Freya entered the store, still a bit hunched and looking quite timid as she crossed the room. She examined several quills that appeared to be nice, 'I could always use another anti-cheating quill. Not that I'll need them however.' She thought as she took two of them with a small smile. Freya spotted some more parchment over in one corner of the room and went to have a look. 'This should do nicely.' She told herself as she took a set of 30 wt A Grade Parchment from the stack.
Freya glanced around after hearing a familiar voice. It was Nathaniel. 'Seems to be having an off day.' She concluded as she made her way to the counter to pay for her items, deciding not to interfere with whatever was going on. She'd made enough of a mess with her big mouth as it were.

Miranda was utterly confused with the parchment. What is up with all the different numbers and letter?
She noticed another girl that choose some parchment, she seemed to know what she was doing. Perhaps i better ask her...

"Excuse me..." she said with a smile "Could you please help me? Im so confused about the parchment, which one is the regular one...You know to do homework and stuff..." she trailed off hoping she didnt sound like a goof

Kairi walked into Scrivenshaft's, her sister in tow. "There, you're in heaven, can I go now?" she said, sighing hopelessly.
Georgina tutted, "Oh no, you still need to buy me something for my birthday, and what better place to buy it than in Scrivenshaft's" she said with a contented sigh.
Kairi rolled her eyes and then turned to have a look at the quills. This wasn't really her sort of shop, she'd never really been one for writing. She ran her hands over a couple of quills and then turned back to her sister, "What do you want, then?"
"A quill, duh," Georgina said, giving her sister a quick smack on the head, "Now buck up your ideas and buy me something!"
Kairi sighed, and once again looked at the range of quills for sale, she couldn't see them or what they were called so she would have to guess by their vibrations. What a great day out this was going is going to be, she thought to herself, rolling her eyes again.

Switching up the subject a little, Nathaniel responded with "Oh, yeah,being a beater sounds like a lot of fun. You could hit out your frustration with classes out on the field during practice or games! I can see you as a chaser, though. You seem diligent enough for the part."

Nathaniel said "I don't mind the bluntness. As I mentioned before, Sophia and I really like each other. Nathaniel glanced in the window he was sitting near and did a double-take. He couldn't believe his own eyes, as he looked at his hair, jaw dropping, as it had gone from the small streak of the brilliant, pungent blue, to his entire scalp of hair turning that color. What in the world!? Nathaniel thought to himself, as he brushed his hand through his hair. What will Sophia think?? I'm sure she'll like it, although I'm not sure if I do or not. He wondered if it was a spell or charm one of the older students had looked up in a book and put upon him, he certainly didn't have any enemies to his knowledge. "I'm not the only one seeing this, am I? It is all blue, isn't it?!" Nathaniel nearly yelled at Mariel.

Mariel shook her head. "No, I haven't seen anything in the common room about Potions or when it starts." She sighed when he mentioned Muggle Studies. "That's the thing though. I don't know anything about the culture. I stumbled across the professor's office at the beginning of the term and was completely out of my elelment. That's another story though." Not one she was completely sure she was willing to share with someone she barely knew. She came to school to learn about magic, not about Muggles anyway. Mariel eyed Nathaniel curiously. "But you seem to know a bit about it... You're clearly not Muggleborn, if you're father went to school here. I'm guessing not pureblood... Halfblood, then?" Not that it really mattered to her, she just liked to figure people out.

Mariel nodded thoughtfully, lost in her own imagination as Nathaniel talked about travelling. She was snapped out of her thoughts when he said something she didn't quite understand. Looking at him quizzically, she asked, "What do you mean you and your girlfriend didn't know each other's families? You didn't know you came from wizarding families? How is that possible?" That didn't make any kind of sense to Mariel. Everyone she knew in her sheltered life knew she was from a wizarding family. Her father made that quite plain.

She took in his unusual appearance once more. "Yeah, all blue. I told you that you looked good blue," she grinned, trying not to laugh. She tried to look serious as she could tell he was getting awfully distressed. "You haven't eaten anything strange, have you? Or changed shampoos?" Mariel shrugged, clearly out of suggestions. "I'm sure the nurse can sort it out, at any rate."

Livvy smiled awkwardly and just waved goodbye. "Kay... I'll catch you guys later then," she said and began to look for some parchment and some quills. She spotted Kairi and she waved. "Hey!"

Freya jumped slightly at the sound of a voice near her, she wasn't expecting it at all. "Um, well," She began a little hesitantly, "I would go for the 20 wt B Grade Parchment, that's just my preference. It's a better quality parchment, the B grade. Or if you would like you can also get the 10 wt B Grade parchment, that's also fine." Freya said, hoping that she was a bit more helpful than she sounded. "I'm getting the highest quality now because I tend to write a lot more than I should, with schoolwork or letters."
Freya eyed the other students she knew in the shop...she really wasn't in the mood for conversation. She was becoming as reserved as she first was weeks ago.

Miranda watched her curiously. When the girl began to explain she felt relieved, atlast she wouldnt have to stand in this shop looking like a questionmark.

When the girl started to say the different parchments, Miranda's jaw dropped slightly Hmmm i really should read up on all these different qualities...
Miranda did get, though, that 10 wt B Grade parchment was good, so she would try that one first. She grinned at the girl "Thankyou for the help, really!" she was very thankful for the help "I think I'll try the 10 wt B Grade first...to see how it feels..." she trailed off, Miranda wasnt sure the girl cared really. "It's no problem," Freya said quietly as she gave a small smile and turned back towards her own parchment, examining the edges closer to make sure it wasn't too damaged. "Glad I could help you." She felt so awkward and out of place. Until a couple of days ago, she would have been the one not shutting up about things.

Chalice stepped into the shop. She needed more parchment and decided that she could us a few nice new quills and colored ink. She first grabbed a stack of 60 pieces of 20 wt B grade parchment. Chalice then parouzed the quills, she selected one eagle, one peacock, and two brilliant red phoenix quills. She went to the ink, she picked a bright pink, a Gryffindor red, a bold gold, and a sky blue. She went to the check out and handed the cashire 20 galleons.

Kairi turned at the sound of Livvy's voice, "Hey, Livs," she said with a grin.

Jessica needed to get new supplies for school, so Scrivenshaft's was the place she went to.

There were some younger students chatting around, but she didn't notice anyone familiar. Therefore she headed for the counter and asked for some quills, black, blue and orange ink and some parchment and prepared to pay.
