Kayla chuckled softly. "Because I know you better than you think...amore" she replied smartly. She wasn't sure whether she wanted to know what that meant or not but Celandine was his sister after all and she highly doubted that he would do anything to hurt her. "Well I hope she learns her lesson then."

She picked up a fork and placed some mashed potatoes in her mouth...it was good but she couldn't wait until she could actually cook herself some good old fashioned pasta, just like her mother used to make. About the only thing her mother could cook, thinking about her mother caused a deep ache inside her and she put the fork down again.

Turning to Nico, Kayla smiled faintly. "So I purchased a villa in Greece. Can I be expecting a visit from you?" she asked with a hopeful expression. "Maddox said he was going to come and visit and I invited Amanda as well. Of course Cela is invited as well" she added.

"Oh I'm quite sure that she will; unfortunately it usually is only on a temporary basis with Celandine." Nicholai took a sip of his drink and idly ran his fingers in lazy circles on Kayla's shoulder as he watched her eat, a smile playing on his lips as he did so. He frowned slightly at her sudden change and instinctively pulled her tighter against his side as she spoke. "I'll escape to you whenever I can," Nicholai spoke quietly, knowing that she'd be aware that he'd have a few obligations to see to with his Uncle over the summer, "though I do hope that there won't be a full house all of the time."

"She doesn't mean any harm Nico, she's just out to have some fun. I wish that I could have been able to do that at her age" Kayla reached up and ran her hand lightly along his jawline. But no Rosa had made sure that Kayla grew up before her time.

Kayla nodded, she understood his meaning. "Well whenever you can. It would be nice to spend some time with you" she laughed softly and raised an eyebrow at him. "Well we'll just have to make sure that we time your visits when the others are not there" she really wanted to kiss him but there were just too many people around. Instead she rested her head lightly on his shoulder. "Do you think you could contact Keiran for me?" she had made up her mind to see her parents and although she wouldn't be able to talk to them, just seeing that they were alright would make her happy.

"I know she doesn't but she's old enough now to know better and to think about how her antics might harm others." Nicholai shrugged; it was better that she learnt that from him rather than from their Uncle. He smirked slightly as she brushed her hand against his jaw and speared another slice of apple with his knife.

He chewed thoughtfully and smiled indulgently at Kayla's laugh, "I'm sure we can manage that." He listened as she rested her head on his shoulder and nodded, "I already have, actually." Nicholai responded quietly.

Kayla shrugged, "Well she's your sister and you know her better than anyone else, so whatever you think is best" what she wouldn't give to have a sister. She looked over to the Huffie table at Maddox, well she had a big brother, so why not a younger sister.

"Oh I'm sure we can too" she agreed with a mischevious smile. "There is much to do and see. And the beach is right across the road." Kayla lifted her head off Nico's shoulder and gazed at him in wonder. "You have? But how did you know that I wanted to see him?"

Nicholai shrugged thoughts of Cela away; she'd be fine and of course Nicholai would do what he thought best; he always did. "The beach?" Nicholai paused, contemplating the possibilities and realising he'd have to take a calming draught himself to avoid the urge to scourgify each tiny grain of sand. Then again Kayla kind of was his calming draught.

"Actually I got in touch with him a fair while ago now... after you slapped me." Nicholai paused and cocked his head to look down at her with one eyebrow raised. "And is organising for them to win an all expenses paid trip to wherever you'd like them to go." he paused, "And he was to take you to the same place, but I think I shall step in and accompany you myself?"

End of term? Already? Never! Boy, had Hugo Jermaine Woods' first term at Hogwarts gone fast or WHAT? He'd be a fourth year soon! EEP! Slightly scary thought. He made his way to the Slytherin House Table, ruffling his goldylocks as he went. Where in the name of Merlin's spotty pink underwear was his crew? He hadn't seen Lettie in forever and a day, and as for Terry and Miles...well! He'd practically forgotten what they looked like! He straightened his silver and green tie, before falling into a seat at the best Slytherin table and grabbing a glass of pumpkin juice.

Hugie's Crew? NOW PLEASE?! Sniffle. Hugo wanted his three bezzies to hurry themselves to the feast; they were nowhere in sight.

Evolette had somehow lost Terry in all of the hustle and bustle of the Great Hall, she was standing off to the side, with her arms crossed tightly, trying to see over the heads of several large boys until she gave up, and with a strangled moan of annoyance, she headed over to the table.

Her sour mood disappeared immediately when she saw the blonde boy. "Hugie!" she squealed, throwing her arms around him as she practically tackled him. She took a deep breath as if she had forgotten what he smelled like.

"We don't have to go to the beach if you don't want to" Kayla replied, taking in the look on his face. They had been swimming together before, she didn't understand what the problem was now.

Kayla grimaced slightly at that comment. "You're never going to let me live that down are you?" Never in a million years had she wanted to raise her hand to him but he had pushed her and pushed her so that she had lost total control. "An all expenses paid trip? She tried to think of the one place her parents had always wanted to go? Kayla looked at Nicholai for a moment, she didn't quite understand what the purpose of this was especially since her parents didn't remember that they even had a daughter but she wasn't about to knock back being able to see them again. "I guess we're going to Singapore then" she grinned happily and picked up the fork once again and started eating off Nicholai's plate.

Hugo lifted his glass to take another sip of pumpkin juice...but his glass was knocked out of his grasp as SOMETHING came charging into him. AAAAH! "Lettie?" He managed to stutter, before he went toppling backwards onto the very hard floor. Ow. And she fell right on top of him. Desperately squirming, he managed to pick himself to his feet, dragging Evolette with him. "Blimey Lettie, do you wanna hug me any...more dangerously?" He asked, rubbing the back of his skull which was throbbing.

Flopping back into his seat, Hugo chuckled. "Hello to you too! Where have you BEEN?" He asked, nudging her playfully and peering around for his glass. Oh. There it was. Completely SMASHED. Hmph. Smooooth Lettie, smooth. "I haven't seen you in ages!" He moaned.

"Oooof!" Evolette and Hugo landed on the floor. That had not been the way she had intended her entrance to happen, Whoopsie. "It's not my fault that you can't handle a tiny little thing like me." she sniffed, as they both climbed back up to the table.

Reaching out, her fingers worked into his hair quickly, trying to fix it before anyone noticed that it was messed up."I was with Terry." she replied quickly, waving her hand in the air.

"So....." she started, smiling at him, "How much did you miss me?" she hoped that he didn't notice she was using the voice, you know, the tone that girls used when they asked Daddy for money, or try to get their boyfriends to do something for them, or in her case, telling her bestie something and not wanting him to freak.

"That'll be great. I can use all of the help I can get." Now that Whitney though of it, she was pretty horrible at dueling. She was a lover not a fighter. "Lets just say Defense Against the Dark Arts wasn't one of my best classes."
"Sounds fun. Kayla,Maddox,Camira and Amanda. And let me guess, you'll be the life of the party?" Whitney asked laughing. She was actually a little happy to be going home to reunite with old friends. That was the only good part about it though.

Than a Huffie walked up to the table, and smiled at her. As she saw Nico wrap his arm around her, she figured this way Kayla, Nico's girlfriend. "Hello"

Kayla looked over to the younger girl who had spoken to her. "Hello, I'm Kayla" she said extending her hand towards the girl. "Fourth year..."Kayla gave Nicholai a quick sideways glance and grinned..."Dramapuff" she finished. "What is your name?"

'Yep, that's her.' "Nice to meet you Kayla the 'Dramapuff'" Whitney said adding air quotes. Huffies really did seems to have enough drama to last half a life time. "I'm Whitney, first year. Slytherin." Introducing herself, she realized it was probably rather obvious that she was Slytherin. "I've heard about you from both Nico and Amanda. Nice things of course." she said smiling.

Freya reached the Slytherin table again. Not wanting to interfere with any other group's conversation, she took a seat as far away from the others as possible. She reached into her pocket and pulled out the stone that had been made in the Room. 'What if this thing is dangerous?' Freya wondered, 'This is so strange. I lost my black stone after I gave it to Kairi for protection, and now I've managed to get a new one. Things certainly turn out in weird ways in this castle.' Freya leaned back in her chair, sitting up as straight as she possibly could. Looking towards the staff table Freya could make out a few of her instructors, but it seemed several were still missing. She gave a sigh and put the stone away again, wondering where the time had gone since she had first arrived here. Freya didn't want to leave...not yet anyway.

Kayla laughed at Whitney. "It's really nice to meet you too Whitney" she said still smiling and she raised an eyebrow at Whitney's comment and she looked over to Amanda and gave her a wink. "I'm pretty sure it wasn't all nice but we seem to have gotten over our little tiff now." It felt really good to be able to sit at a table and not be in the middle of some epic drama. Pretty ironic to be thinking that seeing how she was usually the one to start all the drama, thinking of Kyler she shifted uncomfortably for a moment.

Kayla glanced over to her own table for a moment and she suppressed a smile. Things seemed to have settled down now though, maybe she should just stay here. "So Whitney do you have exciting things planned for the summer?"

Laughing, she said, "True,but it wasn't too bad. It's great that you both made up." Friends fighting was never good. 'Look at them now, they're getting together in Greece.' Summer, again. Whitney supposed she could say just what exactly she was going to do. "Exciting? Not even close. More depressing." Than, figuring honesty was the easiest way to go she said, "I'm going to help finish setting up my father's funeral. That's all I know so far. Basically, staying home hoping my mother lets me come back here." Whitney said finishing with a side smile. "I hear you're going to Greece. Sounds fun." she added.

Kayla nodded and looked at Amanda again. "Yeah it is" she agreed. Life was too short to have enemies and she had enough of them on the outside, she really didn't want anymore.

Kayla's facial expression changed immediately to one of sympathy. "Oh I am so sorry to hear that" she wasn't sure on what else to say and she looked at Nico and then to Amanda. Then hearing Whitney mention Greece, Kayla nodded. "Yeah I am, I have a villa on one of the islands. Maybe you could come over one day, you know if it gets a bit much for you" she hoped Nico didn't mind that she seemed to be inviting about half the school to her villa. But she didn't want to spend too much time on her own, she was likely to do something reckless if she got too bored.

Whitney was sorry to have brought on the sad feelings. She saw Kayla look from Nico, to Amanda and back to her. They didn't know about her father either."It's okay. I'm getting better with it though." For now, she was okay with it. She couldn't imagine how things would be when she got to her mother. Whitney had no idea how she was doing; she never wrote back to that letter. "It sounds beautiful. And thank you but," Whitney thought for a moment. "I should probably stay home and take care of things." She regretted her answer but she knew it was the right thing. "If things become too much, I'll just write or sing. Maybe next time though." She said almost laughing. She wasn't sure why she wanted to laugh though, the only reason would be because it had been forever since Whitney had last sang or wrote.

Penelope walked into the hall looking for familiar faces. She sat down and looked around hoping someone she knew was there.

"Penelope." Freya said as she moved to a seat closer to the girl. "I hope you've gotten all of your stuff packed and ready. Looks like we're leaving very soon!"

'Oh hello, Freya, yes I've packed everything. have you?'

Biff sat down and waited for Isabella. He finally saw her. "Ready to eat?" Biff asked her."I am having chicken, mashed potatos, bangers and carrots" Biff told her. " I am going to have some apple pie later" he told her.

"Well, with my help, it will become your best class. Trust me, if things were different in my life, I'd be a lover not a fighter. But that's all I know, I had to fight to survive." Amanda said looking down slightly.

Freya gave a short nod and drank a very small amount from her goblet, she wasn't hungry at all for some reason. "Yes, I had just finished before I ran up here. I still can't believe how fast that term went, and I only have one more to go through before I leave for good." She stared down at the table for a moment, not knowing what else to say at the time.

Freya gasped as she listened to the Headmistress' speech. 'What? Another one?! I am a jinx! It's my fault!' She shook her head wildly, her long hair swinging around her face. Freya turned to Penelope, "Headmistress Rae is leaving as well!" Her voice was mildly concerned, though her expression was somewhat blank. 'I wonder what is going on outside these walls...' Freya's mind wandered in thought as she stared at the enchanted ceiling; snow was falling lightly. The train ride back was going to be very quiet indeed..."Who do you think is going to take her place?"
