Lillianna walked up to the table and waited her turn to speak to the headmisstress politely.

Cassandra's eyes were no longer on the headmistress... or Masterson and Myers... or Forrester, or even Erikson for that matter... she stared at the older chubbier man sitting by Dumont.

"Mr. Kapoor?" She asked with a puzzled look. Was he the new divination professor? She remembered her days with him... her mother had insisted she study with him... had she been 6 or was it 7? Why had she stopped? She couldn't remember. He probably didn't do as good as her mother expected...

Rae smiled. "I appreciate your kind words. Are you going to sit by me for dinner or did Mr. Myers require your attendance for the meal? I know how you young men always have to travel in small groups."

Her eyes shifted to the young Slytherin waiting. "Yes, dear?"

"Hmm..I would hate to leave you, especially after the trouble I've caused. Perhaps Mr. Myers wouldn't mind coming here? That is if you don't mind," he added.

"I wanted to know If I could help out with the first years ma'am", Lillianna smiled. She loved people and liked helping others too.

"No, thank you so much for your aid," he smiled and gave her a small bow.

Rey took a seat when it seemed the two acquaintances were going to chatter on about something.

Someone squeezed between him and another professor so, he extended his hand. "Reynard Bontecou. It's a pleasure to meet your acquaintance."

"Ah, Mr. Kapoor!", Antonio said happily, glad to have a familiar face here that he could relate to. It was surprising how few people he actually knew on staff, he supposed that was because of the split between the two schools from last term. Why, he scarcely knew the Headmistress at all, mainly through her reputation for fairness and wisdom, and the female professors and staff he had never really officially met before. "How have you been, it's good to see you again!" Antonio would make an effort to speak to all the other people later and make their acquaintances formally, for now it was nice just to have someone he knew close by. This was a whole new environment for him, even though he had attended Hogwarts long ago, back in the day.

"Yes, invite him down here," Rae nodded. "I'd love to have all taht young energy around me for a while."

"Aren't YOU a first year, my dear?" Rae tilted her head.

"no im second. I know every inch of the school thogh", Lillianna said. "I went to bauxbatons my first year and we got to visit here. If you dont believe me you can uestion me if you like"

"Alright," Neo nodded and then looked down to Caleum. He looked to be out of his world, much like the state he had been in previous. Hmm... He fished through his pockets again and found what he was looking for.

Acorn.

Taking it into his hand, he tossed over a few people, hoping it would it Caleum at least on the shoulder. If he missed, oh well. He had more in his pocket.

Rae smiled a bit at the enthusiastic girl. "If you went to Beauxbatons last year, you must not have heard that the school wasn't open last year. You couldn't have come on a trip."

"I know. That was why we came then so we wouldnt interupt your students learning", Lillianna ezplain.

Rae smiled at the girl. It was impossible, clearly, considering Brennan had locked up the school tight and kept the key, but the girl was very sweet and very earnest. "I don't need any help with the first years, but thank you for offering."

Drago found a series of conversations he didn't particularly care for. The first was the exclamations as to Cass-- erm, Trelawney's appointment there. Arguing on the side of the Cassandras would have ruined his position to talk with the Headmistress later, though she made her point perfectly clear. Arguing on Masterson's side wouldn't have done him any good either, since it would let the younger Cassandra know he was unappreciative of her time here. Not a good thing since they were currently working together on a private project, and he didn't need undue experiments on his person.

Well, perhaps he would ask Rae about Trelawney later, in a slightly more private and diplomatic manner.

The rest of the conversation seemed to become consumed by the birth of the Headmistress's youngest, which was much harder to deal with, and tuned out. Instead he tried to contemplate that Masterson had apparently been drugged by the younger Cassandra, though that only brought him back to the same that she had done to his wife. He shook his head and sipped at his coffee.

Max was unnaturally quiet while the conversations went on around him. His attention was focused on one table in particular and a frown erased the smile on his face. "Excuse me, Headmistress, but it appears that my presence is needed amongst the students."

He pushed his chair back and made his way down to the student tables.

Caleum was sitting in his chair when out of the sky came something that smacked against his head. "Ouch!" he said as he rubbed the spot that was hit. His eyes looked to the ground to see that it was none other than an acorn. Only one person would have one of those in his pocket.

His eyes slowly turned towards Constantine, eyeing the man seriously. "You rang," he said still rubbing the area that was throbbing a bit.

There was an 'ouch!' emitted at the table and it drew Carracio's attention. He looked over to see one of the newer professors rubbing his head and glaring at the professor who had spoken out against Trelawney. Well now, this was interesting. Having not much better to do, he watched on with no small amount of amusement.

Alex took another sip of her goblet and watched the other professors around her as they interacted.

The start of a new term alwas brought that familiar feeling of excitement churning up within Angela. This term was no different. In fact, if anything, there was greater excitement for she was finally back at Hogwarts.

Sweeping between the house tables, Angela moved quickly towards the staff table before finally finding an empty seat. "Hello Alex!" She greeted with a warm smile as she noticed that it was the Transfiguration professor that she had taken a seat near. "How was your summer?"

Alex turned to Ang and smiled, "Ang! My summer was alright, the usual. Shopping, bills, the works. How was yours?" she asked as she gave her friend a hug.

Angela gladly returned the hug before sitting back in her chair, still smiling. "Sounds like fun." She remarked with a chuckle. "Mine was wonderful. I spent some time with friends and with my books at home; did a bit of writing..." She trailed off before giving Alex an impish grin. "Wasn't supposed to say that, but...I'm actually beginning to write a few short stories; thinking about maybe adding them as a collection of some sort in the library in the future perhaps." She confided in a low voice.

Alex gasped, "No! Thats fantastic Ang! You must let me know when you finish something, I want to read it!" she whispered excitedly. "What are you writing about?"

Angela grinned at her friend's excited reaction. "Of course! You'll definitely be one of the first to read it. I'll be sure of that." She reassured Alex quickly. "Ah..." She pondered for a moment, debating on whether or not to tell her. "Well.., it's sort of a surprise." She admitted with a chuckle "But I believe I'll have the stories center around the age groups that attend here at Hogwarts, and at least one of them that I've written pertains to Quidditch."

After spending a fair amount of time half listening to the whiny females in his house, Dominic let his feet carry him elsewhere. He could still hear the words of Christine's loud voice, repeating through his head, Well I guess you're one sad excuse of a pure blood if you got stuck in hufflepuff with the rest of us "ordinary" wizards. Infuriated with her for speaking to him like that, he knew it was probably best to walk away. Even if it led him to the table consisting of the worst kind of people; authority.

Taking a deep breath, he eavesdropped for a moment on two older females chatting. Joy. Even half the professors seem to be female. Trying not to dwell on it too much, he blinked when he heard her talking of two more things he hated: Books and Writing. Ugh!!!

Armand looked about and wound up spotting a young Hufflepuff. "Is there something that I can help you with, childe?"
