"Mr. Greenwood..." she said watching the kid. "Let's act our age... shall we? Do you want your aunt to find out you clung onto another Slytherin's robes?"
She Diffindo-ed the robes then repaired them so the kid was off Toussaint.
"NOW ENOUGH OF THIS!" She said in a booming voice. "Professor Pierce and I want to see the charms... Practice!" Lucas flinched as the Intern was a little rough with his hand. He let go of Nico's robes. He didn't want them to call him a baby. He nodded slowly at her and went back to his desk where he had dropped his wand.

Lisa had been waiting for this lesson for ages, she had been silently watching what everyone was doing for a while. Finally she decided to give it a try. She put down her wand on her desk and just practised saying the spell, when she was definite that she had got the pronounciation exactly right she picked up her wand again.Lisa tried the swoop movement, and "Injurio Bani." Bandages came out the tip of Lisa's wand and fell to the desk. How am I supposed to get rid of this?she wondered.

Taking a deep breath and concentrating as best she could. She gave her wand a point and flick at the table and said the incantation, "Aidonsi Traci." Kayla looked on the table at where she had pointed her wand and was dismayed to see a tiny little stick sitting in front of her. She picked it up and examined it, oh well it would make a fine toothpick she thought as she placed it into her robes.
Closing her eyes for a moment and concentrating hard on what she was trying to conjure. "Aidonsi Traci" she said firmly and flicking and pointing her wand once more. She slowly opened one eye to see if it had worked and gave a little squeal of excitment when she saw a splint in front of her. Okay so it would probably fit a dwarf but nevertheless she had managed to conjure one. "Next time let me see it, Winters..." She said not finding anything wrong with her... Quote:

He tried again, clearing his throat and putting a bit more oomph in it. "Antiarius Ontin!" he said, very clearly. He looked again at his palm and found twice as much anticeptic as last time.

Cassandra let out an inadible growl as she turned to the fifth year who called her by her first name. "It's Miss Trelawney, or Intern Healer Trelawney." In her school days she made sure she was addressed by Prefect Trelawney... And before then only very few people were allowed to call her Cassandra, everyone else addressed her as Trelawney. Quote:

She was half thinking of hexing half the students so they'd be injured and the well half could heal the injured... Pride wouldn't go for that... she was Gryffindor.
"You." She pointed at a student. * We'll pretend you broke your leg and I will show the class how to heal you." *ooc: Trel wouldn't call for a volunteer, she'd just point at someone, so who ever posts first is the student she'll use.

After Nancy was finished with practicing and memorizing the three healing spells she started watching the actions around her. Especially this Trelawney-woman caught her attention. Although she didn't know her something about her behavior made Nancy dislike her. Just like that, without any proof. This was very unlike her, which made her feel a little weird...no not exactly weird, more like confused.
Looking around for someone she knew with whom she could pair up with she was kind of shocked to find a finger pointing at her. Wait? What? Actually turning around to see if she might be pointing at someone behind her she asked with a confused look on her face, "Uhm...me?" Well, sort of a stupid question but still maybe it had been a mistake, after all. Maybe.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Laylee Lynn Russell Seventh Year | For the first time in Transfiguration, there was a spell she didnt know. She had never read a book over healing or anything. How odd. Laylee took her time with each spell, making sure she wouldnt make a fool of herself when she did them. She said each clearly and did the wand movements and had been successful. She would have to remember to start reading about healing spells later on in the library.
She wrote down the various spells and what they do and then looked up Professor Trelawny, the assistent pointed out someone to use for the splint spell. Trelawny was quite fierce. She was definately the type of person that didnt take lip.
Laylee finally looked away from her and tried to find a partner. She always ended up alone in these types of things.

She transfigured the chair that Professor Pride provided into a cot and said "Come on, and lay on the cot." She told the girl, really... "The class is only an hour long..." she said impatiently.

Okay, her question obviously didn't make her too popular with this Trelawney-woman. But it had been a quite justifiable question, I mean she might have actually pointed at someone behind her, right? Okay, it had actually been a stupid question.
Looking at the Intern Healer with raised eyebrows she listened to her instructions and then slowly got up from her chair. Judging by the rather annoyed look on her face the students whom she passed on her way to the cot could see that she wasn't exactly happy to have been chosen for this demonstration.
Finally arriving where the Intern Healer was standing she lay down on the cot with an exasperating sigh. "Okay, and now I should pretend to have broken my leg, right?" It was more a rhetorical question since Nancy had already placed her hands on her left leg and her face was showing a rather fake expression of pain.

It was more a rhetorical question since Nancy had already placed her hands on her left leg and her face was showing a rather fake expression of pain. Cassandra looked at the Slytherin sitting on the cot and then smirked. "I think we can do more than pretend..." She moved her wand over the girl's knee and a large bloody gash appeared on the girl's flesh. "Don't worry, it is just a medical illusion... not a real wound. It doesn't hurt." She told not just the girl but the whole class.
"Now let's say this student just won the Quidditch Championship game, throddling herself to the ground and breaking her leg in 7 parts, shaddering her knee..." She swallowed and looked at the other students. "For some reason, the nurse was called away and cannot dignose and heal her. A simple Episkey will not do... The girl will need a splint." She pointed and flicked at the girls leg and said "Aidonsi Traci!" A splint appeared around the girl's leg and kept it completetly immoble.
"Now, the wound is still open to the elements and it can become infected. Clean the wound using the Tergeo spell and then, instead of putting the ointment in your hand, put it directly on the wound." Cassandra tergeo-ed the affected area, then she twirled out her wand in a circle over the fake wound, "Antiarius Ontin!" She said and a clear gel like substance dribbled out of her wand, covering the gash and making it disappear.
"Now, the leg is immoble, the wound is cleaned and medicated, let's wrap the whole thing up." She said moving to the back of the cot, for a better angle. "When you conjure the bandages, you'll most likely have them in a pile on the ground, or on the stomach of the person... this is fine, the gauze remains sterile until in contact with the wound." She said and then looked at Toussaint, to acknoledge his question from earlier. "Pick it up and wrap it around tightly enough that two fingers can snuggley be tucked in. I on the other hand was trained by a St. Mungo's healer, and can wrap it around as I summon..." She said proudly.
She then proceeded to make a swoop with her wand, and saying "Inurio Bani!"
As the gauze came out of her wand she guided it around the girl's leg and wrapped it carefully. Once that was done, she tucked two fingers under the bandage, making sure it was tight enough. "Perfect." She looked out to the class. "Questions before I ask you to practice on each other? No wounds please... that was for display only."

"Perfect." She looked out to the class. "Questions before I ask you to practice on each other? No wounds please... that was for display only." At the woman's words Nancy stared at the Intern Healer in shock. Gulp. What? More than pretend? What was wrong with this woman? Now she was pointing her wand at Nancy's knee...wait! No! Seeing the blood gash out of the newly inflicted wound on her knee she had to look away gritting her teeth waiting for the pain to come.
But it didn't. Hearing the Trelawney-woman's next words Nancy glared at her. Thanks for almost giving her a heart-attack. Couldn't she have said that it was only an illusion earlier?!
The Intern Healer's story sounded quite painful in Nancy's ears. Ew, seven parts? That had to hurt a lot! Well, at least she had won the Quidditch Championship, right? That was all that mattered. Nancy had to smirk at her own thought and then suddenly feeling something cold around her leg she looked down to see that a splint had appeared around it. Couldn't she have heated the thing a bit at least? It was ice-cold. But the worst in Nancy's eyes was still to come.
Watching her say "Antiarius Ontin" Nancy didn't realize at first what was going to happen until she felt the cold gel running down her knee. "Ew! That's gross!" With an annoyed look she watched the "blood gash" disappear but the gel-like substance was still happily flowing down her knee. Listening to her next words Nancy had to suppress the urge to smirk. Flatter yourself, why don't you? Yes, we all know that you're the most wonderful person in the world.
Then with a last flip with her wand the Intern Healer conjured up some which she also wrapped around Nancy's knee. Yeah, great! Now, the ugly gel-thingy was being soaked into her skin under the pressure of the bandages. That was just so gross!

Bandage conjuring spell. Inurio Bandi. Long swooping wand movement.
Antiseptic ointment conjuring spell. Antiarius Ontin. Twirl wand in a circle over empty hand.
Splint conjuring spell. Aidonsi Traci. Point and flick.
Mariel listened as the professor described the three spells they would be working on in class and carefully wrote the details down in her notes before attempting her conjuring work. Transfiguration was turning out to be a little more difficult than she had anticipated.
First the bandage conjuring spell. Swooping her wand, she commanded Inurio Bandi. Nothing. That was to be expected. She tried again and still nothing. On the third attempt, a bandaged snaked out of her wand. Mariel nodded to herself in satisfaction, wrote down her results in her notes, and attempted the spell a few more times to feel sure she had mastered it.
The same results came with the other two spells. Mariel had to attempt each spell a few times until she was satisfied with her results. Although she wasn’t able to master the spells right away, she was pleased with her progress and wrote down her results in her notes.
Mariel looked up as the young woman who was assisting the professor today, Miss Trelawney the Intern Healer, called for an assistant. She had never seen her before today, being fortunate to never have had to visit the hospital wing, but she noticed that Miss Trelawney had a strict, no-nonsense way of teaching. Good, Mariel thought to herself, maybe that will keep the incessant chatting so prevalent in most of the other classes down to a minimum, and keep the focus on learning.
Glancing around, Mariel noticed that the volunteer would be Nancy. Her eyes widened in interest as Nancy was ‘wounded’ then several of the spells were performed to ‘heal’ her. Mariel nodded to herself as she thought about performing those spells on a partner. Oh, she had to find a partner. Something that she dreaded. She probably couldn’t partner with Nancy as she had already been used in the demonstration and she saw Jenn had found a partner. Mariel looked around the classroom to see if she knew anyone else or if someone was with out a partner.

"Alright, if you think of questions, you may ask me or Professor Pride as you think of them. Now pair up and show me what you can do." She said then turned to the girl. With a flourish of her wand and a non verbal evanesco, Cassandra made the ointment, the bandages and the splint disapeared. She'd also Tergeo-ed the area so the girl was as clean as she was before.
"Ten points to Slytherin. Now. Out of my chair." She said as she retransfigured the cot into the chair while the girl was still in it. "And go find a partner..." Cassandra told the girl.

Shooting another glare at the Intern Healer Nancy quickly stood up from her "precious" chair. What was wrong with that woman anyhow?! Well, at least she had cleaned her up and removed this disgusting gel-thingy. Thinking about whether she should make a little bow just for the fun of it she decided against it. Nancy wasn't sure if the Trelawney-woman would be too fond of this. Slowly strolling back towards her desk, still having the impression that the gel was still on her knee she felt herself shivering at the thought. Ew, that had just been so gross.
On her way she spotted Mariel sitting on her own and, at least it looked like it, without a partner. Walking up to her she smiled at her and asked, "Hi, Mariel. Wanna be my partner?" Then in a whisper so that only Mariel could hear it she added, "I need a distraction and quickly." She rolled her eyes towards the Intern Healer.

Cassandra tilted her chin up as she sat back down and leaned to the professor audibly saying "Sometimes I think that manners should be taught in class, as some people's parents don't spend the time... I always thanked someone when they taught me something..."

Lucas heard what Cassandra said and since she thought he was a baby, he thought he should do something. He walked up to her. "Thank you." He told her. His mother had taught him good manners. "And thank you for helping me with my hand." He added. He went back to his desk to find a partner to start practicing.

Oh, good, Mariel thought as she watched the end of the demonstration. Miss Trelawney had expected Nancy to find a partner too, so maybe they could be partners after all. She breathed a sigh of relief when it seemed Nancy had the same idea as she approached her. Mariel grinned and nodded. "That would be great. So, since you had just been practiced on, do you want to try on me first?" Feeling it was best to get started right away, she held out her arm for Nancy to practice her conjuring spells. "Then I'll try on you."

Alex shrugged, "If I remember correctly, I believe your last term they attempted to teach manners in some classes, you may remember how that term turned out." She shuddered, at the end of said term, Alex had been blinded by one of the Ministry appointed nutjobs and the only reason she'd regained her sight was because of Cassandra's quick actions.
Her eyebrows rose up slightly as Cassandra refered to her as, Professor Pride. Where had she heard that name before? Oh yes, that was the woman who held her posistion before Alex began teaching. |

"Then I'll try on you." Well at least she had a partner. If she hadn't found a partner either then her day could have definitely been called disastrous. Smiling at Mariel Nancy tried to think about everything that the Intern Healer had told them, when she realized... "Hey! I actually received 10 points! Wow!" She muttered enthusiastically to noone in particular.
Nodding she added a little louder towards Mariel, "Uhm...okay. You need to help me though, if I don't know how to go on." Okay, you can do this, Nancy. Her only problem was that she might have not been listening during the part where Miss Trelawney had put the gross gel-thingy onto her leg. She had been kind of...uhm...distracted during that.
Taking Mariel's left arm into her left hand she pointed her wand at it and said, "Okay, let's pretend you have broken your arm while...uhm...any idea why you might have broken your arm?" She chuckled and then added, "Whatever. So, first the splint, right?" Not even waiting for an answer Nancy concentrated hard and then added, "Aidonsi Traci!" Wow, it had actually worked. She was kind of proud of herself watching a splint appear around Mariel's arm. "Well, that's sort of useless now since there's no dirt inside the wound...well, because there is no wound but still..." Nancy made a little movement with her wand and tergeo-ed the "dirt" away from Mariel's arm. And now it was time for, "Uhm...do you really want me to put that gross gel-thingy on your arm?" She looked at Mariel questioningly. Only thinking of the freezing substance on her knee made her shiver.

She looked at Mariel questioningly. Only thinking of the freezing substance on her knee made her shiver. 10 points? Mariel assumed that she earned that from the demonstration. Well, that was worth a bit of discomfort, right? Mariel nodded at Nancy as she began. "I have complete faith in you," she said mock-haughtily while grinning.
Her eyes widened slightly as Nancy performed the spell and a splint appeared on her arm. "Nice job." She wrinked her nose at the mention of the cold ointment as she remembered Nancy's reaction to it earlier. Not really, is what she wanted to say, but the whole point of this lesson was to learn these spells, that being one of them, so Mariel didn't have a choice. "Yeah, I guess you better. We're supposed to practice that one," Mariel said as she braced herself for the coldness and mentally repeated the spells in her head. Once Nancy was finished it would be her turn and she wanted to be sure to get them right.
