NUUUUUUUUUUUUU. Evolette attack again. Quickly he moved his arm under the table, away from anymore of her punches. Darn, she hit too hard. Was she practising or something? Hrmm, he might want to suggest Nicholai as a punching bag.

'Why?' Terry countered, pretending to look alarmed. 'What on earth's wrong with beaches?' He smirked, raising an eyebrow suggestively, 'Do you have a problem with beaches in general, or just a specific one right now?'

Terry glanced over at Hugo, raising an eyebrow again at Evolette's abrupt departure. He twirled his glass, swilling his juice about. 'Should we...be offended just yet, Hugo?' He asked mildly, before turning up to see who exactly she'd left them for. Aaaah, and speaking of.

He bristled slightly as he caught Nicholai glancing her down, then nodded in reply, even offering a brief smile his way once he caught sight of the girl by his side. Hrrm, was this the girl Evolette had mentioned? The one he'd wanted to get back with?

'Anywho,' Terry murmured quickly, casting his gaze back to his best friend and grinned, 'How's this term been for you? And how were the girls? Were they swooning all over the place for you, eh?'

OOF. Yes, understatement of the century. "I can handle a tiny little thing like you, when you don't tackle me off my seat!" Hugo teased, sitting perfectly still as, predictably, Lettie's fingers quickly found themselves twisting through his hair, sweeping it out of his face and such. Natural reactions, it seemed. With Terry? No suprises there. Speaking of Terry, where on earth was the gangly idiot? He hadn't seem him in absolutely forever! Pffft.

Hugo turned to face Evolette, not catching on to the tone of voice in which she was speaking. "A lot!" He admitted, wrapping his arms around her and giving her a big squeeze. Hehe. It was true! He hadn't seen her since their little meeting at the hourglasses with Starling, which had been over a week ago. That was the only problem with Hogwarts; it was so freaking big, he never got to see his friends properly! "And how much did you miss ME?"

Hugo heard the mighty roar, before he was wrenched out of his seat for the second time. Blimey, was it annual 'Hug Hugo Really Ferociously Day" or something? Phewww. He'd need to employ a few body guards at this rate! Who even was that? OHEMGEE! "TERRY!" He cried, throwing his arms around his other best friend and squeezing him into the next century. "There you are, you blithering idiot!" He blinked as he was examined, and quickly did a spot check on the Gryffindor too.

Everything seemed to be in order! "I've missed you, duuude! Where in the name of Merlin have you been? And YOU..." He turned to Evolette, jabbing a finger at her jokingly. "...Where have you been hiding him? Tsk tsk, keepign him all to yourself! WELL!" He leapt onto Terry's lap. "Try hogging him nowww!" Yes, it was evident that Hugo Jermaine Woods was in a very good mood. In fact...there was Miles! He waved enthusiastically at his best friend, before freezing. He was with Vannie. Vannie, who he'd kissed. Merlin's Beard. Quickly, Hugo got back into deep conversation with Terry and Evolette.

He looked away quickly as the two of them exchanged 'hello's, not feeling entirely comfortable with Terry planting a kiss on her cheek. Still, he let it pass. "Dude, I know! It seems like just yesterday!"

Hugo sat patiently as Terry and Lettie began the banter. He smiled appreciatively and reached out to recieve the glass of juice when it was swiped from the air and downed. Hmph. Stoopid Terry. He eyed him, before grinning, and punching him on the arm. "Oi! That was mine!" He chuckled, and then blinked. What had Evolette said? Seeing each other over the holidays? Terry and her? His eyebrows knitted together and he peered at her out of the corner of his eye. HMMMM. She always came to his house in the holidays. Mer.

"Yeah....sounds good." Hugo replied vaguely to Terry, still watching Evolette. He came back down to earth, knowing that she'd be awful mad if he didn't buck up his ideas. "I mean...YEAH! Yeah, us lot and Miles." Miles. Gulp. He stole another look over at his best friend plus girlfriend, and then back at Lettie and Terry. Oo-er. They didn't know about the whole Vannie kiss situation. Still, it seemed as though Vaniles were back together anywho, so maybe it was a good thing he'd kissed her? Or...perhaps not.

"Thanks." Hugo beamed, and took the glass that she offered him, careful to keep it AWAY from Terry. Heh heh. He stared as Evolette leapt up and scampered off to mingle with Nicholai. Fair enough; it was the end of term and she probably wanted to expand her social circle a tad.


Hugo lifted his glass to his mouth, pausing slightly as he watched Terry's rather icy reaction to Evolette conversing with Nicholai. He hadn't realised that the Gryffie disliked him so; it was odd the way he almost shivered with displeasure. Hmm. Weird. Still, Terry was known to be slightly unpredictable, so he though nothing of it. "Not quite yet." He replied darkly, clenching his fists as Nicholai appeared to eye Lettie slightly. Eurgh. Creep. He'd never met the guy personally, but the way he was looking at Evolette and from Terry's reaction, Hugo found himself feeling extremely uneasy about the whole ordeal.

"What's up with that guy?" Hugo whispered, jerking his head towards Nicholai. "Has he got a thing for Let...Evolette?" Boy was Evolette lucky that she had two guys like Hugo and Terry who were watching her back. He was like a big brother to her...Terry more a protective lover. Still; same diff.

Tearing his eyes away from Lettie and her...friends, Hugo returned Terry's grin. "The term hasn't been...too bad." Lie. "The girls are nice..." Another lie. "Strangely they've been keeping their distance." And yet another big fat lie. He wanted to seem angelic as he could and stay OFF the topic of girls, in case somehow he let slip about the Vannie kiss. Shudder. "Er...what about you?" He moved on quickly.

Freya nodded in agreement, "You can keep a secret right?" She asked quietly as she leaned in a bit closer. It didn't really matter who knew, nobody had a clue as to where Freya was planning to go or who she might see. "I'm planning on sneaking back onto my mother's property over break. I really want to get a couple of things that she didn't send over to me when she tossed me out of the household." It was true, all Freya was sent was a few crummy books, a lab coat, paperwork and luckily for Freya, her protective layering that she had snuck away in a hollowed out book. "I just hope I don't get caught..." Her voice trailed away as she realized this. 'If I get caught I may not be back here...or back anywhere for that matter.' She shivered a little bit. "Here's hoping my mother hasn't altered the barriers around the perimeter." Freya took a drink out of her goblet and leaned back in her chair again.

Jinx danced over to Freya. "Hello I'm Jinx Moon, Edwrad's adopted sister", She said. Her voice sounded like bells tinkling.

Jinx had short, black hair in a spikey 'do. Her skin was as white as snow. Her red lips shown flashes of her pearly white teeth. Her golden eyes stood out from everyone else's. Jinx made every other girl around her look so plain. Jinx wore a plain white, short sleaved shirt with a blue vest on and faded blue jeans. He shoes were plain black converses. She was extraordinary.

Freya looked up as someone approached her, "I'm Freya Skyler. Ah, yes. I remember you, I think we met down by the lake at one point if I'm correct?" She put down her goblet. It was rude to eat or drink in the company of someone who was not. "How have you been? And I haven't seen Edward around in quite a long time. I hope he is doing fine."

"He's been great", Jinx said, "We finally got back from Alaska"

"Oh, Alaska. My old homeland." Freya said, slight concern in her voice. "What where you all doing up there? If you don't mind me asking."

"Our adopted father got a business call", Jinx said, "We didn't even have time to say goodbye"

"Oh, alright." This didn't make her feel any better, but she gave a small shrug. "As long as you didn't go too far north, you're sure to be okay." 'Probably stayed near the coast, that's where everything takes place usually.' "I hope everything went well while you were there. It's a beautiful state to visit or live in."

"It felt nice there", she mused. Her voice sounded so fragile and elegant that it made anyone's voice sound weak and raspy.

Evolette sighed, "Of course I approve you dolt. Had I not, I wouldn't have spent forever and a day trying to convince you to talk to her." She let a smile slip through her annoyance, this was a happy time, she was very glad that Nicholai finally had Kayla back. Maybe now he would get some sleep, and she wouldnt have to worry about him so much.


Evolette chuckled, "Oh yes, I am trying my hardest to restrain myself." she teased, placing a hand over her heart, "You didn't bring a Fwooper with you? Hmm?" she added. Regarding Kayla seriously, she smiled, "You know, I never did actually apologize for that, I swear if not for the Fwooper, none of that would have happened." she added with a nod, now everyone knew, so they could all be friends again, Evolette, Ncholai, Kayla, even Hugo and Terry....

.....well, Terry didn't exactly look like he wanted to be friends just yet.

.......and Hugo looked ready to break another glass.

Tossing her gaze back to Nicholai and Kayla, she smiled, "Well, it seems that I am- missed." she said, "You two enjoy your summer." she added, reaching over to give Kayla a hug, then over to Nicholai, who she also hugged. "Be good." she added to him, placing a quick kiss on his cheek. A purely friendly gesture which she made painfully obvious so that Kayla, Terry and Hugo didn't pounce on her.

She withdrew from the couple, offered another charming smile, and a wave, then she turned off, walking back to Hugo's side, and trying not to notice the way that the two boys were looking at her. "So, where were we?" she asked, smoothing down her skirt, "Oh yes, beaches."

'Hmm, okaaayyy, kind of odd.' She thought. "Glad to hear." Freya said as she gazed around the room. "So, are you looking forward to heading home for break?"

"Yes and no", Jinx said, "It will be kinda lonely with me and my adopted mother being the only girls"

Freya couldn't help but laugh a little bit. "You don't hang out with your male family members? Or do they just go their own merry way and ignore you girls?" 'That's pretty sad...'

"They wouldn't do that but sometimes you just want to talk to a girl that isn't your mother, you know?", Jinx said.

Freya grinned a little bit, "Yeah, I guess that's true. I usually was stuck talking to myself though...or animals. Not that they knew what I was saying." 'Oops.' "But I don't do that anymore, usually." She took a drink out of her goblet. "You don't have any friends nearby to hang out with I guess? Does your family live in the middle of nowhere as well?"

Rian bit her lip as she walked over to the Slytherin table. She'd never tried going to another house's table, let alone Slytherin. She sighed with relief when she saw Freya. She now had a legitament reason to come to the table.

She walked up behind her and tapped her on the shoulder. "Hey, Freya, mind if I sit with you?" she asked, her voice polite. She looked around and blood rushed to her face. Freya was talking to the girl Rian had recently embarressed herself in front of by tripping over Jenn. She smiled shyly at the girl.

Freya jumped when someone tapped her on the shoulder. "Oh, um, no I don't mind." She took her bag off of a chair that was nearby. Freya acknowledged the older Slytherin, "This is Penelope, she's fairly quiet right now. And this is Jinx Moon." She pointed to the younger one with the weird hair.
"So, have you enjoyed your term now that you can look back on it?"

"Sorry," Rian murmured when Freya jumped. She muttered a quick Thank you and sat down. She smiled shyly to the girl Freya introduced as Penelope. "I'm Sahrina Potter...nice to meet you," she said quietly. She realized too late that she'd forgotten to mention her nickname again, and decided to just say it later.

Then Rian turned to the other girl - Jinx - and felt herself flush again. She repeated the words she just used to introduce herself again, not saying her nickname. "But I think I've seen you before...I'm the one that tripped-" she didn't think that she'd ever stop blushing- "in the courtyard."

Rian nodded to Freya, happy for an excuse to look away. "I had a great term. I made a ton of new friends," she said happily and with a bright smile.

Whitney hardly ever listened to any warnings given to her. She thought they were useless, because it would happen either way,whether it was her fault or not. "Are you trying to tell me she got Raiden in detention?" she asked him curiously also looking at Raiden. He seemed like someone who would never get into detention. "That's just how younger sisters are supposed to be" she added smiling. Whitney had always wanted a sibling,younger or older.

"I remember", Jinx said smiling, flashing her perfect teeth.

"I used to do that when I was younger, but the always seemed to understand by the way they acted", Jinx said to Freya.

Rian was about to reply to Jinx when she smiled. Rian looked away, self-consious. Did the girl know that she was sort of...beautiful. Rian felt like she was a house-cat next to a lioness. She tried to stop blushing (as if thinking about it would make the redness go from her cheeks) and looked up at the girl again. "So...um..." she didn't know what to say. She wanted to get up and leave, but that would've been rude.

Freya nodded, understanding completely. "Yes, I'd just wander out into the woods for ages when I could and they just seemed to find me. Sometimes I prefer the company of animals over humans to be honest." She shrugged a little bit, surely everyone would understand that? Freya thought back to when she would walk into the woods and there would be deer, thestrals and even the occassional bear that would just watch her and come as close as they could to her. Oh how she missed those days, she actually wished sometimes that she could be back at her old home, just to play with the carrier pups again...but that wasn't likely. 'Not if I have anything to say about it.'

"How was school this year?", jinx asked Rian. Jinx's voice sounded like bells tinkling.

"I do too, most the time", jinx said to freya.

"School was great," Rian answered, happy to have a topic to talk about. "Um, I made good friends, and had alot of fun. The classes were alot better than last years, too, that's for sure," She grimaced than smiled genuinely.

"What about for you?" she wondered. Her head tipped to the side like it always did when she was interested or curious.
