Mel started to practice the second spell. It was supposed to give you a substance, what was it called? Oh yes, antiseptic. A neat circle was traced through her palm and in seconds, she chanted the spell, "Antiarius Ontin" softy voice.

The antiseptic was just there in her palm. Mel smiled in victory and started studying the next spell.

Nicholai nodded. "So the solution would be to have a sterile bowl or something for the bandages to fall into when you conjure them." He mused out loud, writing that down and looking up and smiling briefly in acknowledgement to her praise.

Once he was done with his notes he stood and attempted the third spell with the point and flick, "Aidonsi Traci.". IT took a few tries but the final conjured splint was very sturdy and smooth and Nico immediately saw its advantages over the basic splint the ferula spell conjured.

He wrote that down in his notes and took a seat again.

He looked over to see Lucas crying and blinked slightly.

"Are you okay, Lucas? What happened?"

After vanishing the ointment from her palm. Liz looks at the notes she took for the splint. All right, that doesn't look too hard. She thinks to herself. Aidonsi Traci then point and flick.

"Aidonsi Traci" she says as she points her wand and gives it a nice flick. A splint appears. But when she tries to pick it up, it is really heavy.

"Ummm, Melinda, any idea, why it's so heavy?"

Lucas looked over at Nico with the silent tears rolling down his little brown face. "I don't know." he whined holding out his hand for Nico to look at.

"And the final spell is for conjuring a splint, for broken bones or severe wounds that need to be wrapped tight and kept still. The incantation is Aidonsi Traci and the wand movement is, a point and flick. Off you go!"[/B][/COLOR][/QUOTE]

As soon as Anna successfuly completed the first spell, she moved on to the second and third spells. Anna held out her empty hand and then twirled her wand in a circle over it. "Antiarious Ontin!" she called out. When the antiseptic ointment appeared in her hand, Anna blinked a few times, staring down at it in wonder. She never got these new spells right on the first try. Maybe this was just her lucky day or something...

Anna shrugged and put the ointment on her desk. Now...that third spell, and then she'd be done. With a wand point and flick, Anna called out, "Aidonsi Traci!" Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Oh, well. You can't get it right the first time every time...

Nicholai sighed. What on earth was with first years in his house treating him like their mother and trusting him with their illnesses and injuries?

He got up and walked over to the kid; looked like a mild to moderate burn.

"Excuse me, Intern Trelawney? Professor Pierce? We might have a slight problem here."

Nico conjured a bowl and used Aguamenti to fill it with cold water, dunking Lucas hand in it while they waited for a bit of help.

"You are pretty brave I've heard, Lucas; with all your exploring." Nicholai smiled at the kid, trying to distract him.

His hand instantly cooled as Nico dunked it in a bowl of water. He looked up at Nico. "Yeah I explored the castle a lot. I'm making a map so people won't get lost anymore." He told him with a slight smile as his hand still hurt.

Dominic was a bit confused as to how this lesson started with the Professor instantly telling them the spell and then to go off and practice it. That was kind of strange, but he wasn't about to argue. Besides, the spells did seem like they would be kind of useful.

Inurio Bani, he repeated in his mind, whilst practice the swooping wand movement. "Inurio bani," he finally cast aloud, not even bothering to practice actually saying it aloud before doing the wand movements. Much to his surprise, a long bandage materialized from the end of the wand and landed in a clump on his desk.

It worked! Now onto spell number two... ointment.

"Antiarius Ontin" Jayne grinned when a load of ointment dropped on the floor "Evanasco" the ointment vanished she tried it again, but this time she directed it at her hand "eurgh" she held up her hand with the ointment on it "Erm, Professor Trelawny..." Jayne wasn't sure if that was right, but it seemed respectful "It's all lumpy!" Jayne felt sick "And it smells disgusting!" Jayne felt like dropping the ointment but she resisted and kept it in her hand

Kayla said the incantation over in her head a couple of times making sure she got the pronounciation right. She also noticed Nico helping a first year and a little smile spread across her face. Now really it wouldn't be wise to do this especially with Trelawney in the classroom but she needed a little stress relief.

"Inurio Bani" she said confidently as she gave her wand a swoop right in the direction of Nicholai and Lucas. She watched with fascination as a stream of bandages flew out of her wand and...oh dear! One of the bandages looked like it was about to strangle the first year.

"Oops...sorry boys" Kayla gave the boys an inncocent look. "I seem to have got carried away" she bit the inside of her cheek to stop from laughing as she kept a straight face.

Meredith had written down her notes slowly, so now she was a bit behind on most other people.
She first practiced the wand movement of the first spell a few times, making the swooping movement the professor had demmonstrated. When she felt it was right, she tried the spell. "Inurio Bani" she said, concentrating only on the movement, the incantation and a mental picture of a bandage.
To her surprise, a bit of bandage appeared out of the tip of her wand.
After practicing a few more minutes, she finally got it right.

Nicholai turned and actually glared at Kayla. Seriously, regardless of what their problems were, Lucas was only a first year and she didn't even seem to care that she'd almost strangled the kid. Nicholai freed Lucas from the bandage and evanescoed it, sending another black look at Kayla before turning back to Lucas.

"I think you need some felix felicis." Nicholai commented to Lucas.

Kayla looked back at Nicholai and her eyes narrowed, he was lucky it was only bandages.

She turned her gaze to Lucas and her expression softened. "Sorry Lucas, it was an accident, I wouldn't deliberately try and hurt someone" she murmured as she turned her gaze back to Nicholai and raised an eyebrow.

Diana recited the charms to get the pronounciation right and then,pulling out her wand,she moved it in a swoop movement and muttered,"Injurio Bani".A considerable amount of bandage landed on her desk.Diana smiled,satisfied,and then,waited for the Professor to comment,so that she could continue to the next spell.

Lucas was about to explain to Nico that he was going to make his map talk with some bandages flew around his neck. The force that they wrapped around his neck knocked him over and he went tumbling to the ground and the bowl of water his hand was in went flying everywhere. The bandaged tightened around his neck and he he cried out in fright. "Help me!" He cried, he was scared.

Lucas stood up as Nico helped him with the bandage. "Thank you," He said through the tears streaming down his face.

Lucas wiped the tears from his eyes and looked up at the girl as she said she was sorry. He didn't understand why she was picking on him. He turned away from her and buried his face in Nico's robes to cry in peace. He was just having a really bad week and he really wanted his mother.

"Not necessarily. The bandages are sterile and will remain so until they are applied to the wound." She then turned to the small Slytherin.

She walked over to the boy and looked at the hand. "You're fine..." She said and took a vile out of her pocket rubbing a little of the unction on the kid's hand.

"Mr. Greenwood..." she said watching the kid. "Let's act our age... shall we? Do you want your aunt to find out you clung onto another Slytherin's robes?"

She Diffindo-ed the robes then repaired them so the kid was off Toussaint.

"NOW ENOUGH OF THIS!" She said in a booming voice. "Professor Pierce and I want to see the charms... Practice!"

Nicholai nodded to the response and then sighed in relief as he was freed from the kid's clinging. And just slightly soggy- Nico scourgified that part of his robes before beginning to practice the spells again, slowly getting the hang of them and occassionally stopping to add to his notes between each attempt.

Kayla quickly turned away from the two boys and the intern. Oopsie she had made him cry and now he was getting into trouble. She quickly tried to remember the second spell that she was supposed to be practicing, oh yeah the antiseptic one.

Tracing her wand in a circle on her hand, she muttered the incantation. "Antiarius Ontin" a second later a small pile of ointment lay in the palm of her hand. Although she was feeling in a rather disruptive mood today she decided to let this one go. "Evanesco" she sighed pointing her wand at her hand and watched as the ointment disappeared.

Qaz practiced the wand movements for several minutes without using the incantations.

Once she was confedent of the movements, she decided to try the first one.

Swoop. ‘In-U-rio Ban-i’ She felt a bit of a tremor as a long bandage spewed from the tip of her wand…onto the floor. Messy, but effective.

Walking into the Transfiguration classroom she immediately spotted someone who looked slightly older than everyone else and it wasn't the professor. Slowly sitting down on one of the desks in the middle of the classroom with a confused look on her face she waited for someone to explain who this woman was and why she was here at all.
Her questions were answered a few seconds after Nancy had asked them in her head. Medical Intern? Was this lesson going to be dangerous? She felt quite excited. She liked dangerous, after all.

After a few more minutes of waiting and watching other students finding their way into the classroom the lesson finally started. Bandage conjuring spell? Well, that might be sort of handy some times. Or in Nancy's case a lot of times due to her clumsiness. Suppressing a chuckle she wrote down what the incantation and the wand movement was onto a piece of parchment.
While listening to the professor's explanations the second year wrote down the other two spells as well. Looking down at her paper she smiled at herself. She really had to remembered those three: Inurio Bani, Antiarius Ontin, Aidonsi Traci Nancy repeated them a few times in her head.

Watching the other students around her already praticing the spells she took her wand firmly into her right hand, pointed it toward her left arm and with a swoosh of her wand murmured, "Inurio Bani" Nancy watched the bandages emerge from her wand and wrap themselves around her left arm with a quite surprised look on her face. Wow, she had actually done it!

The first spell seemed simple and straight-forward. The second one, however, gave her qualms. Goop in the hand….yucko.

None-the-less, she had to do it. Steeling herself, she put her left palm up, circled it with her wand and said, ‘AN-ti-air-ius ON-tin’ Nothing.

Qaz checked her notes….hmm, must have pronounced it wrong, she thought.

Trying again, left palm up, circle with wand, 'an-ti-AR-ius ON-tin’ This time, a glop of goo appeared in her hand. She resisted the urge to shake it off..instead, she pointed her wand, ‘Evanesco’ That was so gross.

Ludo was still taking notes on the charms as both staff members became more impacient towards the students practicing the incantations and wand movements.

"With pleasure..." he thought.
He took out his wand and cleared his throat. With a glimpse at the first incantation on his parchment he made a swooping motion with his wand and said, "Inurio Bani!" His eyebrows raised as the bandage sprang from his wand just as it had for the Professor.

"Excellent..." he muttered.

Okay so now for the third one. What was the incantation again, Kayla stopped and listened to some of the other students. Right, 'Aidonsi Traci' she said over in her head a few times and practiced the wand movement.

Taking a deep breath and concentrating as best she could. She gave her wand a point and flick at the table and said the incantation, "Aidonsi Traci." Kayla looked on the table at where she had pointed her wand and was dismayed to see a tiny little stick sitting in front of her. She picked it up and examined it, oh well it would make a fine toothpick she thought as she placed it into her robes.

Closing her eyes for a moment and concentrating hard on what she was trying to conjure. "Aidonsi Traci" she said firmly and flicking and pointing her wand once more. She slowly opened one eye to see if it had worked and gave a little squeal of excitment when she saw a splint in front of her. Okay so it would probably fit a dwarf but nevertheless she had managed to conjure one.

Ludo, now confident after conjuring the bandage, moved on to the next incantation. He looked once more at his parchment before casting and went over the spell a few times in his head.

"Alright..." he said, holding his wand in front of an open palm. "Antiarius Ontin." A very small amount of anticeptic was in his palm. Ludo grinned at his accomplishment. He tried again, clearing his throat and putting a bit more oomph in it. "Antiarius Ontin!" he said, very clearly. He looked again at his palm and found twice as much anticeptic as last time.

"Yes!" he muttered, satisfied. "Scourgify." Ludo held up his palm and vaccumed the salve off with his wand tip.

Okay, the last one…this was a point and flick, she remembered that, but what was the incantation. Checking her notes…Ai-DON-si TRA-ci, Ai-DON-si TRA-ci…got it.
