If you've made it past the gargoyle, all that stands between you and the Headmistress is a solid wood door. On the other side of the door is a high ceilinged room with a desk at the far end. The walls are stacked with innumerable portraits, although they all appear to be sleeping deeply or otherwise engaged. The shelves and tables are lined with strange objects, some that seem almost familiar to you, and even a few you are certain are mutated Dark Magic Detectors. A low row of pictures line a bookshelf otherwise filled with various texts, and each features the same blond woman waving happily with some other person. You think you see a stuffed hippogryff and centaur peeking out from between the books.

Behind the desk sits a woman either deep in thought or dozing into sleep. Her honey-colored hair is pulled into a short, elaborate braid down her back, and she is wearing dark blue robes with flowers embroidered along the hems and neckline. Overall, she gives off quite a solemn appearance, until a sound from you catches her attention. When she looks at you, you realize her eyes, while tired, are full of laughter and a smile plays around her lips. "What can I help you with today?"

ooc: Do NOT, under fear of punishment and of me giggling and pointing at you... do NOT post in this thread unless you have the password legitimately. Also... the Gargoyle thread may be used as a sort of waiting area for the Headmistress.

Freya sat down as she was instructed, and placed her bag on the floor next to her, keeping her hands on her lap. "My name is Freya Skyler, Headmistress, I was advised to come and see you about something by another professor, who told me you may know more about patronuses." She watched the Heamistress before continuing. "I recently conjured a patronus in the Room of Requirements and it morphed from one form to another. At first it was a large crocodile, then it changed into a wolf, before disappearing. On my second attempt it only took the form of a crocodile. I was wondering if you could tell me why it might do such a thing?" Freya waited patiently for a response, she'd left out her more personal suspicions.

"It's unusual but not unheard of," Rae studied her hands for a moment before smiling up at the girl. "You're young and haven't established who exactly you want to grow up to be, you're still developing your powers. It's very normal for your forms to fluctuate before they settle."

Freya nodded, "That makes sense, Ma'am. A lot of sense." She looked at her palms before continuing, "Are the deceased able to attempt communication through patronuses? Or are they strictly conjured through the caster?"

"Your patronus is simply a spell, although it takes the form of an animal that has some meaning to you. It could represent your personality, but it could reflect a loved one who has passed on. But I've never heard of the deceased communicating in that way. They prefer other means."

Freya nodded again, "Yes, Ma'am." 'That's what I was hoping for. It all makes sense now.' She stood up, "Thank you for your help, I hope you enjoy the rest of your day." Freya said politely as she reached over for her bag. Nodding once more in farewell, Freya turned around and left the office, closing the door quietly behind her.

Ariana got up walking up the stairs towards the door to the Headmistress' office, feeling a bit more nervous than she was before. Suddenly she felt yunger than her 17 years; almost as if she were a First year again. Shaking the thought from her mind she continued up. The small bundle in her arms moved a bit, making Ari hold it tighter. Making it to the top, Ari walked in, hesitiating slightly before smiling at the headmistress. "Hello Headmistress, I hope I'm not interrupting anything important?" she asked by way of greeting nodding her head slightly. She found herself standing there, wondering if she should sit or wit until she was told.

"No, come in, dear," Rae waved for the girl to enter. "I'm just gathering wool. I should be working. What can I do for you?"

Ari smiled, noticing the comfortable atmosphere. "Thank you for seeing me." she paused, gauging her reaction. This was the first time she had been here for no other reason than to talk and she rather liked it. The bundle in her arms moved a bit more and she held on tighter.

Moving the blanket, a small furry head popped out of it, black eyes staring curiously at the woman before her. The kitten mewed, blinking curiously. "My cat Ginger had kittens recently and well, " she stopped as the kitten mewed, trying to get out of the blanket. "As you can see, I have a problem. I already have four kittens who have a new home and I was wondering if you would like one?" she asked, glancing up at the older woman with curiosity.

Rae bit her lip and reached for the kitten. "Does it have a name yet?"

Carefully handing the kitten over she shook her head, "No ma'am, I thought it would be best if you gave her a name. If you want her of course." she replied, smiling slightly. "She's all brown, except for this one white spot." she pointed, indicating the pure white spot on her head.

"Well aren't you sweet?" Rae asked the kitten, giving him a little nuzzle. "I would love to keep him, Ari. Thank you!"

Ari smiled, eyes warm, "You're welcome Headmistress. I know you're going to enjoy each others company" she replied, standing. and shifting her bag onto her other shoulder. "I'm afriad I don't have much time. There's a book on dragons calling my name and I have letters to write." she explained, smiling more. "I just wanted to give him to you before I forgot." she added.

"Well, I certainly appreciate you thinking of me. The girls will be delighted to dress him in doll clothes and leave their poor brother alone, but I think this will be mama's cat."

At this Ari laughed, imagining the poor kitten getting dressed up. "You'll have to send me a picture of that." she chuckled, before calming down again. "How are the girls doing?" she asked curiously.

"They're doing well. Staying home with daddy and becoming little brainiacs," Rae smiled fondly. "But I miss having all three of them at school with me, and little Marcus Orion will never know what it's like to be a Hogwarts baby."

Ross walked up the staircase and found a solid door so being very polite and not just barging Ross knocked on it and as he knocked a large bag would echo down the staircase . Jumping at the first one he realised what it was after he knocked twice more.

Ross walked into the room and looked around in awe as he saw how large it acctually was, noticing the headmistress he slowly walked over to her "Hello miss" Ross said politly.

"Well a ravenclaw told me to tell you that a bunch of ravenclaw found a bookfull of letterse they found clues that lead to more clues" Ross said trying not to miss anything out "something about a treasure, do you know what she is talking about?". Then he started to say what he came for "Well i was wondering if you needed anything done that i can help with"

"Yes, I do know what she's referring to," Rae nodded. "I've been informed from other sources. As for help with tasks, I really don't need anything done at this point. I appreciate the offer."
