly against the desk as she was ready to crawl into a small hole. she was having a horrible week.

Penny noticed that no one else was holding their noses, so she let go of hers for now.

She raised her brow as some strange girl winked at Mads. "Who is that?" she asked curiously.

Mari looked over at Asteira with a slightly uncomfortable expression as the Professor chided her for using the charm on her skunk. Mari fell back from the little crowd that was around the professor and she looked at Asteira. " Well, the skunk is alright, so don't look so down." She said, making an attempt at cheering her friend up.

Astrid was shocked. She just stood there and blinked at him for a second. Maddox never mentioned having a girlfriend during Herbology. Hmmm, that's interesting. She thought. Then she mouthed Sorry and thought, not for long. She certainly didn't want anything (or anybody) getting in the way of her "Herbology parnter."

"Alright everyone, that will be all for today. Homework is to research conjuring solid objects. I believe the library has plenty of book on the subject. Class is dismissed." Alex called out as she scrathed Banshee's head.
