Daphne had gotten used to the periodic rumbling in the dank chamber. No longer did she jump or shriek when things appeared. Her eyes darted up to the statue of Rowena Ravenclaw as she "spoke". She paid very close attention to specifics in the riddle, knowing that was paramount to locating the treasure. After it finished, she carefully went over the clues.

"If the first isn't blue or green, or pure of heart - that's Gryffindor red... It's got to be yellow!" she said aloud, walking over to where the yellow light hit the ground. She walked around the whole display a few times, thinking about the second. "Birds of peace, like doves?" she asked, stopping at the white circle. Two down, she thought to herself, smiling. For the first time she could see why she ended up in the Ravenclaw house. "Third, fierce courage... blazing truth. Sounds like a Gryffie to me," she smirked, looking down at the red circle by her feet.

She thought about the fourth one for a little longer. "Blasting through obstacles... astute mind..." she mumbled, eyes darting from the blue to the green beams of light. That description could apply to both the Ravenclaw and Slytherin houses. She eventually stepped in front of the green circle. "Blasting through obstacles, definitely Slytherins," she laughed, though she knew a few Ravenclaws who could fit that description.

She slowly walked towards the last unclaimed circle. "...proves wit is the final key," she said slowly, halting at the blue circle. "That's us," she stated proudly. "So that's yellow, white, red, green, and blue," she said to the group, more than willing to work together with the Ravenclaws.

Rian heard Daphne finish what the others had started, and darted over to her side. It was amazing that this thing had brought most Ravenclaws together, how they all worked together willingly, learning more about eachother.

She blew out a breath. Maybe that was the point.

"I agree," she said to Daphne. "I think it's that order. That's what makes sense to me." She went back to biting her lip, thinking.

Jenn screamed in shock at the feeling that passed through her. It felt horrible. "Ow."she said, jumping off of the light. She rubbed at her arms, trying to get the feeling back in. "You o.k?"she asked Karma.

Jenn smiled. "Nice tune, and finally, anwsers."she said happily.

Jenn sighed. They seemed to get more and more closer to all of the Ravenclaws. She actually knew more people. Maybe that was the point. To get them together. Jenn nodded. "I agree also. It sounds good, and right."she said, smiling at Daphne. "Good thinking."she said, hugging the girl.

Daphne smiled proudly as the girl appeared right at her side. She felt a bit like a leader, but she knew that attitude wasn't in the spirit in this challenge. Having gotten the riddle out of the way, she put up her blond hair and started thinking about how to order the circles.

Daphne tensed up as the girl she had been at odds with before embraced her. She slid out of the tight hug, saying, "Erm... thanks." Realising she was being cold towards Jenn, she gave a light hug back to her, showing the unity the challenge meant to bring out.

She walked over to the mirrors, examining them carefully. She them eyed the light and the prism and the circles. "What do we have now?" she asked the group. "Mirrors and light..." she rattled off, not really sure how that was helpful. "Lumos" The tip of her wand glowed brightly. She held up up to the mirror, looking for some symbols in the frame. Her eyes caught the light reflecting in the mirror. She quickly knelt and held her wand at an angle, testing how the light interacted with the reflective surface.

In a "Eureka!" moment, she waved her wand and the mirror flew through the air. She directed it with her wand, arranging it in the air so it took the yellow beam of light and intersected it. The circle disappeared as the mirror deflected the light, sending the circle a feet away from the original spot. "Hey guys..." she said cautiously, wary interfering the light that had caused so many problems in the past. "What if we take the mirrors and arrange them so the circles appear in the proper order! Look!" she adjusted the mirror's position, and the circle moved around accordingly. "We can adjust it so they appear the way the riddle said!" She backed off away from the mirror in case the power from the light caused the surface to break or shatter.

Mariel listened as Daphne expounded on the group's findings and brought more clarity to the riddle's answers. Still wondering what exactly to do with the circles, she looked towards the older girl, hoping she might have some ideas. Maybe she did since she was now moving one of the mirrors around to deflect the light.

Mariel nodded at the other girl and lightly shrugged as Daphne explained how she thought they should arrange the mirrors. Seemed like a good idea. "It's worth a try," she said, encouraging her to proceed.

Daphne carefully let the floating mirror stand on the ground, one less thing for her to worry about. She turned to a first year, who seemed keen on her plan. "You can help, the mirrors might need to be held in the air to have the order, and I can only deal with one at a time," she explained. She muttered a spell and another mirror slowly lifted off the ground and moved towards the white beam of light. She rotated the mirror in just a way so the light hit the ground right beside the yellow circle. She needed to hold that mirror in place, or else the light wouldn't land properly. "I'll need some help, guys," she said, wanting to further the treasure hunt.

Mariel stepped forward as Daphne levitated another mirror and asked her for help. Trying not to feel intimidated in a room full of mostly older students, she drew her wand to aid in the task. "Ok, I'll do the third one - that's red," she said, noting that the first one had been done and that Daphne was holding up the second. Copying the older girl's movements, Mariel levitated the third mirror, rotating it so that the red light landed third, next to the white one. She concentrated all her efforts on keeping that mirror in place, silently imploring two more students to come to their assistance.

Elizabeth had been standing, listening to everything going on around her as her mind worked. And after the voice had spoken again, and it seemed like they finally had a plan, she snapped out of her thoughts. "Okay." They were asking for help. And she definitely knew she could manage to levitate a mirror. Taking her wand out, she said, "I'll help." She waved her wand at the fourth mirror and said "Wingardium Leviosa." Moving the now-floating mirror around, she reflected the green light into the position next to the red.

Daphne was thrilled with the help she was getting. "You're doing great!" she encouraged the two girls holding up the mirrors. She knew it wasn't quite so easy to hold it stead, her own mirror had a slight shake to it. She knew it was just one more and all the lights would be in order, hopefully that would be the resolution and get them further in the hunt. She was all of a sudden very interested in the adventure. How quickly things change.

The levitating mirrors wobbled dangerously before each shattered into a million pieces, the crashing echoing through the chamber.

"You are partially correct in how to complete the task, but wrong in the manner to do so." Spoke a sly voice.

Cela had been watching the others and half listening to them, nodding in agreement every so often. When the mirrors shattered she turned away from the statue and looked around as a voice filled the air.

"Maybe we move the prism, not the mirrors." Celandine suggested.

Elizabeth lowered her wand after the mirrors had shattered, taking a few deep breaths to calm herself, and then another suggestion was made. A half-smile creeping onto her face, she said wryly, "Well, obviously we have to do something different," gesturing at the shards of glass that were all that was left of the mirrors. "So moving the prism is as good an idea as any. But how and where to, exactly. Since we were apparently at least partly right about arranging the lights."

Laylee was shocked when she mirror's shattered. She listened as the voice cam back. Well, what now? The mirror's were broken, and they were they key! Well, Ravenclaw's were the key... wit. As they talked of moving the prism Laylee thought it was a good idea, but thoughts arose of it breaking as well. Laylee didnt want that... But, if they could set the prism in a certain way to make the light bounce off on it into the correct mirror's, aybe that was the key?


"Together we stand strong
Seperate, we are no better
Than the weakest link

The first which rises is not blue nor green
Nor is it the pure of heart
The second takes flight as birds of peace
The third bears its courage fiercely, blazing with truth
Its fourth blasts through its obstacles, using an astute mind

Laylee said the riddle out loud to herself again. All sorts of thoughts swarmed in her head. "It could be literal, like Hufflepuff rises, Gryffindor's blazes with fire, Slytherin's blast through... like breaking, or forcing, and Ravenclaw's.. something with a key..." Laylee said, not sure what she meant by all that. "Or, it could relate back to the founders of Hogwarts?" Laylee said. But then again, this whole thing had to have something to do with the prism. Maybe the order was already perfect, and Laylee was stressing over it for nothing.
Did they need to Unite the circles?? But, they couldnt touch the circles... Laylee was so confused, yet completely dedicated to figuring this puzzle out!

Oh, levitating the mirrors was a good idea! Hopefully this would solve the riddle..and then they would get...what? Well, it didn't matter that much, solving the riddle was the challenge, not guessing what would happen afterwards..


Okay, she had definitlynot gotten used to this starnge room and the voice yet, Meredith thought after the mirror shattered and totally gave her a fright.
Now the voice...She knew a little about prisms from her old Muggle school.
"Maybe we have to split the light so it gets in the order of the riddle" she suggested, but after a moment she realised that what she had said was wrong. "Never mind what I said, but something in that direction, maybe.."
She frowned. This really was a hard challenge, but if they worked together, they would solve it, she was sure.

"We were partially right with the mirrors so maybe we have to use them on the prism?" asked Barry he was stumped. He was a Ravenclaw. Ravenclaws were never wrong he can`t be wrong.

Mariel was so startled when the mirrors came crashing to the ground that she nearly dropped her wand. Staring at the broken shards that lay on the ground, she took a few deep breaths as she listened to the strange, disembodied voice. "At least we were on the right track," she mused aloud. Listening to a few other Ravenclaws voice their suggestions, she nodded in agreement. "Yes, I think you're right. We need to utilize the prism somehow... but I think we still need the mirrors as well, so can someone help me repair them while we think about what to do?" Mariel pointed her wand at the broken mirror pieces and commanded, "Reparo." Being that there were five broken mirrors, she wasn't sure she could fix them all on her own and waited for someone else to assist her as she watched the pieces of the first mirror fly together.

Jenn smiled as Daphne hugged her back. She grinned. "Your welcome."she said happily. Jenn nodded in agreement. "Sounds like a good idea."she agreed.

Jenn cried out in frustration. "Grr!"she said angerly. "Now they're broken." she sadly.

Jenn nodded. "I think so too."she said walking over to help Mariel fix them. "Reparo."she kept on saying to the mirrors. Finally they where all fixed. "Now what?she asked.

"Reparo!" Laylee said to one of the mirror's. She looked around at the others, still wondering how they were going to this. Then, Laylee realized that she didnt even know most of these people... She knew Jenn, but that was it. Laylee was too shy for her own good.
Then Laylee started thinking about her professors. They must have set these tests up! Or, maybe this has been here forever, just waiting for a band of Ravenclaws to solve! It made Laylee excited either way!

Jenn smiled at Laylee. "Hey thanks."she said. Jenn sat down, exhausted from all of the excitement.

"Thanks girls," Mariel smiled at Jenn and the older Ravenclaw who helped her fix the mirrors. Trying to work out some of the other suggestions, Mariel thought for a moment. "What if we use each of the mirrors to reflect light through the prism so that the light from each one lands in the middle of each of the circles? Then we could do it in the order the riddle states..." Mariel glanced around at the other students to see what they thought of her idea and if it made sense.

Despite the attempts at repairing the mirrors, the shards of glass have not sealed into the perfect mirror that it had been previously. In moments, the mirrors fall apart once again.

There was a moment of silence before a low whispering sound flowed through the room. A minute later..."Excellent." Spoke the voice again, now in a smug tone. "The next step in helping you solve the challenge will appear soon, but you must be patient. Please await further instructions."

"Your welcome!" Laylee said to Jenn smiling.

Laylee sighed at the mirror's shattered once more. Laylee listened as she heard the whispering. It sounded proud of itself for having outsmarted us! Laylee looked around. "Okay, so we be patient!" Laylee said, that shouldnt be too hard. "How about while we wait, we sit down and think about a way to solve this?" Laylee asked. She sat down and smiled up at everyone.

Daphne leapt back as the mirrors exploded into pieces, falling to the floor. Her elation at having had an idea vanished and was replaced with disappointment. "Drat!" she yelled, voice echoing amongst the sound of shattered fragments fall to the stone floor. She was positive that was how to move forward in this mad game. Her frown deepened as the mysterious voice, coming from Rowena Ravenclaw, told them they were on the right track.

She held up her wand again and stomped over to the looming statue of the Ravenclaw matriarch. "Maybe we have to blast this thing after all!" she sneered, wanting to bring the stone to rubble more than ever.

Thankfully cooler heads prevailed in the matter, already thinking of new ideas. Daphne took a few deep breaths and lowed her wand, permitting the grand figure to remain... for now. "I think we should move the prism around and try to get it just the right way so the colours appear in order," she said aloud, agreeing with the thoughts of several of her fellow treasure hunters. She didn't even know if this was even possible to do.

She watched as the "repaired" mirrors fell back to pieces. She eyed the Ravenclaw statue ominously, really wanting to take her frustration out on it, much like with a duelling dummy. That blasted voice echoed again, basically telling them to sit back. She was not at all pleased to be put on hold by this riddler. There was nothing to do but sit and wait. She walked over to the statue and sat herself down, twirling her wand.

Karma stamped her foot down on the ground in frsutration. She ran a hand through her hair and grabbed a section of it, very peeved. "If we're not supposed to move the mirrors, then what can we do?"

"Being patient is never my strong point," she muttered, sitting down next to Daphne. She looked at the girl who had suggested the prism being the center of all of this. Suddenly, Karma brightened up. "You know how Meredith said that prisms give off different kinds of light? That might be what we need to use here," she said, turning to look at it. "And all of the colors go through to create white. So what if we used the prism to reflect the four lights to bring about the white one, using the mirrors and some sort of light?" She looked up at everyone hopefully. It was a shot, but she did as the voice said, and was trying to be patient about this whole thing.

Barry sighed waiting wasn`t his strong point but he could make it work. "Well while we`re waiting we might as well get to know each other scince well I don`t know most of you. I`ll start. My name is Barry Weasley and this my third year and my greatest fear is failing a test"he said. Well it was partially true.
