Of course, she would know, seeing as she was a girl after all. Undeveloped and young, but still a girl. "Skinny, tanned, one or the curly, long sideburns wearing one?" Concluded the girl as she pointed at the pitch, pale brows furrowing with disappointment. Gryffindor had failed to score and Hopton crossed her toes in her shoes for good luck, lest she jynx them. The first half still hadn't ended. There was still hope.
If you were optimistic, which Daphne wasn't. "The skinny tanned one" Kayla replied with a small chuckle. Not wishing to elaborate too much on the matter because she had been over it so many times before and Daphne was only 12 after all and at that age she probably wouldn't get it.
She shrugged before continuing. "It is but a small matter now but at the time it was important. We probably will never be friends as I will never forgive her for what she did" Kayla turned back to the game and her eyes rested for a moment on Anna before she tore her gaze away and watched the rest of the players.

Daphne listened silently and attentively and the word intense echoed ominously inside her head. Kayla didn't seem like a girl she would want to cross. Speaking of intense, Daphne glared briefly at the Hufflepuff hollering and cheering on Ravenclaw. Well, it was all well and dandy but weren't there half dead people in the pitch? Honestly, blood and exploding brooms wasn't her idea of fun.
"Well, that's that!" Exclaimed the blond, throwing her hands up, glad Jillian had managed to keep her head attached to her body. "No one died." Yet. There was still the other half. Tilting her head upwards, Daphne blinked as snow flakes fell on her eyelashes. "When did it start to snow? I didn't even notice. No wonder I can't feel my nose." And as if to make sure it was there, she rubbed at it with her gloved hand.

Ay yi yi, she'd only ever had one boyfriend...although she'd kissed other boys and flirted with too many to count, Rapunzel really wasn't a relationship expert. "Oh yeah, that sounds great!" Rapunzel beamed and accepted the chocolate. She noticed that Lima had one too, so now was a good time to cheer on the Claws. "WHOOOO! Go RAVENCLAW!" Punz stood up and waved her blue scarf around in the air, completely disregarding the fact that she might be blocking someone's view. Miranda smiled as she saw Rapunzel take a frog and then standing up to cheer. The match was going great, the two teams were strong and it was tough to know who would actually win.
Miranda shrieked as she suddenly saw a mass of wood coming her way. Ducking she could tell where the rubble had landed behind her. Straightening up, she turned to see Dominic with a fresh black eye.
She grimaced, that must have hurt.
Miranda slowly reached out her hand to Dominic " Chocolate?" she asked smiling

Kayla watched as the game came to an end and shook her head slightly at the bloody mess of half the players. This was why she never wanted to play the silly game, getting your face disfigured just to win a shiny cup. There were definitely more important things then that!
She looked at Daphne startled for a moment, she had almost forgotten the girl was there. "Yes no one died" she repeated quietly. Even Anna had managed to get through the game unscathed, wonder what Nico would have thought of her then, if it was she that had a bloody nose. Kayla shook her head she had promised herself not to think of him anymore.
Turning to Daphne, Kayla smiled. "I didn't notice it either" she shivered slightly and dug her hands deeper into her pockets. "I really hate winter" she stood up from the seat. "It was nice talking to you Daphne, I hope we get to do it again sometime. Right now I think I might head in to the great hall and get some hot chocolate."

"Daphne!" she yelled through the crowd. And that was the exact moment she spotted Daphne. She laughed and ran towards her friend. "There you are! I saw you when we flew up at the start of the game! Did you see me wave at you!" Jillian stopped right in front of Daphne, almost colliding with her. She also demonstrated the wave she did before with the arm that got hit by a bludger. "Oww...me arm!"
Jillian shok her head. Didn't matter. The game was so much fun. Her first game and she got beat by a bludger and the Keeper's broomstick, and they didn't really win, but she was ecstatic.

She spotted the seekers diving, then..... "EW YUCCCCCK!" Rapunzel blinked and started flailing her arms, falling backwards off her bench in the process. "Something gooey just hit me in the face! EW EW EW!"
She was completely oblivious to the shards of broom hitting Dominic or Miranda ducking next to her; nope, Rapunzel was vigorously scrubbing her face with her favorite scarf, hoping to Merlin that it was not BOOGERS that had landed on her.

"Pipe down!" Chided Daphne in a serious tone, even though she smiled in secret. "What did I tell you about manners?" It was only because she had just seen her survive a bludger attack that she resister the urge to clap her back and correct her terrible posture. "I saw you wave," lied Hopton through her teeth. "I waved too. Didn't you see me? Like this," concluded Daphne and waved at Jillian too, even though both girls were standing in front of each other. Worried, she frowned down at her arm. "Do you want to go inside and put something on that before the next session? Can you even play? It's barbaric is what it is," ranted Daphne, more worried than she was letting on. "Suiting up children to fly in broomsticks and keep themselves from being bludgeoned to death. All you need is for a dragon to fly at you at random or receive handicaps for mistakes and have iron balls attached to your ankles..."

Kayla nodded getting the hint. "Okay then" she replied and quickly moving out of the way of Daphne's excited friend. She chuckled lightly as she made her down the stands and headed back to the castle.

It was so like Daphne to lecture her that way,and right after a burst of excitement. "Right, manners, sorry." she said giggling.
Jillian nodded, uncontrollably. "Yeah, mhmm, I saw you before I turned around the goalposts!" Jillian traced the path that she took with her good arm. "I would've yelled 'hi' but then that would've been odd." She took one last look at the Quidditch Pitch before turning back to her friend.
"Thanks for coming, Daph. Means a lot." Then she hugged Daphne, not even caring if the girl protested. "Ow. Arm!" she said leaning back again. She saw the concerned look on Daphne's face and she simply shook her head. "No, Daphne, it's fine. I'll still be able to play." she said reassuringly. "And besides, there's some people I want you to meet...or at least get reacquainted with." she added, smiling slyly.
Jillian looked behind her and there were two of her teammates. "Oi! Cale! Anna! We're over here!!!" she said waving her arms above her head frantically. "Ow!" Bad move.

Besides, did boys worry about weight? Did he fear his thighs were too big and it would weigh down his broom therefore slowing down his speed in the pitch. Inconspicuously, she let her amber eyes fall down to his robes just in case his ginormous thighs could be seen through the winter getup.
Dominic blinked as he could have sworn he felt someone peering at him. As though she were eavesdropping upon his and Kayla's mini rift. Sighing, he turned back to look at Kayla, deciding it was best to pay simply no notice at all to the girl. She was of little concern to him anyway . . . Quote:

Clearly she was hinting from the fact that she saved his precious head from the pumpkin, but honestly, reason to bring that up now? No need. And ... did she just call him ... his stomach ... fat?! Okay, the truth was that he was a great player and Hufflepuff really needed him, but for some reason Punz couldn't admit that right now....well, not in front of a crowd of people! Slippery hands? Well the way things were looking in this match, he had a feeling not him, or anyone playing next week, would come out looking much cleaner. That was when he saw a blur of red and blue coming towards ...
HIM!
Diving quickly down to avoid collision, the fourth year slid belly side down on the bench below him, his feet flailing behind him. In just the way for him to accidentally kick Rapunzel. Whoops! "I.......Oh!!" The snow wasn't making things easier for him to stand back up either... Quote:

Hands flinging to his face, it was too late as the wood caught his eye and just above it. "OWWWW!" he exclaimed, louder than intended, his hand absentmindedly rubbing it. "Iceeee"
Scooping a handful of snow with his bare hands - ignoring the freezing - the fourth year slapped it onto his eye and just above it. It stung! Horribly. Whatever in Merlin's beard was IN that broom? Shaking his head, he looked over towards the first year offering him chocolate. "I... er... sure" he replied, slight hesitancy in his tone. It couldn't be THAT bad, right?

Daphne watched Kayla's back until she disappeared. Suddenly she was in Jillian's embrace briefly, body freezing up simultaneously. Luckily for the girl, Jillian's arm didn't allow her for prolonged or tight hugs and she had let her go quickly. Still, she frowned down at the injury. Bloody Quidditch--"Yeah, the Bludger might think you were calling him over. Not that it didn't find its way towards you anyways," muttered the girl bitterly, throwing yet another scathing look at Jillian's arm. She also pretended not to hear her call her Daph. When had she become Daph. The feeling was conflicting. She didn't know whether to be annoyed or flattered that she had earned herself a nickname. Humans were social animals by nature and tended to give nicknames to people they were fond of--or so she had read in those psychobabble books her pureblood father liked to keep around in order to get into the 'muggle psyche'. Pure rubbish.
"Oh," was Daphne's response to the prefects walking their way and she couldn't help but see Anna differently. What was behind that otherwise pleasant face? An evil woman with secret motives and penchant for angering certain Hufflepuff loners? Sucking her teeth, she pulled the scarf off her neck. "Seriously, Miss Jillian," muttered Daphne gently as possible grabbing Jillian's arm and making a makeshift sling for it with her scarf. "You're completely hopeless. Even more so than One-Eyed-Billy here," she remarked softly to Jillian and nodding in the direction of the boy who seemingly not only suffered some kind of unhealthy eating habits but was now sporting a nice little bump over his eye thanks to the shattering broom piece that smacked him silly.

Wrapped up in his coat, Gryffindor gloves, and his Holyhead Harpies scarf, Cale cautiously made his way up the frozen stands to where the little Gryffindors were sitting. His feet were still all soaked and snowy and he was not in the mood to be there...he quite honestly just wanted to get back to the common room so he could steal Ezra's hair products. "Hi again Daphne," he said with a smile. He hadn't talked to the younger girl since...the feast, he was pretty sure it was. And Jillian had been so insistant on having Cale and Anna come visit anyways he figured he'd humor her.
"You ok? I saw a couple of rogue Quidditch players come this way..." he muttered. He couldn't remember if he had been one of the team, but then again games were almost always a blur afterwards.

Ah...she had him worried as she watched him automatically look down at his stomach. Boys and their ego's...it was just too easy! Kayla smiled at Denton's remark, oh he was so witty...not!!!
"Dominic! Honey that is why you're not chaser on the Quidditch team. You couldn't throw a fit let alone anything else" she gave him a small wink and blew him a kiss. "But by all means give it your best shot" she held out her hands to show she was unarmed and to see if he had the guts. If he did throw something at her, he was soooo going to regret it!!!

Anna shivered and followed alongside Cale as he headed into the stands. Had it been this cold during the game? Possibly so, but Anna wouldn't have realized it due to all the action she was involved in during the game. Looking around and noticing how frozen everyone looked, Anna figured that it had been this cold for quite some time. Ugh. She should have brought her scarf and gloves with her. At least she'd had time to grab her coat before dashing out the Common Room this morning.
"Oh, hey, Daphne!" Anna greeted, peering out from behind Cale and seeing the young Gryffindor that she hadn't really talked to since the beginning of term. "Tough game, huh?" Anna said, sitting down amongst the group and wrapping her coat tighter around her.

"You ok? I saw a couple of rogue Quidditch players come this way..." he muttered. He couldn't remember if he had been one of the team, but then again games were almost always a blur after wards. Unfortunately, Daphne no longer possessed a scarf to hide behind so she merely settled for pulling at her robes, immediately appearing busy before the Mister Newell. "Hello Mister Newell," spoke Hopton immediately going blank. Glancing sideways at Jillian for help, she was glad Cale left an opening for conversation, no matter how insignificant it would be. "I'm fine. I think they were a bit more interested in ripping you guys apart."
Blinking, she figured perhaps she was being to harsh and brushed away some snow from her shoulders, contemplating how to fill up this little hole she kept digging herself into. "It's tough out there, no? What with the constant mortal perils--possible concussions, fractures and lacerations...It's also pretty cold. Is this snow? Seems more like freezing rain," ranted Daphne extending a hand to catch the falling snow. "If your feet get soaked in those boots while you play with this cold you run the risk of getting frost bite and losing your toes although I suppose the nurse here is trained well enough that she doesn't have to resort to barbaric muggle amputation."
All the while, Daphne watched Kayla tease(?) One-Eyed-Billy. Hadn't she left for some hot cocoa? Quote:

Well, that managed to cheer him up a bit from the rather depressed mood he had been in previously. "You don't have to call me Mister, you know," he said with a smile. "Just Cale is fine. Mister makes me sound like...I work at the Ministry or something."
He blinked as she went off into a little ramble, during which he momentarily started to zone out. What was she talking about? Oh yes, amputations and broken limbs and stuff like that. "Ehh, it's not too bad. I'm lucky I've only gotten a broken nose from practice so far but--it's all for the love of the game, I guess." he said with a shrug. He really didn't mind the cold and stuff, he hardly noticed it if they were winning. But of course, they were losing today so the weather was just...gross.

Daphne had to glance away to keep herself from going on about the high percentage of accidental death that hovered ominously over the pitch each time they had a match. "Oh, I'm sure it's nothing you guys can't handle," chirped the girl with a sickeningly sweet smile. Smile, Miss Hopton, Momma would be proud. Anna smiled playfully when Daphne addressed Cale as "Mister Newell." Well if that didn't shoot his ego up ten stories high, she didn't know what would. Then again, it sort of made him around like he was a professor or something...or someone's dad, maybe. Anna bit her bottom lip to keep from giggling. She didn't have to bite long, though. Daphne starting going on and on describing how Gryffindor was pretty much getting brutally murdered by the Claws out there on that field today. Yikes.
"Actually, we're pretty used to it, I guess. Well, sometimes. Quidditch can be dangerous even when you're winning, much less when you're losing," she mumbled. "We do have a small chance of coming back and beating them, though. A... very small chance. Anyway, yeah, we can handle it. We just need to give ourselves time to get over today's letdown, I guess." Anna finally let out that small laugh she'd bit her lip over a few seconds ago. So Cale did pretty much get the same impression she got over the whole "Mister Newell" name. It was cute coming from Daphne, though. At least Daphne helped Cale get over his moodiness a little. Geez. Sometimes her boyfriend could be such a drama queen.
Anna sat back and looked around the stands. Cale and Daphne were pretty much off in their own little conversation, so she'd just let them have their fun. Besides, Anna could always talk to Cale. They hadn't seen Daphne for quite some time.

Turning around, his eyes narrowed momentarily at her. "Sorry, but I better not. Gotta watch what I eat so my performance can be up to par for the quidditch game I have approaching fast." Letting a small smirk spread on his lips, he turned back to face the pitch . . .
... and ultimately, Rapunzel. Oh is that all captains care about? Some shiny gold cup? Honestly, it was probably more trouble than it was worth anyway. Though he wasn't about to argue with her, for fear he might not get to play if he did. Must seem like he cared ... "Of course... And who says Hufflepuff won't be getting it?" With a slight mischievous glint in his eyes, he smirked at her as well. Honestly; he was a possessive seeker, but really wizard as a whole; that snitch was going to be his. Whether Snakes liked it or not.
The Professor was quite lucky that people weren't constantly flocking to him. Ah the price of good looks being a Quidditch Player. "Learn something new every day," he smiled at the professor. "Playing is more than just pretty fun, but rather it is absolutely AMAZING! Speaking of which, you'll also be coming to the next game to see Hufflepuff take on the Slytherins?"
Dominic didn't really doubt that Mr Myers would, but had to ask anyway.
His topaz eyes flitted back to the pitch in time to see the Gryffindor Prefect score. Oh this was going to be a tight match, he could tell. His smile grew as he heard the one question that Dominic asked. "Wouldn't miss it," he said with a sigh knowing that there were several Hufflepuff's sitting around. "I do hope the Hufflepuff's do better than the lousy homework that was turned in. I'm quite ashamed that more didn't hand in an easy 20 points for the Huffles. Guess there is not a lot of pride within the Badger House?" If there was one thing he was at the moment, he was quite disappointed in the Hufflepuffs at the moment. Quote:

"I.......Oh!!" The snow wasn't making things easier for him to stand back up either... Rapunzel had just managed to get the last bit of goop off her face when she felt a hard kick to her back, sending her flying over the front bench again and into a pile of snow. "UGH!" Punz stood up, blinded by the snow in her face. Once again, she resorted to using her scarf (the other side this time) to wipe her face clean. "I'm sooooo getting out of here before the match resumes," she muttered to herself, brushing past all the Gryffindors and making her way down the steps of the stands. She needed some hot cocoa or something if she was going to come back at all.

| ♥Dunkin | Pixie's Precious Pea | kpop goddess | sneaky sounder | forever slytherin♥ Wrapped up in two coats , a Slytherin scarf, an oversized hat and an over-large pair of gloves, Raiden had found his way into the stands to watch a game that was overtly disappointing for the Gryffindors. He frowned; he couldn't take sides in this, as he had friends in both houses, but he couldn't help but feel bad for Gryffindor, for the massive loss that was happening right then. Hmm...
"D-Daphne Hopton!" Raiden called out suddenly as he spied her, just a bit away; his teeth chattered a little. He was so small that even with so many layers on, he couldn't generate quite enough body heat to really be all the way warm. Slipping slightly as he went, he made his way over to her, smiling brightly the whole way. "Hullo Daphne Hopton, how are you? Cold today, eh? And, er... wet." Indeed, his hat on his head was already quite damp... He looked at the girl with Daphne and, grinning, extended a hand. "Hi there! I'm Raiden, are you friends with Daphne Hopton too?"
Hmmm. She appeared to be injured. That must've been bad. Raiden couldn't remember ever being injured more than falling, or his heart thing, but that didn't really count for injury, did it? Maybe he'd been lucky! He remembered something suddenly and turned his attention back to Daphne Hopton, eyes wide and bright.
"Daphne Hopton, when's your birthday? Has it passed already?" he asked, smiling widely, a hint of mischeviousness evident in the expression. "Or is it still to come?" |

Nancy had a pained expression on her face as she finally arrived at the stands. Oh, great! Now she had missed the first part of the Quidditch match! Great! Nancy mentally cursed her knee and her clumsiness as she carefully and very slowly hobbled onto the stands to sit down on the first empty seat.
Half-turning so she would be able to see who else was there on the stands Nancy drew in her breath noisily and closed her eyes to not scream in pain. Ouch! She probably was going to have to go to Hospital Wing after all, whether she liked to or not. But not now, no, Quidditch was much more important than a hurting knee.
Spotting Miranda Nancy waved at her trying hard to keep the pain from her eyes. She didn't want anyone to pity her and stuff like that, she just wanted to watch the second half of the match like everyone else.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Meredith Natasha Lillian Adams Third Year | Sirius Lee B. Harry dayz! Meredith was wearing her Ravenclaw scarf , blue gloves blue cap and blue coat. She already had all this blue clothes even before she was sorted into Ravenclaw, it was her favourite colour. Luckily, the Ravenclaw scarf was very warm, because it was really cold.
Now she'd found her way to the Quidditch pitch and the stands, she sat down and began watching everything with great interest.
She was very exited, finally she would see a real Quidditch match! She had read Quidditch through the ages and thought it was really cool.
