Piper nodded as she opened her eyes, spots seemed to be dancing before her in odd shapes. "I..I think I can make it." She said quietly as she tried to stand up and felt the blood drain from her face as she settled back quickly on the floor, she seemed to grow colder and she blinked rapidly. "M..Maybe I..I can't." She added the throbbing in her arm was getting worse.

However despite her pain she smiled at Gwen's words. "Fwooper? That's funny.."

"I think one of us is going to have to carry her there," Antonio commented to David, realizing that the girl was in too much pain to walk for any great distance. "Unless Intern Trelawney can make it here, and it seems she may have already left and gone to the nurse's station on her own. It's going to be one of us, I suppose." Antonio looked around, he had never been in such a situation before.

"Whoaa," Gwen said as Piper lost her balance a little. "Just stay still, try not to move too much."

She chuckled. "A fwooper is a type of bird. Colorful plumage and all. Rumor has it its song can make a person crazy."

"Fwoopers are really cool," Antonio said. "I never realized you had one of those!", he said with surprise. "Fascinating, just utterly fascinating. It's a beautiful little bird and makes a great pet, but I hear you have to have something done to it regularly to keep it from singing or it will drive you mad. Is that really true?"

Piper looked around and she felt terrible for causing such trouble. "I..I think I can walk." She said softly, trying not to be even more of a burden to the professors.

She turned to Gwen and was glad for her being there. "Really? A bird? I like the name." She got out through gritted teeth. "I am causing so much trouble.." She said softly to Gwen as she closed her eyes.

"Naw, it's nothing," Gwen said. "It wasn't your fault or anything, not like you were dueling or in a food fight or anything. Although someone definitely did throw food at one point, so you might've slipped on something."

"I do have a fwooper. How did you know that?", Kapoor asked puzzledly. Perhaps Leroy was getting out in the night and befriending all sorts of Castle-dwellers unbeknownst to him.

For some reason, the girl finding Leroy funny struck him as funny and he had to fight a bit from laughing. The girl seemed to be a bit paler, but if she could find humour at a time like this, then perhaps she'd be just fine.

Kapoor, realizing that he left a few people in suspension, he turned back towards the Staff table and the conversations he'd been having.

"Terribly sorry about that, Professor Vindictus. But, yes, Wednesday sounds just perfect." Wednesday, wednesday, wednesday, he'd have to try hard to remember that.

He smiled at the Librarian. "Madame Kohan, I'm quite sorry for the diversion." He was quite pleased to hear that she was an avid reader like himself. For sure, he'd have to make a stop by the library at some point. "Please excuse me while I escort Professor DuMont and the students to the infirmary."


Kapoor turned back to DuMont. "I think you best be the one to handle her. My arms are probably not as steady as they once were." He said to the younger, stronger looking man. He briefly considered a levitation charm, but the if the young girl was not used to being levitated, it might be upsetting to her.

Piper let out a small smile despite the immense pain she was in."No, I was just trying to stand up." She got out softly, her eyes still closed for when she opened then the room spun. "Food fight? I must have missed that one." She said faintly.

She listened to the professor's talking about her, and she sighed trying to summon what strength she had to stand up.

"A food fight, here in the Great Hall?", Antonio said with disgust, not understanding how such a thing could have possibly happened and why it had gone undetected. He would certainly have to watch things more closely from now on. "Yes, yes, I agree," he told Kapoor earnestly. "It looks like there is only one way we are going to make it there. I will need both of you to walk with me and help escort us to the nurse's station, then everything is going to be fine. Don't be scared," he said, gently lifting the girl into his arms. He knew she didn't have the strength to walk on her own, and he was careful not to disturb the injured arm. "I'm ready to take her there," he said.

Piper grit her teeth as she felt the Professor lift her in his arms. She gave a soft cry of pain, for even through he was careful, any movement jarred her arm.She closed her eyes and bit her lower lip softly. This was not how she pictured her first day at Hogwarts being carried around by a professor with a broken arm, she opened her eyes and looked down at Gwen.Making sure she was still there.

Gwen shrugged, a smile on her face. "People talk. We were all real curious about anything at the other school."

"I'm sorry," Antonio said softly, not wanting to cause any pain but knowing there was no other way to get medical attention at this hour and that it was needed right away. "The hospital wing is on the third floor. We'll get you there safely, I promise." How he wished the nurse would show up!

She nodded, as the room started to spin again, "Okay." She murmured.
